rippleclan is a reputable group of cats who thrive
in the lakeside territory. their first leader was na
med ripplestar, who set up their clan camp in the
middle of a lake: where a flourishing island stood
proud. after a horrific earthquake countless moon
s ago, the island broke up and the cats moved to,
the outer shores of the lake. they are usually non,
hostile and pacifist cats who have strong morals a
nd strict laws: those who don't follow the laws wil
l be met with steel claws. their territory expands
to the forest which they call the 'Willows" for the
overabundance of willow trees in the area. other t
hing include their lush overgrowth of berries and h
erbs. they are very medicinal and medicine cats h
old more power than in a typical clan as they are t
her only ones who can identify the rare berries wh
ich grow frequently in their territory. rippleclan!!!

Morning light drew upon the trio, a moon since past. Beetlestar was happy with her companions, still seeking more members. However, since the dangers of disease would strike at any time, and even considering that the water was too cold to dip her paws in. The RippleClan leader exited her den, calling forward Ginger- now Oakhollow, for his first catch was a squirrel inside a hollowed oak tree. Hungry, she approached him to construct a 'patrol'. "Oakhollow, let us go hunting." she then dipped over to Slateslide's direction. "Slateslide, I think we should have you collect herbs. You are somewhat experienced from the time you lived on your own, no?" The tom gave her an unknowing look, but he did know some about herbs. Though, that being said, he was far from expert level and only knew the most basic herbs, which he stumbled upon by himself. The sleek tom hopped off of his stone- "I surely don't have anything to do at the moment, so I believe I should."

So in RippleClan, a new tradition was born for the sake of safety. All cats are to know basic herbs.. since they had no medicine cat, of course!

((if this isn't allowed just make him find grass and think it's a herb. also, could you do something dramatic if/when we find our medicine cat? i want it so that it can emphasize the need of a good healer in this Clan where you're isolated on a tiny island surrounded by a river with no immediate herbal access unless you swim.))

RippleClan's first leader, Ripplestar, is Beetlestar's grandmother. 'RippleClan' was now re-founded, but unchanged.

RippleClan traditions include- when a kit is first apprentice, their mentor will throw them into the waters to get them used to the currents(unlike their peaceful reputation, this is something to help them cope with the island's long, surrounding lake). There are very rarely any deaths, which only happens if the apprentice somehow manages to drown under supervision. RippleClanners must be strong swimmers, so that there will be less drownings. The entire camp is on a small island, therefore every cat needs the skills to paddle through the waters, or else they will never be able to travel or hunt. They have strict laws of not killing other cats- even ones in enemy Clans. They hunt prey that are sick or old, never the young, plump ones, unless they have no other choice. They respect nature and try to recycle all bedding. They have great love for their elders and any senior members, being treated with respect for their actions. Leaders of RippleClan must live in the greatest Waterfall, which connects the island's river to a large cliff, for three moons. However, since Beetlestar is the re-founding leader, and there is nobody else beforehand, she wishes to perform this after RippleClan gets a stronger foundation. All cats of RippleClan are taught how to save drowning cats and herbs to treat various common diseases. RippleClanners also do not follow traditional name rules and prefer individuality and deeper meaning. RippleClanners also only fight for honor and are very unlikely to cause disputes. They do not wish to make enemies unless they are ruthless and unlawful, which they will do anything to stop. Justice is a big part of this Clan. The need of a good healer in this Clan where you're isolated on a tiny island surrounded by a river with no immediate herbal access unless you swim, is huge. Therefore, medicine cats are treated with lots of respect. While not always, there can be two adult medicine cats at a time.

The story so far; Beetlestar has 're'-founded RippleClan on a destined island. She has found two cats, Slateslide, her first warrior, and Oakhollow, her deputy.

