Weather Report: The wind has constant and the sky is full of dark clouds. There is thunder in the distance as an on coming storm approaches! Through out the day there will be light sprinkling but it will sure get worse. Prepare your dogs for the worst and fix some dens while you can, the storm will do some damage.

The two had just caught a bird when they heard russtling leaves up ahead. They hid their bird and went to go check it out and Deimos was filled with joy when he spotted his brother. "I have been looking for you! I found shelter and a place for us to stay, even after the storm has passed." It wasn't then until he noticed the young dog following his brother "Who is that?" he asked his brother.

Ares interrupted the greetings as the wind grew stronger "You can catch up later, right now we should get back to camp with that bird we caught."

Upon meeting a dog the alpha male pauses, dropping his rabbit and growling at the new comer. "Who are you and why are you trespassing?"

"I mean no disrespect, I am just looking for some shelter and food from this storm that is coming." The female barked back at the alpha.

Kodiak stood there, eyeing the female in front of him. She looked healthy and strong, she could be a great asset to his new pack. The alpha nodded his head slightly before picking up his rabbit and motioning for the female to follow him back to camp.

The pair returned just in time as the pack shaman returned from his search. Parker stashed his herbs away while Kodiak stashed the rabbit in one of the small caves used for the fresh-kill pile. Kodiak emerged to introduce Parker to their new member. "Please introduce yourself to us." the alpha said to the female.

"I'm Charlie." the large female replied, dipping her head a bit.

"Well Charlie, if you'd like to remain in my back and join as my beta. I promise you will always have a place to stay and will have food." Kodiak explains.

Charlie took a step back, shocked at what the alpha had just said to her. The female thought it over for a moment before nodding her head yes. It would be a lot better then roaming alone and struggling to survive. "Yes. I will join and help provide for your pack."

The pack gets introductions out of the way before working out a plan to look for more future pack mates and more food.

Diana looked up from her herbs as she heard the voices of the party returning to the camp, along with some new voices that intrigued the shaman. She poked her head out of the den to see Ares and Deimos returning with two dogs at their heels. The first dog was who she assumed was Deimos's brother they'd gone to find. He stood tall like his brother and had ears that bent down at an angle. The second dog was a small, light brown puppy with dazzling blue eyes. She felt a parental warmth as she saw the young tenderpaw go off with Ares, jumping and yapping and asking him questions about the territory she was now training to defend. Athena could only assume that the alpha was going to train her. A loud bark made her ears perk up and she saw Deimos in the process of being tackled by his brother. The two looked happy as they tumbled around the camp, almost bowling over Ares and Athena. Ares growled at them and then cuffed Deimos over the head. Diana sighed and shook her head fondly at the boys and little Athena yapping excitedly on the sidelines while she watched her new alpha disappeared into the flurry of claws.

Anteros wagged his tail in excitement as Deimos began leading the way out of camp, his eyes wide at the thought of going on his first patrol with his brother. Ares led Athena out towards the training grounds, a fond gaze in his eye as he watched his tenderpaw sniff and ask about everything she could see. The group was not bothered as much by the approaching storm as maybe was wise, but they had work to do. (aka writer's block is fun)

Weather Report: Summer seems to have vanished - it's chilly out. The thick grey clouds are amassing and a light rain has begun to patter around the dogs that do go out and about. Most prey is holed up, avoiding the rain. Stray dogs are more likely to be found as they try to escape the rain and light wind. Tenderpaws and dogs sent on more then one patrol are more likely to get a cough thanks to the rain!

With a small grin on his muzzle, Aland bounds happily towards the new Beta and fae, She's unquie for sure I'll have to keep my eye on her he hums at the thought that buzzes around. Rin and lee got back to there pack as the rest for sometime. The clouds started to come over as Rin sighed and looked at Lee. "Lee?" He said getting up from the floor as Lee looked at him, "Yes?" Apollo tilted his head upwards, dark brown orbs looking at the darkening sky. It was rather gloomy, and he knew a storm was brewing up in the sky. His gaze momentarily switched to the camp surrounding him. The brute hoped that it would hold up well in the storm. Once again lifting his darker shaded muzzle, the kangal closed his eyes and let himself think for a moment. He wanted to grow his kennel, though was contemplating calling his ancestors and going out on a patrol to look for anyone.
After a few minutes of deep, silent thought, the brute decided that it would be best to call upon his ancestors to help him have the perfect beta. Lifting himself from his haunches, the male than trotted out to the sacred waterfall. His ears pricked forwards as he neared it, the sound of rushing water familiar to the brute. Moving to a large flat rock that was touching the bank of the water, Apollo sat onto it and placed a paw in the shallow water, a ritual he did each time when greeting his ancestors at the waterfall. He dipped his head, then opened his maw to speak. "Greetings, great ancestors. I call upon you today as to ask for a beta. One that is strong, intelligent and reliable and will help to guide me and my kennel in the right direction. Will you grant me of one?" He spoke in his low, rumbling baritone.

