Greenleaf- The sun is shining.... too hotly. The weather is clear, with no clouds in the sky, and the prey is also feeling the heat. Most stay in their burrows waiting for the sun to start setting. Drinking sources are getting scarce - be sure to keep hydrated during the hottest time of day. The warm days of Greenleaf will soon be moving aside to let in the colder days of Leaffall.

"when can we see father?" arumwillow glanced up at the small, quiet voice that belonged to one of her daughter's, marie. the chocolate-point kit tilted her head slightly, her fur ruffled from the wrestling match with her twin brother sobek. she held back a sigh and a grimace before shifting uncomfortably. one of the other queens in the nursery, her bestfriend hemlockbud, tossed a moss ball in front of marie. she squealed in delight before batting it around and getting into another tussle with her brother. arumwillow was not a constant queen, so the little time she spent in the nursery felt claustrophobic and made her antsy.
"they miss him," hemlockbud commented quietly, stroking arumwillow with her tail gently.
"they aren't the only ones," the pointed molly answered under her breath, resting her chin on her paws.
"i'm moving out of the nursery," the lynx point murmured, her eyes blinking slowly. "it's time i return to warrior's duties, anyways. i only really stayed to help diamond, but, even she returned to the warriors den." the two mollies sat in silence for a moment before arumwillow nodded and followed marie as she tumbled out of the den. sobek, euryale, and eidothea watched their mother before following suit, deciding they couldn’t be left out. once outside arumwillow noticed diamond, her mother with cleopatra and bayek; her twin siblings from another litter. haloe, a cat with a strange accent and even stranger traditions, was sitting by diamond faithfully, already attached at the hip. arumwillow shifted uncomfortably as she watched her mother lean into the tom whenever she spoke and eben from here, the sleek furred molly could hear the rolling purr coming from diamond’s cream throat. part of her felt like she should be happy for her mother but another part of her loathed haloe. that should be luxx sitting next to her. she blinked rapidly as small paws touched her own and she looked down to see her little euryale with wide eyes and a pouty face.
“sobek stole the moss ball from us and won’t give it back.” he huffed, his tiny round ears pinned to his head. arumwillow chuckled mildly as she watched euryale’s stumpy tail flick.
“sobek! share with your sisters and your brother!” arumwillow meowed sternly, meeting his eye. he looked up innocently before nonchlantly dropping the moss ball and kicking it to eidothea. bayek padded over with a smile on his muzzle and greeted his older sister with an affectionate head bump.
“i can watch them for a little. i’m not due until the dusk patrol.” he suggested, recieving a grateful look from arumwillow.
“i’ll help you, since i promised bellamy i’d watch thalassa, tethys, triton, thaumas, and xelane i promised i could distract eligius, eliza, luke, and leia.” the queen meowed, chuckling as bayek’s eyes widened. “what, you don’t think i can handle twelve kits? oh you don’t even know half the adventures i’ve had.” arumwillow expressed.

wanheda glanced at her daughter with a concerned look as blodreina hissed in anger. leksa flinched away from her anger and ducked her head, copying the move perfectly that she’d been trying to learn since sun-up. foxberry rested near the clearing, watching like a very tense hawk. the only other natblidas, onya and luna, were in a quiet conversation with each other. the heavily scarred black tabby looked up at the crowd and sighed softly, her eyes only on her daughter, blodreina, as she spoke. “the conclave next moon decides the fate of our lives.” this made only one of the warriors tense up, which was blodreina. she had not been trained her whole life to get into an arena and fight to the death - but wanheda had been and in return she had personally trained onya to fight and she had raised leksa on the battle field. foxberry was taught by skairipa who had been trained by wanheda, which meant he knew what his blood entailed him to do long before he’d been weaned of his mother’s milk. then there was luna: a conclave survivor who had refused to fight and kill, ostracizing her from all the cats who believed that to flee was cowardice and that cowardice was a betrayal. but these five cats had all grown up together, one way or another, and they would have to kill each other if the natblidas from other clans didn’t first. wanheda had heard of a cat named flash who podakru had not only speed but also brute strength and a ruthless mindset. other than that, she had no idea what other natblidas there were. but, there was hope yet. if the rest of the cats were willing to concede, there would be no death or murder among azgeda warriors. “we go into the conclave - all five of us - and we tell them that the old way to choose commander’s is over. that there can be a new way; a new life. peace - like floukru was trying to do.” of the five, wanheda was the most skeptical. blood taking blood and revenge was the only life she’d ever known; changing that seemed radical. but she had a daughter and though she didn’t doubt leksa’s skills, she would do anything to protect her. not to mention the tom that leksa loved so much - foxberry - whose soul was so gentle that wanheda couldn’t believe he was a natblida. onya was nodding and staring at luna with a soft conviction, her fur raising along her spine and her bright blue eyes wide. “it will work.” luna said, her eyes locking with wanheda. the savannah glanced away uncomfortably, her heart thumping inside her chest. was this what bekka pramheda really wanted?

