The Owls of Vallestraya don't just fight though, they love shiny objects, as they use them to decorate their home. So when forging a peace treaty with them, keep that in mind. They also like books, though not as much as shinies. It is the job of the Matron to guard the stories in the books, and tell them to the Owlets. The Parliament DOES have some bards, but it is a secondary job, given to those who wish to take it upon themselves.

Following the glitter of a gully stream, this little Ferruginous Pygmy Owl landed in the branches of a desert tree. It knew that it was home, the glitter of the sand and the harmony between land and air was almost too much for it to handle. This would be the perfect place to make a new kingdom.

The Kingdom of Vallestraya had been founded!

Skai nodded to himself at the home he had finally finished setting up. There were places for nests anywhere any owl might desire one. But now, his work done, it was time to fly for the Aurora Glaucora. He wanted to ask Glaux for a Matron.

A young barn owl flew silently through the snow covered forest, looking from tree to tree for a good place to perch for the night. Finding a hollow in a large, snowy tree, the owl lighted down and looked around. This would be the perfect home for it's new group.

Frost flew silently through the snow covered forest, looking from tree to tree for a good place to perch for the night. Finding a hollow in a large, snowy tree, he lighted down and looked around. This would be the perfect home for their new kingdom.

Frost flew across the snow covered woods and fields gazing at their new home, amazed by all its beauty. Along the way Frost began to hunt and keep and eye out for new owls.

Skai was flying back from the Aurora Glaucora when he heard a noise not far ahead of him. He flew over to check it out and was surprised by what he found.

"Be careful with that, you feather brain!" a booming voice echoed out of the cactus hollow.

"Well, if you would hold still, then maybe I wouldn't have to be so rough with you!" a more quiet voice responded.

Skai found his matron, an Eastern Screech Owl, please choose five herbs from HERE to start off with.

Skai found a Great Horned Owl with a broken wing, you can ask it to join you are chase it off.

Moonbar greets the new owl kindly, asking what she is doing on his isle.

"My mother used tot ell me stories of a great tree in the middle of a raging sea. When she dies in the forest fire that consumed our home, I decided that I want to join those owls. That I wanted to join them. I wanted to become a great owl that could save others from the fate that i saw befall all my friends and family. There was nothing I could do to save them!" The little owl looked like she wanted to go on, but her voice was lost to her and she just broke down crying.

Moonbar knew what it was like to lose family and friends, and he knew that this owl was speaking true.

"Come, little one, lets get you home." He said as he showed her the way through the mist to the great isle.

~THE NEXT DAY~

Together, the two owls flew out from the tree, ready to take on the day.
