The tom stopped in his tracks and whipped around. " What, Wasppaw. " Echopaw and Duckglow could tell he was frustrated, seeing as Wasppaw had been complaining the whole evening. They went to get their prey, then padded back to the nursery. " Mama? " Clarkkit spoke with his mouth full. " Yes, dear? " Silverwater responded. " Why do you keep starring at Mocha? " Silverwater wouldn't speak. " It's bed time, Clarkkit. " She said softly. She picks him up by the scruff and carries him to the nest Mocha had prepared.

About:

All cats in Marshclan are aggressive and battle hungry. Insulting each other as jokes, play fighting but way more violent then how kits would and starting random battles. With a strict leader that does not take mistakes lightly, they are battle hungry. They live in a morass, a wet land being overlapped with shallow ponds. The ponds drown grass and just barely touch the trunks of surrounding willows. The cats hunt amphibians, rodents and small birds. They are known as: Rigorous or intolerable.

sootbranch's eyes blinked open as sunlight filtered into the den. taking in a deep breath, he stood up and looked around. the brambles
that surrounded him had grown in quickly after the fire and made decent cover for him during the night. moss collected from the far
side of the river lay on the ground and provided a soft cushion for him to sleep on. he slipped through the opening in the brambles and
glanced around at the charred landscape. he knew things would grow back eventually, but until then, he would have to work with what
he had. he made his way towards the river and once he arrived he took a long drink of water, contemplating what he would do for the
day. as he lifted his head up, a thought popped into his head. i don't even have my nine lives, or my leader name. that was a extremely
important part of being a leader, so how could he have forgotten already? he looked in the direction of the moonpool and back toward
the makeshift camp. with a determined look on his face, he walked toward the moonpool, ready to become the new leader of his clan.

sootstar. the name was foreign to him, one he never thought he'd ever hear. and how ironic that he was named after the very thing that
remained after a fire. he could almost laugh. almost. he padded around the camp with nothing to do before walking away and deciding
to hunt. at least it would take his mind off of everything for a while. he was alone, his family was gone, his entire clan was gone and-
no. he shouldn't think about those things. they were in the past now and nothing he could do would change it. a few tears dropped from
his eyes and he quickly shook his head, running toward the river. he carefully crossed it, made his way into the forest, crouched low on
the ground and began to hunt.

he was tired of wandering around with nobody to talk to, nothing to do, and no real goal. he stormed out of the makeshift den, snagging
his leg on a bramble bush and yelping in pain. he didn't stop though, as rage and pain induced tears filled his eyes. he bolted toward the
moonpool. once he finally made it, he passed out on the ground, too tired and hurt to move anymore. but he blinked his eyes open once
more as he saw the shimmering form of a she-cat. it wasn't just any she-cat though, it was his mother.

"mom?" he whispered, barely able to speak.

the she cat just nodded.

"please help me... i don't know what to do!" he cried, backing away from her slightly.

she looked at him.

"do anything, i'm begging you. i need another cat to talk to.. to help me rebuild. please." he meowed, the last word barely above a
whisper.

she smiled faintly. "alright, starclan will grant your request. and what do you want.. a deputy?"

sootstar shook his head. "a queen. kits could help the clan thrive again." he murmured before adding a "thank you."

she nodded and walked forward, touching her nose to his. "if you need anything else, just come here again."

his vision became blurry as he regained consciousness.

Weather: Days are starting to grow slightly shorter and a cold is in the morning and night air. Leaves are starting to change their color. It wont be long now till prey becomes less abundant and predators will start to be around more.

As you all have may noticed CaC has its very own lineart! The lines were created by the very talented Grey_Hoodie and are being colored in by various other mods, mini mods and the CaC artists. Allowing us to use the lineart for your cats lets us give more unique patterns as we are limited to free to use pictures. If you want your cats to be transferred onto the lineart all you have to do is get in contact with a mod and the team will take care of it.

I have also noticed that a lot of you have not been adding pebbles correctly. Remember, every post you make you get four pebbles automatically. Patrols will sometimes bring back extra pebbles they find as well! Pebbles can be used here at the cac store anytime!

