Waspthroat enjoyed clan life. Prey was offered at many occasions, and his nest was always clean. In return, he was able to tell annoying stories to the cats who disrespected him behind his back, and play mossball with the kits, apprentices and even Pansypetal while she was stuck in her nest. It felt much better to be part of a group and share their accomplishments.

"Waspthroat, how did you catch the squirrel?" Falconpaw meowed, his whiskers quivering in pleasure. He had been telling the grey tom the story of how he had scaled a massive tree to catch a squirrel, and it warmed his heart to see the young cat so happy. "I wish I could climb like that," Fernpaw breathed, exchanging an excited glance with her denmate. "I darted along the branch as it began to creak, my paws outstretched-" the old cat paused, watching the apprentices' faces light up with wonder. "Come on Waspthroat! What happened next?" Falconpaw meowed, digging his claws into the earth. "Please wait, Falconpaw, or he'll wait even longer!" Fernpaw whispered, ducking her head to Waspthroat.
"Clan meeting for warrior ceremonies! What are you listening to Fernpaw? Some elder's tale?" Poppypaw meowed, her eyes glinting at her littermate. "We're coming! And leave Fernpaw alone Poppypaw. Waspthroat too, if you bothered to listen then you might not be so annoying!" Falconpaw's claws were sliding out now, his eyes narrowed. Poppypaw left the den, snorting just before she was out of earshot.

"CherryClan, all cats old enough to see the forest gather round this Bird Perch for a meeting!" Campionstar called, his eyes bright with happiness. Beepaw, Hawkpaw, Oakpaw, Birchpaw and Pearpaw had their heads raised the the leader, their eyes flickering with emotions of happiness, excitement and anxiety. "You have done well my kits, and you too Pearpaw. The clan is honoured to have such fine cats. Continue to work hard from here, to make your entire clan proud," Honeystripe meowed fondly, touching the apprentices' noses with her tail tip. She smiled as she watched them gather in front of Campionstar's Bird Perch, followed by their fellow clanmates as they all realised what was going on. The clan was growing stronger and into more of a community, and she was sure that more cats would join them to make it an even happier place, the thought as she saw them talking excitedly,

"Beepaw, Hawkpaw, Oakpaw, Birchpaw and Pearpaw, you have trained hard to follow in the pawsteps of our ancestors, and with your mentors' confirmation I'm sure you will be an even greater asset to CherryClan as warriors," Campionstar began, his eyes meeting Honeystripe's as she watched her kits and her apprentice become what they had dreamed of since they were kits. "Do you promise to devote your life to serve and protect the clan?" Campionstar continued brightly, his blue and orange eyes bright as he spoke the words of the ancient ceremony. "I do!" All five cats promised, ready to accept their new names. "Beepaw, the whole clan has seen your determination to become a great warrior and your skill, and we welcome you as Beeheart." Campionstar announced first, welcoming her before moving onto her littermates. "Hawkpaw, for your bravery in the unknown and speed, we welcome you as Hawkbreeze, a warrior the entire clan can rely on." The white leader was clearly referencing how, as Hawkpaw, he had found Pearpaw by following his scent no matter what was happening, as well as pointing out where Coppermask and Skipperflame where last moon. "Oakpaw, for your kindness and enthusiasm that the clan admires, you shall be known as Oakpounce," the young tabby nodded, his eyes burning with energy. "Birchpaw, in honour of your honesty and patience with every cat you meet, your new name shall be Birchgaze," her dark blue eyes shining in pleasure, Birchgaze glanced at her friend Fritillarywing, and sat next to her former mentor Pinebranch. Campionstar beckoned Pearpaw with his tail and addressed the golden tom last."Pearpaw, for your forethought and compassion for others in need before your own needs, your warrior name shall be Pearcloud. CherryClan knows the five of you will become excellent warriors, and this is your next step." Campionstar dipped his head to the five young cats, and the clan cats started to congratulate them, but the leader lifted his tail for silence.

