• before the pair leaves for training, gorsestar shares concerns with heathfang about if sunpaw will bond with her clanmates if she never patrols with them. heathfang suggests more night warriors/night training. gorsestar says she'll think about it.
• sunpaw begins her night training with heathfang
• heathfang struggles a little staying up at night to train sunpaw, but she knows it'll only get easier.

• after owlseed leaves crowcloud to his duties, brindlecloud comes to speak with her former apprentice
• brindlecloud expresses concerns for crowcloud's distant behavior lately and presses him to tell her what's wrong
• crowcloud tries to brush her off at first but eventually crumbles into a heap next to her, his sides quivering as he wept.
• crowcloud explains to brindlecloud the guilt he feels over killing the rogue that was going after owlseed a couple moons before. he knows that he did the right thing saving his mate, but he also feels bad for taking a life when his job is to save lives.
• brindlecloud comforts her former apprentice, telling him that he did what he needed to do and starclan would understand and forgive him. she makes him swear to come to her if anything is wrong again instead of handling his emotions on his own.

• petalbound and rattletail grow closer as they help each other overcome the grief of their lost ones.
• sunnyflower has become more present in her family matters, helping witheredstalk deal with losing one of her kits.
• raggedtail tries to speak to bramblingflight, wanting to rebuild their relationship. bramblingflight doesn't respond to her former mate, still wounded from how he treated her and their kits towards the end of his leadership. if this pair would reconcile, it wouldn't be today.

The clan is prepared to take out the enemy warriors. The best knights have been picked for patrols. Skirmishes start to happen regularly on the border between the two clans. Many of the enemy cats are dealt with, but not without losses on the side of Whiskered Away. Cookbook, Polly and Leafwaters fall in the fights.

There is only one thing that the clan has not predicted and not prepared for. The enemy has it’s own plans and tactics. Remembering that Whiskered stole their medicine supplies they go a step further and attempt to steal the life of the medicine cats. Bixley and Elmwing have not been trained to be fighters, don’t pose much threat to the enemy and are quickly defeated. Only thanks to Vie’s magic she’s able to protect herself and the little apprentice, Blackpaw, who accompanied them on patrol to observe and study about herbs. They return home along with Cards, but his injuries are too severe to be saved.

Vie is left alone to train the page. She avoids it as much as she can, offers to teach them black magic and tells them to just try out random herbs when healing cats until something works. Blackpaw is terrified.

It’s time for Tealeaf to give birth and there’s no medicine cat to help with it. Worried Creamsickle tells Whetley and the two make their way to the nursery where they find Blackpaw nearly in tears. They studied up on herbs, but besides that have no idea what to do. Whetley, who used to be a sylph, offers to help and teach them along with Vie.

Northstar considers losing the main healer a big hit to the clan and to her ego. She always disregarded the healers and only paid attention to the knights, but she should have provided them better protection. Luckily, in the end everything is better than she expected. Whetley now has a task and is distracted from the fighting.

Sometime is very worried about the situation in the clan. She might leave as soon as her kits are old enough to take care of themselves.

Love blooms on the battlefield between Bluesky and Jasminedragon.

Vie never talks about he feelings. She has no time for that stupid nonsense. But today is different. She lost Polly, the last remaining member of her family and then Cards, her mentor. She never showed them affection, but she loved them and they knew it, no matter how hard of a time she gave them. Blackpaw reminds her a lot of Cards. He’s very caring and hardworking. She knew she couldn’t protect everyone when they got attacked so she made sure she saved him. The little, innocent kit. For once she rambles about her feelings because sometimes even she needs to let it all out. Percival turns out to be the perfect listener by being the only one around. Vie no longer minds that he often visits to observe her at work. Perhaps she could even start to enjoy it.

Maplepaw joins the clan at a rather unfortunate time. She’s informed of the goings-on, but doesn’t seem scared and hopes to help however she can. Everyone thinks that she’s a sweet child, but she’s hiding a mischievous side. She will use the situation to her advantage.

season: leaf-fall / autumn
as summer gives way to colder weather, your clans can expect to see a decrease in prey and an increase
in danger. predators may become more desperate during this time. while the likelihood of dehydration
goes down, cats who aren't careful on patrols might face more serious risks. inside the camp, medicine
cats will find less herbs and kittings will become more difficult. cats who go out on too many patrols
will also face possible illnesses, as well.

general notes:
• i recommend noting if there are any cats that you'd prefer be skipped over in the case of death rolls/injuries

• the lightgivers has granted meteorfall's request and sent an apprentice-aged cat to join the lightwalkers.

hunting patrol results
• meteorfall's patrol caught x1 squirrel. however, meteorfall turned the patrol around towards home when they noticed that mistmask was limping heavily. though the lightwalker insisted that they were fine, that they had only scraped their pad the day before, meteorfall doesn't take no for an answer. by the time the group returns back to camp, mistmask was leaning heavily on darktempest for support. after a brief examination, sunsetstep determines that mistmask has been walking on an infected pad. but, after a thorough cleaning and x1 moon of rest, they'll be back and ready to hunt once more.

Gleamingonyx and Copperbreeze acquired the habit of taking turns visiting the nursery and playing with Ruby. After Graupel and Granite moved out to the novice's nest little Ruby became the runt of the nursery, even as a four moon old they played with the older kittens as if they were the same size.

A young cream point with folded ears was brought to the camp by some lightwalkers. They didn't remember their name, nor the life they had before arriving that place. With their curious eyes always alert to their surroundings, the few times they spoke were about the "lights" that guided them there. Meteor named them after the cat's favorite star, the lynx point felt Venus had something special about them. However, they seemed to struggle to hunt and fight, even for a novice, perhaps they were meant to have a different role within the lightwalkers, as they noticed Sunsetstep was a little overworked and needed a helping paw.

As the storm season gets closer,, the mornings bring fog swirling across the beach. And Rootpaw watched the dawn patrol leave, wading through the mist and the water. Without em. Again. This was the worst. A punishment for being hornet bait or something. Awful. Ey hated it. But eir paws still stung when the salt got too into them, and the one above eirs eye was a nasty looking thing. The worst bit, Rootpaw thought, was the looks of pity everyone gave em. Or the noise the kittens first made when they saw how ey looked. Or how every time ey even thought about leaving camp, there was Koalastorm, narrowing her eyes and blocking eir path. Ugh.

And so, ey were stuck here, given chores to do to keep him busy. Scraping out the moss from the kit trees, and getting pelted at with more moss while ey did it. Ey couldn’t even tell them off without getting a “oh, they’re just little be nice” but! They were only doing it because they knew ey didnt like it and. It was just all very unfair.

LEAF-FALL || The temperature has begun to drop, and the days grow shorter and shorter. With the disappearance of the unbearable heat, predators are more commonly slinking along the outskirts of the territory.
