In a city not to far away roam a group of cats that
go by the name of Crossroad Demons. They are a
group of feisty and determined cats who don't back
down. Lead by Raggedstar, a tough tom-cat who
doesn't take no for an answer. He won't hesitate to
put a cat in their place. Those who break the rules
are shut away until he either calms down or decides
what to do with them. The clan also doesn't follow
normal naming ceremonies, allowing cats to use their
original name when joining. However upon becoming
leader said cat is given a name with star at the end.

The city is where the cats of Crossroads roam far and
wide, exploring the sites of the city around them.
However every cat is always on high alert, making
sure to be cautious when humans around. Besides
humans other common dangers are cars and other
cats. On the other side of the city lies an abandoned
church, a forbidden area the Crossroad Demons not
only fears, but despises. These other cats are often
refereed to as The Celestials. The Celestials are
the Crossroad Demons enemy, often causing
major headaches and pains for Raggedstar.

Crossroad Demons have taken claim to an abandoned
warehouse as their camp that's located in a large busy
city A few other stand out areas of the clan's territory
is the small field next to the factory and near by park.
The field is used to train Crossroad apprentices in skills,
such as basic battle skills, stealth, hunting, climbing,
and lastly caution. As for the park, the cats of Crossroad
Demons only visit at night when it is the most safest.
Here in the park is where Ancestor Fountain is located.

Beady green eyes watched the senior medicine cat advance closer to their hideout. Wiggling their hindquarters to get a better feel of the earth, Weaselstorm's enemy readied themselves into the perfect pounce. They unsheathed their thorn-sharp claws, digging them into the ground and scored marks into the soft, mossy soil. Their pupils narrowed into slits as the brown-and-white tom came into view and they could feel their back and tail fur puff up instinctively. Now was the time to strike and free PineClan of the old beast!

With a mighty battle cry, the attacker rushed out of hiding and pounced at Weaselstorm, who's ice-blue eyes went wide in bewilderment at the sudden assault. Daffodilkit's front paws outstretched towards the medicine cat, and a bolt of triumph filled the ginger kit until it came crashing down. Literally. Daffodilkit fell to the ground in an ungraceful heap, face planted into the floor. He let out a muffled groan, and his shame only grew when Weaselstorm tutted in annoyance.

Daffodilkit got up to his paws and glared at Weaselstorm, lashing his tiny tail like a whip. "You should've come closer!" He scolded, pinning his ears to his head for good measure. Weaselstorm, with seasons worth of experience dealing with kits, just rolled his eyes.

"Are you seriously going to blame me for that pounce?" Weaselstorm meowed, adding to the kit's ire. As Daffodilkit was about to argue, he shut his mouth when he saw a lean gray tabby approach Weaselstorm from behind. It was Aspenheart, his father. Daffodilkit directed his stare to the floor, though he cast a few curious looks toward Aspenheart.

"Is he giving you any trouble, Weaselstorm?" He asked.

Weaselstorm sighed, "As much trouble as you and Magpiewhisker gave me when you were kits. I suppose it runs in the family." he commented. "At any rate, I wasn't here to be made a victim from your eldest. I was here to tell Rosefur that she and the rest of the queens and kits' can stop bunking with Ashenclaw and Sheepclaw. Pikaflower finished her kitting."

"That's... good..." Aspenheart replied. Daffodilkit wondered if he could sneak away from the adults and flee into the elder's den, nestled in the warmth of his mother and brother's fur. He took a step backward, ready to make his escape, but froze in place when he saw Weaselstorm direct a stare at him.

"But since you're here now, you should be the one to go and tell Rosefur. You've been busy since she kitted, and it's nice to spend time with your mate, I figure."

Aspenheart tensed, "I-I will, Weaselstorm. See you." he stuttered. He stiffly headed inside the elder's den, seemingly ignoring his son still outside. Weaselstorm was quiet as he watched his father enter and nodded to himself once he saw him exit with the whole of the nursery in tow. Rosefur nuzzled against Aspenheart's neck, but the gray cat had his head turned away from her and didn't return it.

"Daffodilkit." Weaselstorm meowed, now looking straight at him.

"Yes, Weaselstorm?" He responded.