Tigerstep bounds in front of Maplestar playfully, but she simply pads around him. The tom-cat rolled his eyes. "Can't we at least make this patrol be a little fun?" he sighs, but Maplestar stares at him behind her back. She turns back to the forest in front of her, and continues walking. "No, Tigerstep. We must stay alert just in case any dangers or threats could overcome our territory." The tom-cat waddles behind her, imitating her teasingly, before joining her again. "Snowwhisker is more fun to be with than you." he grumbles.

Snowwhisker walked along the territory, bored. He let out a soft "hmph". He watched the medicine cat of the clan, Echosong, walk towards the edge of the forest. She gave him a sharp glance, and he yelped quietly, leaping over to where she was. "Are you ready to find some herbs?" The she-cat asked, wishing to get this over with. Snowwhisker nodded quickly, knowing not to question her authority. They walked off into the forest. There was not to be any hunting for a while until five moons, when the prey would no longer be as scarce when they had arrived.

Lichenstar found Cottonpaw, soaking up the last rays before the 'blanket clouds' set in. "Cottonpaw, I know we haven't done a lot of training, especially battle training. I'll show you how to knock your opponent over, come to the training grounds with me." Cottonpaw stood up, shook out her pelt, and followed, grumbling all the way. Why did he get to boss her around so much?

Stoatsock and Lynxeye were chatting by the fresh kill pile, trading facts about their loner lives. "I used to live in a twoleg-clan building, until two twoleg kits decided to try to put me in what they call a 'pool'. Then I ran away and lived by myself." Lynxeye omitted the part about Twigster, his best friend that he used to do everything with..until...- He stopped that train of though when Stoatsock gave him a questioning look. "You're not afraid of water, are you?" The tom shook his head. "Er, no, not at all! I just didn't like the 'pool', it smelled terrible." Stoatsock nodded. "If you were, that'd be bad, since Strikeclan pretty much lives around rivers." She smirked. [color=#FFBF00]"Are you sure you're not scared of water?" Lynxeye changed the topic. Shinestar guided the cream she-cat back to camp, nudging her to the medicine cat's den. Leafrush's head snapped up from her herb organization, and she hurried to the injured cat. "It's ok, I'll patch up your leg. I'm Leafrush, Solarclan's medicine cat by the way. The cat who just brought you in is Shinestar, our leader." The cat looked over at Shinestar, and meowed a half-hearted greeting. "I'm Smudge." The cat said. Shinestar looked deep in though for a moment, until she stepped forward. "I have decided your apprentice name. You shall be known as Smudgepaw, until you receive your warrior name." Smudgepaw smiled gratefully at Leafrush and Shinestar. "Cloudswift, you'll be Smudgepaw's mentor when her leg heals." Cloudswift, whom had returned from his patrol with Thrushflight, stared at Shinestar for a moment before turning to Smudgepaw and smiling. Smudgepaw tentatively returned the smile.

Cloudswift and Thrushflight talked for a moment a little ways away from the medicine den, when Shinestar came up to them. "We need to patrol the borders once more, to make sure that no other Clans are trespassing." They nodded, and followed Shinestar out of the camp.

"Is this where you scented the rogue?" Emberstar asked. Ashenclaw nodded, looking around. "Let's start looking then, the rogue may have come back." The deputy nodded and went off in another direction. Frostpaw hurried after her mentor. Patchthorn looked at Emberstar before going off in another direction, knowing the leader would be fine on her own for a little while.

The sun had started to sink back down the sky when Emberstar made her way back to where she and the others had broken up. Moments later, Patchthorn returned as well, shaking his head with a frustrated sigh. "I didn't find anything." He mewed. Emberstar sighed and sat down, waiting for Ashenclaw and Frostpaw to return.

"We found the rogue!" A shriek came from the trees. Emberstar jumped to her paws as Frostpaw bounded up to her and Patchthorn. "We found it!" The apprentice repeated as Ashenclaw and a brown and white tabby stepped into the clearing.

