hi! i'm embarrassed to say that most of the books i've read was because it was "popular" or someone else was talking about it. although it's been awhile, i sincerely enjoyed the magnus chase series when it was coming out. i remember purchasing the second book in india when i was visiting and i was so excited to have it and not wait until i got home to read it. that first book though.. mwah. riordan really can write up a masterpiece.

My safe space is my room! Decorated with many plushies, books, plants and random little things that make me happy. I have a lot of plushies on my bed as well, my favourite is Jeffery, he's a veeeeery big penguin with a little red bowtie. c:

• my room: concrete floor, popcorn ceiling, exposed mattress with my laptop sitting on it, and my xbox close by. it's not entirely a safe space for me, but i don't have an idea of what would make me feel more comfortable besides greater distance from the people and animals i live with.

hm... good question! i don't think there's necessarily any one thing that makes someone special - each of us has different experiences and interests and traits that make them a unique person as a whole. however, i'm often told that the fact i had a really hard childhood and still managed to make a decent life for myself is something "special" to be proud of, because a lot of other people unfortunately never quite manage to do that. i'm far from perfect, but the fact that i managed to get a stable job, live on my own, and be relatively functioning on most days when it comes to adult responsibilities, social life, etc. despite all of the obstacles i faced (and still face) is "special" to me. i try hard to not let my past and mental illnesses dictate my life anymore. which, mind you, doesn't mean rejecting those parts of me and/or denying them. there's a lot of valuable things i learned from the hardest times of my life - empathy, resilience, realism, etc. i don't know who i would be without all of the hardships and while i sometimes wish i hadn't gone through all of those terrible things, i do believe that they ultimately helped me become a better, kinder, more compassionate, and stronger person. and that's special, too. taking these negative things and turning them into something good that benefits both myself and others

I learned that snowy owls eat lemmings, apparently. I did not know that before. And they also prefer hunting during the day rather than night. Though I suppose they don't have much choice with the really long daylight period in the tundras
