The sun stays in the sky for longer than any portion of the year, and most creatures are active at dusk and dawn. Kittings come easier, and prey is easier to find. However, twolegs lurk in the shadows as they encroach upon the territory of the Clans. Perhaps some cats, desperate for water, linger upon your borders. In any case, this is a season which provides more happiness than sorrow.

• Balladsnuff's patrol was brought to a halt as the jarring scent of a grizzly bear flooded the area. A low snarling filled their ears, and the four cats barely had the time to turn around before the brute let out a mighty roar. Mirra and Clambite charged forward, bravely choosing to put themselves between the bear and their clanmates. With a swipe of the bear's paw, the two were sent flying and slamming into a tree trunk. Mirra felt bone break, and she will need x1 stick, x1 bindweed, and x1 moon of rest. Clambite barely regained consciousness to notice a large gash down his side. He will need x1 cobweb, x1 horsetail, and x1 moon of rest. Balladsnuff and Hemlockhide managed to carry their battered clanmates away from the bear, but they both sustained cuts and bruises from fleeing. They will both need x1 cobweb. Unable to carry out any plan to lure it away from the territory, the bear may return or it may leave on its own.

the territories are in full bloom during the hottest time of the year. prey is bountiful during
this time of the year, and herbs can be found in abundance. kittings will be handled smoothly,
and cats are still around who might be in need of a new home. however, predators are also
fond of the warm weather, and cats who overwork themselves may find themselves suffering
from dehydration and exhaustion.

A clan used to live here. The cat wasn't sure how they knew, but they could feel it. Sense it in the air, even. And now, it was almost like someone was.... whispering to them? Leading them here. Slowly, cautiously, the cat found themself staring at a puddle of water, the reflection of the moon making the water seem almost like it was... glowing? That couldn't be right, right? Curiosity was never a beast that the cat could conquer, and they found themself nose first in cold water, letting out a deep gasp as they were whisked away to talk with the ancestors of this land.

At ChaosClan's start, they lived near an abandoned Twoleg town, and what was known as 'StarClan' seemed to rule over them, telling the leaders what they could and couldn't do, until with a multitude of factors, the clan left to seek out another territory. Now, cats are filling up the land again as Twolegs also begin their retake of the area, leaving the cats scrambling for survival in the nighttime. Instead of sitting back and getting defeated individually, the cats begin to remake a clan, living in the alleys and among the shadows - TwilightClan is born anew, ChaosClan's old ancestors' eyes gleaming from their starry watchtower in the sky.

Ranks: all typical ranks, except warriors are split into two factions; the day warriors and the night warriors. The only reason for this is the aptitude some cats have - some are better at hiding from the Twolegs in the day (or better at pretending to be cute to get food offerings), and others prefer to stay in the shadows and steal. There is no other reason for the split except preference of who wants to go on patrol when.

Destruction is inevitable - at least, that's what I was always told growing up. Forgotten buildings litter this realm as only new things are sought, the old being abandoned. Perhaps that's always been a theme of life; in with the new, out with the old. If it's broken, why fix it? So much negativity, so much destruction... But what if there's more than to simply destroy? What if we could rebuild anew, use the foundation of the old, and start over...?

"Welcome to The Acatdemy," a monotone, almost bored sounding voice. That's what the overseer of the building has settled into as their welcoming style, catching the attention of whatever newcomer is next to set foot inside the abandoned school. "The Acatdemy is a place of refuge, of learning, of comradery, of peace. We do not destroy here, and we do not often leave. Are you sure you want to stay?"

The abandoned school houses a clan inside of its crumbling walls, setting up their main camp in what was once the gymnasium. The higher ranks, save for the healers, navigate their way across fallen debris to reach the overhanging observation area, now turned into dens for the higher ranking cats in the clan. On the bottom of the gym floor, nestled underneath sturdily built debris piles and insulated areas that make cozy dens, the warriors' den, apprentice's den, nursery, and healer's den sit. This is the camp, and the cats are proud of it. Gym doors are permanently closed, rusted from years of unuse, though a small gap between the doors is perfect size for the cats to get through and to protect their camp.

The classrooms of what was once the school lay out the hunting grounds for the cats. Seeing no need to venture outside most of the time, the Acatdemy cats prefer to catch what they can inside, or in the courtyards surrounded by the building. The school is large enough that the occasional predator or hostile cat or human may get in and need to be chased away.

Outside the school, where only the bravest and strongest among the clan go, lies a dystopian world destroyed by mankind and animalkind alike. Most humans have crunched themselves into cities, ignoring the outside world as best they can, save for a select few individuals who still dare to brave the outside world. An increased amount of danger awaits any cat who dares leave the school, something that is not recommended for the faint of heart, for the unknown is often the scariest part of any journey.