skairipa casted a loving glance at her mate niylah and bounded over to her from the other side of the healer’s den. niylah chuckled but pushed her away, attempting to reorganize leaves that skairipa’s bound had scattered. serana glanced at them amusedly, her paralyzed legs slouched behind her uselessly. alysia, niylah’s first apprentice who had recently become a full healer, yawned obnoxiously and flicked niylah and skairipa with her tail irritably. “take it outside!” she grumbled, her calico colors shining against the beight sun leaking through the broken stone walls. the lynx point and oriental calico she-cat exchanged and amused glance before they left the den together, tails entwined.
“have you been by to see waverly yet?” niylah asked, referring to the two cat’s adopted daughter. only the healer and her mate knew that waverly’s true parent was queen nia and a tom other than king atohl - which had raised alarms. desperate to hide her infedelity, queen nia forced niylah to adopt the kit; but the pair of she-cats had grown to love waverly as if she was their biological daughter. since then, waverly had a kit; alderpaw, who she refused to reveal the father of.
“no, but i did see alderpaw. he’s happy.” skai told her mate, yawning slightly as she blinked against the setting sun.
“that’s good. he’s one of the brightest seconds, i’m sure.” niylah boasted about her grandson.
“i still feel old,” the lynx point admitted, her blue eyes softening as they landed on some of the kits from the nursery playing. niylah’s gaze flitted from the kits back to skai and she touched her with her tail gently, leaning closer to her.
“we could have kits,” niylah suggested boldly. “again,” she added. skai quickly turned her head to look back at her mate, a small smile across her muzzle.
“yeah?” skai asked. “i’d like to.”

here in this jungle, xio axum, the process of survival isn't the easiest, and most days revolve around li
ving and dying. you either adapt or die, your blood will just be wasted and your story will quickly be f
orgotten within a matter of days. the sun beats down on everyone in the grasslands and the predators
like to lurk within the trees. no matter where you go or what you do, your life is always endangered...

a lionblood is a particular feral, domestic house cat, classified as felis catus, that is affiliated with a l
arge collection of cats that are known as, well, the lionbloods. they get their alias from demonstratin
g the various traits of a lion, panthera leo. they are ferocious and vicious yet they are all connected t
o one another in families and close bonds. they are currently the only known feral house cats that roa
m the jungle and grassland without being under the ownership of a human. in fact, a lionblood would
highly discourage the idea of ownership and humans, they hold no respect for other felines that are a
ctually tame and domesticated───accepting a house cat into the alliance would taint their bloodline
and it is considered a foul and ignorant thing to do. the lionbloods reside in the mere heart of xio axu

the lionbloods have a simple yet complicated hierarchy;
everything is divided into groups called classes. there ar
e currently four classes known within the alliance. the f
irst class is the paramount class, which includes cats wit
h high ranks, the leaders included, and their family mem
bers. those with high class, as expected, have high privil
ege and they can usually get by anything without bad pu
nishment from the leaders. sometimes, even the high cl
ass have the right of killing off another cat──though thi
s cat would have to have done something wrong in order
to be victim of such crime. some within this class are als
o allowed to lead a court and help out with any other iss
ues within the alliance. the second class is, well, the mi
ddle class──the regular members that are also importan
t to the well-being of the entire alliance. each and every
cat within this class is assigned a particular role that the
y are deemed excel in──whether it be warriors, hunters
or guardians. they listen to their higher classed fellows,,,
but they do not take orders from the lower classed.───

the last common class is the lowly ones.. these c
ats aren't really allowed to do much besides their
measly jobs that they are stuck with.. these cats
are thought to be unruly,, and are just picked wi
th by the higher and more sophisticated classes..
if a cat is born within this class,, they are usually
stuck with it if they are not able to prove their u
nseen worth to the alliance───they are allowed
to train in whatever field they want, and they ca
n try and earn a middle classed rank in the trials.
this class of cats are also sort of divided from the
other cats in terms of living, they live a bit furthe
r away and are mostly solitary unless called into t
he heart of the domain if they are needed.────

