Where's my baby amulet, oh where~! Oh where~! Am-u-let-ie~! Am-u-let-ie~!" He marched, laughing along the way. However, the laughter didn't last long as his back legs caught on some type of string and tripped him up. The lanky dog slammed right on his face. "Curses! I was getting a good tune!" He complained. Looking back at what he tripped on, however, he found a skinny key with little orange flowers attached to it. "Oh! Thingy! Sky packs must be screaming at me for tripping on my amulet!" He knew this key necklace had to be his amulet, the signs pointed to it!

Trix doesn't find anything interesting on the patrol.
Sahar, Zinc, and Aphrodite catch a mountain goat. (x5 servings)
Vixen collected rosemary and wild garlic.
Vixen found his amulet.
Nukka's wound heals up safely.
Hestia and Aput are feeling better, but Hestia is doomed with a limp due to their more severe sickness.

Season: Fall

As the fall comes to an end, a storm has approached! Cold rain pours down on the dogs. Streaks of lightning occasionally illuminate the sky. With the bad weather, dogs are restricted when going out for patrols. Make sure to only send a dog out once a post so they don't get sick.

The hunting patrol heads in the direction that the last patrol smelled the boars. The scent was faint but distinguishable. Boars definitely don't smell like any other animal. Rexx leads his party closer to the edge of their territory. Marigold warns "Rexx, if we go much further then we will have passed our borders."
The brute grunts "I know. But they can't be too much further."
Brass' ears flick. "Did you hear that? I heard a grunt."
The others listened. Sure enough, boars could be heard just to the left of the hunters. They all slowly crept closer and found a group of five boars! By Rexx's signal the hunting patrol attacks. It was difficult to separate one boar from the rest, but eventually Marigold squeezed through the pack, scattering them. Unfortunately, one of the boars rammed into her leg! "Marigold!" Lindon cried.
The dogs surrounded one boar as the others fled. Brass tried to take it down but slipped on the mud and was gored by the pig! The dogs all took turns circling it and biting it before Alaska and Basil brought it to the ground.
Panting Rexx says "Good job pack. Marigold, Brass are you two alright? Brass needs shaman care right away! We should get you back to camp.The rain looks like it's picking up also."
The dogs walk, and limp, back to camp with their prize.
[The hunting patrol brings back X1 boar.]
[Marigold twisted her paw and needs bindweed and 1 moons rest.]
[Brass was injured also and needs Marigold and something to stop the bleeding. He also needs 2 moons of rest.]
[The border patrol passes uneventful.]

Lune walked into camp clearing, but no one took notice besides her mentor, Amour. He sauntered up to her and howled in greeting, which caught the attention of the surrounding canines. Her sister, Pepper, slunk away with envy. A small pang of pity reached Lune as she realized Pepper still had way more training to do, while she, on the other paw, was already a full Shaman. And if Beetle and Valentine were still alive, Lune bet that they'd be bitter with jealously like Pepper was. "Congrats!" A chipper yet tranquil voice barked. Lune whipped around and and spotted Melody, wearing a gentle smile. Lune smiled and barked a thank you as she strolled towards the Shaman's den.

Sage anxiously staggered up towards Eloise. What is she going to say? What if she says no? His might raced with the possible replies she could say, but he forced himself to stay calm. Once he reached the golden furred female, Eloise turned her head around and met Sage's unsure gaze. "E...Eloise?" Sage laughed awkwardly, and it seemed like he had a limp on his back foot as he hopped a slight bit closer. Eloise looked flustered, but she stayed put. "Can I talk to you about something?" The blue-eyed male asked, stifling another shy laugh. A puzzled face crept onto Eloise, but she nodded politely. "Of course."

Eloise trotted behind Sage, curious of what he was meaning to ask her. At last, Sage stopped which made Eloise skid to a halt. Sage turned around to face Eloise, and he suddenly looked like he were about to fall. "I... don't know how to ask this without me dying of embarrassment, but... Eloise... will you be my mate?" He finally choked out. A heavy weight finally lifted off him, and he sighed in relief. But Eloise was taken aback by the sudden question. If you asked her several months ago, she'd swiftly decline. Sage was easily a bitter dog in general who held plenty of grudges. But he had an admirable sense of humor and was certainly protective, as well as brave. Eloise had spent enough time with Sage to reply with a soft "yes." Sage's face suddenly lit up, and he affectionately muzzled Eloise. "You are brilliant, Eloise. You could have swept any dog off their paws." Sage murmured. "But I was lucky."

