Torpaw and Mishciefpaw trained. Graypaw, Spotpaw, Gingerpaw do their assessments again. Buzzpaw becomes an apprentice and will be trained by frostwing. all apprentices train.
duskwing and quickflash decide to allow mudear to use the tansy and honey. however there's not enough herbs for them all.
gingerpaw and stormwhisker look for herbs.
woodtail takes spotpaw, graypaw, eicko, gingerfur and bramblecloud on a hunting patrol.

As the cold begins to creep in, the new clan struggles to find a way to survive. With new kits crawling about and not many warriors for the clan, it is growing harder to even stand clan mates. Shadowstar, cold as usual, leaves before any others wake while the warriors help each other and the apprentice. That is, all but Frostfoot. She acts similar to Shadowstar, leaving quickly and without a word then avoiding contact upon returning, but she at least wakes with the others. All these secretive cats in the clan make it hard to trust. At least Mudpatch and Reedface are good friends by now.

It’s short, yes, but I’m working on it!

Today was the day. The worst day, possibly, of Timberpaw's life. He had pretended to be all smiles this morning, seeing Slatefang off on her first mentor training with Daisypatch. He knew that Slatefang was mostly in charge; Daisypatch was a little too nervous for her own good, though she got the quieter and sweeter of the two sisters that were the newest apprentices of ShiningClan. Timberpaw was happy to hear that, despite being a very new warrior, Slatefang got her own apprentice as well. Her chest was inflated with pride when her father assigned the two young cats to mentors, giving on to her, and he could see the ambition in her eyes. She wanted to do well.

And so Timberpaw watched her leave, not sad, at least not right off the bat.

But now, it was evening. Birchstorm had just left with a patrol to go and disband the rogues he said were with Shadow, and of course Slatefang volunteered to go, despite knowing that this was going to be dangerous. Originally, Scorchstar was going to leave the patrol up to Birchstorm and Cricketheart, but after learning of his daughter's intentions (no matter what he told her) he decided he would be second in command behind Birchstorm instead. To Timberpaw's surprise, Birchstorm watched the small argument go down with only a small twitch of his tail - he found it slightly amusing, yet irritating, that the two were arguing. He had shifted on his paws a couple times, indicating he just wanted to leave. Eventually, they did, and Timberpaw watched Slatefang go with the three warrior siblings, her father, and Appleclaw. The strongest cats ShiningClan had, at the moment.

There was nothing left to do but wait. Wait until the large patrol came back, and he could only hope that there were no injuries that he and Nettleblaze would have to treat.

Birchstorm ignored the talks that were going on behind him; he had no time for it. Having been given permission by Scorchstar to lead the patrol, he set them on a brisk pace - glad that none of the older warriors, besides Scorchstar himself, had come. At the very least, Scorchstar could keep up. That was more than what Birchstorm could say for the larger ginger warrior in the Clan, the one he did not like at all. He was a bumbling idiot, and he never seemed to do much right. Perhaps the older tom was just too awkward for Birchstorm's liking.

At the very least, a part of him was glad he and his siblings stumbled upon this Clan. He hadn't seen Cherryheart so animated in a long time, and Junipersplash seemed to truly be soaking up the social aspects of the Clan. For Birchstorm, he was glad of the chance to fight, and have reason to fight. While he couldn't say he truly cared for most of his Clanmates, a few were tolerable, and certainly his siblings were close to him. He fought for them, and had strong cats to fight alongside now too, not just his siblings. Drifting off into his own thoughts, Birchstorm even wondered if he would be able to settle down in ShiningClan, and start his own family...

He was shaken out of his thoughts when Scorchstar came up beside him, keeping stride with him despite his shorter legs. "Birchstorm," the leader began, alert and looking forward into the field. "How many rogues did you say were with the cat you encountered?"

Birchstorm slowed a tiny bit so he could talk. "Excluding the cat, I scented four others. Five total," he said shortly, nodded towards the fields. "They were in the far edge of the field, setting up a small makeshift camp in a small cove made by the roots of a fallen tree."

Scorchstar's eyes narrowed. "Thank you," he mumbled after a short pause. "Do you know if this cat was trying to recruit more?"

"He wanted us to join him," Birchstorm admitted, looking back over his shoulder at his brother and sister as he walked. Cherryheart had just tripped over seemingly nothing, much to the amusement of Junipersplash and Slatefang, the young warrior that accompanied them. Appleclaw, the final member of their patrol, walked slightly off to the side from the others, but a small smirk played at the sides of his mouth because of Cherryheart. "But we declined, leaving his makeshift camp shortly after. Not before he told us his plans to find his small brother, which was lucky for us."