"Have a good night; stay close to your mother." He said, turning away from the ginger tom-kit and padding away to his den. Daffodilkit watched him leave, nodded, and trotted beside his twin brother as they made their way back to the nursery together.

on the edge of a bustling two-leg city is an abandoned catholic church that has been overgrown and falling apart for decades now. the clan was founded by an archangel who had been given the task of protecting cats from the darkness that had been growing in power the last few years; the crossroad demons. angels are being sent down from heaven to join the celestials, little by little, not wanting to just all come in at once and show they were a threat to their enemies. they are growing in power slowly, watching from a distance, making plans for once they are in full force. they attempt to appear to be just another regular clan of normal cats, and when they are outside of their home, interacting with other clans or loners, they act like anyone else, even going by the normal cat ranks and having alias's. the cats have the opportunity to choose what they want to look like when they come down from heaven, and there is only one rule about celestial's; the cats cannot be all black, it is a sign of the devil.

archangel (leader) - the founder of the clan, they are one of the oldest angels in heaven and was considered one of god's right-hands; they are one of the most powerful angels in existence. only 4 of them are known to exist in all of heaven.
seraphim (deputy) - only a small population of these angels existed in heaven, and they are stronger than the average angel, with more power/abilities. they are the second-in-charge of the clan, helping the archangel keep order.
rit zien (med. cat) - the healer, they have a knack for taking care of the unique injuries that angels may face. although they have healing powers, they also need the use of herbs to help keep that strength away from heaven.
grigori (med. cat apprentice) - this is a younger cat, typically between 6 and 20 moons, who is being trained to be the next rit zien of the clan. they typically have a little bit of background knowledge due to training in heaven for a bit before being sent to earth.
soldiers these angels make up the majority of the clan, as well as the cats in heaven. they defend not only the clan but also the defenseless.
messengers these are the other more common angels; they often go on trips to deliver messages between clans, often visiting heaven to gain new information. they are the ones who have to spy on the crossroad demons and bring information back to the celestials.
cheribum (apprentices) - these are the young cats who are still in training to become a messenger or a soldier of the clan. they have been sent from heaven to join the celestials as their first real mission or test of faith.
cupids (queens) - these are the mothers of the nephilim, or the adopted mothers if the blood-mothers were normal cats. they care for and raise the nephilim until they are old enough to become apprenticed to an older cat.
nephilim (kits) - these are the young ones, the kittens who are not old enough to be in training yet. some of them may be only half-angels, with only one parent being an angel and one being a regular cat.
fallen (elders) - they are not considered fallen because they are bad or have sinned, but they are fallen because they are older and slower. they are still considered wise and gone to for advice, but they typically do not go on active missions or fight, unless there is no other option.

the clan's territory consists of a small forest that borders the outskirts/edge of a nice city. the clan's main camp is located within an abandoned church. their primary meeting space is located within the churches spacious chapel. no one has specific dens really, as most of the cats sleep within the auditorium hall wherever they'd like. the only cat with their own real den is the rit zien, whose den is within the kitchen and has access through a broken window to an outdoor area, where they have an herb garden; every time they bring a new herb back to the camp, they plant a piece of it within the garden. the place where the cats go to connect with those in heaven, is considered the prayer space, and its an old altar. the clan's primary water source is a small stream just out the back of the church.

Greenleaf has only grown hotter as the moon grows fuller and many cats' fear has started to be recognized. The water levels of streams and lakes all across the territories have fallen, and with them a number of cats' moral. Drink is not yet scarce and neither is prey, but leaders and deputies have been meeting with their senior warriors to formulate disaster plans just in case.

"Who are you?"

Minnowstar stood across the bridge, staring at a tom who's pelt was the color of the sun. It reminded her of the stories her mother would tell Minnowstar about her mother, a cat that she hadn't gotten the chance to meet, but her mother told her of the strong, compassionate cat she was with pelt the color of fire that she was named after; Firesong. Minnowstar had always adored that name, and vowed to name her own kits that one day as a tribute to her late grandmother.

The leader came back to her senses as the tom across the bridge started talking, his voice high with excitement. "I'm Sunny! I've been living on my own for quite some time, and I've been looking for other cats for so long! I am so glad I found you and I really hope you'll let me stay here because it seems like you have some really cool dens and I really like this bridge too and I just have a feeling that you are starting a clan! Have you heard of them? I have, but only in stories; I've heard the strongest cats live in clans! I've always loved-"

"Alright! Enough. Please, stop talking and let me have a turn." Minnowstar stared in exasperation as the tom shut his mouth quickly, nearly quivering as he let Minnowstar have her turn. "I do have a clan - my mother wanted me to start one, but we never found a good place. It's just me now, but I did get my nine lives from Starclan so... I guess this is a clan." She glared at Sunny as she paused, hoping he understood that she still had more to say. "My name is Minnowstar, and I call this clan Archclan because of the bridge."