Webfang bunched his legs beneath him, tensing before finally pouncing on his prey that was sitting on the roots of a tree. The brown tabby quickly bit into its neck until he heard a snap. Webfang picked up his catch and hurried back to camp.

"Oh dear..." Cloudwatcher whispered, staring at the grieving kittypet that was sprawled out in front of her. The kittypet raised her head, staring blankly at Cloudwatcher before curling protectively around her dead kits. "Here, come with me." Cloudwatcher mewed, stepping towards the queen.

The queen stiffened, hissing at Cloudwatcher. "We can take your kits back to camp and we can help you bury them." Cloudwatcher mewed.
While on patrol, Cloudwatcher found a grieving queen

"I should find herbs for the queen..." Palenose muttered to himself as he left camp to search for herbs that could help the grieving queen that Cloudwatcher had brought back to camp.
While herb hunting, Palenose found parsley and chamomile

Frecklepaw snorted, pushing Oatpaw further up the tree. "Move faster, you slow poke." The tom mewed. Oatpaw looked over his shoulder and stuck his tongue out at Frecklepaw before pushing himself further up the tree.
While training, Frecklepaw and Oatpaw learned the Climbing skill

Whitenose sat in the nursery, purring softly at her newborns. A pure white tom and a silver tabby molly. And curled beside her was the very father of such lovely kits. He too was asleep, letting out soft snores that made her chuckle to herself. Smokeclaw had come to her in the dead of the night as the clan moved to the gathering and the rest was asleep in their dens. The fact that he left Sageclan and came all the way just to be with her and the kits. It was almost too good for her. She nuzzled against him and purred before cling her eyes. Maybe get some sleep before her kits are up and start being for attention. Though all of that hoped was dashed as she heard the gasp that filled the nursery, making her head lift almost immediately. Blue eyes met green ones as Whitenose was greeted with the sight of her shocked brother. But his gaze wasn't on her, no. It was on the gray tom soundly sleeping beside her, care free. "Blackstr-" "Who the hell is this?" He spat, demanding to know who this stranger was so close to his sister. And why was she allowing it? "Blackstreak call down. It's... Smokeclaw from Sageclan." She admitted, nudging said tom a bit to try and wake him up but got no response. Blackstreak looked confused for a moment before his eyes narrowed a bit. "Why is he here?" He asked. Though as he watched his sister's gaze turn downward to the two fur balls wrapped in by her tail, his eyes widened before narrowing harshly. "What did you do Whitenose?" "N-Nothing bad! I-I'm sure! He just wanted to be with the kits and I-" "This isn't like our time in time he forest Whitenose!" He interrupted her with scathing soft hisses as to not wake anyone. Though Whitenose felt that this level of dynamics was more frightening than if he had yelled at her. "We can't do what we want or need to do to survive anymore. We have rules we must follow! A code!" He said, stamping a paw seriously. "B-But I haven't broken the code! ...Did I?" She asked, suddenly scared. She'd been in the clan for so long. She knew the code, followed it to the letter. What could she possibly be breaking? "Yes you are, you fool! The very first one at that." He hissed, both disappointed and angered by his sister's ignorance. Sure he knew she wasn't the brightest of the bunch, more skilled in her nose than her mind, but she was indeed smarter than this! The dread on his sister's face made him feel a flash of guilt for yelling at her and he began to calm about. "Surely this isn't... that bad Blackstreak." She smiled optimistically, causing the rage to return. "You idiot. Do you suddenly think the code doesn't apply to you?" "N-No? Bu-" "Do you think your special?" "No. B-Bu-" "You know, you are more stupid than I thought. It's sad." He hissed for a final time before turning out of the nursery, leaving his sister alone to process his harsh words. She was confused, unsure of what had just happened. Looking down to her paws, then to her mate who seemed unaffected by the sudden argument. Though that didn't make her feel any better. All she felt was the self-hatred of making Blackstreak angry...

