The current season is leaf-fall! You can tell because the leaves are changing colors, and it's starting to get chilly! Because of the chill it's a little easier for cats to fall ill, and births will become a little more difficult. You'll also find less prey and new cats on patrols, as they're focusing on finding a place to keep warm for the upcoming leafbare season.

It charged straight for Papillonshimmer, but Orquepelt bravely shoved her out of the way at the last moment and took the brunt of the attack. The fox picked him up by the scruff and tossed him against a rocky outcropping, and after the rest of the patrol recovered from their shock and chased the fox away, Papillonshimmer let out a howl over his body, confirming his death. The other warriors did their best to comfort her, but she will need 1 moon of rest and x1 poppy seeds to recover.

The first kit is a shorthaired black tom with low white (Ll, XoY, BB, Dd, Aa, McMc, tata, Ccs, Wsw). The second kit is a shorthaired black ticked molly with low white (LL, XoXo, BB, Dd, Aa, Mcmc, Tata, CC, Wsw). Cloverwish may not have been able to save Sootwhisker, but he was able to use x1 raspberry leaf to save the second kit from dying.

Shale sighed, defeated. As he turned around, he started to wonder... Had he imagined the whole thing? The forest taking the shape of a cat and speaking to him personally? Surely such a thing was impossible, wasn't it? Maybe it was all some delusion, brought on by grief. Maybe it was just luck that had brought him to this place. Or maybe there was nothing special about it at all.

As he turned, however, Shale caught sight of a figure. For just a moment, he felt a thrill, thinking that the cat of the forest had returned to him. But no... This cat had pale fur, turned gleaming silver in the moonlight. Shale took a step back, wary of the sudden appearance. Suspiciously, he asked, "Who are you?"

The strange cat regarded him for a moment before answering. "My name is Opalescent. I'm here because you asked for me."

Shale was silent for a long time. At first, he didn't understand what Opalescent meant. But finally, it started to sink in.

"You... You're the cat who can speak to the forest!"

Opalescent nodded once, and the pair went together to the cave behind the waterfall to speak with each other further.

quickclan is greeted with the presence of a groveclan patrol this moon as cyanstar and falconflight welcome the newest additions to their family. after the long journey to their new clan, the kits are given some time to settle in before they are introduced to quickclan with their names: peregrinekit, cobaltkit, goldenkit, buzzardkit, and dingokit. the queens agree to help nurse the kits, though falconflight temporarily moves into the nursery to watch over the kits. (xx)

the new elder is intitiately reluctant to settle in with quickclan's way of life, complaining of aching joins and not entirely fond of the thought of having to rely on other cats for his next meal. however, after taking some time to warm up in briskbird and brindlestrike's company, he introduces himself as icicleclaw. within a few days, it seems that icicleclaw has settled in well, and briskbird tells racoonears that icicleclaw has taken a liking to brindlestrike, though the pair reject the spreading rumors.

meanwhile, a brightly-colored cat approaches a quickclan patrol, asking if anyone has come across a friend they made during their travels. while the quickclan cats have never heard of a cat matching their description, they offer the cat a place to stay while they look for their friend, and they accept, introducing themself as solardaze. they fall rather easily into clan life, and accepts cyanstar's offer to stay permanently.

Hunting (Cyanstar's patrol); Cyanstar's patrol catches
x2 squirrels and x1 minnow.

Hunting (Roselight's patrol); Roselight's patrol catches
x1 big fish, x2 voles, and x1 small fish.
Herongaze unfortunately breaks his paw running after a
squirrel in a tree and falling off of the tree. He will need
2 moons of rest and x1 poppy seed and x1 bindweed
+ stick.

Hunting (Oakseed's patrol; Oakseed's patrol catches
x1 minnow, x2 big fish, and x1 rabbit.
Shellpond and Ramcoat are both injured when Shellpond falls into
a rushing river, and Ramcoat dives in to save him. Ramcoat successfuly
saves his clan mate, but receives a scratch from a stray piece of drift
wood, and Shellpond hit his head on a rock when he fell, giving him a
concussion. Shellpond will need 1 moon of rest or x1 poppy
seed. Ramcoat will need 1 moon of rest or x1 dock leaf.

Hunting (Loonlight's patrol); Loonlight's patrol catches x2 ermines
and 2 ducks. Rippleriver bleeds when a rabbit she was
attempting to catch bit her. She will need 1 moon of rest
and 1 cobweb and x1 goldenrod.

Hunting (Splashfall's patrol); Splashfall's patrol catches x1 minnow
and x1 squirrel.

