wip, but quickly:
- harmonia and eris prove to have a deep bound with spirits, earning a new role called "caretakers": they help the shaman take care of the living and the dead.
- maiyun barely escaped from a hunting group of twolegs, who had killed his mate. she was helped to arrive there by the doberman twins.
- nemesis takes a liking in maiyun as she sees herself in the queen.
- nemesis, worried about the strange scent, follows almond in an investigating patrol, after making sure fenrir wouldn't follow them.
- fenrir pesters the doberman twins, running the risk to be eaten by eris. harmonia does his best to avoid that ending.

indentTragedy rippled through the kennel this morning. One of Sarah’s puppies hadn’t made it, and although there was joy and celebration for Odin, Topaz, Archie, and Toni, the ones who had, the kennel mourned for the life that had been lost.
indent“How are they doing?” Epione’s gaze is gentle as she enters the nursery, where the four wriggling pups were curled against Sarah’s belly. “They’re doing great.” She reassures the Mountain Men’s Healer, nuzzling all four in turn. “I’m glad to hear it. Send for me should anything change.” Epione instructs her, before with a flick of her tail she turns to the royal pups. Now a moon old, and already strong, the only pup she worried for was Sage. He was born deaf in one ear, and she worried how that night make training as a Second difficult.

THE SEASON is currently fall. the air is crisp, cool, but still fresh.hints of cold peer through
warmth and send chills down a dog's spine. leaves fading brown, orange, yellow, and red d
etach from the trees and flutter through the air with each gust of wind, layering the groun
d in a carpet of warm hues.the kennels, however,must remember that winter is on its way.
TO EXPECT less prey, moderate chance fatalities, more chances of sickness, less dogs disco
vered on patrols, less herbs to be harvested, more difficult birthing, and more stillborns. .

i. THE FALLEN EMPIRE

• melanie's request has been answered; a trustworthy english mastiff has arrived to join the fallen empire.
• the first half of melanie's patrol goes peacefully until she encounters a lone dutch shepherd. how were they on the inside of these fortified castle walls?
• despite the autumn's chill, melanie is able to hunt down and kill a rabbit. however, along her trek back to camp, a fox attacks her out of desperation and not only steals her kill but leaves her bloodied and bruised... after fending off the damned creature, the poor queen returns home, without the rabbit and with a wounded confidence.

ii. THE IVY SCOUTS

• niko, candie, truskett, minerva, willow, and draxx encounter an aggressive rogue snooping along their borders! luckily, no dog is injured as they chase off the threat and return to camp unscathed.
• brutus, kalsang, captain, azule, gypsy, and rodney manage to hunt down and kill a mouse along their hunting patrol, a rather unsuccessful find to say the least.
• kalta, ulysses, stella, summer, and soot manage to hunt down and kill a rabbit along their hunting patrol.
• garland, natiri, granite, bandit, and nova, unfortunately, return with nothing from their hunting patrol.
• chi and aurora manage to gather sweet-sedge on their gathering patrol.
• aurora successfully passes through all the trials of her assessment.

iii. THE CHILDREN OF POSEIDON

• ivy, sylvester, and claudio come across the scent of a trespasser. will they pursue this scent to chase off the threat or leave it for another time and place?
• ivy, sylvester, and claudio manage to hunt down and kill a squirrel. however, along their trek back to camp, they notice their borders are weak, posing more of a chance for rogues to enter and threaten their kennel.

• tapeesa, notus, ersa, cacus, mneme, chione, glaucus, and aion manage to hunt down and kill a sea bass on their hunting patrol.
• pontos and arke successfully learn fishing; zephyros, thoosa, and persephone successfully learn hunting; kratos successfully learns stalking.
• perseus and tiresias manage to gather marigold on their gathering patrol.

v. MALAKIT HEIMSVELDI

THE hounds of hell reside among the chaparral region of southern california, where all winter and fall, the heat and dryness of the arid terrain remains all the same. year-round, the chaparral is deprived of water for much of the time except for a few spurts here and there during a certain time where rain pours down and the land is rejoiced under the new climate, plants shooting their green sprouts up from the ground and turning the hills green. but these, quite unfortunately, do not last long at all, for almost as soon as they begin they end, sending the land back to its dry climate. the hounds, however, have found resourceful ways to survive for generations among this unforgiving landscape and to feed off of the few chances it offers them──common birds are easy prey and other creatures require their bottomless stamina as they trek beasts across deserted terrain for days upon days in order to earn a single meal. but this, although even the mere sound of it deters you, is the daily life that a member of the hounds of hell endures. and, no matter how awful it may seem, they embrace it.