"Coooool," Sunny breathed, getting to his feet and bouncing across the stone bridge. "I'm finally going to be a warrior!" He yowled, perking his ears as he listened to the echo his voice caused around the bridge.

Minnowstar rolled her eyes in amusement, glad her first warrior was one as excited as he was. "Do you want to receive a warrior name?" She asked after a few moments, letting Sunny take in the territory. He could only manage a nod, eyes widening. "In that case, I would like Starclan to look down upon Archclan as we stand on this bridge. Warrior Sunny, do you pledge to fight for Archclan, and guard it as a home for all cats for as long as you are able?" Another nod, Sunny seemed to be holding his breath. "From this day on, you will now be known as Sunfox. Starclan, honor this warrior's enthusiasm and energy and help him serve his clan well." Minnowstar padded over to Sunfox, resting her muzzle breathly on his head.

"Welcome to Archclan."

In the days after Sunfox arrived, another couple of travelers also seemed to find their way to the bridge, much to Minnowstar's surprise. A charismatic and charming tom named Smokeflight said he came from a disbanded clan, and he wanted to find another to continue with clan life. The life of a loner was not for him, he said, and Minnowstar could easily see why. He thrived on other cats, needing their company, always willing to share a laugh or share a few words of wisdom. Smokeflight was easygoing and gentle, yet still brave and strong... he was exactly the kind of warrior Minnowstar had been hoping for. As the clan grew bigger, she might have to consider him for deputy. He would certainly be willing to take the role, she was sure of it.

The final warrior Minnowstar had obtained was a little more gruff around the edges, and slightly older than the others, though not by much. His name was Barley, quickly given the name Barleypelt, and he didn't say much. He did seem to genuinely like the clan, he just didn't say a lot, choosing to listen and observe. Perhaps he would grow and open up as the clan grew... at least that was what Minnowstar and Smokeflight hoped together.

The clan was growing, as was Minnowstar's heart. Everything was going to be fine. Everything was going to work out in the end, just as Slatefang had hoped it would.

ixxx▬as tulipstar rose from her den - a small cave beneath the jutting claw of a stone slab, wind-worn edges providing a safe haven from the breeze large enough for a single cat - her nose twitched as she scented the air. emerging from the tightly-woven nest of soft grass and quickly-wilting wildflower stems, the bengal molly found that her paws met icy frost, dewdrops that had begun to freeze on blades of grass overnight. that, mingling with the chilly sharpness of the breeze, warned the molly that leafbare was swiftly approaching - far too soon for comfort, considering that she had just begun her new clan a moon prior.
ixxx▬toes pricking with cold as she made her way across her territory, her tail swished a jolly arc behind her, inaudibly displaying her joyous mood. she'd dreamed of starclan last night, and had asked that they send her a caring medicine cat. she had confidence in her ancestors, in her mother, reassured by their invisible prescience in the land around her.
ixxx▬her ears pricked forwards. a white tail, there, just in front of her, held aloft as its owner rummaged in the foliage. muscles bunching together as she crouched, tulipstar crept closer, whiskers flattening against her cheeks as tall grass pressed to her face, parting silently.
ixxx▬a tomcat, by the smell of him, was delicately bundling a batch of various leaves and berries into a large leaf; he had cream-colored ears, and his jaw, from what tulipstar could see, was the same color, though the rest of him looked as white as if he'd been dipped in fresh snow.
ixxx▬eyeing the herbs and his wiry muscles, tulipstar rose to her paws. this was him, she was nearly as positive as she was of her clan.
ixxx▬"hello," she greeted him suddenly. he whirled around, sparkling blue eyes widening, though he looked more startled than frightened. "are you my medicine cat?"
ixxx▬she was a very get-to-the-point kind of cat, and this tom saw that right away.
ixxx▬"yes'm," he dipped his nose to the grassy floor. "`m hayfeather, an' i think starclan sent me to be yer medicine folk."
ixxx▬tulipstar blinked.
ixxx▬he had a very - er - noticeable accent. if he had a hat, he would have tipped it to her. (not that, of course, tulipstar knew what a hat was. and not that, of course, had he had a hat and had he tipped it to her, she would understand the gesture. and not that, of course, had he had a hat and had he tipped it to her, she wouldn't have gone running to the wind.)
ixxx▬nonplussed, tulipstar nodded. "what's your name?" she inquired, ears angled towards him. "i'm tulipstar. i'm the leader of moorclan."
ixxx▬the tom drew a tongue over the fur along his chest plate, smoothing it down as he made his own introduction. "hayfeather's the name and chasin' chickens is the game," he winked, chuckling brightly. "ah, or it was. see, my mahm was pretty good with all the medicines and stuff, see, and so she taught me an' my sister. didn't do the sis much good, see, since she ran off with a band'a rogues about a moon-er-two ago," he shrugged as if it was no big deal - what an odd tomcat, tulipstar's whiskers twitched with a small grin. "name was jus' hay, an' the sister was grain, see, we were born in the barn down thataways, jus' the two of us an' mahm, but it was alright, 'coz mahm taught us everythin' we hadta know!" hayfeather beamed brightly.
ixxx▬tulipstar's grin had blossomed.