Patrolling (Tallpeak's patrol); Tallpeak's patrol goes uneventfully till a hungry fox
ambushes the patrol. Cumuluswish loses her life defending
Pearlnose from its jaws, crushed by its teeth. Nightjarstripe, infuriated by the death of
his clanmate, brutally attacks it. Nightjarstripe bleeds and will require x1 moon
of rest or x1 cobweb. The patrol manages to chase it away, but nothing could
be done to save Cumuluswish in her last moments.

Patrolling (Treespirit's patrol); Treespirit's patrol encounters a warrior-aged cat!
They are a cream classic shorthair with amber eyes, colored by Deimos on Grey
Hoodie's lines. Their provided genotype is LL, --, XO-, dd, --, mcmc, C-, ww.

Patrolling (Hollowfang's patrol); Hollowfang's patrol was uneventful.

Patrolling (Cardinalheart's patrol); Cardinalheart's patrol scents a
fox in the area, possibly a mate or child to the fox who attacked
Tallpeak's patrol. Will Quickclan send a patrol out to survey the area, or leave
it alone and see if it goes away on its own?

Herb Gathering; Alpinemask's gathering patrol gathers x1 water
hemlock, x1 mallow leaf, x1 sorrel, x1 thyme, x1 catchweed, x1 fennel, and x1
cobweb.

Training; Apricotpaw successfully learns climbing!
Ashpaw, Twigpaw, Thrushpaw, and Skypaw successfully learn climbing!
Unfortunately, Ashpaw was climbing a tree ahead of Skypaw, and ended up
falling down onto the other apprentice, sending them both crashing to the
ground... Ashpaw will need x1 moon of rest or x1 tormentil for a
scratch he received while tumbling down the tree, and Skypaw will need x1 moon
of rest or x1 feverfew for a headache she got when Ashpaw barreled into
her.

𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐥𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐞: “I’m sorry but you won’t be expecting kits this moon.” Peonystripe mewed to Butterflynose. A flash of sadness and frustration went through Butterflynose before she calmed herself and padded out. All she wanted was a family and it was a shame to know that she would still be far from that reality. Butterflynose sat tall just outside of the medicine den, thoughts rushing through her brain what if she was infertile? what if starclan never wanted her to be a mother? Her thoughts were soon interrupted by Mousepelt trotting towards her. “Hey! What’s up? You look upset?” He spoke all at once, “oh! It’s nothing, don’t worry about it!” She told her mate, not wanting to burden him with her fears. She could tell he didn’t believe her one bit and looked deeply at her “really?” He asked. Butterflynose hadn’t even been planning a family for long, she was just prone to overreactment, she didn’t want Mousepelt to think she was stupid. With her not responding Mousepelt rested his chin on her head, Butterflynose knew that he knew she didn’t want to share. One of his qualities she valued was the fact he never pushed for answers from her.

Tigerkit and Bramblekit stood at the center of the clearing, Featherstar sitting atop a
Tigerkit and Bramblekit stood at the center of the clearing, Featherstar sitting atop a
rock in front of them. "Tigerkit, is it your wish to train as a warrior apprentice, to
learn how to serve and protect your clan?"
"Yes," he breathed shakily.
"From this moment until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Tigerpaw."
She looks briefly around the crowd before turning back to Tigerpaw. "Dustspot, you will
be Tigerpaw's mentor. I trust that your excellent skills as a warrior will pass onto him."
The she-cat walks forward and nods respectfully. She bends down and touches noses with
her new apprentice, and guides him to the edge of the crowd.
Feather then turns her gaze to Bramblekit. "Bramblekit, is it your wish to train as a
warrior apprentice, to learn how to serve and protect your clan?"
He gently nods his head.
"From this moment until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as
Bramblepaw." She glances back into the crowd once more. "Your mentor will be Darkfur.
He is a respectful and powerful warrior, and I trust him to teach you well."
Darkfur trots up to Bramblepaw and touches noses with him, just like Dustspot did with
Tigerpaw. They go towards Tigerpaw, and the cats begin cheering their names.

