The Hellcats is a group of mainly outcasts who are almost entirely poc and/or lgbt/mogai. They have grouped together in an attempt to survive. Disabled people are also common within the group. The group is known to be highly aggressive to outsiders, and tight-knit within the group. They live in an abandoned motel off the side of a dirt road. No one talks about what it was probably used for before the apocalypse happened.

there used to be four of them taking a vacation in the wilderness as friends, not a care in the world, not a single worry about work or university, no need to catch up on homework or rush for a deadline. the four of them had a cabin close on the edge of a forest overlooking a cliff which showed them the view of the small town below which they called home, it was breathtaking. the cabin was not your regular cabin, per se, it was more of a mini-mansion, five bedrooms, and more bathrooms too. no need for a kitchenette, the cabin provided a whole culinary kitchen, but most of the knives and food inside were robbed by bandits after what the only survivor called 'the calamity'. the cabin was close enough for one to walk through the forest to find a convenience store with all sorts of random snacks and other things, close enough for one to take their car and drive down to town in case anything happened. soon enough though, everything broke down and the four diminished to one as the undead rose from the dark shadows behind trees.
now the ex-detective-in-training now survivor, blaise, with his pet cat now must forge his path forward against the spectral apocalypse. he has already figured out how he will surpass once more using four roles: the foragers, the healers, the hunters, and the warden(s). he is willing to take most in unless they prove dangerous in any way possible. his main base is the massive cabin, secluded away from the chaos in the town down below.

avery was reclining back on one of the beds in the nurse’s office, watching connie search through cabinets. she seemed very frustrated, but avery didn’t comment on it.
“there's not much here.” connie huffed. “i think some of the other students still lurking around campus might have gotten here before me.”
avery sat up on her elbows. “maybe they’ll be willing to share.”
“perhaps, though most of the kids here aren’t the nicest.”
avery rolled her eyes. “no one here is nice. that’s why we were sent here.”
connie bit her lip and didn’t say anything, she sat into the spinning office chair at what was once the nurse’s desk. she seemed to be thinking, probably wondering how many students there could possibly be left in the school, or she was thinking about where all the medicine could have disappeared to.
avery climbed off the bed. “do you want to go looking for kids with me? after that we can split up and you can try to find your precious medicine stuff.”
suddenly connie got all defensive. “this medicine isn’t a joke, eclipse. when someone here actually gets hurt and we need to help them that precious medicine is all we have left.”
“jeez, i was just joking.” avery paused. “lets just go.”