The ranking system of The Acatdemy is unique in a few ways.
-The Overseer: has four lives, generously deciding to have it so two scouts each get an extra life instead of having them all to themself. They are the leader, the decision maker, and the final say of any happenings.
-The Heir: often kin of the Overseer, but not required to be, the heir serves as a deputy figure and is generally many moons younger than the Overseer, as it is seen fit.
-Scouts: only two are allowed in The Acatdemy. These are the only cats allowed to go outside, the ones that risk their lives for the betterment of the clan and for knowledge. Each scout has two lives total. They often bodyguard the healers as needed, if the healers need to venture outside.
-Hunters: hold a self-explanatory role. They may venture out with a scout if they are brave enough.
-Guards: patrols the borders of the school. They may venture out with a scout if they are brave enough.
-Students: the apprentice role. No apprentice may train as a scout; they are only selected at warrior age, and nominated by the heir or overseer.
-Nursery: parents and their kits.
-Elders: the elder role. Often advisory in nature.
-Healers: medicine cats.

Joining from the disbanded Nox Invictus will be: Kiri, Snowdrop, Daffodil, Amethyst, and Daisy. Name changes undecided as of yet.

“Hey, FieryKit! Where are you going this time?” an annoyed GraniteSplash said as she picked up the kit who she had found trying to sneak away from their temporary camp, turning to bring the kit back.
“Awe, c’mon GraniteSplash!” Fierykit says “I just wanted to follow dad! He said he was going to go talk to StarClan, and I wanted to go too!”
GraniteSplash huffs, dropping FieryKit a moment later next to OxeyeAsh, the queen reaching to pull FieryKit closer “Running off again?” OxeyeAsh raises an eyebrow, adding on with amusement “how surprising.” FieryKit only sighs and settles down next to OxeyeAsh, who begins to clean off the fur that had gotten dirty while Fierykit had been sneaking away, picking out a few twigs and leaves. Meanwhile, GraniteSplash had already walked a couple tail-lengths away to settle down in her own nest she shared with PumiceHeart.
“Don’t worry, FieryKit.” PumiceHeart speaks up from beside his sister “VolcanoStar will be back by the time he gets back, and then he can tell you all about his visit with Starclan!”
GraniteSplash snorts “Ha, funny. VolcanoStar isn’t allowed to speak about what StarClan says. Rules the dead cats made up, I guess” She shrugs, lowering her head and closing her eyes.
“Oh,” PumiceHeart frowns, “Well… I bet he can still tell you about his journey!” His face lights up after thinking of that. “Maybe he saw some cool stuff while he was away, or maybe he’ll come back with someone new! Or maybe-” Raising her head up again, GraniteSplash fixes him with an annoyed look while cutting him off. “Or, you could stop talking and get some sleep. It’s late.”
PumiceHeart nods, whispering a quick apology to his sister before promptly using her as a pillow, not that GraniteSplash minded. OxeyeAsh was also starting to drift off, leaving FieryKit awake. The youngest making an attempt to remain awake until VolcanoStars return, though it wasn’t long before she drifted to sleep, Leaving VolcanoStar to return to his clan sleeping peacefully.

the clan consults with the gods and decides to move along from the island of sinnoh where they've been residing for the last year, as the island is relatively secluded from the rest of the world, and they feel as though the gods want them to move to the larger island nearby that contains the regions of kanto and johto. the leaders palkia and dialga inform the clan that the legendary prince and princess of the sky, latias and latios, will be directing them to a safe place and way to cross the waters between sinnoh and kanto. the clan had been residing in the southern coastal town of sunyshore city, and they found a fisherman whose boat was large enough for their clan of just under 50 cats, although it would be a pretty tight fit. latias and latios sat atop the man's boat, encouraging the fisherman through their telepathic communication to allow the cats aboard and to take them safely across the short ocean distance to the coast of kanto. the fishing boat docked in the lagoon of cerulean city after making headway through the sea inlet that approached the city.

the city itself seemed relatively small, but along the north-eastern side was a rock-wall with a cave embedded with deep magic, which latios and latias brought the clan to. they informed the cats that the legendary pokemon mewtwo once resided here, and left behind many unknowns to guard the place, but that these pokemon would not harm the cats, as they had been blessed by the gods. the prince and princess of the gods also explained that most two-legs didn't dare come into the cave, for it was still considered a dangerous space from mewtwo's time residing there. as the cats began to settle, each trying to find a place to call their own nest or den in this winding cave, there was a bright flash of light from the darkness in the back crevices of the cave, causing all of the cats to rush towards the flash to see what had happened. two massive figures were seen on either side of a space-time portal, which flashed out in a split second, and in a moment, the gods palkia and dialga, disappeared just as quickly as they arrived. and in the space where they had been standing with their portal, lay three young cats, who appeared to have tripped over one another and landed in a pile.