Timberpaw had been following Nettleblaze through the forest since dawn. The sun was nearly at its highest point now, though Timberpaw did not feel any amount of boredom as a result of doing the same thing for a long period of time. He felt at ease, surrounded by finding patches of the things he loved. He and Nettleblaze had already gathered a couple of herbs, storing them at the camp and coming back out to see how the rest of them were growing. Timberpaw was glad that he was apprenticed to an intelligent cat like Nettleblaze; he had kept track of where the important herbs were, watching them grow. Today, after looking through the small patches of herbs, they were out to find new herb patches. Nettleblaze didn't think they would collect any today, but he was testing Timberpaw on his herb knowledge.

It had been a good day. Nothing was going wrong, Timberpaw had gotten nearly all the herbs right, though a few he didn't understand because he had never encountered them. It was nice to be able to stretch his legs, too, since he was usually inside the camp making sure no one needed him. That wasn't to say he hated his job, it was just he wished he was in the forest more. Nettleblaze had understood this when he confided in the older cat, and said that once he was a little older one of them could leave and just leave the other in the camp and it would be ok. Timberpaw accepted that answer, his sense of adventure glowing inside of him.

"Alright, Timberpaw, I think it's time we head back so we can make sure no one needs us back at camp. We've already been gone longer than I intended." Nettleblaze had stopped at the edge of the border, the one that separated ShiningClan from the large field, where the strange animals were grazing on the other side. "You've done well today," Nettleblaze added, his warm eyes glowing with pride and adoration for the young tom.

Timberpaw purred and nodded, thanking Nettleblaze with a swift nod. He was glad they were heading back, as the day was starting to get hotter, and he did miss the rest of the cats in the camp. Timberpaw had realized, that on his long journey with Shadow, he missed the presence of other cats the most. Now, being in a Clan with so many other cats, he felt like he could live again.

As Nettleblaze turned, Timberpaw gave one last sweeping look at the field... and saw something that made his heart skip a beat. A larger black shape, roughly the size of a cat, was trotting across the field. Timberpaw stared in horror as the cat came closer, stopped to sniff the air, and turned his head just enough that he locked eyes with Timberpaw. The black cat narrowed his eyes into a glare before turning tail and running into the treeline, away from ShiningClan territory.

There was no mistaking it, in Timberpaw's eyes. It had to have been Shadow. He couldn't believe that somehow his half-brother's journey had brought him here, the same place that Timberpaw happened to settle. He could only hope that Shadow would want to move on, and not get curious about the Clan.

But, Timberpaw had a bad feeling in his gut as he turned and ran to catch up to Nettleblaze.

the cats of fernweh are a curious bunch, with their heads in the clouds and their hearts set wherever adventure might be found. they're usually among the first to dive headfirst into a dangerous situation, typically with no sense of self-preservation.

fernweh's territory lies just tail-lengths away from the secluded entrance to an underground cave system that these cats call "the triad of stars." while their territory is mostly forested - covered in moss and various brush, with small dens underneath a few mildly uprooted trees - it rests comfortably in front of a cave entrance that tunnels underneath to a strange, ice-covered pool that is said to be eternally frozen by starclan. there are three cracks at the roof of the cave, shaped like that of a triangle, where light peeks through and shines down on the ice pool. it forms a large triangle, where it is said that if you are to sit in the center of it, sleep will overtake you in mere heartbeats, and you will be able to speak to starclan.

xxxxit seemed that the recent apprentice ceremony
left the clan in a tense state, though one of the sides
was quite outnumbered, and all eyes turned on sweet
feather, and sweetfeather had no-one to glare at
except for when he looked at his new apprentice, sun
paw.
xxxxof course they all hate me, sweetfeather thought.
one of the youngest cats to get an apprentice, all
because they think i'm alpinestar's favorite. blame me
all you want, but i deserve this opportunity. the tom
constantly felt all of the fire from the harsh gazes of his
clanmates, and he had nothing to do but ignore it. ever
since he recieved an apprentice, the entire clan turned
on him, except for onyxstone, cormorant, and sedge
feather. and they were well-respected in laurelclan, so
sweetfeather didn't have to worry about any of his clan
mates making any efforts to harm him with any means
other than words, and even then, he always made sure
to stick around with one of his friends to avoid any poss
ible conflicts.
