"Yes, Alpha." The small dog crept out from under the shrubbery. "Hang on, how long have you been eavesdropping on us?" Trevor had not said he was an alpha. "For the whole time really, I'm very sorry, I was just wondering if I could join your Kennel? As... a Irontooth?" "Tell me your name." Trevor commanded, "And don't call me Alpha." "Yes sir, uh...?" "Trevor" "Yes of course, Trevor, my name is Anne." "Very well then," Trevor decided he wanted any dog he could find, help them survive this awful season. "Follow me." Trevor introduced Anne to Kai, and it took Kai several minutes to stop staring. "I'm awake I swear!" Man is she beautiful. "Kai... it's rude to stare." "Jeez! I know I know already!! Sorry, my name is Kai, what's yours?" Trevor was highly discontent with Kai's answer, but he knew he wouldn't be able to get kai's attention right now, so he slowly padded away to let the lovers flirt. Kai leaned forward, eager to hear her name. "I'm... um, excuse me... space please?" Um is her name?? I was hoping for a better one, oh well. Still beautiful I guess. "Sorry Um." Kai backed up and sat down. "Um is not my name!! It's Anne!" What? Phew! "Oh ok! Sorry!"

"Anne and Kai? I am going to the ancestors now, please hunt for the Kennel. Hopefully I will be back soon with a new dog." "Ok... ancestors??" Trevor just sighs and walks out of camp. "Oh..." Kai was stumped! He wished he knew how to ask the... ancestors for a friend! "Come on Kai! Let's catch some food!" "Coming lov- I mean, uh, coming Anne!" Kai paused for a moment to see if she noticed, luckily she didn't. Kai sighed and started to follow her. I wish I had the guts to tell her that she is beautiful.

Pack of Olympic Forest

Raleigh shook her head, trying to shake the strange dreams she'd been having. She knew what normal dreams were, and these weren't. But she had other matters to attend to.

Once again mounting her log, Raleigh looked over her pack. "Friends, we have two exciting events today," she announced. "Firstly,
we are here to welcome Briar, Badger, Rocky, and Mousie into the realm of adulthood. Briar, Badger, and Rocky will hunt and fight with you, so treat them well, for they are young. Mousie, who is currently aiding Rowdy in administering to Starkie, will take Rowdy's place when he grows old."

"The other thing, well, I will let Pie announce," the alpha said. It took a couple nose-jabs from Blue, but Pie was soon up on the log.

"Starkie gave birth to two girl pups," he mumbled.

"Why do you sound upset?" Raleigh hissed. "She's your mate!"

"I never wanted her!" Pie howled.

Silence fell over the clearing. Leaping from the log, Pie fled into the woods. With a grunt, Jack took after him, Freya on his heels.

"Dismissed!" Raleigh barked. She, too, entered the woods. Blue followed her.

Pebble was astonished at Pie's behavior. He went hunting with Bramble.

Billie awoke from yet another of those Full Moon dreams to hear the snarls of Red, the first sharpteeth of her small but strong group, and Ridge play fighting. She took a deep breath and dragged a rabbit towards them. "Share it.
"Aren't you going to have some?" Ridge asked, head tilted to the left.
"I'm not hungry." She said blankly, eyes clouded with exhaustion.
"You don't look so well." Red commented.
"I'm fine! I could go out and take down a full-grown kangaroo by myself if I wanted to! I could go fight off a whole pack!" Red had shrunk down to half his normal size by the time his fierce alpha had finished speaking. Ridge led her away with a low growl.
"What's wrong? Don't say everything's fine because I know it's not true."
"I just haven't had much sleep." She mumbled.
"That's no reason to scare poor Red half to death! He's half our age,
to us he's just a pup! What's interrupting your sleep?"
"I've been having a dream from my ancestors. They are telling me to go to an old junkyard when there's a full moon." She explained, annoyed that he wouldn't leave her alone but also sort of happy that he cared.
"I know nothing about that, that's strange... Well how about you stay here and guard camp? I can patrol borders and Red can hunt." Ridge suggested. Billie huffed.
"Fine... Watch out for traps. Sometimes people will drive down here and set traps. Sometimes they climb Uluru too. She shuddered. She had once lived with an old lady as a farm dog but the life wasn't for her so she had run away. To this day she still hasn't gotten the collar off.
"Go take a drink from the spring. We can watch camp until you come back." Her betas voice was soft and kind. She wagged her little stump tail before jumping out of the cave and having a good run towards the spring. She lapped at the water, scooping it up with her tongue, before returning a little slower back to camp.