the clan's main leader dialga approached the trio, with his secondary leader palkia stepping up beside him to approach the three young cats. "maracactus? swinub? pinsir? is that, is that you three? what on earth happened, you've been gone for several moons now! the bengal manx molly asked as she stepped up, helping the three cats to their paws, while the rest of the clan gathered around them. the singular molly of the young trio spoke up first, shaking off her fur to try to gather her thoughts and composure before she spoke. "well, we tried to find the butterfly chateau when you all sent us off several moons ago, but we never found our fathers. when we came across the place that used to be the butterfly chateau's camp, we found it completely in ruins, and a loner that we encountered told us that the clan had fallen apart and disbanded. so then we decided we had to try and find out way back here, to pocketclan."

"we were sort of wandering aimlessly for awhile, unsure of how to get back... but all of a sudden we saw a bright portal, like the one that had sent us out of these lands and into the land of our fathers." swinub explained to the cats that had gathered around them, clearly the most level-headed of the trio. of course, karrablast couldn't go without inserting his own opinion of the matters, speaking up next. "maracactus wasn't sure about jumping back through it. she thought it could be too dangerous and kept telling us that we couldn't be sure we would even be brought back to the right place where you guys are." the molly guffed in annoyance at her brother's words, cuffing him over the ear as she spoke her own piece. "yes well, then pinsir decided to take the choice away from all of us, and pushed me into the portal before i could even finish speaking!"her brother stuck his tongue back out at her, jumping back in to finalize their story. "and i'm not sorry about it! after you went through, swinub and i followed, and here we are! we found pocketclan again; we found our mothers and our birth clan."

yamper seemed unable to contain his excitement any longer and bolted out of the group of cats towards his two littermates, although he had his teeth clamped down on the tail of his sister snorunt as he quickly dragged her along with him to greet them, only dropping her tail once he was close to the other trio. "well, we're definitely happy to have you back! we both got our new names while you were gone; i'm yamper now, and ice is snorunt." he eagerly jumped forward, nuzzling his two returning littermates, despite their wide eyes and surprised stances. snorunt moved more slowly, leaning forward to daintily press her nose to the nose of each of her littermates, a faint smile barely on her face. "it's so good to see you both again. we have much to catch you up on." the gruff form of the four young cat's mother limped forward sternly, and it seemed like the clan held its breath as she looked down at all four of her young reunited. she leaned down and placed a tender lick on the head of maracactus and then pinsir, purr rumbling deep in her throat as she murmured; "i never thought i would see all four of my kits together again. the gods have chosen to bless me with your return"

following this reconciliation, the deputy shaymin stepped forward with a bright grin, urging her son magmar towards his brother, as he grumbled along that his mother needn't push him and he was going. shaymin was quick to envelop her lost son swinub in a tight circle much like a hug, pulling his small body close, and then grabbing magmar by the scruff to pull them all together as she rubbed her head on each of theirs. her eyes shown with happiness as she spoke; "oh my boys, i have my boys back!" magmar squirmed in his mothers grasp, huffing out his complaints in a low grumble; "yes mother, yes we are, now please release me before i suffocate."

splashfall waits excitedly on the border with abyssdrop. canebeetle also joins them, pacing along the length of the border, one eye on the horizon. then, slowly, a figure approaches from the distance, and splashfall runs out to greet canyoncry, overwhelmed with joy to be reunited with his mate, as she has decided to spend her time as an elder in quickclan. abyssdrop meets them halfway, eagerly asking her mother about chasmleap and oasissight. finally, canebeetle asks about his mother, and canyoncry flashes a weary, sad smile to tell him that honeybeetle decided to move on and join their ancestors. its a bittersweet moment, as canebeetle wishes that honeybeetle might have joined quickclan as well, but he knows that she will be watching over him. the group returns to camp, where cyanstar welcomes canyoncry warmly, sharing a few jokes at splashfall's expense. knollburn goes to comfort canebeetle, who breaks down against his shoulder, mourning his mother's passing and the last chance he might have had to live alongside her again

dragonflywing returns to the tunnels to report to nolan about splashfall's mate joining quickclan as an elder. this news was entirely unexpected, but very welcome, as nolan assumes that this will mean that splashfall will also be ready to retire even sooner than they might have expected. with cyanstar also growing older every moon, they must prepare for a new leadership to take over quickclan, and dragonflywing will need to seize the opportunity before her