Emberspark rushes into camp. "Featherstar! It's urgent," she cries out. Cats look around
wildly, worried.
Featherstar bounds over, concerned. "What is it, Emberspark?"
"A cat- at the border. They seem scared." Featherstar looked at the genuine panic in her
warrior's eyes. "Lead the way."
Sunkit watched the two she-cats dash out of camp, Mudstorm and Nightwhisper following.
Oakpaw stood at the entrance to the medicine den, watching as his mentor left. Sunkit
padded up to him. "Hi Oakpaw! Wanna play?"
Oakpaw turned towards the kit who was not that much smaller than him. "Awh I'm sorry
Sunkit, I'd love to but I have to finish sorting these herbs."
Sunkit pouted for a second before they had an idea. "I can help! Lily says I'm great at
cleaning! And cleaning and sorting are basically the same!" They looked eagerly
at Oakpaw.
"Alright. But, I have to ask Lily first." The two padded over to the nursery and Oakpaw
poked his head inside. A few moments later, he exited. "Alright, let's go. The quicker we
get this done, the sooner we can play."
It didn't take that long, Oakpaw realized. He was shocked at how well Sunkit worked with
herbs, and how quickly they learned the differences. He wondered if maybe one day...
Nevermind, that's their choice whether they wants to be a medicine cat or not. He and
Sunkit exited the medicine den, and began to play Scary Badger Attacks the Camp. But they
didn't get too far into their game when Featherstar, her deputy, Nightwhisper, Emberspark,
and an unfamiliar and scared-looking cat entered the cat. Oakpaw immediately went over,
leaving Sunkit alone. "How can I help?" He asked his mentor.
"They're in slight shock, but luckily we don't have to spend any herbs on it," Nightwhisper replied.
Oakpaw breathed out thankfully, and turned to head back to Sunkit, only to realize they'd
vanished. Following their scent trail, he tracked them into the medicine den. As far as he was
aware, there was nothing dangerous, but he couldn't risk anything. Entering the den, he saw
them poking around the herb stores and muttering to themself. He stayed silent and listened.
"Catmint, that's for greencough. Dock is for wounds, and cobwed to stop bleeding. Honey for
coughing, I know that because Oakpaw gave it to me once." They continued listing the common
herbs until Oakpaw made his presence known.
"Oh! I know I'm not supposed to be in here but I figured you'd be a while and-"
"It's okay, don't worry," he cut them off. "Just don't let Nightwhisper find you in here," he said,
chuckling.
"Don't let me find who in here?" Came a deep voice from behind Oakpaw. The two younger cat's
eyes widened.
"Don't worry, neither of you is in trouble," he said, amused. "But, Sunkit, you should be careful
nosing around in here. There's nothing dangerous, but some dangerous herbs look innocent."
Sunkit nodded, fear still minorly present in their eyes. Oakpaw went over to them and guided
them out, before the two burst into laughter. "Only our luck," they said. Oakpaw hummed in
agreement. The two quickly returned to the game they'd been playing earlier.

Pebbleskip lay under the large rock, still shaken from their encounter. They weren't exactly sure
what they saw, but they didn't like it. They were lucky this clan took them in, giving them
shelter. They chuckled slightly as they watched a young brown tom and a bright ginger cat begin to
play fight. Neither was amazing at fighting, and they recognized the slightly older tom as the
medicine cat apprentice. But they realized the tom was going easy on the kit, too. They chuckled
once more, enjoying the closeness of the two. It reminded them of the life they used to have.
They quickly snapped out of their thoughts, and continued watching clan life.

The cold air of the mountain was still. Soft snow crunching beneath dark paws. A tall figure dropping a tinier one into the snow, then running away. The moon hung in the sky, lighting up the kit in it's welcoming moonlight. Ears flopped down over the snow, and as the little kit awoke, it's eyes opened to reveal a strange red.

It wasn't much longer until there were more steps, softened by snow. The kit was freezing and scared, even more so when two paws, a lighter grey than his own, stopped in front of him. "You poor little thing." The cat said, quickly scooping him up from the cold place he had, shivering on the ground. The chocolate smoke kitten, wriggled so much, but the cat didn't let go.

Ghostfall broke into a run. Why was the kit left on a mountain? To die? If he ever found out who left the small chocolate kitten there, he... He didn't really know what he'd do. Nothing good, at least. The kit was tiny, who would do such a thing? Even if he was angry with the mother, she was gone now, so he had to bring the kit to camp without screaming at her. He entered the cave, didn't stop for any questions, and headed straight for Dandelionstar's den.

He was hesitant as he entered, however, what if he was asleep? But Dandelionstar was very much awake, with Frostgaze next to him. "Oh. Hi... Am I interrupting something?" The cats stared at him for a second. "Uh... yes...? Why do you have a kit?" Frostgaze decided to speak first, the lynx point she-cat waving a paw at it. "I uh, found it in the snow-" He mewed quickly. "If you guys are busy, I can wait until tomorrow..." He continued, starting to step out of the den. "Nono, stay. The poor kit looks so scared, put it down." Dandelionstar demanded, and Ghostfall did just that. "Do you need me?" He asked slowly. "Yes, actually, you will have to tell Lavendereyes, this, though. Preferably without any other... Adult... cats around." Frostgaze answered. Ghostfall looked confused. "Why adult cats specifically?" Neither cat answered, his question, and just continued what seemed to be the conversation they were having before.