The whole pack was together now, laying about in camp. Butch seemed agitated though as he scowled at some of the dogs in camp, mainly the two new comers, Kalven and Kate. They seemed content on fighting the ranks, saying that males can hunt just as well as females and females can fight just as well as males. Troy of course put them both in their place by attacking and pinning Kalven, that seemed to make both of them quiet for now but it has left tension in the air and made almost every dog in a bad mood.

Despite this though Shiver was working up the courage to talk to the intimidating Butch, he truly frightened her at times and she wanted to get to know him a little. It was something Viloa said a few moons ago that troubled her, what if he did like her? That would be great but what if he didn't? The silver female shook her head to rid herself of the thoughts, though it didn't work, and got up. The entire time her thoughts were yelling at her to go lay back down, to stay away from him but her actions did not mirror those thoughts as she grabbed a chicken from the prey pile and slowly walked towards the brute. She dropped the chicken carefully and nudged it towards the Dane and instead of asking to share she just slowly backs away and leaves camp without looking back or saying anything.

Butch looked at the chicken and then back at the disappearing Shiver, he ignored the chicken and got to his paws before taking after Shiver in a hurry. It was easy to catch up to the anxious and nervous fae and the two began to chat.

It was a new day, a new moon but the clouds grew darker and so did the sky. There was the scent of rain in the air and Troy had a bad feeling. The alpha sat on the edge of camp and watched as the sleeping dogs slept, noticing everything. Only Markus was awake with him and the shaman made his way towards Troy "A storm is coming and it is going to be harsh." the catahoula muttered.

"I know, I can feel it and sense it coming. I am sure the prey will know it too and there will be an increase of dogs looking for shelter." Troy voiced his concerns to the dog.

"Have them prepare, I am doing the same thing." And with that Markus left camp and searched for herbs.

Troy watched the shaman leave before looking over the camp once more and letting out a few commanding barks, waking the whole group. "A storm will be coming, we need to prepare. Prey is going to become harder to catch now and there will be an increase of dogs at our borders. Be prepared for anything and be careful." he advised as he looked each and every one in the eyes. "Butch, Kalven and I will check the borders today, all of them. Viloa, Kate and Shiver will need to hunt, catch as much as you can to prepare for this cold weather." The pack didn't waste anytime as they set off to do their jobs.

