Archaobud and two oaks. He had been thinking of some ideas. He picked one of the
Archao berries with his talons and ate it, relishing its sweet tang.
Later, to his shock, Rinveur saw Privth returning from his patrol with two owls. Both tawny fish owls, one of whom had an egg clutched in his talons.
"Rinveur," Privth rasped. "I found these two flying around near the charred maple. They say they're looking for a home" The charred maple was a maple tree tgat had presummably been struck by lightning many moonshifts before Rinveur arrived.
"Excellent! What are your names?" He asked, with a churring hoot of excitement.
"Well, my name is Tiger, and this is my mate, Ren." The male hooted.
"Hmm... Don't suppose you'd like proper Kindlefire names?" Tiger looked hesitant, but Ren piped up.
"Yes, that would be amazing." Her voice was clear and almost masculine, but still beautiful.
"Well, Tiger in
Feiraan is Hivok, so that will be your name." Rinveur addressed the male, who dipped his head.
"Ren, you are as pretty as a rose, yet as fierce as its thorns. I name you Pipa, after the rose." She grinned.
"Well, then, now that yer done, i need te speak wit' chya." Rinveur jumped. He hadn't even heard Toupimn approach.
"Yes, yes, Privth, wil you show our guests to their new homes?"
Privth merely nodded and led them inside
Nevermoore.
Once the two owls were alone, Toupimn turned to the king and said in his heavily accented hoot,
"Rinveur, we 'ave much te discuss." He murmured. Rinveur felt curiosity pricking his feathers.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean something's wrong. Something's
coming. I can feel it, and i fear we will not be strong enough to repel it." Toupimn warned, his eyes glinting darkly. Rinveur rested a wing on his friend's shoulder.
"Don't worry. We'll be careful." With that, Rinveur flew off to patrol, just close enough to hear Toupimn murmur,
"I just hope careful is enough..."