Sage entered camp, Eloise next to him. He gave Eloise a swift lick on the face and Eloise walked off with a grin. Boom strode up to him and gave him a slight smile. "Finally asked her, huh?" Boom suppressed a laugh as Sage blushed. "Y...yes." He confessed. Boom chuckled. "About time." The curly furred male jokingly nudged the younger Irontooth. "How's Lily?" He asked in attempt to change the topic. Boom narrowed his eyes but followed. "She's proud of Lune, and pretty sour at Key for not training Pepper as much. But she mainly just wants their apprenticeship to be over since she's still mourning the deaths of Valentine and Beetle." Boom sighed. "I really do miss my two pups, as they had potential for sure. But death is part of life." Boom frowned, unable to hold his gaze with Sage. Silence rang between the two as they drowned in Boom's sorrow.

Vera excitedly bounded around in circles, Boom next to her telling her to calm down several times. "Oh dear, good luck kiddo." Rio gave his Tenderpaw a goofy grin, and Vera finally stopped and smiled. "I'm proud of how far you come." Rio whispered into her ear, and a twinge of pride sparked inside of her. "I'm glad I made you proud!" Vera chirped happily, wagging her tail. Rio chuckled. "When you first entered you seemed so skittish. You have definitely come out of your shell." Rio smothered a laugh as Vera winced slightly. "Don't remind me of those days." She murmured with embarrassment. Rio's face became soft with sympathy. "Don't get used to it."

The kennel eats 3 Rabbits

Koda stood at the entrance to the Irontooth den looking around at the comings and goings of the kennel. The overhang above the camp provided protection from the chilly leaf-fall wind. The tall trees surrounding the sides not protected by the cliff blocked the remaining wind from entering. Once ion a while he would feel the taunting chill of a gust of wind that had penetrated the barrier and entered the sheltered camp, but that was about it. The shorthaired dogs were noticeably more affected by the bbesidewind. Especially Rory and Frost, who hail from a desertous land, and were unfamiliar with the way it reached into your bones froze you from the inside out. Leslie did not show this however. Instead she occupied herself with glaring frostily, much like the icy wind, at anyone who would dare look at her. Ant sat beside her, looking like he was imitating his stone-hearted mentor and glaring at everyone and everything. The poor pup was becoming more and more like Leslie, always snarling at dogs who got in his way and strutting around like he owned the place. Leslie has turned the cowering pup into a viscous dog.

~Later~

The tan dog sniffed at a decaying brittle leaf. He was sure it had been a herb at one point, but then again it could have just been a stray leaf. It was hard to keep track of what was what a long with taking care of the kennel. An apprentice would be helpful, granted it would be a lot of work, but it would eventually pay off. Almond heard a scuffling of paws being him. Almond turned from his sorting of herbs to see that tan Izzy waiting at the entrance to his cave. "Do you need anything?" the shaggy dog inquired. Izzy looked up from staring shyly at the ground and asked "Can I help?"

Quincey nodded, his thick muscled neck rippled, "Yes, I took three zetas, and two iotas. Brass almost beat Alaska, but with her injury, I didn't want to pick her."

He nodded, "OK. Who did you choose then?"

"Chablis & Isak. Those two couldn't be apart honestly, connected at the hip. Tania too. She is so experienced and she has a Tau,
which bumps up her ranking."

Rexx nodded, watching Quincey think about his decision, "Then Basil. Who, in my opinion, needs to have some stability in her life &
what's better than having a troop?" Quincey paused, then continued, "I wanted to do Leizel but honestly, me and her don't get along. So I thought it best that she wasn't under my command. Alaska is my last decision."

