Midnight Pod

As the sun warms the waters, the Midnight Pod begins to awaken and move about. Ripple shows his excitment for his two new members already and seems to dance about the waters he swims in. The two whales, however, seem more tired at the moment. ”Someone seems excited today” Arrow yawned as she blinked sleep from her eyes. ”Indeed I am, Arrow! Today is a wonderful day because the pod is growing!” Ripple exclaimed as he swam circles around her. It was contagious, this excitment, and soon even Phantom was smiling with them. Soon, they all decided it was time to get on with their chores.

"Cadillax," Cadd corrected. "OK, how about we go for a patrol?"

Persephone and Coventina had become rather good friends in the few weeks that they had met, Tina had explained that she was originally apart of another pod that lived a bit away, but sadly they had to split up after humans had got to her leader and deputy.

"I'm glad to be here, Persephone." The grey dolphin said thankfully, dipping her muzzle downwards in a respectful gesture for a moment.

Percy smiled, "Well, I'm glad aswell. You are the first of many dolphins that will join the pod of hurricane song." The Maui dolphin replied with a sure nod.

The pair then set off to a hunt, the warm waters pushing against them as they moved swiftly through the calm oceans, occasionally lifting themselves higher to poke their heads out of the water, looking around at the large coast of the island that they were based around.

Territory;The Sinking Suns pod reside near a sunken pirate ship located off the coast of Russia. Their home lies in and around this sunken ship. The smaller members are able to den in the ship, but the larger ones rest in a bed of seaweed.
Traditions; There us one simple tradition that all of them follow in the Sinking Suns Pod. When the members are of age they will make a solo journey to the Whispering Cave. On this journey they will learn about themselves and what it means to be part of a Pod. When they reach the cave and the ancestors see them worthy, they will receive their Dakh, or spirit-name. This is a sacred name that they only give to whales they trust with their lives. Their Dakh is a one word summary of their future. It is often very vague and can adapt if the whale goes through a great change in their lives.

The Whales; The whales of the Sinking Suns pod are often smaller. Though it is not uncommon to see a blue whale or sperm whales. The pod is very prideful and loyal to one another and will defend each other to the death. As the saying goes, if you mess with one of them, you mess with them all.
