vultureclaw very much enjoys the chipmunk he is given and decides to chill around a little.
he's pretty mysterious and no one knows where he came from but he has good cheekbones so they don't question him too muhc
he's not too terrible of a hunter and a fighter actually.
wolverinestar is kinda like. hm. interesting genetics. will keep him in mind. she really does not want romance, but she wants to carry on her lineage. this will probably cause some family problems when her kits grow up
vultureclaw thirdwheels on lichen and sorrel's patrol. he leads it while they just vibe in the back

--Skunkfuzz introduction! They are a smiley, easygoing cat with a friendly attitude. They make friends with the whole clan, and love to crack jokes. Brookcloud and Bugcatcher get along with them instantly, glad to have a cat their age that doesn't see them as apprentices still like Brackensting does, or a cat that's too adverse to hanging out like Ivyshadow is. While Birdpaw sits back on the sidelines, taking his assessment, growing apart from his siblings, Brookcloud and Bugcatcher form a trio of tight friendship with Skunkfuzz.
--Birdpaw is worried he is going to grow apart from his siblings so soon after telling them how he felt about being behind. He begins to resent Skunkfuzz at first, avoiding hanging around his brother and sister when they are with them. During training, Chickadeesong can see that their young apprentice is preoccupied with other thoughts, and tries to confide with him about his distrust for Skunkfuzz. Chickadeesong is able to get Birdpaw to consider being friends with Skunkfuzz

“ Cloudpool’s yellow eyes glimmered in the dim light of Morningstar’s den as the medicine cat sat with the sickly leader. The orange tabby hadn’t improved since losing a life and no matter what Cloudpool did, nothing seemed to be helping. He hated seeing how weak the leader was and even worse was seeing Rowanfur. The red tabby had hardly left her mate’s side unless Silvernose and Shimmerpelt came to care for her. She was beside herself with grief and the gray and white medicine cat had the feeling that Rowanfur knew what was coming and was trying to prepare herself by staying by her mate’s side as long as possible. Morningstar had been alert enough that Harespring had been able to report how the gathering had gone but his mind hadn’t grasped the fact that Seaclan had been in trouble. All Morningstar had been able to focus on was that they’d seen Forestclan. He’d made Harespring tell him everything that Applestar had said and about Tigerjaws and Splashpaw’s meeting with Adderstream and his daughters. After, the conversation had exhausted him, and Cloudpool had pulled aside the deputy to quietly tell him that although he was trying his best, Morningstar wasn’t responding to any of the herbs he was giving him. “Is there really nothing you can do?” Harespring mewed worriedly. Cloudpool shook his head, eyes flickering sadly. “I’m going to continue to do my best to help him but I’m not sure how long he’ll be with us.” Harespring shivered, blue eyes dark and worried, but the dark gray deputy simply nodded. As Cloudpool turned his attention to Rowanfur, checking on the queen, Harespring solemnly murmured a quiet goodbye before slipping out of the den to make a beeline for his mate and kits in the nursery.

“ Frostflower paused in grooming her fur, blue eyes lighting up as a bird was gently placed on the ground in front of her.“I brought you some fresh kill,” Blueberry said, ducking his head shyly to lap at his chest fur. “You’ve been so busy today that you’ve hardly eaten.” The blue smoke murmured. “Between being on patrol and then helping Foxfang, Roseclaw, and Moonblink settle in, you’ve hardly had a moment to rest.” Frostflower purred gratefully, giving the tom a delighted look, touched by his care. “Thank you!” As Blueberry began backing off, intending to let her have her space, the lilac molly quickly stopped him, mewing, “Would you share with me?” Blueberry brightened, purring, and settled himself comfortably next to her to share their prey.