ALTHOUGH unpleasant, the dry and arid terrain of the shrubland have become their forever and loving home. in short, live in an outcrop of boulders and stone where they may shelter from the sun and weather beneath. however, no matter this, most enjoy sleeping above the ground where it is cool in the evenings (x). the meeting-place is on an outcrop of rock, where the general kennel usually meets to discuss assignments for the day and other important matters (x). there are only a few very rare streams at a time,and even then they are very hard to reach and sometimes will have to be traveled to over long distances. in very hot seasons, these streams will often dry to a crisp and leave little water to the dogs (x). another meeting-place includes the old tree, which is a common place for mentors to train their rooks.. it is the only tree for many miles in the area, and the only surviving through the dry and arid heat (x). finally, the cerberus, the heads, and the necromancer meet in a secluded cave to discuss matters on the kennel and other subjects (x).

UNLIKE most other kennels, the hounds of hell do not follow any particular religion—rather, they follow their cerberus with utmost loyalty and will listen to his only command, even if it means their own death. how did they become this way? from birth, whelps are taught that the cerberus has all the power in their desert home and that no being can override that. therefore, the power of the cerberus is established and no one dares to question it.

Clearwater Beach

Clearwater Beach is home to a group of canines known for living in the area. They reside in an abandoned hotel just behind the beach. Clearwater Beach, known for its namesake stretch of soft, white sand is a popular place for the canines to relax - and even swim on hot days. Although Clearwater, Florida is paradise, life is difficult for the canines. Although the locals are kind, and leave them be, the tourists, sometimes, are not. The summers can also become quite hot, and water can sometimes be hard to come by for them. However, the canines of Clearwater Beach are determined to survive, and are persistent in making that happen. The group is very close-knit, a family even if they aren’t related by blood. The older dogs look after the younger ones, and teach them to be proud of where they live, and to be proud of being a member of Clearwater Beach.

xxxxxA long time ago, two gods were born; Udon and Lanos. Udon, the older brother, is the god of Nightfall. He rules from the moon, he controls the cold months, and curses those who defy the gods. Lanos, the younger brother, is the god of Daylight. He watches from the sun, brings warmth in summer and spring, and provides great hunting to those in need. The two gods give balance to the world, making the negative match the positive. Not many respect these gods, however, the start of the Silver Guardians are there to honor Udon and Lanos for all they have given up for dogs everywhere. It is said that Lanos gave birth to a son and that a few of his descendants are able to actually speak with the two gods. Most think this is a myth. However, the leader of the Silver Guardians is one of those very descendants.

Territory

xxxxxThe Silver Guardians live in a huge valley, to the North and east being tall mountains, to the south being the ocean, to the west being prairies. The pack residedes in a large forest filled with many interesting areas. Near the middle of the valley, there's a waterfall going into a nice, rocky pond. By the pond, there's an abandoned cabin that the pack uses as their home. Inside the cabin, it's all one big room, aside from the loft that takes up about a quarter of the cabin. The loft is only for the King/Queen and their family. All other dogs find their own areas to sleep below. As for the rest of the territory, there's plenty of clearings within the forest and running through it from the pond there's a creek with plenty of small fish. Near the cabin, there's an old foot bridge going across the creek for easy travling. Throughout the forest, there's old human trails. However, there are no longer any human contact with this forest.

Can this be my first dog? And I'd like Diamond to be my mod :)

Advisors: Wise dogs for advice on stragety, who to make guardians, ect. Second in command until Heir is of age.

Hunters: Majority of the dogs, does the hunting and may join Guardians for patrols if needed.
Trainees: Once a pup turns 6 months, they join the hunters for training until deemed fit.

Pups: The cherished youth of the pack.
Omegas: The weak one of the pack, watches over pups and the elderly.

Common Breeds - Will Update with more if needed
Most of the breeds run under mountain dogs, herding breeds, sheepdogs, or shepherds. There are a few hunting dogs as well. Most have thicker coats or are larger dogs (20 inches in height or more). Breeds similar to these are also acceptable. Small dogs are not often seen in the pack unless they are omega, healer, or advisor. All white or all black dogs are more common, especially being a decendant of Lanos and Udon.