"I would like to be the first deputy of CherryClan this moon. For those of you who don't know what a deputy is, they serve as the one I consult for my decisions and as the one who sorts out patrols, and will have already had an apprentice," the white tom explained, looking down on his clan with a smile as he serveyed the curiosity displayed on the faces in the camp. Coppermask and Skipperflame exchanged mystified glances, and looked around with bated breath. "The first deputy to ever serve under a leader of CherryClan will be Honeystripe. Your courage and responsibility has been seen by every member of the clan, and I'm sure you can handle it without any problems!" he yowled, and Honeystripe's whiskers twitched in surprise. "I... I would be pleased to serve as your deputy Campionstar, and thank you for the honour," the tabby dipped her head in pleasure, most of her clanmates rushing up to greet her as the first deputy to serve CherryClan.

Pansypetal padded out of the medicine den on uncertain paws, once again delighted by the calm of the forest and the eager celebrations of the first deputy of CherryClan, as well as the new warriors. "Congratulations Honeystripe!" she greeted her friend, her tail waving in greeting. "You're allowed out of the medicine cat den now? Congratulations should really go to you, the entire clan will be happy to see you on your paws," the new deputy meowed modestly, happy for Pansypetal. Upon seeing her, the clan stared and meowed their greetings also. Pansypetal glanced towards Rainfall, hoping for some acknowledgement after that morning when he had first told her she could begin to walk around camp. Instead, the pale brown tabby was watching Minnowfrost as she lay in the sun near the nursery, her tail curled around her side as she rested: the two were mates despite the rules in the warrior code, and Pansypetal was the only one who knew after hearing them talking in the medicine den, and now the mostly white she-cat was expecting his kits any day now. Looking away, she found herself face to face with Pinebranch. "You can walk now? Pansypetal, I'm happy for you!" the serious brown tom broke into a purr, so delighted now that she was on the mend after her leg had been caught in a fox trap. Pansypetal nodded."I can only walk around CherryClan's camp for now though," she added, very grateful for the medicine cat's care: without it, she would have lost the use in her leg. Pansypetal was irritated by the recovery, but all the same was still thankful.

Even the low anger residing in camp over Stumpykit's name broke way to excitement as cats waited for Shellpaw to return from her assessment. Pantherstar himself had joined the group of warriors tailing the apprentice. Finally, shortly after sun-high, an excited ball of pure fluff bolted into the camp beaming like a ray of pure sun.
Shellpaw, had passed.

Slate and Akoya had left near sunrise, and by the time they re-entered the camp, looking scruffed up a bit but quite happy, Horreur flicked his tail for Akoya to speak with him. She nodded, dismissing her trainee who padded off tiredly towards his sleeping area. "Report." Horreur said, watching the young one stumble slightly. "We trained in battle," Akoya said, smiling "He did quite well, I believe he'll make an excellent warrior someday if he keeps his offensive skills up like this. I was thinking on doing a bit more, and then perhaps switching to defense. I managed to get past him several times with a number of rolls, so he will need some extra time there."

The king nodded "Very well. You are excused."

Bluemoon lifted her head as she looked around the clearing. It was small, shadows looming into it, and the wolf-scent was heavy. But, at the same time, there was the scent of cat. The thought of what she might find ran a shiver down the wise she-cat's spine. Wolves were dangerous beasts, and could spell disaster, especially if it was in a pack. But as she crept past the clearing, the wolf began to give way to cat...curious.

A few heart-beats later, a female voice hissed "who are you?" and a cat with a bobbed tail emerged from the shadows. "I am Bluemoon, leader of the Indovina." Bluemoon replied, relaxing slightly at the sight of the cat, but still concerned since wolf-scent was very clear still. Was this cat unable to scent? "Why are you here? Both in my territory, and at the heart of wolves?" The cat blinked at her, then her eyes widened. "Ohhhhh, the great gray mother." she shook her head "There were wolves here, but the death of a nursing female scared them off, at least, that's what I think. They left behind the cub, and...well..." she took a step to the side, revealing a nest with three kittens, and a larger, silvery gray and brown form.
