xx↳ It had been a long hunt and Inkfrost felt hunger gnawing painfully at her belly. She knew it would be a while until her patrol was ready to go home, so she asked Rae for permission to split from the hunting party to catch something for herself to eat, and that she would endeavor to catch double the amount of prey when she returned. Rae agreed, wishing the young molly good hunting before she ordered the rest of her patrol to continue. Inkfrost was eager to find something to eat as the hunger grew painful, but would quickly grow frustrated as her luck ran out and she couldn't catch anything. She didn't want to admit that maybe she was becoming too overzealous and that her impatience was costing her her prey. Finally she found something, but it was a piece of prey that had already died. It didn't seem too old, and she was so desperate to eat, so she took her chances and hastily ate the prey in quick and famished bites. It was only after she nearly finished that the bitter taste settled on her tongue and Inkfrost realized she'd eaten crowfood. Gagging, she raced back towards the patrol and told them what she had done. Rae sent her home immediately to be seen by the noldor, but by then it was too late. She spent her last few days agonizing in her nest, before succumbing to food poisoning...

Whetley tells Northstar that she’s expecting. North is disappointed that she chose the small, puny Bacup as her mate. She’s even more disappointed that she will be leaving her position as heir soon to take care of the kits when they’re born. Whetley seems overjoyed however, so North begrudgingly accepts it. She’s curious what it will feel like to be an adopted grandma. Hopefully noone ever calls her a grandma or heads will fall.

The rivalry is in full effect again. The knights are healthy and ready to show their full potential.

Fishsticks is finally free of her little crybaby brother. Since he wasn’t willing to help, she’s taking matters into her own paws. She’s still set on her plan to take revenge for Foghorn. However, one mistake has made her realize that she needs to plan better. Maybe even find some outside help… However, it might be tough with this new page following her around everywhere and Runners being all over her. Tough is the life of a cool girl.

Knightfall and Sweetbee adopt a child. That’s so awesome. They’ll now have a playmate. They’re so mature and responsible. Nothing could possibly go wrong.

Shark is feeling blue. He used to have it all. Well, almost. He’s been a deputy twice. Degraded to a knight twice. Is there anything worthwhile waiting for him in the future? Or will he forever remain a nobody?

Sionpaw notices that his mother is sad and cries when alone. He’s confused. It was her decision to find new clans for his sisters. Harren Mallister was not a cat that was used to being kept up. A hardened soldier of nearly three winters, the Hollyguard prided himself on being the most impressive of his peers. The quickest, the toughest, the most impeccable of the winter-born. It was easy to upstage the summer-coats when the North ran ice-cold through his veins. It was always a nasty shock to him to remember that despite her frozen eyes and cold exterior, the Crowstalker herself was a summer-coat by birth. She reveled in the warmer weather, stretching her face towards the pale sun to catch the morning rays. The Hollyguard found it dreadfully unbecoming for a woman of her stature, but said nothing. It was said the last cat to have questioned the Crowstalker ended up lining her nest in the dead of winter.

The Hollyguard was very fond of his pelt. It would stay on his body if he had any say in the matter.

As the Crowstalker pranced and frolicked as if there were no prey to catch in the forest, the Hollyguard drifted away from her, his sure-fire paws aiming towards more fruitful hunting grounds. There was no point in hunting so close to a summer coat when the sun was out, clearly -

A rustle drew his attention away from his commander. Small ears pricked towards the sound, the Hollyguard dropped into a crouch, whiskers twitching in excitement. Another shake to his left. A smug half-smile crept onto the tom-cat's features - this little creature was making it all too easy. Careful paws drew him closer to his target, his haunches bunched together, prepared to pounce. He readied himself for the leap, his jaws parted slightly to anticipate the killing blow and -

During the patrol, Coffeebean and Ambergaze both fell into a rose bush after

Territory

Pinyonclan makes their home at the bottom of a large canyon. Their camp is nestled against the walls of the canyon and formed from a dense, thick cluster of small trees and bushes. The clans make their dens under large sagebrush and rabbitbrush and even small hollows within the canyon walls that provide shelter but aren't quite considered caves. They do have one cave in their camp, leading to the clan's moonpool.
As dry as their territory may seem, a river flows through the heart of the canyon, fed from rivers above the canyon flowing into waterfalls.

the hairless tom is found wandering near the edge of the clan's territory, appearing a bit dazed and confused. he was protectively guarding a strange little kit with a bunch of colorful accessories on them, and at first, he wouldn't allow the patrol to approach them, clearly fearful that they would attack. thankfully, the patrol head desmodus was able to talk the hairless tom down from the ledge of his heightened emotions, and the bengal tom approached with a lowered head. the hairless tom, introducing himself as mouse, didn't seem to really understand where he was or why he was there, but explained that he found little plum when he got separated from his two-leg and was cast out onto the streets. the pair had been inseparable the last month, with mouse trying to take as best care of the kit as he could. when desmodus replied that they were a patrol of clan cats who could offer aid to the pair, mouse picked up little plum in his mouth and willingly followed the patrol back to the shenthais camp. once he was in the privacy of the meeting hall with some of the higher ranking cats, he placed plum down in front the safety of his body, curling a protective paw around the little kit. his blue eyes locked on the green eyes of the small molly who was introduced to him as the high king of shenthais.

he explained that he has had a hard life but he is looking for a place where he can have a fresh start with the kit that he has basically adopted. he gives a short version of his life story; how as a kit he was living on the streets, before a group of mean younger two-legs grabbed him and caused him harm. mouse tells the clan cats how the boys left him for dead, but that an older woman found him and rushed him in to be treated. it turned out that the woman was a veterinarian, and she was able to save his life after amputating his tail. this two-leg took him to her home for several moons while he fully recovered, and he had grown comfortable, thinking he finally found a safe place to live out his life. but the situation turned out to only be temporary; when the woman tried to bring him to a shelter, he escaped from her arms and fled, feeling horrified and betrayed. shortly after, he came across little plum all by himself on the streets, even younger than mouse had been when he had been attacked, and he felt an immediate desire to take care of the kit.

valentinestar offers the little chosen family safety in the arms of the clan, should they like to join, and both accept. mouse requests a completely new name in an attempt to forget about his past, and is renamed skrunklefoot, and plum is given the suffix -kit, becoming plumkit.
