you want to know about infernoclan? well, it wasn't always called that. at one point the cats of
this clan flourished, but of course, that was when it was called forestclan. the change began on
when a group of twolegs came to the forest. the cats were filled with fear because twolegs had
never stepped foot on their territory before and the only tales of them were passed on from the
clans elders. hairless creatures that stood on two legs rather than four. they set up objects that
looked triangular, and left during the day, coming back before nightfall. they seemed joyful, so
the cats began to worry less and less each day. they seemed harmless, but they didn't know for
sure because no cat was brave enough to go up to them. after a week, they began taking their
strange triangles down and packing things away. once they finally left, the cats made their way
toward the place the twolegs had resided. it smelled strange. there was a few shiny objects on
the ground scattered throughout the area. in the middle of the place, there was a pit holding a
few charred pieces of wood. it seemed warm. the cats eventually left and went on with the day
and for the most part forgot about the place. they fell asleep, happy that the twolegs were not
visiting them anymore. but all was not well. cries of terror woke most of the cats up and jolted
them from their dens. it was extremely hot in their camp. and all around them, surrounding the
camp, was thousands of fiery tongues licking toward them. there was no escape from the fires.
the abandoned twoleg campfire was not put out properly, and because of this, all of forestclan
cats were never to be seen again. except one. there was one cat who decided to visit the river
late at night before the fire sparked. he tried going back to camp, but the fire was now coming
toward him. with fear in his eyes, he ran. as far away as he could until he felt safe. burying his
head in his paws, he fell asleep and when he woke up, he made his way back towards the camp
in the hopes of finding everyone there. but they weren't. the entire camp was burned, and the
forest around it was too. the fire seemed to have stopped over night, but the tom was horrified
because none of his clanmates could be seen. he knew that the worst had happened but he did
not want to believe it. he swore that he would rebuild the clan to its former glory. on that day
he renamed the clan. infernoclan. to remember those who were lost in the fire, and motivate
him to continue on. he build a nest near the old camp, one that wasn't protected by any trees
because they were burnt and scarred and completely leafless. but he would have to adapt. any
future cats of inferno clan would have to adapt. they would learn to live in that burned forest.

territory

the camp is located in a burned down forest, with some new plant growth peeking through the
charred ground. there is a river some ways away from the camp where fish can be found for a
food source, and water can be drank. on the other side of the river there is more forest, where
you could find herbs, cobwebs and other things, as that side of the forest thrives, but can be a
pain to access. be careful not to slip while crossing the river, as it could be deadly. outside the
camp, there is a system of tunnels where the fresh kill is stored along with herbs. in the middle
of camp there is a large tree that managed to stay untouched by the fire. perhaps it was a sign
from starclan, but for whatever reason it is there. from this tree, clan meetings are called and
held by the clan leader, and because of it's history, the cats choose to stay in the charred forest.

Sprinting away from wherever he was before, Venomstar ran like his life depended on it. He wasn't scared,
maybe a little hurt emotionally, but definitely not scared.
A little out of breath, he came to a marshy area. He scoped it out, not seeming to mind about his damp feet.
He discovered a dry clearing in what seemed to be the middle of the marsh, it looked inhabited, but he made
sure just to be safe. He figured it would be perfect to start a clan of his own. After he set up some things,
busy with thoughts, he realized how lonely he felt. Regretting his decisions, he decided to follow the wind
and it led him to a moonpool.
After what felt like drowning 9 times, he tried his best to get out of there as quick as possible. He regained
his stability, and decided to gather food to grow his confidence.

The lazy drifting of multicolored leaves heralds the beginning of leaffall throughout the clans. Temperatures have begun to drop, causing cats to fluff out their coats and huddle close at night. Medicine cats begin receiving more patients complaining of stuffy noses and sore throats and are going out more often to stockpile the necessary herbs for the coming moons. Warriors do not yet have to worry about a dwindling fresh kill pile with many squirrels and other prey animals scrambling about to take advantage of nature's bounty, but they must keep an eye out not to strain themselves as the weather grows colder.