“That squirrel was a great catch earlier!” The calico tom praised, giving Oatwhisker an approving nod. The fawn warrior nodded, seeming calm but Lightningbug could see the glimmer of pride in his blue eyes. “Thanks, it wasn’t easy with Fawneyes’ letting those silly ribbons of hers flutter in the wind, scaring all the prey.” Lightningbug frowned, disapproval flickering in his gaze for a moment before he glanced over at the chocolate molly walking with one of the clan’s new recruits, Palefern. Fortunately, Fawneyes didn’t seem to have overheard Oatwhisker’s comment and Lightningbug slowed his steps to a stop, allowing the rest of their clanmates to go ahead. “What’s wrong?” Oatwhisker stared at him, seeming puzzled by Lightningbug’s response. “Why do you keep saying things like that? Do you really believe that about Fawneyes? That she isn’t a true warrior?” Lightningbug asked him Oatwhisker bristled, eyes flashing with annoyance. “Of course!” He said defensively. “She keeps those, those things in her hair as if she’s waiting to go back to her twolegs!” The fawn warrior lashed his tail, adding, “I think that’s more than clear that she’s no true warrior!” Lightningbug’s eyes widened at the fawn warrior’s quick mood switch, startled by how the tom seemed to react to his words. “Oatwhis-,” Before he could continue his sentence, Oatwhisker hissed and turned to run back to camp, glancing back over his shoulder to quickly hiss, “She shouldn’t have been allowed to join us!” Lightningbug frowned, puzzled. Oatwhisker had gotten defensive quicker than a cat could blink. “Lightningbug? Are you coming?” Palefern and Fawneyes had come back, both mollies looking as confused as he felt. “Is Oatwhisker okay? He just hurtled past us without a word.” Fawneyes asked, confused. “He’ll be fine.” Lightningbug replied, glancing at the mollies quietly. Fawneyes looked concerned, perhaps slightly worried, but both mollies fell into step beside him to head back to camp. Tail tip flicking thoughtfully, Lightningbug realized he’d have to be more careful around the fawn tom. His reactions today had shown that perhaps something was going on, that his dislike of Fawneyes may go deeper than her simply being a former kittypet. Many of their clanmates were former kittypets, Sagestar included, but Oatwhisker didn’t react to them the same way he did to Fawneyes. When the fawn warrior was calmer, Lightningbug would try the conversation again.

For some, the first snows have arrived. For others, it is simply a chill in the air. regardless, all Clans will experience Leaf-bare as a harsh and unforgiving season. Queens and kits are more likely to die during birth, prey will flee from patrols, and loners are less likely to stray from their warm city homes. In addition, predators and sicknesses abound, waiting for the chance to pick off the weak. All in all, it is best for a Clan to be at full strength during this time. - Simonpet

The older queen was quite stressed given the tragedies that have occurred during the colony's recent labors, which made the kitting process a little difficult. All three kittens were born living, but the only molly of the litter needs medical intervention as she was born sickly and one of the ginger toms drew concern from all cats present because whenever he cried - not a single sound came out. It appears that alongside one sickly kitten, one other kitten was born mute. The strongest kitten, and the third-born of the litter, came out completely healthy as he nursed with no complications almost as soon as he was born.

The young tabby couldn't see a whisker's length ahead of him and wasn't able to find shelter, leaving him vulnerable. He had no choice but to continue powering through thick blankets of snow in hopes of finding something to shield him from the dreadful winter frost. His short fur did nothing to help his rapidly dropping temperature - even if it'd long since thickened since the start of Leaf-bare - and Apricotbite was shivering so hard he struggled to walk in a straight line. His vision faded, and he unceremoniously collapsed to the ground. He was buried underneath snow as the earth claimed him, and that shallow grave kept him safe until the storm died down and his colony members finally found his body...