Richterscreech, Brouillardheart, Belettetwist, Viperinepaw, Ottomanpaw, and Montpellierpaw's patrol returned early with an injured Viperinepaw. They were trying to catch some of the falling leaves and ended up slipping on some of the leaves. They have a mild sprain and will just need a moon of rest.
Mericibubble, Flûtesong, Fauconflight, Lynxbounce, Hurricanepaw, and Archipelagopaw's patrol found interesting shiny thing covered in leaves. Will they inspect it further?

Special
Orangeray, Boarshine, Raventalon, and Twilightpounce go off in search of Valleyrunner.

As the cats grow closer to Valleyrunner's scent they can hear yowls and hisses so they pick up their pace. They see Valleyrunner being attacked by three young foxes and they charge forward into the battle. They chase the fox away but Valleyrunner is highly injured and the pain from it causes him to fall unconscious. Orangeray also took on some injuries and will need cobweb. He will have a scar along his face. Valleyrunner was bit on the back and both of his hind leg will be paralyzed and he also has a kinked tail. The bite from the snake looks worse as well and it will seem he will go blind. Valleyrunner needs celandine, two horse tail and two poppyseeds.

Gathering
Wolfwhiskers found raspberry leaves and poppyseed.

Training
Truitepaw did not learn anything this moon.

Briarthorn, Shellsnap, Cottontuft, and Burnstripe found a fox scent. They followed it through the territory and noticed it went around the camp. Not taking any chances they kept following it and found an injured fox. The patrol chased it out of the territory and no cat got hurt.

tawnyheart sighed. Finally peace. The nursery had been bustling lately with her six kits, and more on the way. Thankfully now her kits were in the elders den, entertaining themselves and listening to stories. Sugarecane was dozing in a corner and tawnyheart started to grow bored. Finally she got to her paws and trotted into the clearing to listen to wolftail, her mate and the clan's deputy, organize patrols.

Ginger gave a rumbling purr as he was informed of his role. He would be on a hunting patrol with flamepelt, sandpaw, and graywing. The flame point tom seemed hardly able to contain himself. Him and cypressclaw had just become mates a moon ago and he just generally seemed a happier tom. good for him. he thought, than remembered mocha, and got a fuzzy feeling. He shook it away and continued walking. He turned and pounced down the hill. Graywing nearly jumped out of her skin when he landed next to her. He puzzled for a moment, wondering why she was always anxious nowadays. She used to be calm, deathly calculating, but now she was always spooked by something. She even talked to herself. Ginger had no time to dwell on this, however, as he spotted a hare, and the whole patrol bounded after it.

Graywing slumped in her nest after a long day's work hunting. The sun had set and it was dark. She walked down the tunnel when suddenly her mind exploded with voices of cats that sounded familiar, but she couldn't figure out whose they were. She staggered. She reached her nest and lay there for a moment, dreading sleep, and the ghostly nightmares that would come with it. But then she remembered sandpaw. Her apprentice would need to have a well-rested mentor. She closed her eyes.
She dreamt of nothing at first, but then pawsteps. After voices. Out of all of them, she picked one out of the jumble. It was her brother's there was blood dripping from the gaping wound in his belly, and his eyes were bloodshot. She bristled with fear, as he continued to spproah, but at the last moment, he went right through her. She felt an icy chill rack her body, and it happened again as more ghosts padded out of the shadows. Suddenly ivy began to snake around her, pulling her legs out from underneath her, binding her, holding her down. One leafy tendril wrapped itself around her muzzle. She struggled but it was hopeless. A starry she-cat approached. She leaned down and chuckled evily in graywing's ear, her breath smelled of rotting things, and her teeth and claws were cracked and broken. She raised one paw, preparing to strike, and graywing felt something jab her flanks. She woke with a start to see thrushwhisker prodding her.
"Are you okay?" The warrior asked. "You looked like you were in pain." The brown warrior's voice was filled with sympathy.
"I'm fine." Graywing mewed and immediatly realized how unconvincing she sounded. "I'll be alright." She said, her voice less wobbly.
"Sugarcane is kitting!" Goldenfur mewed exitedly, poking his head into the burrow of a den.
