I think the pic you gave is Andean. California Condors are look different. But time to post a pic!

this first one i posted of a condor flying was a cali condor

Sad part about this is I'm in CA too, lol. Couldn't see the signature red head in the flying pic though, so that's partly why I thought it was some type of eagle :P

I've seen something like this before.. Breviceps gibbosus.. maybe? Not sure on the 'common' name, though.