Chelsea and York watched affectionately from the entrance of the nursery as their pups stumbled around the clearing for the first time. While Florence had waited until her pups were three moons old to let them leave the nursery, Chelsea and York thought it would be a good idea to get them out as soon as possible.

Sicily, the runt of the litter, clambered after Adelaide, who was the biggest pup in the litter. Adelaide squeaked and rolled over onto her back, letting her youngest and smallest littermate nuzzle into her flank. "Chelsea!" Essex shouted from this den. The large dog was soon seen ushering Eugene and Bristol out of his den. "For Ancestor's sake, keep an eye on your pups and keep them out of my den."

The young pup-mother muttered an apology as York went to retrieve the two male pups. "Don't worry about him. Essex doesn't mean to be rude." Florence said to Chelsea, settling next to her denmate as her own pups left the nursery. Chelsea nodded slightly, turning her head to watch the pups again.

Weather Report: The morning and evening air is starting to become cooler. Prey is starting to dwindle as they begin hibernating. Predators have become more common and two-legs have come to hunt the boar, watch out for traps!

OOC:In regards to the dream! It will start Monday, August 7th starting at 5pm (pacific time zone) and will end Thursday, August 10th at 5pm (pacific time zone). The reason we have it so long is because some of you might go to school/work and we want everyone to get in the gathering. Yes you can still put up clan posts and use the dogs you have at the gathering and yes you will still get replies from mods. If you have any questions pleas ask on the fanclub or shoot me or folly a PM and we will answer it right away.

However, they trust themselves, almost to a fault. In order for a tenderpaw to rank up, they must climb the mountain, swim in the lake at the top, enter a cave, fight off a wild animal[fox/racoon/cat] and claim their gem. When a dog dies, they are buried under the Great Pine, the largest tree in the territory, and their collars hung on the branch directly above them, the gem[s] swinging down over the grave.
If a dog dies without a gem, they are buried under one of the twisting roots, and a scratch is added to said root. For every scratch, there is a Pup or Tenderpaw buried there

Starkie is doing much better but still needs a lot of rest.
Pie, Jack and Freya catch two hares.
Pie didn't hear about the traps though and walks right into one of the metal claws. It closes around his leg and breaks the bone before he can free himself. He will need two rush and poppyseeds.
Raleigh and Blue's patrol pass uneventfully.
Pebble and Bramble catch a large bird.

(Lol. I honestly love the way you did that post though. Beautiful!)

Pleased with his tenerpaw's training Kodiak leads the way back to camp with Korra close behind him. "I shall speak with the ancestors and let them know how well you have done. You have trained hard and learned a lot. I feel that you are ready to move up in the ranks." the alpha says, his voice full of pride. Korra gazes up at the alpha, her eyes shinning. She was speechless, but grateful her mentor thought so highly of her.

Bear, June, and Rose sit quietly as their mentors show them how to stalk prey. After demonstrating a few times Stone, Daisy, and Thunder turn to their tenderpaws with a smile. "Alright, show us what you learned." Stone says in his deep voice.

Bear lets out a happy growl, challenging his sisters to a playful competition. "Let's see who can catch the biggest prey!" he barks. This causes June and Rose both to let out happy yips only to be hushed by their mentors. "You'll scare everything off with that yipping." Thunder warns.

"Alright, good job Eagle. Your learning quickly. Come, lets leave Bandit rest some more. We shall go herb hunting in the meantime." the shaman says, giving Bandit a small nod before padding out to the forest.

The small border patrol keeps going, not in any rush to return to camp. The three of them continue to chat and grow closer. The shepherd siblings officially adopting Brittany as their sister. This causes the female shepherd to chuckle, amused by the pair. "You guys are to kind." Brittany barks, giving each sibling a small nuzzle.

Slade leads his sister and brother in to the shaman's den where the father has been resting for a few moons. Hiding behind him with Akira and Norman. Bandit looks at his pups, surprised to see them out and about, but happy to have them there. The male opens his mouth to speak only to hear Azalea's voice. "Oh where have those pesky pups run off too..." she mumbles.

Bandit looks back at his pups, shaking his head but with a smile. "Azalea, darling the pups ran in here. Please come visit for a while. I have grown bored." He calls out. Shortly after calling out Azalea appears, her tail swishing side to side.

