New Members: A new she-cat warrior appears out of nowhere, seemingly from the sky. She states that she was a former kittypet, whose name was Brownie. Marshstar, not knowing what a Brownie is, decides to name this new member of their clan Brownleap.

Hunting: Flintstrike takes Falleaf and Hiddenhollow out to hunt.

Herb finding: Greyspot travels with Whitefrost and Greycloud to collect herbs.

Boarder Patrol: Marshstar leads Falleaf and Brownleap on a boarder patrol.

Starclan visit: Marshstar decided to ask Starclan. She wonders if there are any cats who want to join her clan, not of the age of a warrior, but instead a kit. She thinks that young Snowkit deserved to have a playmate. Plus he kept bothering Greycloud when she needs to focus on sorting herbs.

Consumption: The clan consumes one Squirrel and one Shrew.

season: leafbare / winter
snow lies in massive drifts over the territories. even the warmest areas feel the effects,
from frost killing vulnerable plants, to causing coughs to those who have experienced too
much exposure. as prey and herbs have become scarce, there will also be fewer strangers
looking to explore the vast clan territories. queens may have a harder time kitting, so
medicine cats will need to be well-stocked and prepared for the following moons.

• i recommend noting if there are any cats that you'd prefer be skipped over in the case of death rolls/injuries

• splitear's patrol caught x1 large bird. unfortunately, disaster struck when an exceptionally hungry hawk swooped in to try and steal the kill. nightspot jumped in to protect his clanmates and fought against the bird valiantly, sustaining several major wounds in the process. when the dust settled, the prey was safe, but poor nightspot was in terrible shape and passed away from blood loss later that night...
• swiftspot's patrol caught x1 vole and x1 rabbit.

border patrol results
• snowbell's patrol caught scent of a predator. after some debate, the cats determined that it was most likely the hawk that had targeted splitear's patrol earlier in the day. they can return next moon to drive the hawk away, if they so choose.
• bluestorm's patrol was uneventful.
• rosewhisper's patrol found x6 pebbles.

herb hunting results
• creamfoot and pearpaw gathered x1 marigold, x1 stick, and x1 poppy seed.

training results
• mintpaw failed to learn a skill but can try again next moon.
• lilacpaw passed and learned a skill. however, she received some minor scratches and will need x1 moon of rest to let them heal.

border patrol results
• cedarshade's patrol found an apprentice! the young cat had escaped from the rogues and, thankful to be rescued, offered x3 pebbles to tundraclan in gratitude.
indent↪ the apprentice is a "mediumhaired blue mink mackerel lynx laperm with blue eyes," colored by deimos on Grey_Hoodie's lines. here is their starting geno: Ll, Lp-, B-, Xo-, dd, A-, Mc-, cscb, ww (adult growth).
• terrabite's patrol ventured out in search of the owl nest that they had discovered the moon prior, chatting amongst themselves and sharing trivial gossip as they went. no cat could have predicted the tragedy that struck the ill-fated patrol. rather than just a single nest, the patrol came face to face with a small flock of owls that had since moved in. a whirlwind of birds shrieking and talons flashing saw every patrol member scattered and forced to fight the predatory birds one on one. when the dust settled, mr. j staggered to his feet, pelt marred with horrific deep gashes that would require x1 cobweb, x2 goldenrod, and x3 moons of rest. murkwater and otterdive leaned against one another for support, both bleeding heavily and in need of x2 horsetail and x1 moon of rest each. terrabite, caked in dust and blood, stumbled over to the edge of the clearing and let out a wail at the three bodies he found lying there. the colony of owls was gone, but it had come at a terrible, terrible price. in the evening, as the clan sat vigil for inkthrash, carrotstalk, and blackberrysnarl, patrol leader terrabite licked his wounds in the healer's den as he began his x1 moon of rest, quietly blaming himself for the loss of his clanmates...

• sapphirepaw, cinderpaw, and dawnpaw failed to learn a skill but can try again next moon.
• batpaw, jasperpaw, berrypaw, and sunstonepaw passed and learned hunting. however, jasperpaw wrenched a claw in the process, earning her x1 moon of rest to avoid further injury.
• volepaw, clovepaw, stickbugpaw, and ruse passed and learned climbing.
• all of the other apprentices passed and learned their respective skills.

assessment results
• peppermintpaw, carnelianpaw, eclipsepaw, and cougarpaw passed their final assessments and are ready to be welcomed as full knights of tundraclan.
• unfortunately, blueberrypaw failed his final assessment. despite his eagerness to become a knight, blueberrypaw faltered when left alone to perform. all he could think about was how nervous he was without berrypaw at his side. though blueberrypaw was unable to pass this time, cockroachstar kindly reassured him that he could try again next moon.

