Askari woke to an incessant tickling in his nostrils. The sensation was quickly overcome by the pounding in his head, so painful that when he opened his eyes all he saw was a brilliant white light. Locking his lids, his nostrils flared until he suddenly heard an agitated, feminine voice, "Get up." It demanded, "This is your first test. Prove to me you were with saving." The aggression didn't drop from the voice and Askari heard hooves stamp nearby. Without lifting his head, Askari squinted and saw a pitch black Arabian mare a few yards away. She was adorned in elegant golden head and neckwear. Her hooves looked like they were dipped in gold but Askari wasn't sure he could trust his pounding head. He knew who this was and had never heard of her having golden hooves, only scarlet, "Nafsi, my queen." Askari uttered as he lifted his throbbing skull. His eyes, though still dotted with fuzzy white, were greeted with a spectacle of colors and gently swishing grasses. Confusion swept through him, increasing the intensity of his headache. He locked eyes with Nafsi again, "Where are we?"

Nafsi lifted her proud head and laughed, "That's for me to know and for you to find out. You will lead my Watumishi and prove that you arent useless."

The elegant black shape began to dissipate in front of Askari's eyes and it felt as if as he watched Nafsi vanish, the pain in his head also left. Before he knew it he was able to stand again and gaze around at his surroundings.

He was in a meadow... tall grasses, knee length to the tall stallion, waved in the gentle breeze, dotted with brightly colored flowers. The breeze smelled of sap and pine something foreign to Askari and he wasnt sure if it emanated from the bright flowers or the thick trees that lined the meadow. The babble of a brook drew his attention and he could see the sparkling surface of the water near the edge of his new home though it wasnt long as it dipped back into the dark wood. Askari felt lost in this new world and the ground almost felt a little too stable. He was used to winds that nearly tore him off his hooves, sand that attacked his eyes and body as it raced away with the wind. This was gentle, calm... daunting.

A creature suddenly appeared on his other side and when he pulled his head around to look at it he was greeted by a tiny light brown thing. It had long ears, awkwardly long for such a small body, a fuzzball of a tail and its legs were strange.

"Kill it for Nafsi." Came a masculine voice.

"For Nafsi." Askari echoed before rearing up without hesitation and slamming his front hooves into the creature's body. A quick squeal and it was over. The rabbits body lay twisted and mangled in front of him.

The masculine voice whispered again, "paint yourself to show the world you arent afraid. Then seek out a new follower. Make Nafsi proud."

Askari did as directed though he still wasn't sure who was speaking - Nafsi's father? Or maybe her brother? Either way he knew better then to disobey the gods and their wishes. Once adequately coated in the crimson paint provided by the dead rabbit Askari set out on his new mission - find a follower.

her eyes widened at the sight of what was soon to be the snapdragon alliance's territory, excitement growing in the pit of her stomach. she lashed her tail as she trotted forward, glancing around and taking in the scenery happily. she snorted; this was perfect. absolutely marvelous.
first off, she'd have to find shamrock and tell her about this beautiful territory... then, she'd go on a border patrol. yeah, that seemed about right.

The Coven live in a territory basically made up of field, but a small forest borders them on 2 sides, a stream on one, and the mountains on the other. The Coven are a group of close knit, warrior-like, no-nonsense horses, and are a persuasive bunch. They. in majority, come off as cold and unwelcoming to outsiders, but constantly look for new horses, to join their ever changing family.

Ranks
Lead Mare/Lead Stallion - basically just adding a lead stallion (only has 5 lives)
Admiral - second in command
Rookie - Admiral's trainee (will become the next admiral - must be agreed on by the lead mare/stallion and admiral
Troops - subordinates
Commander - senior subordinates - more power
Students - trainees
Dams - dams
Foals - foals
Elders - elders

The Coven believe in a select few gods that live in the Silver Meadows (The Stars) with The Ancestors. A couple also reside over the Dark Meadows (The Dark Forest). The Gods are as follows -