Annoyed with the male's flirting Charlie whips around, snapping at the air just inches away from Boss' face. "Leave me alone!" she growls. Boss chuckles, only to take a step forward. "Please sweetie, you don't scare me. You should be flattered!" he barks.

arcturus looked to rigel, remorse thick in his eyes as he lead her to where naos had been set. "he got caught in a bear trap," arcturus muttered to rigel as the dog before them whimpered in pain. rigel watched the spaniel she'd considered a friend her heart pained. "australis said naos may not be able to use his paw as well as he did before." arcturus continued. rigel nodded solemnly, knowing what his words meant. they'd have to move him down into an omega position, whether they liked it or not. rigel knew that those of the kennel before his injury would treat him with full respect and honor as a lottatore, but the same would not be promised of those yet to make their way into the kennel.

"it's what must be done," she said half-heartedly as she moved closer to the spaniel. she sat beside him, gently resting her head on top of his. naos seemed to be calmed by the beta's touch and his breathing slowed. she whispered gently to him, "you're to become an omega from here on out, but that doesn't mean you won't receive hate or backlash from any who knew you before your injury." naos moved his head ever so gently in reply to the beta's words. arcturus watching all the while, his eyes soft as he watched his first lottatore become his first omega within a matter of seconds.

true, arcturus had never been close to naos. in fact his past life had despised the dog, but this him knew that his beta loved the dog as if he were her brother. arcturus padded up closer to naos and bent down in order to look the dog in the eyes. "naos, you have served the kennel bravely for many moons. but because of your injury you're to be referred to as naos debole from now on." at hearing these words naos nodded once, his eyes watering ever so slightly.

"i understand," the brute said softly. with this, arcturus gave a brief nod before padding away leaving his mate behind to comfort the spaniel.

arcturus wandered to where he had spotted the dog whom the stars had sent to them. the dog was of larger size, towering over the other two shorter ironteeth. the dog seemed disgusted by their companions brushing off their attempts at conversation. when arcturus came close enough to hear the words of the dogs bali seemed to change his demeanor within a heartbeat. bali gave a smile, that seemed more menacing than soft and endearing. arcturus brushed off the strange actions of bali crediting it as nerves.

"naos has been demoted to omega, you three are now our only defense-" before arcturus could finish his sentence a loud chuckling noise escaped bali. arcturus watched the dog expressionless for a mere moment, daring the irontooth to challenge him. instead, bali straightened himself and looked back at arcturus with a matching stare. auva and borealis sat motionless, there tails unmoving as they watched the two dogs silently battle with one another. they knew that if a fight were to break out they'd need to fetch another companion to help tear them off of each other because they just weren't big enough or strong enough to stop the two larger dogs.

after what seemed like a life time of silence arcturus began again. "the three of you are now our only ironteeth, meaning we need to work extra hard to find more dogs and gather food before the pups arrive and the food sources decline."

auva and borealis nodded quickly before scampering off towards the woods that had debilitated naos only awhile before. australis had stalked off earlier to find more herbs in order to further their store and prepare for the incoming pups. the only dogs left standing in the camp were bali and arcturus. the two dogs continued to glare at one another, a low growl emitting from both of the dogs. neither one made an attempt to move, lest the other attack them for it. it wasn't until rigel trotted up that the stare down ended.

"i thought you two were to go hunting and on patrol with auva and borealis." rigel said as she sat. her growing stomach made it harder for her to stand for long periods of time. arcturus' face lit with joy as soon as he saw his mates protruding stomach, he felt they were to have a handful of pups running amuck in the camp within no time. bali however looked at rigel much differently than arcturus, although neither of the mates saw the way the brute looked at her and her stomach full of pups nor how he was to affect the two's future. rigel and arcturus brushed it off as if bali wasn't there and focused on one another.

"we were just on our way out my love, don't stress to much." arcturus spoke softly as he gently nuzzled the fae's stomach before trotting towards where auva and borealis had left. bali gazed at rigel for a moment longer before following after arcturus, leaving the fae alone in the middle of the camp.

Koda stirred as he felt something prodding his flank, he opened his eyes slowly, and there standing in front of him was a golden coloured dog. "Alpha, wake up." The golden coloured dog smiled.

"Thank the ancestors! I finally have hope!" Koda jumped in a start and barked in happiness. "But right now, I'll really love to have some help." He was immediately awoken.

Rocky awoke from his dream with a start, perhaps that is why he had been sleeping so terrible the last few night. Only difference now is that he remembers it. Although, this did not feel like a dream, it felt much more real then that. Iggy trotted into his den with a knowing look on her face.

"Do you trust it?" She asked him, point blank.

That was always something that he liked about her, she was a very direct dog, "Do we have a choice?"

Rocky got up and walked out of his den with Iggy, leading his kennel out for the same old thing again. He really needed to get more dogs so that things could get interesting around here.