"Blizzard!" Shadow shouted at the white pup.
"Yes, Shadow?"
Shadow looked over at the other white pup named Thicket, he was currently smelling a flower that had grown in the middle of camp. "Get Thicket and meet me near the rock, today is you New Blood ceremony."
Blizzard tilted her head, "But he's deaf!"
Shadow gave her a stern stare, "Who cares if he's deaf, go get him!" Blizzard didn't continue to argue instead she marched off in Thickets direction. Shadow made her way over to the rock that stood tall in the center of the camp, she was slightly worried about the ceremony. She hadn't confessed to Blade that his son was deaf, she just told him he was just a pup and this was maybe a natural thing for him to do. She wasn't that concerned with Blizzard she was a natural born leader, though she can get rough at time.
"All dogs of Blood Moon gather round for a New Blood Ceremony!" Shadow looked down at her two pups who had just made their way to her side. She then turned her attention to the other dogs who were gathering around.
"Shadow please bring up the pups." Blade asked.
Shadow nodded and stood up, Blizzard began to walk ahead of her and Shadow had to nudge Thicket forward a bit. Shadow and Blade helped the pups onto the rock and Blizzard looked proud, on the other hand Thicket looked confused, he just looked at the surrounded dogs, and was probably wondering why they were all looking at him. "Here I present before you are, mine and Shadows pups." He announced before looking down at Blizzard. "This is my daughter Blizzard, a wonderful speaker, and rule enforcer. She has the potential for a great Irontooth, maybe leader someday! Does the kennel welcome and accept Blizzard?"
The kennel was quiet for a moment, they were deciding.
"I accept Blizzard into Blood Moon!" shouted Tiger, a new dog who had recently joined after Blizzard and Thickets birth. The kennel then repeated the same words of Tiger.
"Blizzard, welcome to Blood Moon!" He bent his head down to touch his muzzle to Blizzard white fluffy head. He lifted his head and then turned to Thicket.
"Here I present you Thicket, my first born son. He is quite shy but after he gets to know you he can be very energetic. He has the-"
"May I say something!" Shadow shouted.
Blade turned his head to her, "Sure."
"Thicket is deaf, I've been meaning to tell you but I didn't know how, I'm so-"
"Does the kennel welcome and accept Thicket?" Blade asked anger sparking in his eyes.
The kennel fell into a ghostly silence no moving, it seemed like no one was breathing either.
"I do not accept Thicket into our kennel, his disability will prevent him from doing his duties!" Shouted the familiar voice of Spike. Shadows blood turned to ice as a two more declines shouted from the crowd, this wasn't right, she can't loose her pup.
"I accept Thicket into Blood Moon." sounded a sweet voice from the dog named Levi.
"I accept Thicket into Blood Moon." Hunter repeated.
Shadow let out a breath of relief, when Angie accepted Thicket. Her pup may be saved.
"Thicket, welcome to Blood Moon. Though you were close to being declined, so when you reach the right age you will become an Omega." He added coldly before touching his muzzle to Thickets head. "You are all dismissed."

After the crowd cleared Thunder padded up to Angie, "Hey Angie, what you did back there was brave, you saved Thicket."
Angie looked at him, "It was the right thing to do. I couldn't bear to see a poor innocent pup left out into the wilderness."
Thunder nodded his head, before glancing around. He had come over here to ask her something else. "Hey um Angie, you know your cool and strange. But I like that, so I was sort of wondering, if you want to be my mate?"
Angie looked at him clearly startled, she kind of liked Thunder he was kind and considerate. "Yes?"
Thunders eyes gleamed with excitement, "Really!"
Angie wagged her tail and gave Thunder an affectionate lick on the cheek, "Yes really."

Blade was walking through the forest heading towards the Sacred Pine, to request a dog from the stars. He was still a bit angry about the ceremony, how could Shadow keep something like that from him, they were mates. Soon after a few more paces he arrived at the tall tree, he took a moment to examine the markings left by twolegs and other dogs. He laid down and touched his nose to the bark and prayed for a strong, fierce Tenderpaw.

Last spoken to ancestors: 15th July

The new shaman had turned out to be a very intelligent, but inpatient cat. Rerria was pleased. He'd be quick to toughen up any whiney dogs they might pick up on the way. She was also pleased that the beta and Irontooth had caught a great big bird, which would come in handy. She'd instructed them to treat the Shaman, Byran, with uttermost respect, and theyd understood. "I have enough herbs to last us for now, so I'm gonna stay here and set up." he said before disappearing into his new den. Rerria turned around to find Juniper and Achilles waiting expectantly. "Hmm?" she said, looking intently at her beta. It was her job now to set up patrols and whatnot, not Rerria's. After a few seconds Juniper realised and let out a startled 'oh' before standing a little straighter. "Well, I think it would be wise to patrol again. Us three. More of us to catch prey and possibly even find other dogs to join us." she suggested. Satisfied, although slightly annoyed that Juniper needed a push, Rerria nodded and lead them out of camp towards the stream, where they would cross and patrol the eastern border.

"York!" Chelsea hurtled across the clearing, barreling into the black and white male. The blue and brown eyed male let out an excited whimper, covering Chelsea's face in licks. Trenton stood several paw-lengths away from them, a confused look on his face. Dayton and Orlando watched the pair, just as confused as their alpha was. Aspen was watching from the fresh-kill pile, her head tilted to the side. Victoria was too busy grooming her pelt to notice the scene in front of them.

"Uh... Chelsea?" Trenton called. Chelsea turned her head to look at him, her tail thumping happily on the ground. "Um... do you know York already?"

"Yes! He lived with the humans that lived in the den next to mine and Aspen's." Chelsea looked fondly up at York, who nuzzled her cheek. "We had just become mates when Aspen and I were left by our humans out here."