"Timberpaw..." Scorchstar said, shaking his head. "Thank you for your help, Birchstorm. You are an asset to this Clan and you haven't even been here that long."

Birchstorm inclined his head slightly to acknowledge Scorchstar's thanks, though he said nothing. These cats still befuddled him, and he wasn't the most excited to receive praise from a cat he barely knew and barely respected. That would take time.

"We'd better keep to the cover of trees; we're getting close," the next cat said. Cherryheart had taken the lead, nodding to the treeline on the side of the field. "We might want to try and talk to them first, but we should stay in cover in case they fight us. We're all better trained at fighting under cover and with foliage," the rest of the cats nodded, as Birchstorm and Cherryheart walked side by side into the cover of trees.

"It's right up there," Birchstorm said softly, Junipersplash's and Cherryheart's nods agreeing. Scorchstar stopped the patrol, turning to Birchstorm for strategy points. The tom tilted his head slightly, surprised, though he didn't argue. "If we want to talk, only a couple should go up to them first. The other four should split off into twos; one group on each side. The back and the right should be more vulnerable than the left or front, so I'd wait there. I don't know your fighting styles to split you up, or who you want to send to talk, Scorchstar."

Scorchstar nodded, eyes blazing and becoming more serious. "I will be trying to talk. I want to bring Cherryheart with me, if that's alright." A nod from the ginger tom. "Slatefang and Appleclaw, you'll take the back. Birchstorm and Junipersplash, the right."

A nod from each member of the party. Scorchstar turned, narrowing his eyes and unsheathing his claws, kneading the ground a little bit with his claws. Small clumps of dirt formed at his feet. The cats behind Scorchstar slipped off into the forest, each going their respective way. Cherryheart stayed by Scorchstar's side, and the two toms nodded to each other, starting forward once the other groups disappeared into the foliage of the trees.

Deerstar watched Amberlight and her kits play in the clearing, purring softly. Glancing around at her clan, she smiled glad to see how far they've come since she started the clan in the snowy mountains. "I'm actually surprised nothing has really happened," she meowed. "The only issue we had was with a fox attack and we handle that with a little help," she meowed to Amberlight. "Our clan is growing stronger each moon and we've received new warriors from all over and we're all functioning as a team," she meowed.

Amberlight nodded to Deerstar. "You've come a long way with this clan," she meowed. "Still StarClan only knows what will happen even if you and our medicine cats can get an advance warning at times, sometimes they cannot give us any warning," she meowed, seeing her leader nod. "Do you miss being able to lead?" she asked.

"I do, but Powderbreeze has been doing wonderful," Deerstar replied, tail flicking. "Why don't you join a patrol while I watch the kits?" she asked. "They're eating fresh-kill now, so I don't see why you can't join a patrol every once in awhile," she explained to the other queen.

Glass clan is a very peaceful clan. They don't believe in violence, and they think that any argument can be ended without violence. Prey is only killed to be eaten, and no food should be wasted. This clan is made mostly out of cats that aren't very tough, so their is a specific group of cats that learn to fight & protect Glass clan from predators, called protectors.

Glass clan's territory is mostly made out of a field. There are tall grasses surrounding the main base. A small clearing is in the middle of these grasses where all the dens are held. The dens are all made of burrows, which is a mound of hard, dry dirt scraped out with an entrance. However, the nursery is actually a very large log with the ends covered up sticks and mud. A large forest, where most of the prey is found, surrounds the little meadow. There is a sacred pond along the edge of the camp, where cats go to pray to Star clan.

Glass clan's cats are usually short-haired, with some occasional long-hairs. Glass clan cats are also usually lighter colors with maybe some darker cats.

The weather for Glass clan is a little different than an average clan. During leafbare, it often hardly snows at all, but the temperatures can get very cold. When it is greenleaf, the grasses around camp grow extra long and can go above some cats heads.

Glass Clan has it's name for a reason. A long time ago during leafbare, the sacred pond, which was called the little pond at the time. froze all the way over. At the time, a mysterious illness was spreading through the camp with no cure. Some cats had already died, and many were close to death. A medicine cat decided to stop trying to find a cure, and instead prayed to Star clan over this frozen pond. The pond looked exactly like glass. The next day, the medicine cat found a cure for the sickness! This cat thanked Star clan, and from that day on, the clan was called Glass clan.

The prey for Glass Clan are: mice, vole, rabbit, squirrel, frogs, and hares.
