I stared at the Piplup that I had just gotten from the professor.
"Hello, buddy." I gave it a soft smile. "I hope we become great friends."
I thanked the professor, and went out. I poked the Piplup
with the pokéball, which transmitted the pokémon inside. I then
went over to Route 1, in hopes of finding a wild pokémon.

Sableye looks to the pokeball and reaches out to it.
A bright red light envelops the pokemon as it enters the pokeball.
Congratulations! The Sableye was caught!

Vanessa smiles, the pokemon's head is warm but it doesn't burn her hand. She smiles at the two, crouching down as houndour jumps into her arms to let Vanessa rub its stomach. She giggled, looking up at the huge pokemon and smiling, "Do you two wanna come walk with us? You don't have to but you're welcome to come!" she invited, the houndour jumping in excitement as she looked at the Moltres.
Box/Storage:
Houndour looks to its friend, it looks like Houndour really wants to come with but wants to make sure it's okay with Moltres first.
Moltres returns the look and smiles.
It seems like both pokemon would love to join you

But I think we should have a change of scenery." Vanilla took out map of the Unova region and looked at it. Then, she looked back at her pokemon with a smile on her face. "I think we should go to Floccesy Town. It seems like a nice place," said Vanilla. Vanilla and her pokemon started to walk there.
As you start to near the town's entrance you come across two trainers.
"Hello there," a school kid says to you.
"Would you perhaps like to partake in a double battle against us?" the other trainer, another school kid, asks
They both send out their pokemon, a pansear and a panpour, while awaiting your decision.

Vanessa smiled in excitement, the Houndour letting out an excited yelp as it trotted next to her feet. The houndour playing with her other pokemon while the Moltres flew next to her. Silvally seemed to get along with the Moltres, Skarmory was excited to greet another flying pokemon as it flew with it. Charmander hopped around, watching the wonderful flames as they continued to walk, coming into a clearing, "alrighty! Let's train!" Vanessa said in excitement, her pokemon jumping around as they found a partner to train with, Charmander really wanted to be Houndour's partner but it wasn't a part of the team. Vanessa looked at her pokemon, they seemed very interested in travelling with the two, so she turned, pulling two pokeballs out of her bag. She didn't toss them-as she didn't like to be rude and catch them by surprise, so she kindly held them out and asked them softly, "Would you two want to join my team? My pokemon really take interest and I'd love it if you did" she smiled, holding a pokeball in front of each of the two.

They take a small step back, eyes narrowing as they try to think of what to do here. Running probably won't work, so it looks like they're going to have to fight. So, they shift into a more steady stance, and glare at him. "No, I don't think I will. They're staying with me, I assure you." they mentally applaud themself for not stuttering over that, and notices how Nathan moves to stand at their side, ready to defending his new teammates just as much as they are.

"Of course I'll do a double battle with you guys!" excitedly said Vanilla, who couldn't wait to do her first battle. "It'll be a good experience for my pokemon." Vanilla turned to her pokemon. "Okay, I'm going to send out Cherry & Sunflower first. Cherry, you do Water Gun. Sunflower, you do Thunder Shock. Aim for the pansear first," said Vanilla. Cherry and Sunflower got in their positions for the battle.
