history and animals probably? when it came to history, i remember being obsessed with lewis and clark... and in 2024 i have what i have dubbed "the lewis and clark wall" so you can probably guess how far that interest went. i was also crazy into the civil war, that has dulled a bit but i still like it. i also like animals, let's just say that i'm a fisheries & wildlife major. and a history major.

v what's your newest hobby? how'd you get into it?

I've honestly been doing the same three hobbies for years: video games, drawing, and writing. I guess drawing is the 'newest', since I started in ~2018 (as opposed to the other two, where I've been doing them pretty much since I learnt how to read/write). I got into drawing because I really loved Dappervolk's art style, and I wanted to make similar art. I ended up going in quite a different direction style-wise, although I would still call my style painterly.

im usually hit or miss w southern food but i do love some beans & cornbread
u gotta throw in some freshly chopped onions & ketchup, crumble the cornbread up into the soup
bonus points if it’s jalapeño cornbread + collard greens + fried okra on the side too
my mom makes it the best, i grew up eating it all the time, can’t be beat
it’s something i could eat w my family even after i became vegetarian so that’s also a big plus :-)
bc usually when i lived at home i would just make my own food or not eat lol

every time i rewatch it i find out more of my other fav media has taken inspiration from it or referenced it in some way which is SO cool (silent hill, gravity falls, psych, soul eater, etc)

v what is the strangest thing that’s ever happened to u or the strangest thing you’ve ever dreamed?

The strangest thing that's ever happened to me is how I broke my hand (which was only a year ago). I was dancing in my room thinking of a compelling scenario of an OC of mine. I was blasting music and I was totally into it until I accidentally crashed my hand against the wall. After the pain didn't go away I knew something wasn't right and an hour later I learned that my hand was broken... All because of my vividly overactive imagination. I tell strangers that I simply just fell but I think the CS community would understand what really happened lol

Despite my blue themed profile, my favorite color is actually orange! I think it is certainly a very underrated color overall, too many people hate on it.

I can’t eat regular ice cream due to being the weakest link (lactose intolerant) but I love pumpkin pie halo top. Tastes the closest to real ice cream without the major consequences.

^ I will HAVE to give a listen. I love good music- and that doesn’t just mean popular. If the lyrics, sound, tone resonate beautifully it is an out of body experience. Also I am sorry for your loss </3 Boo batter ice cream sounds delectable.

I don’t really use candles aside from the odd citronella one to ward off mosquitoes. Though years ago my mum used to have one that was something like coffee/chocolate scented which did smell good

^ Is lactose intolerant. Funny enough I used to be my entire life until one day I just made the conscious decision to start tolerating lactose and somehow I’ve never had an issue with it ever since. Power of the mind.. or something