Blue Moon Kennels - back with the same dogs

Blue Moon Kennel

Territory

Blue Moon Kennels are situated on a hilled area in the forest. There is thick foliage and plenty of animals such as deer and birds forage on the forest floor. The ground is soft and fertile, and the lower slope of the hill is covered in moss and ferns where it meets a small natural lake.

Several times per year, flowers bloom on the trees overhead, giving the area a whimsical quality.

Reputation

This Kennel is known for being determined and high-strung. They may not always be able to accomplish their goals by brute strength, but their determination will keep them trying until they collapse, giving every ounce of energy to the cause.

They are fiercely loyal and often form close bonds with one another that are even deeper than the bond to their pack, and this can make them seem clique-ish and unwelcoming. Sure enough, they tend to be distrusting of outsiders and make snap judgements, but those who pass that first assessment are usually in the clear.

These canines are used to working hard and going against obstacles - many of them have direct experience with large animals, and this gives them a keen instinct for interactions that could go in either direction.

Dogs

The dogs themselves typically contain some blue in their coloration. Often the eyes, the coat, or even the nose and paw pads may be blue. Their coats are usually heavily patterned, either merle or brindle.

Traits that are rarely seen but considered beautiful are feathering on the ears - legs - tail, tails curled over the back, and blue tongues.

Otherwise their appearance varies considerably- there are smooth furred dogs and those with shaggier coats - although none have long hair - they may have pointed or floppy ears, and their muzzled may be long and pointed or blunt and powerful.

Suggested Breeds: Catahoula Leopard Dog, Pit Bull, Siberian Husky, Border Collie, Akita, Australian Shepherd.

Blue Moon Kennels

For a long time Blue Moon Kennels had not changed. The days bled into one another until memory became unreliable and it just seemed this is how things "had always been".

Osiris directed the others and was obeyed almost unquestioningly. The only changes from this happened whenever someone got protective of Dolly.

Tension was growing between the males with Dolly being the only female, and prone to flirtation. Each thought he had a chance with her, but her brother angrily declared that she just liked others to fight over her, as she enjoyed the attention.

This caused a bigger problem than anything else, and when Osiris thought of how to solve the issue he did not even worry whether he himself would find a mate. Instead, he desperately hoped they would happen upon lone females who might decide to join the group.

Hunting patrols continued as usual, and Trance was ever-helpful, doing double-duty gathering herbs and chasing down prey. Osiris felt that deserved some special mention, but perhaps that is just the giving nature of the shamans. He hadn't known enough of them to form an opinion.

One morning Osiris decides that the time has come for change, and early before the others have awakened, he visits the ancestors to ask them for help.

in the middle of an abandoned railroad station, a pack of dogs came together as night hunters, who preferred
to wait for the sun to go down before making a move in the world. the wandering souls pack is known as a
mysterious group of dogs, who stick to their own and trust their own. in general, these dogs are secretive and
prefer to remain under such a guise. these dogs are rarely outgoing outside of their pack, and are not fond of
outsiders. however, they are not aggressive unless pushed, and are more likely to sit back and watch than they
are to get involved in a fight, let alone start one. these dogs embody the night, using darkness to their advantage
and teaching their young how to move silently as soon as they can walk. furthermore, these dogs focus on details,
and trainees are taught how to track before they can advance any further. the shaman of the wandering souls is
trusted more than the alpha, and holds the ability to override any of the alpha's decisions - the alpha may be
the "leader," but it is usually the shaman who calls the shots. as it turns out, the shaman is in charge of most
matters outside of hunting and border patrols. thus, the shaman oversees training sessions, takes charge in
diplomatic adventures with other packs, and ensures that the pack is running well along with their duty of
healing. the shaman's apprentice is chosen from when they are no more than a pup, picked by the ancestors and
recognized by the shaman. from then, they undergo many moons of training.

the train cars provide the dens for the pack, with the shaman taking their spot in the front car, the expecting
dogs in the next car, the alpha and beta next, the ancients after them, and the rest of the members in
subsequent orders according to age and rank.

