Tigerpool was slow and steady as he searched through the forest for herbs, nothing in particular, but anything to replenish his stocks would be enough. His green eyes scanned the forest floor as he neared the mountains, his gaze was focused on the foliage in front of him, but he tensed when he heard pawsteps near him. "Hello?" he heard a small voice call out, he turned around to see a calico she-cat in front of him. She looked a bit afraid, but eager. Tigerpool examined the she-cat for a moment. "Yes?" he said as he stepped forward. "Who are you?" he added. The she-cat stepped back a bit, hesitantly. "My name is Spottedfur, I'm looking for a tom named Thistlestep, do you know him?" she asked. The medicine cat tilted his head at her name, she was looking for Thistlestar? She had to be from his old clan, he should probably take her to him. "I'm Tigerpool, Fjordclan's medicine cat, and if we're taking about the same cat, he's Thistlestar now." he explained as he beckoned her to follow him. "Have you traveled far?" He asked thoughtfully as they were walking, now nearing the camp. "Far, yes. I realized I was wrong too late.." she responded, nervousness evident in her voice. "How's Thistlestar?" she asked, pretending to make small talk but her voice was fragile as if she would break any moment. "He's well, though I'm sure your free to ask him yourself." Tigerpool entered the camp, finding Rowanstrike and Thistlestar talking. He glanced to Spottedfur, who had an angry glare in her eye as she stared at the two. He didn't have long to question it before Thistlestar noticed the two, he seemed to tense at the sight of the she-cat before walking over to them. "Spottedfur," he greeted as he nuzzled the she-cat gently, she returned the nuzzle, though more eagerly. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have left with Finchstar.." she apologized though the tom shook his head, "I understand, It's ok. Your welcome to stay here."

Spottedfur was more than nervous to see Thistlestar, would he be angry? Or was she just overthinking things again. When he greeted her warmly, she couldn't help but return it tenfold. She had always loved the tom, but he was too busy with his duty to his clan and mourning. Of course, she hadn't blamed him, she was jealous a bit. But she kept herself back. He began to show an interest in her a couple of moons before Finchstar had left, and she was beginning to think there could be something there. As she finished her meal she saw Thistlestar's head perk, "Spottedfur, may I see you for a minute?" The she-cat nodded as she trotted, her belly putting more weight on her. The tom beckoned her to a secluded spot apart from Rowanstrike and Tigerpool. "Your pregnant." he began, and the she-cat raised a brow with her eyes rolling. "I am." Thistlestar looked nerveous as he started again, his paws kneading the ground. "No, no- thats not what I meant-" The leader said, and Spottedfur shook her head gently as she interrupted. "You want to know if their yours." she answered for him, he nodded gently. "They are." she stated, though she looked just as nervous as he did. "Did you know when you left?" he whispered and the she-cat hung her head with a slight nod. She heard a sharp exhale and she flinched slightly. "Was I just supposed to stay here? Alone? I didn't even know if you wanted me, or them to begin with- I still don't!" she said defensively, only to be silenced by Thistlestar bringing his head on top of hers to reassure her. "I will help you raise these kits. I want them, and I want you."

Greenleaf fury has vanished from the sun's radiant heat, leaving behind only a soft warmth that is easily dispersed by ever more frequent breezes which carry with them the scent of rain. Leaves have begun to tinge with red and orange, and a few unlucky souls have kicked off the descent for which this season earns its name. Squirrels and mice skitter over the fallen few looking for seeds and nuts which they will stockpile for leafbare, ignorant to stalking forms of felines who are making preparations of their own.

Leaf-fall

Weather:

Most of the leaves have fallen over the last few weeks, even more on the rainy days. Rain has started to be more frequent as it helps cool the days. Mornings and night have become increasingly chilly. Prey is slowly become less abundant as they stay in the warmth of their dens and burrows. Finding cats on patrols will be less likely now, as they found a place to settle down for the coming leaf bare.

As you all have may noticed CaC has its very own lineart! The lines were created by the very talented Grey_Hoodie and are being colored in by various other mods, mini mods and the CaC artists. Allowing us to use the lineart for your cats lets us give more unique patterns as we are limited to free to use pictures. If you want your cats to be transferred onto the lineart all you have to do is get in contact with a mod and the team will take care of it.