Amsoniastar watched across the clearing as Agavebranch oversaw Verdinpaw as she practiced throwing her bones. The Molly was glad that they young apprentice was adjusting to their ways so quickly, as it had been completely foreign to the little one only a few weeks ago. Agavebranch had expressed concern in taking on someone so uninitiated as a medicine apprentice, but Verdinpaw had immediately been drawn to reading leaves, and throwing bones, which assured Amsoniastar that accepting the young molly was the right choice.

"Ready?" Ronquilleap chirped, sauntering up to the leader, "The sun is starting to get low so prey should be coming out soon. According to Agavebranch's readings we should head to the south today to please the spirits."

Amsoniastar stood and stretched, letting out a slight yawn before answering, "South it is then, there's a pond that was so we can look for signs along the way to see if we should fish or just hunt."

"Works for me!" Ronquilleap smiled, heading toward the southern border with Amsoniastar close behind.

Oakstar had been thinking a long while about his clan, patrols were becoming a chore to him. He was having a hard time deciding where cats should go. After a long discussion with his senior warriors, they decided that warriors are no more. The clan would be split into Hunters and Fighters. Oakstar was a generous leader, he let each cat put in their word on where they should be placed and why. As apprentices grow, he will monitor them to see where they excel.

Snowfall and Tiger had grown quite close over the passing moons. They once started as enemies but now, the two were inseparable. Even talking about having their own kits one day! Once Snowfalls current kit and soon to be kits are of age.

For some, the first snows have arrived. For others, it is simply a chill in the air. regardless, all Clans will experience Leaf-bare as a harsh and unforgiving season. Queens and kits are more likely to die during birth, prey will flee from patrols, and loners are less likely to stray from their warm city homes. After a momentary shock, Flybackpounce hopped right over to Inkbread, pushing her to her side and pressing one of his long ears to her chest. Her heart beat rapidly - a sign of the strain her body was under after all the walking - and it suddenly went still. The rit zien sighed, slowly rising to his paws to meet Pufferspike's gaze and sorrowfully told her that her mother was gone. Pufferspike's eyes watered, thanking Flybackpounce before summoning some of her close friends to help find a place to bury her.

“Thank you two for your hard work,” Rippleshade murmured his thanks to the apprentices as Spottedpaw and Mintpaw slipped out of the elders' den, leaving the den empty besides Rippleshade. He wasn’t alone for long though, as Shadedleaf and Cloudpool came in, accompanying the clan’s new elder. Rippleshade’s amber eyes focused curiously on the tom as the medicine cats helped him settle into the nest. “Fortunately, he only has a mild cold.” Shadedleaf told Rippleshade. “We’ve given him herbs but we’ll come check on you two occasionally.” Cloudpool assured the pair. The elder, who had told the clan that his name was Grey when the patrol had brought him back, eyed Rippleshade with uncertainty but seemed too tired from his journey to Caveclan’s camp to say much. “Thank you, I’m sure we’ll be fine. You two must be busy.” Rippleshade told them as Grey fell asleep, almost immediately. Rippleshade blinked at him, understanding. They’d brought him to camp from all the way at the border and though the clan’s medicine cats had learned his illness was mild, Rippleshade knew that being sick could take a toll on a cat. Rippleshade relaxed, a yawn parting his jaws. As excited as he was to meet his new denmates after having an empty den for so long, a nap sounded wonderful. As Shadedleaf and Cloudpool murmured a quiet goodbye, saying something about going herb hunting, Rippleshade fell asleep as well.

“Are you two ready for training?” Sunstripe padded up to the apprentices a few moments after they left the elders’ den, Thymepool by his side. “You two are nearly ready to become apprentices,” The brown tabby molly looked nearly as excited by the idea of the apprentices becoming warriors, as Mintpaw and Spottedpaw were. They exchanged eager looks and Spottedpaw’s tail waved hopefully in the air. “Not just yet though, we still have work to do if you are to join us as warriors!” Sunstripe told them. With a nod, Thymepool told them, “For your last training sessions, we’ll be conducting separate training sessions. Mintpaw, you and I will be working on your swimming. It’s one of the most important skills you’ll learn since we’re almost constantly around the river or the lake.” Mintpaw hesitated slightly, making a face when he thought about the cold. Swimming in leafbare!? He nodded, brightening when Spottedpaw mewed encouragement, “Ooh, that’ll be fun!
