The current season is now Greenleaf. Prey and herbs are plentiful, but so are rogues and other threats. Illnesses are less common, but heat stroke can easily be inflicted upon cats who go on 2+ patrols.

After the first clan death and the first major fight the morale of the clan is at it’s lowest point yet. Cats are beaten and bruised both physically and mentally. There are kittens that need to be fed and the amount of healthy warriors has drastically decreased.

Whetley is happy that she took on an apprenticeship with Amber. She does not like seeing her clanmates hurt, but at least she knows a way of helping them now and doesn’t have to sit idly by. There are many that require healing and Amber is glad she has someone to support her.
Rainstorm is surprised by Whetley’s behaviour. Because of his looks cats are often scared of him and he’s used to them being apprehensive of him. However, when he needs medicine applied to him, he sees nothing but pure want and joy of helping. She’s not even grossed out by his missing eye. “Does that feel better?” she asks with a pleasant smile and Rain nods his head. It makes her radiate with happiness. “I’m glad! I need to go and help Amber, but if you need anything else, just let me know, okay? I’ll check on you later too.” Rainstorm’s gaze follows her as she leaves. What a curious young molly.

Whetley talks with Bacup. Seeing her best friend with a deep cut in his side worries her greatly. Bacup’s a little mad at her for taking care of the enemies that gave him that wound, but that’s just how Whetley is. She cares about everyone. His anger subsides a little when she tells him she will talk to Northstar about their situation. She leaves the Sylph’s den and approaches the leader. She explains that the clan they’re making is really just a small camp and they have no intention of leaving Whiskered Away or doing anything to threaten North’s position as the leader. The older molly is confused by her explanation and decides to go and see the place by herself the next day. “If those two dorks want to go frolicking in the flowers somewhere far out of my sight that’s all fine by me.” Whetley anxiously paces by her side. “They really mean nothing bad. They’re really hurt right now so please don’t do anything to hurt them even more, okay? They only want that small piece of land, nothing else.”

They are met there by Song and Bacup licking their wounds. ‘Who’s the one behind all this?“ The two toms look at each other and Bacup is ready to take the blame, but Songbird speaks up. ”I am. We are.“ Northstar sits down, looking a little bored. She takes a glance around the place. It’s really nothing special. If they wanted to steal her land, they could have at least picked a nicer location. ”And what is it exactly that you’re doing here? It came to my ears that you want to go against my leadership and are enticing cats to a revolution.“ Her glare is cold and threatening. ”That’s not exactly how it is. I don’t know who could be spreading such false rumours.“ Despite sustaining heavy damage, Song walks straight, with his usual charm and grace. ”I am not happy with some of the cats that are under your control. And I have no intent of controlling them myself, believe me, I’m more than happy having them under you supervision. However.“ He talks while pacing across the grass, speaking with a calm voice. Cats have gathered around and are listening. Besides his voice, the glade is silent. ”I want to have a place where I know I will be safe. For me, my kits and my apprentice. And any other cat that will want to join us.“ Rainstorm shakes his head. ”You’re an idiot. That’s not how clans work.“ Song glares at him, but spares him no more attention. Northstar’s expression has not changed, but is growing a little bored. ”That’s why I want to make a clan. But it will still be part of your clan. We have no desire to leave. Our friends live there. We have our lives here.“ Eyes dart from Song to North and she finally speaks. ”That’s ridiculous. I thought this stupid idea was knocked out of your head.“ She pinches the bridge of her nose. “So, let me get this straight. You’re still part of my clan and will go on regular patrols, but will stay out of my sight in this dingy hole. And in return I let you do that?” Song and Bacup look at each other sceptically. “Well” Bacup starts, but stops when Northstar starts to laugh. Her voice carries over the lad. “That’s fine by me! Enjoy your little camp!” She leans forward and her sharp teeth shine in an evil grin. “Of course, nothing comes free.”

Bacup joins his mentor’s side. “I will give you my firstborn.” A silence, even more quiet than before, falls over the area. It’s broken by Northstar’s loud laughter. “Who do you think I am?! Some evil witch?” A couple of chuckles can be heard from the crowd. Even Bacup lets out a little laugh, feeling stupid about his suggestion. “I want something of actual value.” Songbird’s shoulders sag a little. “We have nothing of value to give.” Northstar shrugs. “Oh well. Better luck next time.” “Wait!” Bacup walks up to the front. “What if it’s not an item? I will do anything you ask of me. I will be your most loyal and devoted knight.” Northstar looks at him with interest, narrowing her eyes. Her long fluffy tail slowly swooshes from side to side. “Anything?” she asks and Bacup responds with confidence. “Anything.” “Anything?”, she asks again. “Even if I order you to kill? Kill Whetley? Kill Songbird? Kill me?” She steps closer to the young apprentice with every word, ending almost face to face with him. He looks obviously scared and confused. “You? Why would you ever want me to…” She interrupts him. “Is that a yes? Or should I burn this place to the ground?” Bacup answers without thinking. “Yes!” Song and his companions look at Bacup with worry. He just made a deal with the devil.

