Garland gathered the kennel at the old abandoned train platform for a meeting. Skadi sat next to him and the Commanders all sat off to the side. Garland didn't have to wait long for silence as the kennel was still recovering from the shocking attack and were looking for some guidance. The only missing dogs from the kennel were Willow and her pups; Garland excused her from this meeting to care for the young, fragile dogs. Garland sighed before he began. "When I founded the Ivy Scouts, I wanted to create a place where dogs could find a safe haven from the dangers of this world. If a dog was willing to work hard, they could move up in this kennel and find a happy family. I never in my life would imagine something this terrible could happen to my kennel. We have just began to grow in numbers and trust one another with our lives. I am proud at how well we were able to fight off the Rose Grass kennel. We fought like a unit and had each other's backs. Even though we were all separated, I could feel the unity of our entire kennel on that day. Everyone fought with bravery and courage and some of us were greatly wounded during those battles. Some of us fought their hardest to protect their kennel on their last day. And I thank the ancestors for them. The ancestors sent us these great warriors, loving family members, and amazing friends." Garland paused and Skadi leaned into him. Draxx hung his head low, unable to look Garland anymore. Azule touched the place beside her where Gypsy used to sit during meetings.
Garland continued. "They may not be here anymore, but they are watching us with the ancestors. I feel that it is necessary to honor their memories with a patrol. The entire kennel will join me on this patrol and we will do this in silence for our members cannot speak anymore. I'd like to address each one of our fallen members. Our first scout did a great deal for this kennel. He came to us with more knowledge than anyone here. He has trained our current healer, Aurora, and now she has the opportunity to pass his teachings to her own pupil. Chi was one of the kindest and most selfless dogs I have ever known. He offered up any and all edible herbs in his storage during the famine to try to soothe the hunger that pained our members. He gave up his portions of food so that we could survive and in doing so, sacrificed himself. I'd like to ask Natiri to come forward and receive Chi's ivy." A shocked and heartbroken Natiri slowly walked forward to take Chi's ivy. The ivy was withered and brown from being so old. She didn't think her brother would be recognized in this ceremony since he passed away so long ago.
"The second dog I'd like to honor is Candie. She was a great role model in our kennel and a perfect example of a Guardian. I had the pleasure of knowing her for a long time and she was always willing to step up to a challenge. Candie's upbeat attitude has put even her sour Commander Niko in a good mood at times. She would always offer to divvy up the rations for the kennel and made sure to give a variety of prey to each dog. Candie was truly as sweet as the human candy. Since Candie doesn't have any kin, I'd like to ask Niko to come up and receive her ivy." Niko walked up to get Candie's ivy. He handled it with care and Aurora cleaned the ivy for the occasion.
"The next dog I'd like to mention is the soft spoken Minerva. Minerva's looks were definitely deceiving. She was a great Guardian and her strength and stamina rivaled even the Commanders. I sometimes think that the council placed her in the wrong branch because when she wasn't on her patrols she was so gentle. Minerva liked looking after the pups and trainees for their mothers when the healers were too busy. She gave the whelpers a much needed break from rearing their puppies and it was a positive experience for all. She was one of the next candidates to mentor a trainee. I pray that she looks after the kennel's young with the ancestors. Again, I'd like to ask Commander Niko to receive her ivy." Niko handed Candie's ivy to Brutus and received Minerva's ivy. He couldn't help but feel like he had betrayed them. He called for the retreat and left the dogs he was commanding to die. If only he hadn't told Truskett to follow Willow back to camp, or if he tried to fight a little longer. Minerva's blood-churning screams rung in Niko's ears again, much like his nightmares lately. Brutus noticed how Niko stared far off in the distance when he sat down again. He offered to carry Candie's ivy for him. Niko didn't respond.
"Gypsy was a dog I regret to know so little about. She came to this kennel as a temporary member. It was her original plan to spend only a few moons with us. I remember her and Azule walking up to the council asking to become full members. I have never seen a pair of closer friends. Brutus can inform everyone better, but every time I saw Gypsy Azule was close by. It would have gone against the ancestors if I didn't put them in the same patrol. Gypsy fought hard for this kennel and I am honored to have her as a member. Please Azule, will you come receive Gypsy's ivy, as you two were as close as sisters." Azule made her way to the platform, feeling every eye of every dog on her. Azule held her head up and received the ivy from her alpha. It's true, her and Gypsy were inseparable until now. Azule sat back down and took a piece of Gypsy's ivy and switched it with a piece of her own. If they were going to be apart, then at least they could keep a piece of each other.
"And at last, the final scout to be honored is our beloved Stella. Stella came to this kennel in hope to find a safe place to raise her puppies. She had experienced hardship when Felix was unable to complete his assessment and had to be banished from the kennel. But she also opened her heart to a pup in need. Stark was so young and fragile when Brutus entered the kennel with him. Stella brought him into her heart and raised him to be the capable Hunter he is today. Stella took on the challenge of teaching the other mothers how to care for their pups and even assisted in Laila's whelping. She touched every dog in this kennel with her motherly smile and was always there to comfort those who needed it. Her heart was overflowing with love and I feel this kennel's grief at her loss. Draxx, I know this isn't your mother's original ivy but I'd like you come and receive Stella's ivy." Draxx slowly made his way to the platform as time slowed beside him. He looked Garland in his eyes and Garland could see their hollow expression. Draxx's mouth quivered as he took the ivy. He almost dropped it, but carried it back to his seat.
Garland spoke once Draxx was seated. "I will now lead the kennel on one last patrol through the territory. We will travel both the patrol paths and the hunting grounds. At the end of the patrol, we will cast the ivy into the river and give our fallen members one last howl as they make their final journey to the ancestors. And remember, this patrol is silent. I don't want to hear anyone disrespecting our kennelmates." Garland stood up and led the kennel through the territory. Skadi picked up the rear and everyone was in complete silence. Once at the river Garland asked those who had ivy to walk with him into the river to cast it off. As the ivy trailed down the river, the kennel howled in unison.