I have also noticed that a lot of you have not been adding pebbles correctly. Remember, every post you make you get four pebbles automatically. Patrols will sometimes bring back extra pebbles they find as well! Pebbles can be used here at the cac store anytime!

Hunting
Patchedmask, Thundercry, Sunchaser, Ruststripe, Darkmist, and Mallardwing caught two mice.

Patrolling
Snowstorm, Brichwhisker, Riverstone, and Cinderdust, Shrewfeather, and Honeytail found a frantic queen. She explains to the patrol that her burrow was raided by a group of mean cats and that they took her three kits! (The rogues took em)

Gathering
Galalight found rush and chickweed.

Training
Frostpaw is away.
Ashpaw failed at learning anything this moon.
Hollypaw and Featherpaw learned the hunting skill.

Rogues
1) The rogues at first laugh at what the young cat said, as they believe strong cats do not need herbs. Though after a night of rest (Spottednose scared them) they come back and agree to letting you search for herbs. An escort party was made to travel with Frostpaw that had four larger cats and a smaller cat. The smaller cat looked to be as old as Frostpaw but was very jumpy and jittery. They have tattered ears and scars all over and seemed to have the name Skitter. (Like fishing bait) Frostpaw hasn't had much medicine cat training and grabbed things that looked familiar from what Galalight used during kitting, (two raspberry leaves).

2) There is commotion in the rogue's camp as they bring in four feisty kits. The patrol snickering as they introduce the younglings to the large leader, scaring the little ones into obedience. Fridgidpaw and Mountiantop got to see a slight glimpse of this happening before being found by a sentry. The alarm was sounded and the next thing the two notice was the cats surrounding them. Mountiantop launches an attack first, causing great harm to an apprentice. Fridgidpaw doesn't have to watch as he is attacked, doing rather well against the two larger cats.

3) Patchedmask took sometime to return from hunting, he wanted to see if he would be able to catch anything more before returning to camp. He was far away from his patrol as he chased a rabbit just outside the territory. Not even moments after crossing the unseen line the tom was attacked. A rather good battle took place, but it was no use as he was out numbered. Patchedmask felt a hard whack on the back of his head and fell unconscious. Just then his patrol came to his rescue and scared off the rogues that attacked him. returning Patchedmask to camp, heavily injured and unconscious. Galalight used two horsetail to stop the bleeding and hoped to stop any infection from getting to him. Patchedmask never woke up that night.

4) Frostpaw was able to keep looking but out of the corner of his eye he saw that the group was being followed by a little battered kit who seemed very proud of his leaf as the kit mimicked the apprentice. Just then a larger cat seemed to noticed and gasped, he turned and growled at the kit "What are you doing out here?"

The kit didn't even flinch at the harsh tone, being used to it, "I'm gathering these leaves too! I'm allowed to do what ever I want!" being the leader's adopted kit seemed to give him some privileges. However that didn't stop the swat he got from the large warrior.

"Go back to camp!" The large cat yowled, watched the now crying kit run back to camp. (If you go back you will find him with the nice queen)

I am really glad you are enjoying the little happenings with the rogues! There will be a reward at the end (beginning of new leaf)
Psst, also, just a hint. Try some random things! Like make an actual camp guard thing to better protect your camp. Let your kits get into some trouble? Or even your apprentices? You will never know what will happen

Though no one is safe from death! (Kinda like Fridgidpaw and Mountiantop) You can also be sending out five patrols.

Coatiheart, Thistleheart, Flamingonose, and Threepaw caught two rabbits.
Goldenpoint, Orangeray, Violinpaw, and Lynxpaw caught two voles.

Patrolling
Sweethen, Termitetongue, Valleyrunner, Twilightpaw, and Chasmpaw run into a fox while on patrol. Sweethen took the most damage and will need two cobwebs and two moons of rest. Valleyrunner has a few minor scratches but the patrol chases the fox away.
Raventalon, Juncoflight, Sopranocavern, Martenpaw, and Genetpaw find a young kittypet while on patrol.

