~Now~
The Merle dog sat silently watching the sun set over the looming mountains. She was pondering a question that had been going through her head four days. "Rose?" She addressed the border collie next to her. "What do you think about the Tenderpaw situation. They are your pups after all." The other Merle dog thought for a moment then spoke. "Koda just barely finished mentoring Blizzard, so I think he needs a rest from rambunctious Tenderpaws. He is also their father so he can't mentor them. That leaves us with yourself, Echo, ands Seraph since I am still recovering from the pups." Pepper was silent for a moment then said, "Normally I wouldn't chose Seraph or Echo. Seraph because he was only made an Irontooth a few moons ago. Echo because she only join last moon. But the circumstances a leave us with no choice." Pepper looked at her beta and waited for her to comment. Rose sighed, "I'd like you to mentor Xena if you will. She needs a firmer mentor than the other ones. You can decide who mentors the other pups."
By the time to two finished talking the sun had already set and the Kennel of Stars looked out from the sky. The dogs turned around and headed back to the campo with one last look at the silent world of twinkling stars.

~Later that week~
"So what do you guys do for fun around here?" Kaya curiously questioned after receiving a tour of the camp. "Well, we train a lot if that's what you're asking," Duvessa replied a little dubiously. "We are either on patrol, hunting, or training most of the time. That doesn't leave much room for goofing around and wasting time." The reddish dog looked surprised, "You call having fun 'wasting time'? Now I can see why everyone in this pack is so boring." Maverick piped in, "Sometimes we race each other through the tree or sneak up on the Ironteeth. Sometimes they get real angry though." Rory joined the conversation. "The last time he did that Leslie almost gobbled him up." Maverick glared at older Tenderpaw, angry that she would tell this almost complete stranger about that incedent. The group sat there for a minute. They're whole lives had been train, train, train. They had never really had time to do anything fun, or really even thought about it at all. Kaya spoke up, "It looks like we're going to have to create all new ways to have fun."

Garnet was walking around the camp,searching for some unique herbs to give to Basil,before she spotted a new pup.From behind,he had a black coat,which blended into a grey,then to a white.On his face,he had black freckles spread around like paint from a brush.She got the courage to prance over to the pup,smiling ''Hello!'' the mysterious brute turned around,revealing a delicate smile,he seemed mature.''I'm Garnet,are you new?'' she asked politely,the male only nodded.He seemed very noble for his age,like he knew something,Excidium chuckled and went into a play bow ''I'm Excidium'' he gave a playful bark.

Season: Fall

During fall it is important to stock up on birthing herbs like chervil and raspberry leaves for expecting mothers. The weather is cloudy and storm clouds can be seen in the distance. Keep any pups and tenderpaws inside during storms or they might catch greencough. If a dog is left untreated with greencough, it could escalate to whitecough.

"I wanna be a epsilon when i grow up!" howled Hugo, the most rambunctious of the four litter mates. His white coat shimmering in the light as he pranced around the smaller pups. Moona was the only pup who could compare in size, but she was very pacifist oriented. She preferred the subtle things in life vs. the harder, rougher side of games.

Though Hugo ran rampant through the den, his only adversary was Iliad. A small, sweet female who always seemed to put him in his place. He even listened to her more than his mother. But Atlantis never worried, she knew that the two would grow up to be close,
maybe even mates in the future. The female was glad that Hugo had a friend to rely on, and his litter mates to play with.

Moona jumped forward to gently nudge Hugo, "I wanna be a Delta! And save the day! And get assigned to my own patrol that I take care of!"

"Oh really?" Jumped out Mirabelle, the more vicious of the pups, "We already have three, we don't need anymore! You'll have to be a Kappa for the rest of your life!" Moona shook her head, and pulled away from the rude sister.

Season: Fall

It is now becoming late fall. The days are visibly colder as winter creeps in. The nights are longer and colder. Most of the leaves have fallen off the trees. The storm clouds creep closer and it has begun to drizzle. Keep an eye on the pups and tenderpaws in the upcoming months.

Tania visited the shaman's den to check up on the kennel's new tau. She entered and smiled at the pup. "How are you feeling Moolah?"
Moolah replied "I'm feeling a lot better now that Domina has covered up my injuries with cobwebs. She and the other deltas are really nice."
"Do you think you'd be up for a little lesson today?" the zeta asked.
Moolah's ears perked up and they stood suddenly. "Boy I'd love to! I can't wait to be able to contribute to our kennel. And I'll be learning from under you?! This is amazing!"
"I'd thought that it would be nice to let you run around and even get to learn something. Let me show you how to hunt."
The two dogs walked happily into the forest for their training session.
Moolah watched carefully as Tania showed the pup how to keep a low stance. She also showed them how to move their paws to avoid leaves and rocks. After a few practice rounds Moolah was finally starting to get it. Moolah had tripped over a branch and toppled over themselves. Tania ran over to the tenderpaw and saw that they were bleeding. "That's enough for now. Let's get you to the shaman's den."
At the shaman's den, Vulcan patched up Moolah's injuries. "There, all set now. You should be fine to keep on training."
"Thank you very much Delta Vulcan," Moolah smiled.
[The hunting party catches X2 pheasants.]
[The patrol sniffs out the faint scent of a boar's trail. If the kennel acts now, a hunting party with no tenderpaws may be able to catch the boars in their territory.]
[The herb hunting party finds Lungwort and Goatweed.]
[The ancestors sent a zeta.] (You can request a certain rank dog and will be able to choose the name, age, and gender. But the breed and image will be chosen by the moderator. I had tried that with my mod too. Sorry.)
[Moolah learned the hunting skill.] (I wasn't sure what gender Moolah was, so I kept it neutral.)

Rexx stood next to Marigold, his beta & most trusted adviser, "How is Lindon adjusting?" He asked.

"He's doing well," She paused, "Yeah, He and Quincey get along great so I'm glad that he made some friends."

"I'm surprised you accepted him. I would have expected you to want a stronger mate," Rexx said.

"Funny thing is, is that I'm the stronger of the two. He's good with the pack, I'm good with leading, so it works out." She said.

Rexx nodded, "Hmm, I guess it does!"

Marigold nodded, and shook her coat out, leaves brushing off of her coat, "When are you going to take a mate?"

He sighed, "I should soon honestly, I even asked the ancestors about Basil as we were getting along great, but they said no to her."

"Thank goodness for that!" Marigold laughed, "Basil is a terrible leader and terrible friend. I wouldn't want her bossing me around all day long...."

"Really" He turned toward her, "She was never like that around me..."

"She was a good actor. And she wanted to be in power," Marigold said.

"Good thing the ancestors said no then!"

"Agreed."

Season Fall/Autumn
Reports It appears to be getting even more colder than what it was before. Those with thick coats don't appear to have a problem
with this change, but thinner coated dogs are more at risk. Even though Winter is approaching, there is still time to collect herbs.
