[ Becoming apprentices: Dewkit, Russetkit, Otterkit, & Brightkit
Patrol: Patchthorn, Dustfall, Frostpath, Cloudtalon, Daisyskip, & Frigidrose
Hunting: Ashenclaw, Honeydapple, Stormbreeze, Foxpounce, Birchwing, & Crowstorm
Herb hunting: Appleheart ]
Hearts beating with anticipation and eyes shining with excitement, the four could scarecly breathe as they climbed the high rock. ''Dewkit, Russetkit, Otterkit and Brightkit, from this day forth, until you get your warrior names, you will be known as Dewpaw,
Russetpaw, Otterpaw and Brightpaw.'' Emberstar called out, looking down at the four new apprentices. She then proceeded to call out the names of their mentors.
The four kittens are now apprentices, you may choose the mentors!
Crowstorm could hear Birchwing and Foxpounce snickering away, talking of his love for Daisyskip. Fur bristling it was all he could do to ignore the two. ''Oh, shush you two.'' chided Honeydapple, staring at them sternly. ''Don't be like that.'' Thankfully for Crowstorm they did shut up and thankfully for Ashenclaw he could focus on catching a rook.
They caught a rook, a mouse and a pigeon.
The patrol went through the territory silently, waiting with bated breath for some cat to leap out at them. All but Patchthorn and Frigidrose. ''Calm down, we're scary enough.'' grumbled the white and black tom. Frigidrose nodded wordlessly, her sharp icy eyes searching the surroundings. ''Just keep your eyes...or in Daisyskip's case eye peeled.'' This jibe didn't go unnoticed by Daisyskip and she could not help but shrink back anxiously. She was still sore about her lost eye and would rather that nobody talked about it.
Dustfall and Cloudtalon noticed, sharing sympathetic looks at her. Those were short lived looks as a bristly furred rogue pounced on an unaware Frostpath.
Frostpath has been injured by a rogue, cobweb, poppy seed and Marigold will be needed!
Appleheart carefully picked his way through the territory, paws light and cautious as he tip-toed to a patch of wild garlic. That'd help with ratbites, he thought picking a couple of wild garlic. Suddenly a new scent caught his nose, thyme.

The early Leaf-fall reminds everyone the season is changing with mildly chilly wind and most of the herbs, particularly flowers, disappearing, some sooner than others
Gustclan - Chamrosh wrote:Droserakit bundled down lower fall of the two-leg nest and jumped up through the flap. It was his first time outside, and he already felt bad for leaving his brother behind, so he jumped straight back in. Shellkit seemed to know instantly what Droserakit wanted, but also confused.
“Come on! It’ll be fun. We can explore, mum doesn’t know where we’ve gone yet!” Reluctantly, Shellkit followed his brother outside, murmering about how they’d get into trouble, and how Mum had to say when they could go outside. They both jumped through the fin, one after the other, Shellkit staying close to his brother- or at least, staying close for a second before seeing the thick undergrowth at one side of camp and walking over to stare at the flowers, and play with how they work. Almost without thinking, he tore a leaf off one of them, and started kneading it beneath his paws.
“Do you want to play catch the leaf?” Droserakit tore off another leaf, and held it up in his mouth, and tossed it to his brother. Shellkit put one paw on it, and dragged it over to him, not leaving his first leaf. He copied his brother and threw the second one back.
“Well, it’s good to see you do have hunting instincts.” Droserakit and Shellkit cowered slightly, realising that their Mum had worked out where they were, and expecting to be severely told off. Instead, she was smiling at them. Maybe she’d been expecting them to sneak out, eventually, then.
“Sorry, ma.”
“I was wondering when you’d go outside. I was just a couple of steps behind.”