Powers
Sweethen heard the little meows of a stubborn kit (x)(x) looking for it's family. However, after some time Sweethen took them back to camp.

Gathering
Wolfwhiskers finds borage and chamomile.

Health
Montpellierkit still has a runny nose but at least it is slowing down as he ages.
Eclairkit is now fever free, however, should still have a close eye on her.
Patisseriedew is not doing so good. She has become pretty weak and can't even groom her kits. (You have two moons/posts to find the correct herbs for her)

Boarshine gives birth to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 kits! Boarshine had some major complications that caused her to become barren. Three kits are strong and healthy, one has died shortly after birth and one is a runt.

NURSERY - DAFFODILHUNT
"Oh StarClan," Daffodilhunt breathed. "Why are there so many
lumps of fur in here?"

She had been tired of the ruckus coming from next door and
lumbered over to the nursery to yell at them, but there were
so many kits rolling around and queens trying to chase after
them that she was immediately swept back by the chaos.

The den was twice as large as the previous moon to be able
to fit all of the queens and kits, but it was jammed pack full
of cats. Where a normal den had four cats maximum, the nursery
contained seven queens and their many kits.

Daffodilhunt closed her eyes, suddenly struck by a migraine.
"Alright, I'll have some warriors dig the nursery out larger
and help you take care of the kits..."

ROGUE BORDER - BLACKWHISKER
"Halt," Blackwhisker commanded. "Someone's here." The group
stopped, then all paused to listen for the intruder, circling one
another to protect their clanmates' backs. When the pretty
ginger queen rushed at them and begged for them to take her
in, they weren't sure what to say.

"Leave them here," Azureheart offered. "They're from the rogues,
and they're already angry at us." "No," Blackwhisker decided.
"We've already taken enough rogues in that they'll be a threat
anyway." "But Blackwhisker!" Gingersun growled. "We have so
many queens and kits in the nursery at home. We can't possibly
risk ticking the rogues off now." "And you're only saying that
because you used to be a medicine cat," Azureheart added.

That struck a blow and Blackwhisker's tail lashed dangerously.
"I'm Silentstar's closest advisor and mate, the next deputy of
LostClan. I'll report you if you don't do as I say."

The wide-eyed patrol had never seen Blackwhisker so irked
and decided to take in the queen.

INFIRMARY - HAZELLEAF
Silentstar had gone in to have her kits checked, and Hazelleaf
casually brought up, "Would you be interested in having one of
your kits be a medicine apprentice?"

She simply glanced at the medicine cat blankly. "Why? Are you
interested in one of them? I always thought of them as warriors
or heirs." "Oh, of course," she soothed. "But I've taken a liking to
them. They're much brighter than the other kits." "Hmm," she said
dubiously. "Maybe." "Wasn't their father a medicine cat?" the
medicine cat urged.

Silentstar gave her a small smile. "If you're so keen to have an
apprentice, either Deathkit or Ravenkit will make a great medicine
cat." Hazelleaf was instantly embarrassed. "Oh no, I was just asking
for Whiteflurry. She's too lonely, you see." "You're right," Silentstar
said thoughtfully. She flicked her tail. "We'll see in a few moons
then."

LEADER'S DEN - SILENTSTAR
"Blackwhisker," Silentstar said, leaning forward and burying her
face into his soft fur. He gave a start of surprise. "What's the
matter?" "Our kits are so strong," she said lovingly. "They don't
need me anymore." He jolted backward. "What do you mean
they don't need you?" "Don't be daft," she hissed, cuffing him
on the head. "I just mean that I can return to my leader duties,
and someone else can take care of them." "Oh," he sighed with
relief. "I'll take care of them," he offered. "Aren't Cinnamonpaw
and Dawnpaw nearly warriors? They can help," she said, her ear
flicking irritably. "They are step-siblings, after all." He was about
to reply, but she had already fallen asleep.

