Opal brings her new gatherer to camp. He feels comforted by the magic in the air, an aura of positivity surrounds him. Fabian will be very happy here. The next day, the two villagers are woken up by sunlight, plunging their room in brightness. The breeze is cool outdoors making for a pleasant day. Not having any time to waste, Opal ushers Fabian away to go gathering. She does a border patrol of her land.

Nyke sat with her legs crossed on the large stone that sat in the back corner of the village. Her back was pressed against a tree trunk. She stared at the two twins that had just joined a few days ago. “They’re like the same person.” She muttered to Raiden, who was reclining next to her. He sat on the lower half of the rock, picking berries off of the surrounding bushes. “That’s because they are.” He snickered, popping a berry into his mouth “Twin powers. I bet they know what the other is thinking. That’s probably why Mica acts like such a girl.” Nyke rolled her eyes. “You’re such an idiot.” She mumbled with a smile, more to herself than her companion. “Nuh-uh.” Raiden countered “I’m a genius. You wouldn’t understand. I have higher intelligence.” He grabbed another berry and was about to throw it into the endless cavern that led to his stomach, before Nyke grabbed his wrist. “Then why are you eating poisonous berries?” She whispered, leaning closer to his ear. Raiden’s eyes widen and he dropped the berries in his hands, wiping them frantically on his pants and trying to cough up the already digested fruit. Nyke sat back and laughed. She rested a hand on his shoulder. “I’m just kidding!” She told him, earning a fierce scowl. “You little fox!” He muttered, a smile pulling at the ends of his mouth. “I-I’m s-sorry.” Nyke said, giggling with every syllable. She took a deep breath and cleared her throat, only to huff with laughter once more. “Okay, okay,” She conceded. Raiden rolled his eyes and got up, pants still stained a purple-ish color. He brushed off his garments and turned to face his friend. Smiling he offered her his hand. “C’mon I want to show you something.” He invited. Nyke shrugged and looked skeptically at him, but took his hand anyways. Raiden steadied her and led her out into the woods.

The two walked for a while, Nyke curiously peaking from behind the muscular body of Raiden. She tilted her head in confusion when the stopped at the river. Raiden turned to her and put a large hand on Nyke’s waist. Nyke’s eyes widened and she took a step back. Raiden smirked and guided Nyke to the bank. “Nnonononononono!” She stuttered, but it was useless. Raiden gave a hard push and sent Nyke splashing into the freezing current. She broke through the surface quickly, the water only coming up to her waist. She stood there, stiff and dripping, mouth wide and eyes glued to the hysterical Raiden. He was clasping his chest, head tossed back in a wild laugh. Nyke clenched her jaw and ingnored the frigid water soaking her. “W-what was that for?” She shouted, her teeth chattering. Raiden stopped laughing, though his face was lit up with humor. “Payback, baby.” He whispered, bending down and leaning toward her. Nyke raised an eyebrow. “I thought you said you were smart.” Nyke commented, reaching out a hand. Raiden’s face grew confused, but before he could answer, Nyke grabbed a hold of his shirt and pulled him to her, making him tumble into the water. Nyke fell back too, pinned under Raiden’s weight, but she was already wet. Raiden jumped up, gasping at the sudden cold. Nyke giggled. “You need to plan better!” She advised, voice trembling with amusement. Raiden splashed at her. The two stayed in the river until sundown, pushing eachother under, splashing, and playing in the small waves.

Spring
Spring is here! During spring, birthings will be smooth and the chances of mothers or children dying during birth will drop dramatically. There is also a higher chance of catching more prey or finding new people and skilled animals looking for shelter, and the odds of sickness will drop.

The rainstorms have begun to fade away, leaving relieved villagers in their place. Children will once again clamor to go outside and play in the puddles, while farmers will wish to check their crops for any signs of rot. Hunters will find it easier to stay in human or a humanoid form if applicable, as there has been much mud created and many scents washed away by the rains. Gatherers will find that this is the best time to pick fruits and vegetables, as they will have been washed clean by the rains.

Alina's foot tapped on the floor. Talking to the ancestors is nice but geez do they take their time? What if no one shows up!? She was growing more and more impatient as time went on. A small knock was heard on the door. "Who is it?" she scowled. The door slowly opened and Emma's face came into view.
"I-it's me, Alina. Someone is here looking for you. She says she is a shaman," Emma said.
"Oh, goodie! I've been waiting. Please let her in," she grinned. Her head disappeared around the door to talk to the shaman. The door was then flung open.

"Hiya!" shouted a young women. "I'm the shaman that was requested! My name's Celeste! Alina, was it?"
"Yes, that's me. Nice to meet you, Celeste. I'm hoping to see good things from you," she said.
"Why, of course! I already like this place already!" she squeaked.
"Good, good. Emma, show her around. There's a building to the left where she can study and live."
"Yes, Alina," she nodded. She has gotten used to how things work around here. Although she doesn't like to be yelled at, as long as she gets food and shelter she is happy. Emma was about to show Celeste to her house when Alex and Marvis returned home.

"This way!" Marvis ordered.
"Marvis! She isn't a prisoner!" Alex shouted.
"What are those buffoons doing now?" Alina groaned. She got up from her throne she was sitting on and came to the door.
"Looks like they found another villager," Eli told her, who was standing guard. Eli was right and Marvis held the arm of an older woman. "Who's this?" Alina demanded.
"My name's Ida, thank you very much. I'm not a fan of roughhousing," she scoffed and got out of Marvis's grip.
"She looked lost so we brought her home," Alex explained.
"I see. Good job. But next time don't hold them like they are going to their own execution!" she shouted and smacked the two knights on the head. They yelped from the sudden hit. Alina's face turned into a calmer expression as she talked to Ida.
"I'm so sorry about that. Please, make yourself welcome."
"Hmph..."
"Grandma!?" a shout came from behind them. It was Celeste.
"Grandma?" the others said in shock.
"Oh, finally. A familiar face," Ida exclaimed and walked towards her granddaughter.
"Woah! How does that work?" Marvis shouted. Celeste looked Ida up and down before turning to them.
"Well, we aren't related but she basically raised me so I call her my grandma," she told them. Everyone but Alina nodded in thought.

