Whiskered Away

Hunting (Aristaeus); Aristaeus' patrol catches x2 small fish!

Hunting (Rainstorm); Rainstorm's patrol catches x2 scraps and x1 lizard! Chocolaterain was determined to make the most out
of this hunting session, determined to provide for his clan. Bluesky was right beside him, the two brothers talking in whispers. That's when Chocolaterain noticed a clearly young badger scavenging around. Chocolaterain knew badgers were dangerous- but the one in front of him looked pitiful and when it's black eyes met Chocolaterain, it let out a weak call. Bluesky looked worriedly from his brother to the badger, expressing concerns that it might kill him, but Chocolaterain brushed it off. It was too small to kill either tom. Besides, what if this badger becomes an ally to Whiskered Away? It was a bit farfetched, but the chocolate tom was hopeful. Bluesky watched from the sidelines, his gaze wary as Chocolaterain dropped a squirrel by the badger, who immediately began chowing down. Chocolaterain smiled, and Bluesky, seeing as the situation didn't turn out terribly, decided to catch up with the rest of the patrol. As time passed on, Bluesky noticed with a jolt of worry that his brother was not among the patrol. He gathered the patrol and tried to follow his brother's scent, but once he got to the area he was previously, he stared in horror. His brother was laying lifeless on the ground, the scent of an adult badger mingling in the air. It seemed this adult badger didn't take too kindly to Chocolaterain.

a clan of community and creativity

inkclan exists by the beaches that used to be run by human civilisation, but was swiftly abandoned due to constant flooding, tsunamis and threats that made them struggle to survive. when the humans had left, it was in a hurry, during a stormy night. any housecats absent at the time were left behind, causing them to agree to band together. though times were tough, their community strived, and paws were held throughout the tough times.

eventually, inkclan learnt how to adapt- they learnt how to swim amongst the shores, learnt how to fish, and adapted to making homes on the go- the clan does not permanently reside anywhere unless during the time of a cat becoming pregnant or ill, in which they will remain in the shack covered in moss and vines, the only things holding the old thing together, farthest from the shore.

inkclan mostly relies on fish, but if the time comes, they will rely on seabirds. however, these seabirds can also be predators to the cats such as little kits, as both parties have figured out that they will need to fight each other for food.

inkclan usually names their cats based off of aquatic creatures or their personality. the bigger the fish, the higher ones rank. a birthname will be changed to please the ancestors unless a kit is born into the role; e.g. only the leader's kits may become the leader, and medicine cats will receive dreams from ancestors to alert them if a kit from an incoming litter is to be an apprentice, unless the ancestors give one themselves.

Archangel's Blessing stood atop the theater's stage, looking down at the torn, abandoned chairs in front of her. This was her home. Even if it had been left to rot, the theater was hers. A sense of pride filled her, but she stiffened as she heard a commotion coming from the entrance. She carefully stepped down, her hackles rising. "Ow! You're stepping on my tail!" "Sorry, sorry!" Two voices echoed throughout the building, and the oriental dipped her head in confusion. Two cats barreled through the entrance, and Archangel's Blessing jumped back in shock. One held a shield, and the other had a collar around its neck, which jingled as the two moved around. "Uhm, hello?" The oriental asked. The younger one, the oriental with the collar, stood up, "Oh, we're so sorry to intrude! We passed by, but a storm rolled in, and we were trying to find shelter." The blue one nodded. The sovereign looked at the two, "It's alright. Hey, would you two like to join my colony? I just started it, but you guys seem like capable cats." The oriental brightened, and her older companion nodded, "Sure. It'd be nice to stop traveling and finally rest."

Archangel's Blessing looked down at the two cats from the throne in the center of the abandoned castle. "Today, we perform this ritual in honor of our Ancestors. They have traveled far and wide but have decided to stay here and join us. Today, I pronounce them full members of Archangel's Tomb." The two cats were bright and excited, their eyes gleaming. "The one who bears a shield with such resilience will be named Shield's Valor. Will you accompany me through thick and thin and be my Lieutenant?" Shield's Valor was shivering with excitement and gave a quick nod. Archangel's Blessing turned towards the younger oriental, "You have shown me your excellent knowledge with herbs and healing. Frost's Jingle, will you accompany my clan and I through any dangers and be my Shaman?" The younger oriental nodded so feverishly that the bells on her collar jingled. "In the eyes of our Ancestors, you two are now members of Archangel's Tomb."

↪ Peanutdash's patrol seemed to be going well till the patrol heard a loud snap and a shriek of pain. They looked back to see Walruspath, who was at the end of the patrol, caught in a hidden bear trap. His tail was caught, and he lost his sense of strength as he stared at the patrol pleadingly. Almost immediately, Heatherdust ran to get the help of the medics. Bananadance was the first to arrive on scene, holding cobwebs and various other herbs. Chilinose soon followed, and they knew they had to act quickly or Walruspath would die of blood loss. The bear trap hung on to tightly to Walruspath's tail, and so the quickest and surest way to ensure the young tom's survival was amputating the tail, so that's what they did. The white tom passed out from shock, and was quickly taken back to camp. Once he awoke, Bamboolight was right against him, and Walruspath could feel the worry of his brother. With a cough, Bamboolight was alerted to his brother's presence and he called over Chivewhisker to look at Walruspath, who Bamboolight was looking at with concern. Walruspath will require x3 moons of rest, x1 poppy seed, x1 cobweb, and x1 horsetail to recover.

PARADISE RISEN

malibusky's patrol seem to fulfill thorn's worries, as they run into the pack of dogs before they are able to get back to camp. luckily, there's only two pups that are facing them. the young dogs are lanky, overexcited, and not at all put together. they curiously swipe at patchcloud, who hisses and scratches one of them over the nose. hurt in their body and pride, the two pups run away whimpering and none of the cats are hurt. phew. that could have been bad.
crowfrost's patrol finds x1 mouse carcass by the electrical box of one of the rides. it's a little fried, probably from chewing through a few wires. unsatisfied, the patrol stays out until they catch x2 squirrels as well.
sunshine's patrol finds x3 voles.
birchclaw's patrol finds x2 pigeons.
while herb hunting, softfern collects x3 marigold. on her way to check on the catmint patch, she spots a cat hunched over the herbs, as if counting them. a small noise alerts the stranger to softfern's presence and they scurry off. if malibusky wants, he can send out a patrol to find the cat. it seems like they knew their way around herbs...
sesamestreak returns to the clan as a warrior!
everyone learns a skill but hawkpaw, mainly because thorn doesn't feel well and everyone else already completed their training for the day. is hawkpaw mad? only a little

ARCHANGELS TOMB

angel and shield are only able to find x2 mice. it looks like the place they chose to hunt was already reaped by a hawk.
luckily, on their patrol they are able to find a warrior who carries x1 crow with them. the cat looks at them warily. they suppose they're willing to share if archangel's tomb provides some shelter.

he sits perched upon the rooftop of the old cabin that had long lost its colour due to the constant waves smashing against it late during the afternoon. manateestar lifts his head up and intakes the salty air, shifting his body along to the waving of the tide lapping at the shore. he thinks for a moment, it seems awfully quiet, and has for decades. inkclan tends to go in and out at times, most of those times resulting in extinction. the cat bows his head as he thinks about his father, the leader before him. a nice tom, he was.

no use waiting around, though. why should he? he's got a clan to revive and feed.