xx↳ Lividwind and Lilydream are discussing hunting strategies until they hear yowling. With their plans forgotten, they rush to see what's going and find an owl attempting to grab hold of Whirlflurry. Without much thought, Lividwind throws himself at the bird to protect the younger cat, at least figuring that his large size would cause the owl to buckle under his weight. As he grapples the owl, it manages to snag its talons through his flesh before finally scrambling out of his grip and flying off. Her mottled brown-and-red pelt contrasted starkly against the pure white snow, and it was no wonder that a hawk quickly spotted her as it glided through the air. Her small size must've made it think she was an easy catch as it dove for the molly and quickly seized her shoulders in its talons, scoring deep puncture wounds through her flesh. With a surprised yowl, Bonfirebreeze fought it off to the best of her ability was thanked the ancestors that her patrolmates heard her call and helped her battle the raptor off. The bird quickly realized it was defeated and flew away, but Bonfirebreeze was still shaken and losing a lot of blood. She was quickly escorted home and treated, but her wounds developed a terrible infection, one that she soon lost her life to...

↪ Disease-related | Cloudpool was reorganizing his herbal stores when it happened, a simple day of throwing out dried sprigs and tidying up anything that was out of place turned chaotic when Rowanfur entered the den in a panic. The senior queen struggled on her words at first, but finally managed to say that Morningstar was declining - and fast. Cloudpool gulped, whiskers quivering anxiously, but gave Rowanfur a somber nod before telling her to return to their leader and he'd meet her there with herbs. He turned back to his stores as soon as she left and collected a mixture of poppy seed, lavender, and chamomile. They weren't for sickness, not entirely, but to help calm a cat as they passed on from the land of the living and into the starry fields of their ancestors. As he exited, several cats who were resting in camp watched in nervous anticipation as they watched Cloudpool head from his den to his leader's. It was no secret that Morningstar was battling a strange disease lately, but no one except those closest to him knew that he was dying.

Harespring was waiting outside his leader's den, and after sharing a nod, the two toms entered together. Rowanfur's head was buried in her mate's shoulder, a shaky cry left her throat as Morningstar choked on his own breaths again. He looked bad, weakened, and above all else: tired. His hazel eyes, once brimming with life, were now dim as they glanced in Cloudpool's direction and at the herbs he held in his jaws. The medicine cat got to work making his mixture easy to swallow, not missing how Morningstar beckoned Harespring closer to him, but he couldn't catch what words leader and deputy were exchanging.

Just as he finished, Morningstar's body seized, struggling to cough before his body fell still. Harespring and Rowanfur were frozen in shock as one life left him just like that. But it wasn't over yet as his flanks started heaving for air again; Cloudpool was quick to help him ingest the mixture and to his relief the herbs seemed to work quickly. Morningstar mouthed a thank you, and signaled with his tail for he and Harespring to give him and his mate some space so he could say his goodbyes privately. And so, the two toms left the den and were met with the worried faces of many, many Clanmates.

Cloudpool faltered - unsure of what to say and Harespring looked just as lost, but there was a hint of determination in his face as he readied himself to take the reigns from his predecessor. Cloudpool felt pride swell in his chest, knowing how hard it must be for him on the inside. But before Harespring could say anything, Rowanfur exited the den with her head hung low and her tail dragging through the snow. Her demeanor said everything: Morningstar lost his final life. CaveClan said nothing, but they all bowed their heads in unity with their late leader's mate and mourned.

Elmwing hides guards the Sylph's den. Cards forced him out of the Sylph’s den since he has a lot of work and needs the space. Elm definitely isn’t in the right shape to be a warrior, but Cards believes he can recover. Right now Elm sits the whole day taped to a wall, watching the world with one frightened eye. Any kind of noise or movement makes him jump. Staying within the Sylph cart won’t help him so Cards suggest he should become a guard of the Sylphs. He would be allowed to stay with them, but will also have to start going out and getting used to experiencing the world as he is now. This moon he’s supposed to stay within the camp grounds and guard the herb supply, next moon will be his first time back on patrol.

Vie learns from Cards that poking dirty paws into wounds and broken legs can cause infections.