Northstar walks away from him to have a good view of all of the gathered cats. “Very well then. You heard him. We have a deal. Thanks to Bacup Songbird now rules” she does quotation marks with his paws “this little dingy hole. No cat is to enter without his approval. This camp however, still belongs to Whiskered Away and will abide by all of it’s rules and belongs to me.” Songbird and his crew smile to each other. They did it. They got a place of their own where they will be safe and live the way they desire. “I even like this idea.” Northstar continues. “It will spur some friendly rivalry between my beloved knights. After all, if you offer me more than Bacup, you might be the next ruler of this land.” She grins looking around the crowd. “I am a just ruler and will reward those loyal to me.” Song stares at her in disbelief. Their work was not over yet. They may have this land, but they will still have to work hard to protect it. Northstar begins to leave. Rainstorm, who was standing behind her looks at Song with a smirk on his face, clearly planning something awful. He exchanges a few words with his lackeys and they all leave. Songbird, Bacup, Mousetrap and Sweetbee are left in their new clan.

Zoe visits Amber in the Sylph’s den. She tells her about what happened and the two sit in silence for a while, resting their heads on each other. “But that’s not all the news I have. I will be retiring from my knight’s duties for now and moving to the nursery. We’re going to be parents soon.” The two smile and hug, but Amber can feel something weighing down on Zoe and asks her about it. The she-cat looks away from her mate and a tear rolls down her cheek. “Today… Me and Mousetrap, we tried to save him, but there was nothing we could do. But that’s not what bothers me. When I saw him… I kept having those thoughts. ‘I’m glad it’s not me, I’m glad it’s not me and the kittens I’m carrying’”. She starts crying and Amber gets close to her and nuzzles her with her nose. “Oh honey… I know it feels terrible, but I’m glad it wasn’t you either. I liked Thornblaze. He was one of the nicest cats to me and I knew him the longest. He was a great cat and a great father. And if I knew him at all, he would’ve been glad it wasn’t you too.” Zoe sniffs and looks up at Amber. “There’s nothing wrong with being glad you’re alive. I know I am.” She sighs. “I wish you would never have to go back to being a warrior.” Zoe snorts through the tears. “I won’t if we start a really big family.” Amber giggles and the two snuggle, feeling the comfort of the others’ presence.

Briston and Bixley grief after their father. They remember one time wen Thornblaze decides that his children were old enough to explore human lands. He took them out one night to the train station where he introduces them to dangers and trash cans. Bixley discovered glitter in one of them. It was the best day in her life. This one is so far the worst.

Lady Fortune feels like her pregnancy is too advanced for yoga so instead she invited other cats to go tree hugging with her. The reception is less enthusiastic than she expected.

Troutcreek starts to leave the nursery and show her kits their new home. She’s still shy and a little anxious so Owl accompanies her. She met a couple of cats when she was welcomes to the clan, but since then she stayed in the nursery with little contact with any of them. It felt awkward. She was part of the clan, but had little knowledge of it and little contact with it’s cats. It would take a while to truly feel at home, but her kits definitely helped. They probably wouldn’t remember anything before coming here and were growing healthy and happy.

Petalfall, while just as surprised by the rapid turn of events as the others, had quickly turned it to her advantage. She, Sweetyam, and Morninglight were closer than ever, and she noticed that whatever Morniglight supported so did Lièvreshell. The only hold out from the original group was Clovespeck, but with the addition of Cicadabuzz and Snailstripe, she was very sure he could be either out voted or over powered.

She glanced around at the other cats, gnawing on the few rodents that they had managed to hunt, before speaking, "So, I've been thinking." Almost immediately Sweetyam and Morninglight looked up, stopping what they were doing, and Petalfall suppressed a smile. "We've searched for a moon and haven't found a way out yet." There was a bitter murmur of agreement, "And while we should obviously keep looking for a way out, now that we have Snailstripe we need to take precautions to ensure that he's protected." At this point Cicadabuzz nodded vigorously, while Snailstripe shifted slightly, uncomfortable with the attention. "I vote that when we go out to patrol today, we look for a place to set up a more permanent sleeping quarters, a home base of sorts." Up until then they had just been sleeping wherever the end of the day brought them, Hollowsong keeping track as best she could of where they had been the day before.

Cicadabuzz and Sweetyam nodded in agreement, while Morninglight and Lièvreshell murmured their approval. Clovespeck rolled his eyes, but shrugged. "Having a home base would make storing up food easier too, so we don't have to hunt so much every single day." Her patrol slowed down, giving her space to recover but her breathing grew worse and she collapsed to the ground. Autumngiggle shouted for someone to fetch a herbalist, not paying attention whoever ran off to find as she focused on the spasming elder warrior. As quickly as the seizure came, Borealrust stopped moving completely, her flanks still as the last breath left her body. Autumngiggle and her cats helped carry her body home, running into Mouseblaze and Cypressmask on the way back, and all nine cats returned home mourning the loss of such an esteemed Outback warrior.