Trenton poked his head into the nursery. Florence raised her head, looking at her mate. "You can come in." She whispered. The black dog's eyes widened slightly in surprise before he entered the den. Three pups, two females and a male, wriggled against Florence's stomach, trying to push each other out of the way to get more milk.

"Have you named them yet?" Trenton asked, crouching on the other side of the nest. The lanky brindle she-pup tumbled out of the nest, letting out a squeak. The alpha's eyes softened and he picked her up by her scruff, setting her back at Florence's stomach.

"I named this one." Florence replied, nuzzling the grey and white she-dog. "Her name is Carolina."

Trenton looked at the brindle she-pup that he had just put back into the nest. "Can we call her Juno?" Florence thought for a moment then nodded with a smile.

"And he can be Kent." Florence finished, nuzzling the male pup.

Essex stood at the entrance to his den, watching the reunion of Chelsea and York. When he was certain nobody was looking at him, Essex hurried into his den and back into his herb store. The large dog put the elder leaves and ragwort leaves away into their respective places before eyeing the deadly nightshade he had picked.

This will work just fine...

A small smirk appeared on Essex's face as he tucked the deadly nightshade at the back of the den, hidden safely under oak leaves.

Nobody will know

One moon later..

Logan sat next to the nursery, poking his head in to see Belle and Iris, Iris was finished up the moss and feathers for Belle while she was sleeping, her belly plump with pups, ever since she had found out she had been expecting, she became more feisty, and bossy than usual.. but Logan knew after the pups were born, she'd be her old self again, "How's she doing, Iris?" Logan whispered, "Oh don't worry about her, she's very healthy for a storm like this! You go watch the kennel, I'll stay with her" Iris whispered back, Logan was hesitant for a bit, wanting to stay with Belle a little longer, but he had to get ready for the storm as well, he licked Belle on her cheek and padded out to camp, Solo was poking his head out from the Tenderpaw's Den, while Florida stood next to the entrance, attempting to encourage Solo to come out, "Florida, you and I will do a Hunting Patrol, of Solo keeps acting like this, just leave him till we return" Logan barked, Florida nodded, he and Logan both padded out from camp, "The smell of mud will give you a great hunting advantage" Florida woofed, Logan nodded his agreement, and soon they fell silent
Meanwhile in Belle's dream.. Belle looked fearfully, in front of her stood Olli, Pearl, Jake, and Lucky, all staring her down with pure anger in their eyes, "Belle! You don't deserve pups, you left your own father to die!" growled Olli, Belle shook with nervousness "I was only a weak Tenderpaw! I didn't know what to do.. I'm sorry I really do mean it!" Belle growled, "Sure you are, and I'm a squirrel!" barked Jake, the dogs began closing in on Belle, "Now your leading some kennel? Your lucky they survived this long!" woofed Lucky, striking a paw at Belle, "Belle, you promised to keep our family going as a loner, but you lied.." barked Pearl, soon they were circled around Belle, she whimpered as the dogs leaned over her, barking, spitting on her fur, striking their teeth and claws at her, soon she rose to her paws, opening her eyes and panting, she looked over to Iris, whose eyes were widened, "In sorry I woke you up.. you just kept whimpering and moving around violently" Iris barked, "I'm fine.." Belle barked, she fell back onto her paws, "Iris, how do you tell if a dream was a vision or a normal dream?" asked Belle, "Well.. visions are filled with confusion.. and you will also see real dogs.. dreams are where your the only dog in a strange area you never have been in" Iris barked, "I know what they'll do.. they know that if my pup dies.. I will be happy that they are now a spirit, roaming free from he pain they could have if they lived.. but if they wanted to punish me even more than loosing a pup.. it would be making one miserable.." Belle whispered.