The sun rose over the mountain top, but no warmth was felt in the sun's rays. Lavendereyes' kits were still sleeping, and Ghostfall had just left the nursery, dropping off a new kit and informing her of something he, Frostgaze and Dandelionstar were talking about. "Thanks Sleet!" She called after her mate, before turning her attention to the new kit. "Hey, little one, have a name?" She asked softly. He looked to be about the same age as her kits, who were 3 moons already... They were getting bigger, and older, and only 3 more moons until they'd be apprentices. "Fang." The kit squeaked bluntly, before showing his teeth.

He was quite a curious kit. Red eyes and longer fangs. But with unusual eyes from herself and Shadekit, she didn't care so much. "Alright, Fang. As per clan tradition, I'll give you a different name." The kit frowned. "Aw, don't worry, you'll get to keep your old name as a nickname, if you'd like. I'm Lavendereyes, but cats that are close to me call me Caramel." Fang thought for a second, before nodding. "Okay, so, how do you feel about the name-" She was interrupted by tiny claws digging into her, she turned her head and spotted her little troublemaker of a kit, Whitekit. "Hey- hey, stop- no-." "Sorry Fang-" "Hi Fang!" The silver tabby kit mewed, interrupting her as soon as she mentioned the newcomer's name. "Are you my new sibling? You'll love it here!" Huffing, Lavendereyes put her paw over his muzzle. Whitekit started giggling. "Alright, anyway, how do you feel about the name..." She looked back over her shoulder to see if any of the girls were awake. They were still sleeping soundly, so she continued. "... Coalkit?" Fang nodded, ever so slightly moving away from Whitekit, seeming to be off-put by his overly-excited personality.

Lavendereyes pulled her paw back, away from Whitekit, who was still more excited than ever. "I'm freee! Wanna play mossball? Or escape camp? Or-" "Whitekit, I'm right here." Lavendereyes reminded him "Oh."

With all the noise her brother was making, it was no wonder Lunarkit was awake. But seeing that their sister was still next to her, Lunarkit had no idea who he was talking to. Quietly, she padded around her mother to see where Whitekit was, and her eyes locked with a kit she didn't recognise. She offered a friendly smile and started walking over. "Sorry about my brother, I'm Lunarkit, who are you?" "HEY!" Whitekit meowed, running over. "Don't apologise for me! I'm doing NOTHING wrong!" "I'm Coalkit... Now." The stranger answered trying his best to ignore Whitekit. "Moonyymoooo!" Whitekit complained. "Whitekit, calm down..." Their mother muttered.

Hootflower had a small cod in her jaws as she sat in the cave they called their camp. It had been awhile since Coalkit had joined, and Lavendereyes had been taking care of them nicely. She had an apprentice now, Summitpaw. A former loner, another elder had joined them, and they brought along their kit. They seemed like a tight-knit family. And don't forget the two more apprentices that had joined from another clan, Dunlinswoop seemed interested in learning about them, but she didn't get one as an apprentice.

Hootflower was good at spotting relationships within her clan and could easily read other cat's emotions with just how they reacted to things. She didn't consider herself that important within her clan, but it was neat to see relationships develop. One that seemed particularly interesting was Birchdrift and Smallfox. They had gotten much closer than any other cat. They had a clear size difference. Smallfox was... Small, and Birchdrift towered over her. She was excited to see how it'd play out, even wondering if they'd have kits eventually.

Common pelt colours, fur lengths, etc.: White, light grey, sometimes tan and light brown pelts. Normally tabbies and spotted tabbies, if not solid. Heterochromia is not uncommon, common eye colours are light brown, blue and green. Long furs and short furs with feathery tails are common in this clan, too.

If you see extra names in brackets next to a cat's normal name, that's just their nickname! Not all cats will have them, but if they do have them, that's how they'll be addressed within the clan.

Only cats who have NOT been found on patrol or via request will be on the 'this moon's actions' list.

Forbidden relationships are very not allowed in ArcticClan and can be rolled to be found out! If a relationship is discovered, the ArcticClan cat will get a punishment, and any kits that the cats had (if they're still kits) will be given to another family to raise as the parent involved will be seen unfit.