ixxx▬hayfeather was busying himself with sorting what little herbs he'd managed to collect before joining moorclan. he had chosen his den swiftly; it was a deep section of the badger set, blocked off by a collapsed tunnel from the other dens. the entrance was shielded by low-hanging grass stalks, requiring one to push them aside to enter as if they were a curtain. the den was dry and warm, the roof soaking up the sun from above and keeping the roomy area at a cozy temperature. it was large enough for many patients, though hayfeather hoped that all of the nests he would soon construct would never be filled.
ixxx▬humming an old bedtime song that his mother had sung to him as a kit, hayfeather tucked his herbs into various nooks in the walls, created by pebbles jutting out from the hard packed walls.
ixxx▬say what you would about badgers, but they sure knew how to make sturdy dens.
ixxx▬the faint sound of voices alerted him to the return of tulipstar - and another voice, this one deep and husky, a faint murmur from hayfeather's position.
ixxx▬he stuck his head out of the grass curtain, white whiskers twitching and eyes squinty against the falling sun that cast rays of light into the camp.
ixxx▬blue eyes met amber; a flame point muzzle peeking from a disguised den, a scarred and nicked brown tabby nose that twitched as they gazed at one another across the camp.
ixxx▬"hayfeather," tulipstar greeted, her tail curling behind her, interrupting the moment. "this is peccarypelt. he has chosen to join us here in moorclan; he has a scratch along his muzzle - do you mind looking - "
ixxx▬she was interrupted.
ixxx▬"i'm fine," the tom remarked, his pelt bristling. his maw was covered in tiny, white lines, evidence of battles won from long ago. "i don't need an incompetent medicine cat to look at me."
ixxx▬tulipstar had never shown an ounce of aggression, as far as hayfeather had seen, but now - now she whirled on the tom, bowling him over with the weight of her body as she pinned the much-larger tomcat to the grassy floor.
ixxx▬"apologize," she hissed, ears pinned flat against her skull. her eyes were narrow green slits, tail lashing as hayfeather blinked widely.
ixxx▬"tulipstar!" he chastised, prancing over, his demeanor jolly and unconcerned, despite the molly who was before him, holding down a hissing tom who was obviously well-versed in fighting.
ixxx▬"a-pol-o-gize," her voice was a rumble, pelt spiking up with her hostility. she would not tolerate this tomcat insulting the very first member of her clan other than herself, especially one so talented in medicine and with such a bright, cheerful attitude even with the approaching cold.
ixxx▬peccarypelt stared at her, his eyes flicking to hayfeather, who beamed at him with massive innocence. "sorry," he finally grumbled, looking away and staring at a cloud that drifted past.
ixxx▬tulipstar released him.
ixxx▬"well, now, let's take'a look at that scratch, hmm?" with a flick of his white tail, hayfeather trotted into his den, nosing the grass out of the way and holding it open for the other feline.
ixxx▬"i'm fine," peccarypelt insisted once more. "i don't need any-"
ixxx▬"shhhhhhhh!" hayfeather interrupted, swatting the tom with his tail as he fetched a piece of cobweb from one of his herb storages. it was a superficial cut, barely there, but would likely leave another pinkish-white scar along his nose. "it won't hurt nothin' if i treat ya, so i don't see why you gotta fight tulipstar 'bout it."
ixxx▬peccarypelt huffed. "she's a - " the tone snapped hayfeather's head towards the cat, his own eyes narrowing.
ixxx▬"now, i'm gonna pretend i didn' hear you say anything, yeah?" he pressed the cobweb onto the tom's muzzle with perhaps a little too much force. "now git, you'll be fine," he ushered the tom out, the den illuminated with natural light as peccarypelt pushed his way out and then delving back into the dusty shadows as the curtain swung back into place.
