Stumpy smiled as the slightly soggy dedenne hopped onto her head. This was just nice, and peaceful. Everyone was getting along, and that was the most important part. At least in Stumpy's opinion.

Everyone was getting along pretty well! Dedenne sits on your head for a head until they jump down and roll a pokeball towards you. Lantern looks at it, interested in the rolling ball. Looks like they trust you enough to join you!

As you approach the pokécenter, Nurse Joy greets you. "How may I help you?" She says, before taking notice of Luxray's tail. "Oh no, poor thing. Did you get into a trap?" Nurse Joy quickly turns around to grab a potion off a shelf, before coming around the counter and heading closer to the Luxray- but however, Luxray growls and backs off, fur pricked with static coming out of it. "Are they a wild pokémon?" Nurse Joy asked, confused.

Behave, Luxury. Please, she's only trying to help.

aaaAfter a good bit of walking, Luxray, Tepig and I finally enter the city. I purposely avoid areas with lots of people, knowing that they'll make Luxray uncomfortable. Thankfully, it's a weekday, meaning that most people are at work, and the pokemon center is also less crowded than usual.
aaaUpon entry, a Nurse Joy smiles and asks how they can help me, but before I can explain, she takes notice of Luxray's tail. She quickly grabs a potion and begins to approach it, but Luxray growls and starts backing up into a corner. Static starts coursing through its fur and I suck in a sharp breath. One good shock from that could kill.
aaaNurse Joy looks at me, baffled, and questions me about Luxray's origins. I ignore her for a second, instead turning to Luxray. I lower my eyes in submission, then say in a soothing, yet commanding manner, "Luxray, stop. Nurse Joy doesn't mean any harm. She's only trying to help." Tepig squeals a nervous reassurance.
aaaAs I wait for Luxray's response, I shoot a disapproving glare at the Nurse Joy. She shouldn't waited for me to explain the situation before pouncing on Luxray like that. Even a tame predator could've reacted the same way to someone other than their trainer. I look back to the floor.

Spark attempts to calm Luxray!

Nurse Joy awkwardly shuffles away a little, waiting for Luxray to calm down. Luxray bristles in anger and distrust, but the static stops coursing through Luxray's fur. Tepig glances between Nurse Joy, the Luxray, and you. Nurse Joy quietly hands you a potion. "Perhaps.. It'd be better if you use the potion on Luxray instead of me.." she nervously says. "I certainly don't want to anger Luxray again- they don't seem to trust people very easily.

Harris, along with Rhapsody and Eight, were now backed up into a corner. Caesar looked to the Misdreavous, sickly indeed, and sighed. "So, you care about your sickly friend?" He asked the Zoroark. "Seems like you had good times, then.". Caesar wasn't raised right, in his opinion. He was only in a clutch of six, and that clutch was left by his mother, who he has no knowledge about. And the farm that his owner worked at seemed to not care about him, only referring to him as "another of them pokemons". "Horrid" and "dreadful" were two words that Caesar used for the farm.

Out Of Character
I've had an idea for the story. So... I've gotten tired of Harris, Rhapsody, and Eight. I was going to have Caesar find a new owner, through the help of the Zoroark and the Shuppets, and maybe a better life. Yes, no, maybe?

One of the shuppets fly over to Harris, a lot more calm this time around. It seems to want him to take the Misdreavous with him, possibly to help it get stronger.

Cyrius looked at the Sneasel. Your eyes tell me you want a battle. So be it then! he spoke. At the point of a finger, Millennia was in front of him. Alright, Millennia! Use Vine Whip! he commanded. He watched the Sneasel intently, studying the way it battled in order to predict its next move.

The sneasel stumbled backwards, tripping over the vine whip. It was quick to retaliate with swiping claws, bounding gracefully over to Millennia. Sneasel used scratch!

With no time to waste, the two were already out on the first roads of Kanto, looking for more Pokemon to catch. There was still plenty of time before they’d challenge the first gym, but a second partner would be a must if they were going to challenge a Rock-type gym.

Pepper pouted a little bit, since he just implied that she wouldn’t be able to handle it on her own.

“Sorry. That wasn’t meant to be an insult.” Not the best first impression, but in the end she understood what was meant by that and didn’t seem to mind anymore. Besides, she was happy at the thought of having more friends to travel with anyway.

(what have i done. although, hopefully you can fight off a braviary..?)

As you make your way around, the leaves on the braches nearby quivers. Pepper notices and takes a closer look...



A braviary appears! That's... not good... Pepper turns around to look at you, looking like she felt there was danger- but not that much danger. Braviary caws at you, flapping their large wings! What will you do?

Flash looks very eager to leave this cave! Looks like he's been swimming around here for a very long time now- the cave only has a small pool, which is cool, but didn't keep him entertained for too long. Pixie and Jalepeño nod as well. Looks like everyone agrees to want to leave the cave!

Stumpy stood, and then looked towards Flash. "I can't carry you, so you'll have to be in your ball for a little bit, okay?" Stumpy recalled the lanturn, and marked the cave on her map.
"Alright, you guys, lead the way!" Stumpy exclaimed, setting down Pixie and Jalepeño. She collected the towel and other items, then started off on her grand adventure, following her Pokémon.
