"dawngaze, can i speak to you?" rowanstrike walked over to the group, kneading her paws in the ground as she gazed around the camp nervously. dawngaze and reedshade looked concerned, with a nod the tom lifted himself to his paws and reedshade followed quickly. "alone." she added, sending a soft apologetic look to reedshade who seemed hurt. "of course.." reedshade sat back down, and rowanstrike led dawngaze. he opened his mouth to say something, but she was quicker. "how about a walk? i want to talk to you about something." how in starclan was she supposed to explain this? oh, i met a tom and i'm expecting his kits but i want you to cover for me. how foolish had she been. she was deputy, she had responsibilities.. and poor reedshade, now she had to keep secrets from her as well. her heart ached. when they were far enough into the forest, far enough from prying ears she sat down, looking around trying to ease her mind. the fluffy tom settled close by her, concern filling his eyes and honeying his tone. "whats wrong, rowanstrike? you can tell me anything, you know that." as of late the two had grown rather close, she even considered herself having feelings for him, perhaps even reedshade now that she thought about it.. she gained second thoughts at the worst time, what if he was just being friendly? had she misread it? "i-" she began, trembling slightly. "i'm expecting kits." her whole world seemed to shatter at that point, she began to sob as she leaned into dawngaze who looked shocked, still he whispered soothing words into her ears. "the father?" he asked, his voice now slightly shaking though he made himself sound steady. "i- he's not.." she trailed off, hoping he knew what she meant. she pulled back suddenly, "i'm deputy, and i've been so irresponsible. he'll cast me out for sure, if he knew.." dawngaze nuzzled her cheek, "he won't, i'll- i'll be the father of these kits. if you'll let me." she gazed up at him, his green gaze was firm, yet unsure. "you'd do that for me?" she whispered, "of course! i love you." he quickly responded, suddenly nervous as his eyes widened. "you don't have to say it back- it's foolish of me.." despite the circumstances, she felt a laugh bubbling inside of her. the once mighty tom was a sight to see nervous as he was. "i- i love you too, i think.. i'm not good at these things..." she trailed off, did she really love him? or was she fooling herself? either way, dawngaze seemed to believe it was genuine as he nuzzled into her. "these kits will be perfect, just like you." he whispered to her as he embraced the smaller she-cat. "so.. does this mean?" he began, his voice becoming unsure once more. "i think so- mates.." she pulled away for a second to smile at him, his gaze was full of adoration and love. "mates.." he repeated, nuzzling her once more. rowangaze shivered for a moment, her kits would be fine, and they'd grow up with a perfect father. everything would be fine.

Snow has been piling up for weeks now and the blanket that covers the ground seems to have reached some cats bellies. The days have grown darker and the wind seemed to has picked up. Mornings seem to be a tad calmer but as the morning goes on and well into the night snow storms seem to add to the layer of snow covering the ground. Finding prey has grown increasingly harder and finding cats in this storm is even harder.

As you all have may noticed CaC has its very own lineart! The lines were created by the very talented Grey_Hoodie and are being colored in by various other mods, mini mods and the CaC artists. Allowing us to use the lineart for your cats lets us give more unique patterns as we are limited to free to use pictures. If you want your cats to be transferred onto the lineart all you have to do is get in contact with a mod and the team will take care of it.

I have also noticed that a lot of you have not been adding pebbles correctly. Remember, every post you make you get four pebbles automatically. Patrols will sometimes bring back extra pebbles they find as well! Pebbles can be used here at the cac store anytime!

”We’ll try again! We haven’t checked the fir brush, so-!” Ryepaw was cut off by Quincepaw. “Stop! Ryepaw, get your head out of the clouds!” Ryepaw paused when this surprising tone arose from the usually nervous apprentice. “Quincepaw…” Ryepaw sighed reluctantly. “I… have to tell you the truth.”. This was quickly a quieter conversation, as Quincepaw drooped his tail. “I first went on a quest with you because, well, I like hanging out with you.” Ryepaw continued. “But ever since we couldn’t find a mother for Salmonkit, I felt like I was missing something.”. Ryepaw brushed his tail over Quincepaw’s back. “But, to be honest, the thing I was missing was you. But, I don’t mean it in a friend kind of way.”. Quincepaw’s whiskers twitched as Ryepaw’s eyes glared him down. “You mean… you love me?” Quincepaw squeaked. “Yes! But, I know I am a tom, but I’ve always felt like I was a she-cat, you know?” Ryepaw smiled profusely. His tail swished from side to side as he continued. “But today, I wanna ask you something more.” Ryepaw asked Quincepaw quietly. Quincepaw nodded, and Ryepaw smiled. “I wanna run away, with you by my side. We’ve never been the same here in EvergreenClan, but I wanna find a life of our own. We can be mates, adopt kits… live life our own way.”. Quincepaw fidgeted with his hands as his whiskers twitched again. “I mean, we can always come back… but let’s find our future.” Quincepaw stood up and smiled.