another of the shaman's duties is to pair the dogs of the group together. after observing a pair for some time,
the shaman is designated to decide which dogs may mate, as the stars foretell. the pairings are said to be written
in the stars themselves, decided lifetimes ago. those who go against their pairings, or take a mate outside of
their chosen pairing, are deemed as unworthy of a pair at all. from then on, they are seen as lesser in the eyes
of the shaman, the alpha, and the ancestors and are called "forbidden." forbiddens, from then on, may only mate
with one another. depending on the situation, the forbidden's former pair may appeal to the shaman for a new
mate, but it is not for certain if destiny has allowed for it, and is up to the shaman's discretion. any pups who
come from a broken pairing are also seen as undesirable, and must prove themselves as worthy of a pair. pups
born from two forbiddens are also said to be forbidden, but they too have the opportunity to prove themselves
in a case by case basis and under specific greatness.

Lune walked into camp clearing, but no one took notice besides her mentor, Amour. He sauntered up to her and howled in greeting, which caught the attention of the surrounding canines. Her sister, Pepper, slunk away with envy. A small pang of pity reached Lune as she realized Pepper still had way more training to do, while she, on the other paw, was already a full Shaman. And if Beetle and Valentine were still alive, Lune bet that they'd be bitter with jealously like Pepper was. "Congrats!" A chipper yet tranquil voice barked. Lune whipped around and and spotted Melody, wearing a gentle smile. Lune smiled and barked a thank you as she strolled towards the Shaman's den.

Sage anxiously staggered up towards Eloise. What is she going to say? What if she says no? His might raced with the possible replies she could say, but he forced himself to stay calm. Once he reached the golden furred female, Eloise turned her head around and met Sage's unsure gaze. "E...Eloise?" Sage laughed awkwardly, and it seemed like he had a limp on his back foot as he hopped a slight bit closer. Eloise looked flustered, but she stayed put. "Can I talk to you about something?" The blue-eyed male asked, stifling another shy laugh. A puzzled face crept onto Eloise, but she nodded politely. "Of course."

Eloise trotted behind Sage, curious of what he was meaning to ask her. At last, Sage stopped which made Eloise skid to a halt. Sage turned around to face Eloise, and he suddenly looked like he were about to fall. "I... don't know how to ask this without me dying of embarrassment, but... Eloise... will you be my mate?" He finally choked out. A heavy weight finally lifted off him, and he sighed in relief. But Eloise was taken aback by the sudden question. If you asked her several months ago, she'd swiftly decline. Sage was easily a bitter dog in general who held plenty of grudges. But he had an admirable sense of humor and was certainly protective, as well as brave. Eloise had spent enough time with Sage to reply with a soft "yes." Sage's face suddenly lit up, and he affectionately muzzled Eloise. "You are brilliant, Eloise. You could have swept any dog off their paws." Sage murmured. "But I was lucky."

Sage entered camp, Eloise next to him. He gave Eloise a swift lick on the face and Eloise walked off with a grin. Boom strode up to him and gave him a slight smile. "Finally asked her, huh?" Boom suppressed a laugh as Sage blushed. "Y...yes." He confessed. Boom chuckled. "About time." The curly furred male jokingly nudged the younger Irontooth. "How's Lily?" He asked in attempt to change the topic. Boom narrowed his eyes but followed. "She's proud of Lune, and pretty sour at Key for not training Pepper as much. But she mainly just wants their apprenticeship to be over since she's still mourning the deaths of Valentine and Beetle." Boom sighed. "I really do miss my two pups, as they had potential for sure. But death is part of life." Boom frowned, unable to hold his gaze with Sage. Silence rang between the two as they drowned in Boom's sorrow.

Vera excitedly bounded around in circles, Boom next to her telling her to calm down several times. "Oh dear, good luck kiddo." Rio gave his Tenderpaw a goofy grin, and Vera finally stopped and smiled. "I'm proud of how far you come." Rio whispered into her ear, and a twinge of pride sparked inside of her. "I'm glad I made you proud!" Vera chirped happily, wagging her tail. Rio chuckled. "When you first entered you seemed so skittish. You have definitely come out of your shell." Rio smothered a laugh as Vera winced slightly. "Don't remind me of those days." She murmured with embarrassment. Rio's face became soft with sympathy. "Don't get used to it."