"Enough of that!" Alina shouted. "Get to work!" Everyone scrambled out and went along their business.

Sitara wasted no time getting to know Stella, the two older women joking around while the rest of the village got to work cutting, chopping and slicing the fish for supper. ''They seem to like each other.'' Solaris remarked, glancing at the pair. ''Well done, Leo.'' The centaur smiled at the mute human, grateful for his steadfast and kind nature among all these warring and intense characters.

''Oh, well done Leo?'' Ayberk scoffed. ''We have another mouth to feed, and there's no thank you Ayberk.'' The vampire pointed out, crossing his arms. ''No thank you Ayberk for gathering the fruit we're going to eat...''Ayberk placed a hand on his chest, almost mournful. ''...My efforts go unnoticed, yet again.''

Thurayya was quick to jump to her friend's defense, glaring daggers at the vampire. ''We all gathered food!'' She pointed out, with a hiss. ''Solaris' knows who she's thanking, she's thanking someone with the forethought to get someone who knows how to help us if we're sick, if we're wounded or pregnant like Stella.'' Thurayya's frown creased her forehead, weaving dark folds in her skin. ''So, stop whining and just chop the damned fish.''

An uncomfortable silence fell on them like bricks, leaving the vampire seething. ''...Thanks, Thurayya.'' whispered Solaris, lacing her fingers around the shapeshifter's. ''That means a lot.'' Solaris was only young, a chief with no experience of being a chief or leading any kind of people.

''You're welcome.''

The Stormclouds were slowly starting to turn into a family. Krill, Finnick, and Wynia could often be seen swimming around and underneath the castle, Thorne and Tyler spent a lot of their time packing supplies, but when they weren't they were found either studying battle techniques (Thorne) or practicing hunting (Tyler)

the forest floor softly crunched under the paws of a pack of wolves. the constant chirping of birds quieted as they passed by, restarting once the canines were out of sight. a silver wolf, presumably the alpha, led the pack, followed closely by a gray and black she-wolf. the alpha seemed to be following an invisible path though the dense woods. he looked back at the she-wolf every now and then, but she was too busy intensely observing her surroundings to respond to his glances. her pale blue eyes caught every small detail around her, storing them in her mind. eventually, the group reached the bottom of a rocky cliff that seemed to stretch all the way to the clouds. high up, the she-wolf could see the silhouette of a huge monument, barely decipherable within the enormous number of trees at the cliff’s top. this was where she was to leave her canine friends. they wished her goodbye with soft barks and nuzzles and retreated to the safety of the woods. the alpha lingered slightly longer than the rest of the group, stealing one last look at the she-wolf before reluctantly leaving. the she-wolf watched his silver pelt disappear from her view before looking back up at the dark outline of the castle she used to believe was a simple fairy-tale. in a blink of an eye, where a wolf once stood was now an owl, who was almost immediately off the ground, flying towards the castle. reaching the top of the cliff wasn’t as long as she’d anticipated and soon the owl was soaring over the immense castle, searching for any sign of life. but all she saw was untamed ivy covering up most of the outside walls and the wear of time on the castle’s facade. eyeing the castle’s imposing towers one by one, the owl headed towards the one that had a slightly open window. landing with no sound on the window sill, the critter peered inside. the room’s only source of light was the sunlight traveling through the window she’d entered from, the candlesticks she spotted near the room’s entrance being unlit. absolutely no sound reached the owl’s ears, which, combined with the stillness of the space, made the room appear to be frozen in time. deciding it was safe to enter, the owl’s form disappeared, only to be replaced with the one of a woman. she was wearing denim jeans with a plain shirt, her long brown hair cascading over her shoulders. her eyes were the only element not to change; they remained sharp, vivid and light blue in color. taking small, light steps, she eyed the room with more attention. it was rather small, but packed to it’s maximum capacity. the wooden desk at its center was the main piece of furniture, aside from the bookshelves placed against every wall. maps of the world and piles of paperwork were messily scattered on the desk’s surface, left by the room’s previous occupier. the floor had a thick layer of dust over it, as did every item in the room. the girl’s attention was suddenly grabbed by a magnificent telescope, tucked away in a corner. slowly passing her hand over it to clean its surface from the ever-present dust, she discovered the initials ‘V.V’ written in a gold lettering. ‘so this room really is my grand-father’s study; the observatory,’ the girl thought. she’d found the volkov castle. she’d found the place her grand-father wanted to be hers. walking back to the wooden desk, she opened one of its drawers to discover a letter addressed to her name, just as he’d told her. she opened the tarnished envelope with care, taking the letter inside to read it. at first her face was completely neutral, but soon it changed to reveal the girl’s emotions as she read on. surprise, disbelief, understanding and finally, grief. tears started rolling down her cheeks to fall to the floor, but the girl quickly dried them. her grand-father had asked her to accomplish his final wish, and she was ready to do everything in her power to make his dream come life. slowly but surely, she would make this castle rise from its ashes and become a haven to all shape-shifters who had been forced to live in fear and repression just like they had. determination made her eyes sparkle, but soon a sigh escaped from her lips. to return the castle to it’s former glory, she’d have to start by cleaning it. every single room of it. alone. deciding that cleaning a castle by herself was madness, the girl shifted back to an owl to first find food and possibly find new members to the newly named volkov brotherhood.