Chubtail regarded the two fellow warriors they came across, trying his best to not do anything at all that might make them appear as a threat. What would Heronstar do? First things first; make it clear you’re fellow warriors… and she’d say “greetings” for some reason he hadn’t yet worked out, but it seemed to suit.
“Greetings, I’m Chubtail, and this is Myrtleclaw, of Gustclan.” State your intent. “We were looking for a rogue who’s been on our territory recently.” Don’t show any signs of wanting a fight that you don’t. “They passed near here recently, and we thought they may have gone this way.” There. They’d probably take that as a warning of someone else’s threat than any sort of false admission of guilt.
Myrtleclaw gave him a look, like he was wondering if he’d grown a second head suddenly. Since when did you confess all the details of what you were doing to other clans? It occurred to him that maybe they’d encountered the other clan’s patrol while on the scent of the rogue because one of the Wrenclan cats had been hunting on Gustclan territory. He unsheathed his claws as slowly and subtly as he could in case this went South fast.
-----
“Myrtleclaw says that rogue was probably a trespassing warrior from that other clan they encountered.”
Boulderdash perked up at that, surprised, and thinking it a little ridiculous. “No way do they need to trespass on our land, they’re going to have loads of land to our South, ri’? It’s more likely that there’s another stray, too, Argusheart; they don’t need to come ‘ere.”
“We could go look for them separately.”
Boulderdash didn’t even pause to consider. Long thought-out decisions were not in her nature. “We invite them into the clan, if we find ‘em. It’s what Heronstar would want, and you could get a mate if ‘e’s male. Or if yer into mollies too, then…” Boulderdash cut off at the look Argusheart was giving the grey molly. “Okay, definitely straight then, got it.”
[Shellkit and Droserakit are 2 months old]
(Just doing some kitten fluff is just going to be a thing I do. I like the kitten fluff)
[Chubtail tries to diplomatically avoid aggression with the Wrenclan patrol; he wants to part on neutral or better terms]
[Harrierpelt goes looking for herbs]
[Boulderdash and Argusheart go searching separately after the rogue, hoping that there really is another cat who may join the clan, and that it wasn’t a trespassing Wrenclan warrior previously]
[Gustclan consumes 3 mice- 3 portions]

Honeystar had traveled a long way to get to the Moonpool. She padded over to the shining waters and licked it gently. She lay down to dream. This time, she heard voices through the mist: small, youthful ones. Similar to that of kits. "Starclan," she called gently, "I would like to request for you to send a warrior to my clan. I'm afraid that we might not be able to keep up with our clan's growth." She chuckled. Crowcloud had recently announced that Duckpelt was pregnant, and she had moved into the nursery, where she insisted on only allowing Crowcloud in. Acornstream was worried for her, but the medicine cat had assured him that it was normal for queens to avoid all toms during pregnancy and a short while after. "Thank you," she concluded. When she awoke, Honeystar began the long trek home.

Birchnose went hunting. The clan needed more food and although there was plenty, she wanted to make sure that Duckpelt was healthy when she delivered. Kits were hard work and needed a lot of food! She knew from experience. A queen had once asked her to care for her kits if she couldn't, and Birchnose had agreed. She had been young, then, but the kits had made it to adulthood and as far as she knew, were still alive.
"Alright," she muttered to herself. "Let's see what this forest'll give me..."
***
Crowcloud decided to go herb-hunting again. As it was Duckpelt's first time, there was a chance that there would be complications, and he had no wish for her or the kits to get hurt or... He shook his head, unwilling to consider the possibility. Duckpelt and her kits would be okay. He hoped.

Acornstream and Applepaw were training. Well, Applepaw was training and Acornstream was mentoring. Acornstream decided to start off with the basics of land-hunting. While fishing was important, the territory was more forest than water and it was harder to learn to fish, especially if one wasn't a good swimmer like he was.
"First," said Acornstream, "I'll teach you the hunting crouch."
"How do you do that?" asked Applepaw. He was curious about everything, although struggled to fit in properly. He had been a loner for most of his life, and unlike the adults, wasn't prone to accepting help without insisting on repaying the favor.
"Like this," Acornstream demonstrated. "Now you try." Applepaw followed the command, and the rest of the session was spent on the basics of the hunting crouch and the different methods used to catch prey.