A cool, gentle breeze hit the kangal's back as he took his paw out of the water, signalling the end of his talk with his ancestors. Turning round, two dogs were near the foliage of bushes near the bank, one female and one male. The two looked at eachother for a moment before padding up to Apollo, dipping their heads at him in unison. "Greetings, Alpha. It seems me and my brother have been called upon to serve you and your kennel." The collie spoke, her voice clearly feminine. She held herself in an assertive and attentive position, and Apollo could tell that this was his beta. The two were fit, muscles rippling underneath their coats. "Hello, I am Apollo, the alpha of Valiant Storms. May I acquire of your names?" He asked politely to the two, looking up momentarily as rain stared to fall. "I am Nessie, your new beta, and this is my brother, Ace." The black and white collie said, her chest puffing slightly in pride as she introduced herself as beta, the red Merle male giving a quick nod at his name. Apollo nodded his head, "Good meeting you two, now lets get straight down to business. Ace, you'll be going on a patrol, I'm sure you'll find the scent markers, am I correct?" Apollo spoke with authority, and the brute quickly got up to his paws and nodded his head, opening his maw to speak, "Of course, I'll get to it now, Alpha." He said respectfully, then slinking off into the foliage. Apollo felt a sudden swell of thankfulness, glad that the collie was already on to work. He then turned back to Nessie, who seemed to already have her own plans. "We're to be hunting, correct?" She asked him with a slight tilt of the head, though the female asked it in a way that meant they were hunting. Slightly surprised by this sudden spur of authority, Apollo nodded his head and lead the way, Nessie following by his side.

Lee and Lilly went on for a little walk around the territory to get to know about each other. But rin knew why Lee wanted too. So he laughed and shook it off.

After some days nothing went on really. Lee and Lilly went hunting together as Rin rest. Lilly and Lee started to fall in love. Now they are mates. Rin was happy for them as it was a new pack around here.

"Rin?" As Lee walked in rins den as he looked up at him wagging his tail a little. Rin nodded, "I'm going hunting for a little, So i'll be back." He said as rin nodded and Lee wagged his tail one more time walking out side too see Lilly looking down at some plants as he rubbed his cheek onto hers saying 'Good bye'.

The rain was not heavy for Lee but he was okay with it.

Weather Report: It is bitterly cold thanks to the strong winds and heavy rain. This storm is dangerous and dogs can't see very far ahead of them without squinting. It is wise to keep your dogs in camp to wait out the storm or risk them getting hurt, prey most likely won't be out in this weather and neither are predators. Though dogs will come across your camp as they look for shelter, some are not friendly so beware! Pups, Elders and Tenderpaws are weak in this weather and should rest if they can.

OOC: If you have less than five dogs you do not need to worry about this brutal storm. For you guys it is just a light rain and not as dangerous so you can go ahead and send your dogs out for the regular stuff. Unless you want this brutal weather? Please say so in the bottom of your post, where you say what your dogs are doing. AGAIN! Only if you have 5 or less dogs.

"Where you going Pebble?" Stitches barked as he watched the terrier trot off with a vole.

Pebble turned around and looked at him "I am off to feed my family, it will be the first time they had fresh meat and I can't wait-" he was cut off by the Boston terrier who barked a quick "Watch out!" but it was to late. The feral dog attacked the Cairn terrier viciously, leaving a wound on his shoulder before it took his vole and ran off into the territory.

Rowdy finds catmint and Alder Bark before the storm hits.
Pebble, Pie, Stitches and Starkie catch four voles before the storm reaches them.
On their way back to camp Pebble is attacked by a feral dog that wants the vole he was carrying. They managed to take it from him and run off into the territory.(You can let them be or search for the dog to chase him out but Pebble needs Cobweb for his bleeding and chervil to prevent infection.)

Kodiak looks up just as the rain started to fall harder, his pelt was soaked now. He looked over at his shaman and saw the same thing. "We should head back to camp, I don't want us to get sick and our herb supply is kind of low." Parker barked with worry.

Kodiak nodded and respected the decision, though he hoped Charlie was doing better than they were. "These storms mean the cold days are coming, maybe you should work on your herb supply?" Kodiak started the conversation as they headed back to camp, unaware of what lies for them there.

Charlie catches two small birds and a mouse.
Kodiak and Parker have no luck on their search.
Back at camp there are two dogs, eating your kennel's squirrel.(You can chase them out or have them join, but you lost a squirrel)

"Great job Athena." Ares praised his tenderpaw on the way back to camp "Though we need to head back to camp now, this storm is looking pretty bad and we don't need the injuries." he commanded. Athena stayed hidden behind her mentor, unsure what to do as she just watched.

"I mean no harm! I just need shelter and maybe some food." The stranger whimpered as he looked at the caught prey already. They had manors though and knew not to take without permission if it wasn't theirs. The Shepard's body language was non-threatening as he avoided Ares' gaze.

Deimos and Ares come across a potential beta.
Ares teaches Athena the endurance skill.
Once Ares and Athena get back to camp they find a dog waiting.(You can chase them away or ask them to join.)