Dead-Eyed Angels
When a pantheon is forgotten, or replaced by a newer religion, what happens to these former gods and goddesses? Do they simply cease to exist? Or does something much more sinister take place? According to legend, they become titans - damned to walk this hellscape alone, afraid, forgotten by all of mankind.
Most tend to keep to themselves, but recently, a pack has formed - known as the Dead-Eyed Angels, they are determined to reclaim the holiness that they once called their own. And if that means appeasing the new pantheon, then so be it; they'll play along with this little game for as long as it takes to ascend once more.
But what happens when playing nice is no longer an option? Then, my friend, it is a call to arms...

I'd like to draw/use my own refs for my dogs, but I'm not sure how that would work here ^^' Would it just be through written descriptions, or...?

→ the sovereign of apollo does not starve this moon (just a side note, with the prey listed, you consumed 6 servings instead of 4! you only needed to consume x2 hares, or x1 hare and x2 small fish <3)
→ hades, sofia, arwywn, roger and caroline's patrol passes by uneventfully for the most part -- until they picked up a scent of a rogue overstepping their territory. you can choose to go after the rogue, or simply ignore their presence and allow them to linger
→ aristaeus, acllacuna, natia and lili round up two hares. during their hunt, they nearly managed to snag themselves a small fish as well, but lili mistook natia's tail for a rodent and tried sinking her teeth into it. natia nearly fell into the water she was so closely hounding, and caused all the nearby fish to flee her proximity. needless to say, they ended the patrol with one less fish and an incredibly displeased natia
→ jamyang does not encounter any disturbances while guarding the settlement
→ nimbus' herb collecting goes by rather smoothly. he returns to camp with x1 mallow and x1 juniper in his possession
→ what a bright youngling ophelia is! ophelia has successfully learned the long distance running skill

𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐆𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐒

→ renegades does not starve this moon.
→ heimdall, harley and hilda -- the three of them spend their day apprehensive about their assessments. when the time finally comes, the trio try their absolutely hardest. in the end, they all prove themselves to be extremely capable and honourable members of their kennel. congratulations, heimdall, harley and hilda have all successfully passed their assessments! their hard work and mentors' efforts have all paid of tremendously
→ alduin, remiel, velvet, valkyrie, regal, and mithos are able to track down a hare, large fish and shrew! with pride, they hoist their catches back to camp
→ cecil, muzét, aslan, and kana rally up a solid two hares to add to their prey pile
→ estellise, lorelei and sorey's (i did not include valkyrie as she already participated in a hunt!) patrol come across an unsuspecting loner of the afghan hound breed. after travelling for days on end, they wish for a place to stay, with no ulterior motive in sight. will you accept them into renegades?
→ sorey's offense training goes wonderfully! the young australian shepherd has successfully learned the offense skill
→ phoenix's birthing goes relatively well. she gives birth to one two three four five bundles of joy! unfortunately, one of them appear to have difficulties with breathing. whether this affects their upcoming life -- or even allows them to live until watcherhood -- is a question that remains unanswered. for the time being, they welcome the newly born pups into the world!
→ garr progressively heals up under the skillful paw of creed. after some time, he eventually heals up completely and is ready for kennel duties!
→ estellise's calls have been answered! a notorious comes forth with full willingness to join renegades

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀 𝐆𝐇𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐒

→ the opera ghosts do not starve this moon. they have one more post left to gather supplies for their kennel
→ during erik's patrol, he stumbles across a borzoi loner with a rather intimidating demeanour and imposing appearance. it turns out they don't mean any harm, but instead request to join the opera ghosts. will you accept their plea?
→ erik and rené successfully capture a beech marten. they carry the piece of prey back to camp, and add it to their food store
→ as it turns out, rené is a brilliant teacher. with the help of her mentor, jammes successfully learns the defense skill!

It is currently fall. The air grows cooler, and there is a hauntingly familiar chill in the breeze. The trees are a
brilliant array of reds and oranges,a new layer of leaves coating with ground with each passing day. Birds are
migrating to warmer climates, and prey of all kinds are less frequent, growing scarce.
The kennels should expect less prey, higher chance fatalities, more chances of sickness, less dogs discovered
on patrols, less herbs, more difficult birthing, more stillborns, more predators, and more human encounters.

𝐖hen the lights went dark, Aegeus brought his newest recruit out to the dock. Something about the way her beautiful fur glistened in the moonlight, made him want to curl up with her. Stars reflected off the lake and shone in both the dogs' eyes. "Your land is beautiful." She whispered. Aegeus blinked as his words caught in his throat. The gorgeous queen seemed to have knowledge even he couldn't muster, and yet, she was eager to learn everything she could. Perhaps, that would come into great use.

"The Scarred" pack's territory is a woodland, however, extends to a field around the end of the territory. Before that extend, right before the woodland ends, is a river. Ironteeth can easily swim the distance, or if they prefer not to get their paws wet, can jump across the three broad stones that are usually dry, though can get icy in winter. Pups attempting to swim the river or jump up to the stones, if they first can get out of camp, usually will drown unless rescued in time. Tenderpaws have a struggle getting onto the stones, so usually will not cross onto the field without help, as the current from the river will slam them into said stones and could snap there spine. Another landmark is a large tree around the river on the woodland side, where the pack is thinking would be useful if it fell the right way. The camp is a rough dip into the ground, the sides not smoothed from paw steps or rain yet. Bushes litter the area, as well as burrows in the ground and walls. Perfect for dens. (Hope this is an okay territory!)

The rank system is the starter rank system, though, goes in this order;
Alpha
Beta
Ironteeth
Shaman
Tenderpaw
Pups
Omega
Elder

Barely changed. Elders are kicked out once they cannot help with hunts, seeing as they are just another mouth to feed. Unless said elder is an old alpha, beta, shaman, or an alphas/betas child, they may remain in the pack and remain the 'rank' they were, though still an elder, if that makes sense! But why would dogs join if they were to be kicked out once they reach the old age? Because, they want safety, food, and shelter for the time being. They may die before reaching elder age if they didn't!

Personality ~ All personalities range! Usually, dogs are more colder and 'angry', though some are more kind and thoughtful.