this clan flourished, but of course, that was when it was called forestclan. the change began on
when a group of twolegs came to the forest. the cats were filled with fear because twolegs had

them from their dens. it was extremely hot in their camp. and all around them, surrounding the
camp, was thousands of fiery tongues licking toward them. there was no escape from the fires.
the abandoned twoleg campfire was not put out properly, and because of this, all of forestclan
cats were never to be seen again. except one. there was one cat who decided to visit the river
late at night before the fire sparked. he tried going back to camp, but the fire was now coming
toward him. with fear in his eyes, he ran. as far away as he could until he felt safe. burying his
head in his paws, he fell asleep and when he woke up, he made his way back towards the camp
in the hopes of finding everyone there. but they weren't. the entire camp was burned, and the
forest around it was too. the fire seemed to have stopped over night, but the tom was horrified
because none of his clanmates could be seen. he knew that the worst had happened but he did
not want to believe it. he swore that he would rebuild the clan to its former glory. on that day
he renamed the clan. infernoclan. to remember those who were lost in the fire, and motivate
him to continue on. he build a nest near the old camp, one that wasn't protected by any trees
because they were burnt and scarred and completely leafless. but he would have to adapt. any
future cats of inferno clan would have to adapt. they would learn to live in that burned forest.

territory

the camp is located in a burned down forest, with some new plant growth peeking through the
charred ground. there is a river some ways away from the camp where fish can be found for a
food source, and water can be drank. on the other side of the river there is more forest, where
you could find herbs, cobwebs and other things, as that side of the forest thrives, but can be a
pain to access. be careful not to slip while crossing the river, as it could be deadly. outside the
camp, there is a system of tunnels where the fresh kill is stored along with herbs. in the middle
of camp there is a large tree that managed to stay untouched by the fire. perhaps it was a sign
from starclan, but for whatever reason it is there. from this tree, clan meetings are called and
held by the clan leader, and because of it's history, the cats choose to stay in the charred forest.

katter av den frosne øya translates to "cats of the frozen island". the island
of svalbard sits at approximately 77.9750° N, 20.9752° E and is one of the
world's northernmost inhabitated areas. on the largest island, called spitz-
bergen, lives a group of cats who have adapted to survive harsh temperat-
ures. despite technically being in the arctic circle, the temperatures are
nearly 4°F higher than similar latitudes in russia and canada. the west spi-
tzbergen current, a branch of the north atlantic current system, regulates
the temperatures, particularly in winter. temperatures in summer range f-
rom 39-43°F while temperatures in winter range from 3-10°F. cold polar
air and wet sea air meet here, creating low pressure, changeable weather,
and strong winds. precipitation is common, but it usually falls in small ba-
tches. upon the northwestern coast of spitzbergen lies a sheer cliffside in
which katter av den frosne øya makes their camp. an intricate system of
tunnels protect them from the cold weather. the deeper in the tunnels y-
ou go, the more important, old, or young the cat is that sleeps there. the
nursery, eldlre den, and konge/dronning den reside the deepest in the tu-
nnels. in the next ring resides the seniorjagere, seniorbeskyttere, hertug-
er, hertuginne, and helbreder. outside of those dens are the lavere jage-
re, nedre beskyttere, and laerling dens. the outermost dens are not used
except for storing prey, gathering to share tongues, meetings, and celeb-
rations. to exit the camp, a natural staircase has formed under one entr-
ance which cats climb up or down, either to the ocean or to the open te-
rritory above.

the ranks are special in this group. to begin with, there are three social c-
lasses. the uppermost class is the konge or dronning (depending on the
nder). they have the utmost authority, being the only rank within the up-
permost class. the next level down is essentially the nobles. hertuger are
dukes while hertuginne are duchesses. there are two of each, one for ea-
ch of the main four classes in the next level down. the arbeidere class c-
onsists of the majority of the group. the jagere are the hunters. they are
split into the seniorjagere and lavere jagere. once a cat on the jagere p-
ath reaches fifty moons, they are promoted to seniorjagere. until that p-
oint, they are considered lavere jagere. the other path is the beskyttere
path. the same rule consists for the beskyttere. once they reach fifty mo-
ons, they are considered seniorbeskyttere. until that point, they are ned-
re beskyttere. the young cats over six moons who are in training are call-
ed laerling. they are given a path to follow by the gods when they turn six
moons old. the healer of the clan is called the helbreder. they have no si-
gnificance other than their skill with herbs. she-cats who are pregnant or
nursing are called mødre. their young, cats under six moons old, are call-
ed kattunge. finally, the cats who are too old to leave the camp are called
the eldre. all these cats pray to the eight main gods: odin de kloke, frigg
moren, thor den mektige, baldr det rene, tyr den motige, loki det kaotiske,
freyr den fredelige, and freya den skjebneveveren.