““Morningstar, may we speak?” Woolyfur had just assigned the day’s patrols and all but his and Morningstar’s border patrol had left. “Of course, what is it?” Morningstar had just finished grooming and as Woolyfur slipped into the den, the ginger tabby lapped once more at his paw before focusing his attention on his deputy, who looked unusually tense and serious. “Are you alright Woolyfur?” With a deep breath,Woolyfur said, “I’d like to step down from being deputy.” Morningstar’s eyes widened with faint surprise and he nodded slowly. “I was starting to think this might happen but I didn’t realize it’d be so soon.” Morningstar admitted. “You seemed worried after we rescued Echokit and Moonkit from the river.” Woolyfur nodded, unable to meet Morningstar’s gaze. “Yes. It made me realize a few things. I’ve been your deputy from the beginning, but I don’t think I can or even want to become leader.” Woolyfur explained. “Serving as Caveclan’s deputy has been an amazing experience but it’s no longer what I want. I’m sorry if I am disappointing you but I want a different future. Caveclan will need a young cat to lead them and I’d rather be standing by Silvernose’s side, supporting Caveclan by helping and advising the cat who will succeed you as Caveclan leader. Eventually, I want to join the elder’s den alongside Silvernose.” Morningstar was quiet for a few moments and when Woolyfur finally met his gaze, Morningstar didn’t seem upset, rather just thoughtful. “Who do you think may make a good future leader?” Morningstar finally asked. Woolyfur blinked, startled by the question but tilting his head thoughtfully for a few moments. “Harespring.” Woolyfur said, with a small, sure nod. “He’s a strong and loyal warrior and the others look up to him. He was a fine mentor to Thymepool and now he’s passing on his expertise to Laurelpaw. Perhaps he is a bit busy with mentoring and helping Juniperfoot raise their kits but he’d be a very good choice.” Morningstar nodded thoughtfully, considering the idea. Harespring was not particularly ambitious so he would not expect to be chosen, a quality that Morningstar believed was good in a leader. When it came to his family though, Harespring could be a little too protective but Morningstar didn’t think it would be a large problem. Despite Harespring’s protective nature, Morningstar had to admit, the tom had mellowed out since becoming a mentor for the first time and learning to listen to his clanmates’ advice. He’d become a cat the entire clan looked up to and he willingly helped out with apprentice training, even when he wasn’t assigned one officially. Morningstar nodded slowly to himself, agreeing with Woolyfur. Harespring would make a wonderful leader someday. “I’ll announce it tonight. You’ve been a good deputy Woolyfur. Having you by my side has been wonderful and I hope you’ll continue to be an amazing warrior and friend. I hope you know I am not at all disappointed and I’m proud that you brought this up to me.” Woolyfur gave a rough purr, relieved that Morningstar understood and wasn’t mad.

The Caveclan cats were gathered in the cave’s open clearing, looking up at Morningstar and Woolyfur with confusion. None of the apprentices were ready to become warriors and all of the kits were too young to be apprenticed, leading to their confusion. Why had Morningstar called this meeting? The last cat out was Sedgetail and Dappleleaf with her pair of kits, leaving Owlheart and Juniperfoot inside the den with the other kits and Shimmerpelt, who’d been a huge help to the queens. Morningstar glanced around, ensuring that most of the clan were assembled before speaking. “For moons, Woolyfur has served as our faithful, loyal deputy. Caveclan, and especially myself, have been lucky to have him but Woolyfur has decided that it is time for him to step back from his role as deputy. He will continue to be a loyal warrior of Caveclan for hopefully many moons.” Morningstar paused, listening with quiet pride as his clanmates cheered for Woolyfur. Woolyfur dipped his head in acknowledgement and leapt carefully off of the leader’s rock to join Silvernose and Thymepool sitting nearby. His mate purred, twining her tail with his as Woolyfur sat down, their attention turning back to Morningstar. “I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of Caveclan will be Harespring.” Surprise flashed in the dark gray warrior’s eyes and Harespring didn’t react for a moment or two, while cheers erupted from his clanmates. Sedgetail gazed proudly at him and next to her, Burrwhisker said, “I’m not surprised! You’ll make a great deputy!” Woolyfur was the next cat to congratulate him, his orange eyes bright and friendly. “Congratulations!” The former deputy said. “I’m excited to see how you do as our deputy. You’ll be a natural but if you need anything, I’m here. Please don’t hesitate to come to me or Morningstar with any questions.” Harespring nodded his thanks, too overwhelmed to speak as the rest of the clan came to offer their congratulations.