Blackstreak stormed out of the nursery just in time to run into both the leader and the deputy who seemed on their way to talk with the queens about the oncoming Leaf-bare. The warrior stopped right before he managed to run into them and muttered a sharp apology. "Is everything okay Blackstreak? What's wrong?" Thrushclaw asked, worried about the normally calm and quiet tom who, shockingly, hasn't been sleeping as much as before. "What's wrong? Ha! Go in and see for yourself 'what's wrong'." He hissed before turning to leave for the camp entrance. Once again he found himself running into another cat but this time it was his clueless crush Russetfall. "You don't look so good Blackstreak..." "Oh you noticed that haven't you?" The tom muttered under his breath quietly, ears drooping at the thought. As he had hoped, Russetfall didn't here him and went back to smiling at his closest friend. "Hey, why don't you and me go hunting? Like back then?" He offered, nudging his best friend. Blackstreak glanced up and gave a tired smile. "Yes. I'd actually love that." He said, beginning to exit the camp. "Wait! I have to go say hi to Aspenleaf." Blackstreak hissed harshly at his friend, but then stopped abruptly, going slightly limp. "I give up. This is all just pointless.." He said. "What is?" "This whole thing. I just can't do it anymore. I can't pretend that my love for you is non-existent. I can't watch you try over and over for a pointless love when I've been in front of you this entire time." He said, a few tears threatening to fall from his green eyes. Russetfall was stunned. His best friend loved him? He began to take a step forward only for Blackstreak to immediately back away. "Blackstr-" "No. Just no. You've already broke me. Always on my mind, all I can't think about, all I can see all I can feel... it's dumb of me. Heh, really dumb. But you already crushed my heart, watched it shatter. What else can you do?" Blackstreak was now releasing tears, but there was a said smile on his face as he finally gave up on the love of his life. "Blackstreak. I-I didn't..." Russetfall began but didn't know how to continue. His heartbeat quickened at the sight of his friend's tears. Blackstreak was normally so calm, and collected. Barely speaking, keeping his emotions in check, and one of the kindest tom's in camp. And here he was, crying in front of him. D-Did he really break him? "I'm going now..." Blackstreak suddenly said before beginning to run out the camp. Russetfall would have followed him if he could, but he was the fastest cat in camp. There was no catching him. So all that left Russetfall to do was stare at the cave entrance that he lost his broken-hearted best friend, and feeling guilty for being the one to do it.

Jaystar was surprised by Blackstreak's hiss, but she didn't reprimand him for she he knew that something had been bugging him as of late. Running more often than sleeping, Always offering to stay up all night and guard the camp, and not retiring to the warrior's den in the morning to sleep. She was worried about him, but she'd have to save it for later. Thrushclaw exchanged a look with her and she knew that he was thinking the same thing. A heartbeat later, the two stepped into the nursery, first smiling and the sense of nostalgia then at the bodies of the two queens and their kits. Whitenose was already up and nd seemed to be talking to- Wait. That's a tom's voice! "Oh! Jaystar, I wasn't expecting to see you to-" "What is going on here!?" She demanded as she could finally see Smokeclaw of Sageclan beside her. Thrushclaw growled at the other deputy. "Why are you here Smokeclaw?" Whitenose visibly flinched and crouched closer to her kits. She honestly didn't expect such a problem to occur. What was wrong with having a mate from another- Oh dear stars I did break the code. Whitenose thought with wide fearful eyes. How could she have not known? Why was she so stupid? This won't be good.. Luckily it seems tat Smokeclaw was prepared for this as he stood up from beside his mate and bowed his head respectfully to the two higher ups. "I, Smokeclaw, no longer desired a life in Sageclan, knowing that my mate and kits were here. I ask of you that I may join Soulclan and stay by Whitenose's side for as long as life permits. Please allow me to be a father to my kits the right way." He pleaded, feeling the anger radiate off the two, visibly tensing but trying to stay strong as he kept his head bowed. Jaystar looked at Thrushclaw who seemed to sigh, defeatedly. They were cats of kindness sure but a break in the code was just something you cannot bypass. "Fine. You may join Soulclan. But do not get comfortable. Your actions require punishment." Jaystar huffed, before turning sharply on her paws to leave. Thrushclaw looked at the two and shook his head before following after. Smokeclaw practically crumple to the ground afterwards, feeling relief for making it through that, but also fear of what the two planned to do. "Smokeclaw your amazing." Whitenose purred, giving him a nuzzle before looking down. "What are they going to do to us?" "I don't know Whitenose.. I don't know..

