you head to the lab, early morning,
to get first pick. and out of all of
the cute pokemon, one catches your
eye.

it's an adorable little cyndaquil.

Izzard walked slowly over towards the cyndaquil, careful not to frighten it. Izzard leaned down, and reached her hand towards the cyndaquil. It looks up, and nuzzles her palm.

Professor Spruce hands Izzard a poke ball, and nods towards the cynaquil. Izzard reaches out, and touches the pokeball to the awaiting Pokémon’s nose. Cyndaquil enters the pokeball, and it shakes one, two, three times, then falls still. The professor cheers, and hands izzard a bag with 12 poke-balls in it, and a belt with six circular spaces. Izzard releases her cyndaquil, puts the pokeball into her belt, and walks out into the dappled sunlight, ready to head out on her adventure to become a Pokémon master.

Izzard walks slowly down the path leading out of town and into the woods, where many different Pokémon await. Izzard and Cyndaquil walk down a little valley, leading towards a river. Izzard can see many different Pokémon swimming in the stream, and longs to catch one. Instead, she dips her toes in the river and watches Spark practice tackling a bush. Ah, she thinks, this is so relaxing. Suddenly, a huge rustle comes from the woods. Izzard jumps up, and grabs Spark, ready to defend her.

Terra jumped back slightly when the trainer all of a sudden ran up to her and Mojo almost fell off of her shoulder "Um....alright" she said still a bit dazed by his sudden appearance and couldn't help but wonder if this kid had been hiding, waiting for someone to come by so he could battle. She glanced at Mojo before looking down to Kenna's ball "I think I'll give Kenna a chance to show off her stuff" She said, mainly to herself. she nodded and sent out Kenna "Kenna use scratch!" Terra commanded and Kenna sprang into action.

kenna seemed excited to battle,
and she leapt to the opposing pokemon,
baring her shark claws, she scratched
it, and landed a critical hit.

this hit lowered its hp, to almost
nothing.

"oh goodness, your pokemon is strong,
err..bunnelby use tackle!" he ordered,
and the opposing pokemon tackled
kenna, lowering her hp a fraction.

The Nidorina hissed as grains of sand from Marigold’s Sand Attack sprayed into its eyes. As it was busy shaking itself to remove the sand, Marigold’s tail twitched eagerly and she pounced onto the unprepared opponent with Tackle. The attack did a considerable amount of damage, thanks to the Nidorina’s distraction.

The opponent cried out at the impact, before shaking the Eevee off of its back and raking its sharp claws down her underbelly in a Scratch attack. Fortunately, Nidorina’s Poison Point didn’t activate, and Marigold emerged relatively unscathed and un-poisoned.

“Vee, vee!” she cried, rolling over to get back on her feet. Marigold’s fluffy tail bushed up in her irritation.

“Great job shaking off that attack, ‘Gold!” Eva praised. Her pokémon looked pleased at the compliment. “Now, strike back with Quick Attack!”