Fignose finally got lucky, panting heavily as he held the now-dead animal between his jaws. He returned home and assumed his wounds would be taken care of through basic grooming instead, but some of the puncture bites ended up becoming infected, and he grew weaker because of them. Try as they might, the medicine cats weren't able to cleanse the infection, and eventually he succumbed to it...

He was confident that everyone was running on the same speed, but failed to notice that Sleetshimmer was lagging behind, the young molly's eyes wide with terror as the noise of hoof beats got closer to her than she'd like... When the patrol was out of the herd's reach, Hollowfang did a head count, his confidence waning as he noticed he was missing Sleetshimmer. His heart fell to his stomach when he realized what happened to her.

She galloped to Iciclesnap, who was still struggling to get to her paws, and grabbed her by the scruff before throwing her with all her might to be as far from the gator and closer to her patrol members. Perhaps the shock saved her from being aware of her surroundings and the heavy clamp of gator teeth in her haunches as her mind grew numb and she drifted away into an endless sleep; before her soul left to join the ranks of The Fallen, Morningdew's final memory was of how sorry she felt for her mother Locustswoop, as she ended up outliving her entire family...

the territories are in full bloom during the hottest time of the year. prey is bountiful during
this time of the year, and herbs can be found in abundance. kittings will be handled smoothly,
and cats are still around who might be in need of a new home. however, predators are also
fond of the warm weather, and cats who overwork themselves may find themselves suffering
from dehydration and exhaustion.

TUNDRACLAN ▬ selkirks

hunting results
• duckleap's patrol caught x2 hares, x1 tundra vole, x1 raven, and x1 duck. however, while the clan cats were distracted with their prey, they were ambushed. while they managed to chase the rogues away with relative ease, catvoid sustained several minor scratches that will need to be treated with x1 cobweb or x1 moon of rest.
• emberleap's patrol caught x2 stoats, x2 lemmings, x1 weasel, and x1 duck. however, they were attacked by a large group of rogues. while none of the tundraclan cats sustained severe injuries, the rogues managed to get way, stealing x1 stoat, x1 lemming, and x1 weasel.
• silksky's patrol caught x1 hare, x1 weasel, x1 raven, x1 duck, and x1 tundra shrew. however, it seems that the warm weather brought out the rogues in full-force. the hunting patrol was surrounded within a heartbeat, and the cats had to fight for their lives, while they managed to make it back to tundraclan's camp, dunestep's injuries hadn't stopped bleeding by the time they arrived. though the healers tried their best to stop the bleeding, it was too late, as dunestep's injuries were too severe. the healers gathered gaster and honeyfur so that the small family would be able to say their goodbyes until, at last, dunestep joined the ranks of the shining lights...

border patrol results
• cedarshade's patrol was alerted to the distant sounds of fighting while they patroled the borders. thinking that it might be a tundraclan patrol, the group went to investigate to find two strangers fighting against a group of rogues. without hesitating, the tundraclan cats joined the battle and managed to drive the rogues away. the two strangers joined the patrol back to camp, where they introduced themselves. the healers went to work on patching the cats up. in particular, they determine that elmsway will require x1 horsetail, x1 goldenrod, and x1 honey as well as x2 moons of rest after several scratched became infected.

• terrabite's patrol followed the scent of an arctic fox, which they followed for some distance before coming across an elderly cat looking for shelter. the cat tells the patrol that the fox has been settled in the area for some time now, but the patrol decides to return to camp to take the elder home and reassess the situation. they can choose to chase the fox out next moon, or leave it alone for the time being.

herb hunting results
• the healers gathered x1 horsetail, x1 poppy seeds, x1 feverfew, x1 cobwebs, x1 dandelion, x1 goldenrod, and x1 meadow saffron. however, despite tsunamibite's best efforts, a group of rogues attacked the patrol and stole x1 dandelion, x1 meadow saffron, and x1 feverfew.

training results
• hauntpaw passed and learned agility. however, she received a minor concussion during the session and will need to take x1 moon of rest to recover.
• sugarpaw failed to learn swimming after he jumped too quickly into the shallow water without looking. he yelped in pain and was unable to put any weight on his forepaw, so he was taken to the healers, where it was determined that he sprained his paw and will need x1 moon of rest.
• the other apprentices all passed and learned their respective skills without further incident.

assessment results
• cobwebpaw and teddypaw both beam at the great news when they learn that they both passed their assessments. they are ready to receive their full names and join the ranks as full members of tundraclan.

camp event
• despite wisteriaflight's orders to rest to recover from dehydration, hiraethsight went out on patrol. by the time the knight returned to camp, they were becoming sick. their patrol-mates sent them back to wisteriaflight, who stated that hiraethsight will need to take x1 additional moon of rest until they are well again, or risk getting worse.
• in the middle of the night, a small group of rogues attack tundraclan's camp and stole x3 lemmings before disappearing back into the night. by the time the guards raised the alarm and the tundraclan cats were ready for a fight, the rogues were long gone, taking the prey with them.