Thrushclaw tried to not think about Smokeclaw and Whitenose as he began to work on patrols. As he got into the motion though, he found it wasn't too hard to forget. "And be careful, that rogue may be out there. The border patrol should keep an eye out. You secondary goal is to find that rogue." He announced before looking at each patrol. He was leading one of the hunting patrols with Amberstorm leading the other and Graystone leading the border patrol. Knowing he had a secure group, he looked up at the first light in the sky and nodded. "Aspenleaf. Hearthflame. You may lead the way." He chuckled to the two medicine cats before they left the camp to go herb gathering. Once they got a distance away, the other patrols moved out, splitting apart and going their separate ways. Sootwhisker and Sorrelwhisperhadn't been included in this round of patrols. Though it was a little upsetting, the two didn't mind being together alone. "Been quite some time hasn't it? Since we've been alone like this." Sootwhisker chuckled to his mate. She giggled before flicking her tail a bit in the language that they had created together back when they were apprentices. "Yea. With Leaf-bare coming, we've been working nonstop." She smiled before giving him a gentle lick on his cheek. He chuckled and returned the gesture before allowing her to lean her head on his shoulder. "You know Sorrelwhisper... Have you thought about... you know... kits?" He asked, making the molly sit up so fast in surprise that they butted heads. They groaned in pain and she signed and sorry before asking. "I have... but I'm scared..." She admitted. "Scared of what?" "That they'll end up like me. Mute-" "Oh! You mean that they'll turn out beautiful and amazing but your so kind by nature you don't want to make the world jealous." Sootwhisker grinned as he watched her blush and look down. "It doesn't matter if they can't speak, can't see, can't hear. They will be ours. And that's all they really need. And they'd be just as lovely, kind and sweet as their mother." Sorrelwhisper smiled at him, gently nuzzling him and purring. "I love you." "Yea, I love you too."

Mudpaw rubbed her anklet of grasses with her opposite paw as she waited for her new mentor, Shadowtail. Cloudscent had explained the tradition of the grasses to her, but she still didn't quite get it. Hey! Ready to go? Mudpaw jumped up, and nodded eagerly to Shadowtail Born that way! she said Great! Then let's get going! Shadowtail bounded out of camp, and Mudpaw raced after her.

Whisperstar was pacing in her den. Emberclaws...her former deputy had brought Mudpaw to Lunarclan...Whisperstar just...didn't know what to make of that. She flashed back to a few moons ago, when the clan had been swapping backstories, and all she had said was an old love. Had that made Emberclaws take notice? Was that why his spirit had appeared? And what of the others, Moonwatcher, Clearsight, the kits...were they in Starclan as well? Or were they alive. Last Whisperstar had seen of them, Clearsight and her kits had left the clan after Emberclaw's death, and Moonwatcher...she had vanished a few moons later. Whisperstar sighed, and shook her head, trying to make sense of everything that was going on. But one thing for sure...she couldn't tell the clan yet...not until she could puzzle together everything that was swirling around in her head. Whisperstar? Whitefoot's voice snapped her out of her thoughts. Yes Whitefoot? she asked, not meaning for the tang of annoyance to break through in her voice, but it must have, seeing as Whitefoot flinched back a little bit. Hawkthorn is about ready to head out on patrol he said quickly He wanted to know if you would like to go with him. I'm headed hunting, so I can't Whisperstar sighed. Tell him I'm on my way...a patrol should clear my headWhitefoot nodded, and ducked out of sight.