Blackbriar curled around her new litter. Minkblossom had just left the nursery. The medicine cat had told the new mother that four of her six kits were runts, but Blackbriar didn’t mind. She nosed them lovingly as they buried themselves into her belly. “Aren’t they adorable?” She sighed, eyes and voice full of unconditional admiration. Ravencloud and Deerleap looked at each other with broad smiles. “Yes they are, Blackbriar.” Ravencloud purred, black tail tip twitching. Deerleap nuzzled the queen. “Congratulations.” She meowed. Hazelkit’s face popped up from behind Ravencloud’s tail. She looked back at her mother with wide eyes. “Can we say hello now?” She asked hopefully. Ravencloud twitched her whiskers in amusement at her daughter’s eagerness. “Not yet, little one.” She stated “Let them rest for a bit. You can say hi later.” Deerleap looked back at her nest, where Rainkit and Ryekit were sitting. “Why don’t you five go and see what Barknose is up to. I’m sure he’d be willing to tell you a story if you ask nicely.” She suggested softly. Darkkit scoffed, appearing next to Hazelkit. “Barknose is an angry old bat. All he does is sleep.” Ravencloud flicked Darkkit with her tail. “Don’t talk about an elder like that!” She scolded. Owlkit stretched next to his sisters. “She’s not wrong. We don’t visit him much.” Ravencloud pushed her three kits out of the nest with her nose. “Why don’t you change that?” Hazelkit shrugged and left the den, motioning with her tail for Ryekit and Rainkit to follow. Darkkit muttered, but walked next to Rainkit, making sure the wobbly tom didn’t fall. Soon, the mothers were alone in the den. Blackbriar sighed. “I can’t wait to get to know them.” She meowed, moving the dark tom over so he could nurse easily. “Have you decided on names yet?” Deerleap asked eagerly “My favorite part of new kits is hearing all the lovely names!” Blackbriar tilted her head. “Yes, I think so,” She decided “Not having their father to help was rough, but I think I have it all sorted out.” The queen listed the names: Heronkit, Jaykit (after her late mate, who was a housecat), Piperkit, Mosskit, Applekit, and Archkit. Deerleap made a noise of excitement. “Those are all beautiful names! And quite unique too!” The black and white molly next to them nodded. “I must say. I’ve never heard of a cat named Archkit or Piperkit.” Blackbriar dipped her head in slight embarrassment. “A piper is a small bird that lives near water. I used to do my fair share of exploring. Archkit is named after the flowers that grew outside of Jay’s twoleg den. They’re called archangels. Beautiful golden petals...just like this little guy’s fur.” She explained. Ravencloud and Deerleap both gave a small “aw”. Deerleap looked over to Grassheart, who had remained quiet ever since she had moved into the nursery a moon or so ago. “Grassheart, do you have any idea about names for your little ones?” She asked. The heavy queen shifted uncomfortably as her round belly made it difficult. “Not really.” Grassheart shrugged “I suppose I’ll just name them when I see them.” Ravencloud smiled. “Are you excited?” She whispered joyfully. Grassheart blinked at her, the same nonchalant expression on her face. “I guess so.” She yawned. “Don’t worry,” Deerleap grinned, returning to her nest and laying down “Your kits will be wonderful. You might not realize it now, but you’ll love those little guys with all your heart.”

