You both begin to head into Cherrygrove City, going through a route as you pass. Along the way you see a few Ratatta scamper by, but you quickly avoid them. Katsu seems to give a few of them angry squints, but they are all so swift they barely even notice. As one of the purple creatures pass by you, they let out a hiss before returning to the safety of the grass.

Right before you enter Cherrygrove City, a wild Sandshrew comes across your path!

already in a fighting stance. "we should focus on catching it,
so don't make it faint." his pokémon nodded, getting ready
for a command. eijiro shifted on his spot. "katsu, ember!"