Whitefoot nodded to Hawkthorn She's coming he said, before walking towards the entrance I'm heading to hunt. he added, before exiting camp and bounding towards no-where in particular. What was going on with Whisperstar? Ever since Mudpaw had arrived, and told her story to the black and white she-cat, Whisperstar had been all out of wack, pacing and being silent for longer and longer periods of time. It was nerve-racking, but only confirmed his theories that something in Whisperstar's past either embarrassed her, or scared her.

will have the two anklets, as well as a tailband,

as a tailband, medicine apprentices will have
two anklets and a tailband, and leaders will

Ripplestar looks at Splashfur. For once he realized how beautiful the deputy was. Minnowleap looked a bit uncomfortable so the leader stopped gazing at the lovely she-cat. "Yes?"
"I wanted to hunt with my brothers. Could Dapplefeather teach Honeypaw a bit about herbs, in case she needs to know one day?"
"Fine,"
Pebblefrost smiled at his apprentice. They were growing close.

"Hey, Featherstorm!" Minnowleap's trill reached the young cat. "Yes, is it important?"
"Very," came his reply so she rushed up.
"What?"
"Did you know you're beautiful?"
"Did you know you're flattering?"
"Did you know I've loved you all my life?"
"Of course I'll be your mate!" Featherstorm purred. "...that is, if you're asking."
"Of course." Minnowleap nuzzled her softly.
Tigerwing finds PineClan. Ripplestar's sons hunt. Honeypaw learns things from Dapplefeather and Minnowleap and Featherstorm are the mates I always shipped.

Dapplefeather smiled to Honeypaw "Alright, now, what's this one, and what does it do?" Honeypaw squinted at the large wide-spread dark green leaves. "Ummm...Dog Leaves?" Dappledfeather sighed "Dock Leaves, but you were close. And what's it for?" Honeypaw tilted her head, sniffing at the leaves, her eyes widened and she grinned "Hey, I know this one! It makes scratches feel better!" Dapplefeather nodded "Correct. Why don't you go take a break now, we've been at this a while" Honeypaw nodded, and as she left the den she called back "Thanks Dappledeather!"

As the apprentice left, Featherstorm entered. "Hello Featherstorm" Dapplefeather said "What can I do for you?" Featherstorm smiled, and whispered in her ear. the Medicine cat nodded, and examined the she-cat "You are correct Featherstorm" she said a while later "You are expecting. Who's the lucky tom?" Featherstorm smiled "Minnowleap"

Ripplestar leapt onto the highrock. "Today, my daughter's kits become apprentices. Lilykit and Sockkit, come here." His young grandkits clambered up to meet him. "Gingerflash, you are ready for your second apprentice. I hope you train Lilypaw well." Sockkit shuffled his paws nervously. He wondered who his mentor would be. Featherstorm would make a great mentor, her being so kind to everyone, but she was about to kit so it wouldn't be possible. He liked Splashfur, Gibgerflash's sister as well. "And Sockkit, you're mentor will be Flintberry." The words struck him like a rock. Was he destined to be a medicine cat, barren from having kits? "From this day ubtil you are worthy of your warrior names, you will be known as Sockpaw and Lilypaw. Sockpaw lifted hos head condidently while his sister licked her shoulder, embarrassed. "I am Sockpaw, destined to follow the path of the stars!" He meowed.

"Well, Sockpaw, destined to follow the stars, your first task will be helping Featherstorm with her kitting." Flintberry smiled to her nephew.

Gingerflash laughs at Sockpaw's words. "Alrighty Lilypaw, let's train with Softpaw and Chirppaw, ok?" Lilypaw nodded. These two cats were bullies but she was no snitch. She was scared what would happen if she did anyway.
Lilykit and Sockpaw become apprentices and Lilykit trains with Softpaw and Chirppaw. Featherstorm is kitting.