Sunpaw sat nervously inside the apprentices’ den. It had been a while since he exposed Ashtail’s grand scheme to overthrow Viperstar, but the leader hadn’t done anything about it. He supposed it was because of the duties he had, but then again, life had been kind of uneventful lately. The most exciting thing that had happened was the birth of Blackbriar’s kits, and Viperstar wasn’t involved with that at all. It was like the leader had read his mind, because a few seconds later, he heard a yowl from the clearing. Sunpaw leapt to his feet and hurried out of the den, closely followed by the rest of the apprentices. Confusion clouded Sunpaw’s mind as he searched around for the source of the scream. Nettlepaw was shaking and crying as she looked along the cliff wall. Soon, all of the warriors followed her gaze and saw Viperstar and Redpaw on one of the ledges. The outcrop wasn’t close to the top, but would definitely be dangerous if one of them would fall. Viperstar had the apprentice pinned underneath him and was slowly pushing him towards the edge.
Ashtail was standing in horror near the medicine den. He and Sparkpaw were helping Minkblossom rearrange herbs after the birth, but now all three were staring wide-eyed at the scene before them. From where they were standing, Ashtail couldn’t see exactly what Viperstar was doing, but he could assume the leader’s claws were at Redpaw’s throat. He could see one of the clan’s three distinct black pelts weaving through the crowd. He paused at the front, next to Nettlepaw. “Viperstar what are you doing?” Nightfur growled, fur spiked in apprehension. “He’s going to kill him!” Nettlepaw wailed. NIghtfur pulled his daughter close and whispered something in her ear, licking her forehead to soothe her. She nodded and slowly backed up into the crowd, joining the other apprentices. Viperstar snarled and spat. “You think you can overthrow me? I’m your leader! The strongest cat in the Clan!” He boomed, fury edging his voice. Nightfur lashed his tail. “What does that have to do with Redpaw? He’s just an apprentice!” Anxiety was starting to sink its claws into the tom. His son continued to wriggle beneath the leader and he let out a squeak as a cascade of rocks tumbled down due to his movements. “Shut up!” Viperstar hissed, swiping a paw across the apprentice’s face. “Viperstar-” NIghtfur warned. The leader stood up tall. “He’s part of it! All of those mangy apprentices think they know best! I’m sure all of you are in on it.” Nightfur looked incredibly confused. “WHAT are you talking about?” He yowled “C’mon Viperstar let him go!” Viperstar stood up straight, becoming calmer. That instantly sparked worry within the rest of the Clan. “You all need to realize that I will not tolerate mutiny.” He announced. Viperstar grabbed Redpaw by the scruff and tossed him over the ledge. Time seemed to slow as Redpaw twisted in the air. He plummeted down into the camp. It wasn’t long before he bashed his head against the overhang protruding from the leader’s den and crumpled on the camp floor.
Chaos enveloped BearClan. Nightfur immediately dashed to his son’s crippled body. He skidded to a halt and turned to catch Nettlepaw, who was barreling towards her brother. She howled and wailed and tried her best to push past her father. But with the help of Cougarleap and Batfur, she eventually collapsed into a sobbing mess and was guided to the medicine den. Elmstream was the next to reach the body. Nightfur was speechless and shaking. His sister tried to talk to him, but he just sat heavily down as he watched the blood trickle from his son’s head.
Everyone was so preoccupied with Redpaw that they didn’t notice Viperstar making his way down the cliff. Well, everyone except for Minkblossom. The old she-cat was filled with fury and indignance. She padded over to the leader and knocked him onto the ground, hissing and spitting at him. “What is wrong with you?” She snarled. Viperstar got to his feet and lashed at her, but the medicine cat avoided him. “You are a sick cat, Viperstar. It’s time someone put you in your place.” She snarled, lunging at him. Luckily, she caught him off surprise. The two bowled over and Minkblossom pinned him down. She raked her unsheathed claws across his chest, drawing blood. She opened her jaws to clamp down on his neck, but the stronger male used his hind legs to throw her off, sending her sliding over the camp. Heads turned to watch the fight, but most were still overwhelmed by the death of Redpaw. Minkblossom got to her paws, but Viperstar quickly reached her and smacked her back down. The less experienced medicine cat was soon twisting beneath the leader to get free. She lashed another paw out at Viperstar, slicing his cheek. He sneered and looked back at her, raising a paw and unsheathing his claws. The sun glinted off of them and Minkblossom’s eyes grew wide. “Say hi to StarClan.” Viperstar growled. He hacked his paw down, piercing the she-cat’s throat. She gargled and convulsed, trying to remove his claws from her neck. But it was no use. Viperstar stepped away from her and she twitched another time, then laid still. Minkblossom was dead. Ashtail was filled with fear and confusion, but one thing was clear. He and his group had to act soon.

[To try and scare the rebellion, Viperstar kills Redpaw in front of them. When Minkblossom tries to confront him, he slashes her throat.]

Leaf-fall- Two young warriors squeal excitedly, darting after some leaves that were dancing around on the wind. A chill started to creep in on the air, chasing away the hot days of Greenleaf and quickly pulling the leaves from their branch homes. As the days become shorter and the skies change from a lively array of colors to a dead grey, the Clans will need to work hard on catching prey and stockpiling for the eventual snow fall of Leafbare.