Vie, Chocolate and Blue’s teachings of Sion are going slow. They all have their own responsibilities and noone really knows what to do. However, some progress has been made. Vie even tried to summon a demon to test out the knowledge she got from Sionpaw, but nothing happened. The next day some weird cat joined the clan, but that’s it. Sionpaw hasn’t improved much either. He said he felt a really weird feeling for the first time. Since he’s never felt it before he couldn’t tell exactly what it meant, but he thought he might have felt a demon nearby. Weird, since there was only the new guy nearby. How curious. Or not. Who knows what this could mean.

The new guy is called Vez'gamos. Scarred and bloodies he was found by the clan borders, brought in and nursed back to health.

Big drama happens. Jasminepaw, the prodigy and Aristaeus’s pride, the page who passes every skill with flying colours, failed their assessment. Rumours started spreading for why this might have happened. Furious, Jasmine told her group the truth. Tulippaw, her own sister, sabotaged her test and it was only because of this that she failed. Tulip was quite proud of herself. As Rainstorm’s page, the rivalry between his and Aristaeus group affected her. Besides, she was jealous of Jasmine being the perfect one. Now she was stuck in the Sylph’s den and Tulip would be the first one to pass her assessment. She would be able to rub that in her face for the rest of their lives.

Aris has a lot on his head. His team has been doing terrible the past few moons. They’ve been finding very low amounts of food, Blazepaw, their new page has been failing every skill and now Jasmine failed her test. On top of that, it wasn’t due to her training, but team wars, which he had with Rainstorm, but the girls decided to take matters into their own hands. It was insubordination. Jasmine was supposed to be his right hand and now he wasn’t sure if he wanted her by his side at all, if she was going to be in constant conflict with other cats. Fishsticks, who was one of the best in his team left to be with her girlfriend. And that was right after Northstar told him to keep an eye on her. Things were not going great. He comes to the decision that his team needs a rest. They won team wars the past two times, but this time they’re completely out of the race with even Nightfall’s team being better than them. There is no point in pushing themselves to the limit anymore, so instead they will skip patrols this moon and work on themselves. They will sharpen their own skills and practise working as a team. Someone will be also sent to the Sylph’s den to keep company to Jasmine so that she doesn’t go crazy.

Rainstorm scolds Tulippaw. The sabotage was unnecessary, they were beating Aris’s group fair and square and her actions were stupid. Tulip barks back that he doesn’t own her and she did what was best for the group and that if he’s not willing to take risky actions to secure victory then maybe she should be the head knight once she passes her test.

Bacup spends more time with Whetley and their children. Knightfall prefers solitude. They both still mourn Sweetbee. Her and Knightfall were about to have kits of their own, now Knight is a single father of two adopted youngsters.

Fishsticks and Roadrunner have had the happiest month of their lives, spending it together and preparing for the birth of their kits. There was only one thing that still bothered Runner - Fish’s connection with other cats, specifically Woodkid and Rainstorm. She really wanted her to fix her relationship with her brother, after all, he was the only family she had left. She also scowled and tensed every time she saw Rain. If they were going to raise a family in the same clan as him, they relationship would have to improve as well. She took Fish for a walk around the forest to talk to her about those issues. She said everything that was weighing on her heart, even the fact that she suspected Fish might have killed her apprentice and caused Paw to die during the rogue group attack. She suggested Fish should make up with them and even tell Northstar what happened. The leader would understand and she could start over on a blank slate. Runner smiled encouragingly and Fish returned the smile, but her eyes seemed strange, unseeing.

Hearing all of her crimes brought before her, when she was trying so hard to push them out of her head, overwhelmed her. Fish wasn’t thinking. She felt threatened, frightened. The fear that she might never avenge her sister whom she swore to protect blinded her. In a moment of panic she agreed with her girlfriend and promised to do everything she wanted, after which she pushed Runner off a cliff. Dazed, she returned to the clan and joined the nursery to await the birth.
