totodile seemed to like the idea of
finally having some company, after
all, it was so little!

totodile wasted no time in pressing
the button on the pokeball, and immediately
the pokemon was absorbed.

there was an instant click!

congratulations, you caught level
8 totodile!

totodile has been added to the party!

Emilia's heart dropped at the sight, feeling sympathy for the beast caught under the net. She locked eyes with the pyroar, it's mane and eyes seeming... duller somehow, like he had given up.

Emilia sprinted over and, without a second thought, barreled into the grunt, which ended up with him falling over and getting a few scrapes but getting up nevertheless. Still, the distraction served it's purpose as Cinder started to gnaw at a weak point in the netting

the grunt let out a shreik of surprise,
struggling before getting up, "how dare you
interfere with my hunt!" he growls.

he fumbles around his belt, grabbing a
pokeball, "i challenge you to a battle!
it's a daring bet! so if you lose to me
he's back in my net!" he chanted.

cinder was biting at the net, using some
attacks on the fabric and slicing it a
fraction.

the pyroar helped, trying its best to get
out, before cinder heard the chant and
retreated to your side, getting into a
battle stance.

the grunt sent out sudowoodo.

"sudowoodo, use slam!" and the pokemon
barelled into cinder, lowering her
hp drastically.

Cinder yelped, wincing at the damage. "Cinder!" Emilia yelled, starting to rush towards her pokemon before remembering she couldn't in the middle of the battle. "Uh- use wing attack!" (It's an egg move, the level needed for it wasn't specified so just say if I need to redo that)

move wasn't too effective..

pyroar however got itself free of the
net, and it just witnessed its new
friend, cinder, get beat down badly
by the pokemon.

the lion-pokemon roared loudly,
almost in a defensive manner, toughing
out its limping state to run over and
use take down on the opposing pokemon.

sudowoodo immediately fainted.

cinder grew to level 11 for helping beat a
higher level pokemon.

pyroar panted, as the grunt left in a hurry,
scared, and the beautiful lion collapsed
right in front of you from exhaustion.

it had protected you and cinder.

She crawled under the bed, and came
face-to-face with the wild pokemon,
the two letting out a shreik of terror
before scrambling out from under
the bed on opposite sides.

the pokemon now shaking against the
wall was a Zygarde!
