• well, i have a tan trench coat that i found at a thrift store. the arms are a bit too short for me. i like for jackets to have sleeves that extend past my wrists, ideally all the way to the tips of my fingers. still, it's comfortable and has large pockets. i didn't have a coat at the time, so i convinced myself to buy it. wearing it makes me feel like an important character in a mystery novel. maybe not a main character, but one that has a significant impact on the plot.
  that's not my favorite jacket, but since you specifically used the word 'coat' i figured you'd probably prefer the description of my trench coat to a description of the zip-up hoodie that i am currently wearing.

  v imagine: you're staying in a cottage that's situated in the middle of a woodland clearing. as you're trying to fall asleep on your first night there, you hear some noises coming from outside. it sounds like an animal, and a loud one at that. although the noise is slightly unsettling, you do your best to forget about it and go to sleep. the next morning, you decide to sit out in the garden. however, when you open the back door, you're met with the sight of a creature, one that is like nothing you've ever seen before. describe the creature that you see.

creature has disco ball as his head and he seems kind of shy. he asks me for apple pie. i give it to him. his face grotesquely opens up little disco ball rectangle by little disco ball rectangle and he jams it in there. he says thank u. he leaves. so then i have many little disco ball men come up to my door every other night, all asking for different flavors of pie.

okay honestly as a kid i would like??? learn about dinosaurs from the pbskids game made off of dinosaur train??? and martha speaks that one was good too (i was a pbskids fanatic) but i was always super attached to my stuffed animals. two of my favs were spot the cheetah and moo moo the cow!!

i love my spiky earrings. they're like regular earring cuffs except they've got tiny spikes on them and i think they add a little "edgy" (lol) look to me when i go out

• favorites are hard for me. it feels too...declarative to be like 'this place is my favorite!!' so i wouldn't say i have one.
  still, a place i enjoy eating at (notice the wording to help my favorites anxiety sjkdfhskdhfk) is probably mcdonald's. i know they're considered trashy and/or low-quality, but that doesn't stop me from liking it. i typically get a six count nugget meal with sprite. it's been awhile since i've actually eaten there, because i took a break from mcdonald's after they changed the toys from the pokemon cards. also, it was getting exhausting having to explain that, yes, i am an adult who orders happy meals. these comments were not from the mcdonald's employees, mind you, but instead from the people i was eating with. the remarks didn't stop me from doing what i wanted, but there's only so many times i can have the same conversation before it starts to get annoying.
  
  ^ also wears too many graphic tees. the shirts you described seem very cool and if i ever saw you in public wearing one of them, i would probably say 'i like your shirt' while passing by if i didn't think it would be too much of a bother at that point.
  hmmmmmmm. i haven't read a book in awhile, and the last one i read wasn't anything too grand. i usually say the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy by douglas adams is my favorite book, because when i was younger my dad talked about how much he loved that book and so i decided it would become my favorite book to, i guess mimic him? (i used to take on the interests of the people around me because i didn't understand what i was 'supposed to be' interested in,, took me awhile to figure out what i liked outside of what i said i did. ANYWAY sorry for that Oversharing Moment:tm:),,
  i'm tempted to say the schwa was here by neal shusterman is the book i like best. it could also be boy meets boy by david levithan. both of those felt...impactful to me for very different reasons. the schwa was here felt important to me for a long time, because i saw quite a bit of myself in the schwa. invisible but not, here but not,, it's just,, something that i could relate to at the time, and probably still could. it gave me a way to describe my feelings and understand my own experiences. of course, the metaphor of the schwa is not subtle at all, but as someone who has difficulties understanding subtext, particularly in written word, the bluntness was helpful for me.
  then, of course, there's boy meets boy. i read it before i had a good understanding of myself, and so i couldn't understand why a ya novel about a mlm relationship was so important to me. of course, now i know that i'm a gay trans guy (well that's not exactly it but in this moment i'll call myself that for simplicity's sake). because i grew up in a sheltered conservative environment, that book was probably one of the first times i had seen a queer relationship be presented in a positive light. it's not perfect, but i have clung to it because of what it represents, both literally and metaphorically.
  OOH actually yk what i changed my mind,, my favorite book is a book which had a rainbow flag on the cover and the words 'this book is gay' in bold letters stamped on the front. i rented that from the library several years ago, and i decided to take it into my family's church with me and read it for anyone and everyone to see. that's probably the most rebellious thing i've done besides, you know, just existing, so yeah KJSHKJDSFHK (just kidding i still like the other books more,, i just was getting too emotional for chicken smoothie dot org so i needed a lighthearted story to end on skfjhksjfhksf)
