Spring: you are more likely to run across dowt members eager to join you! more predators are out and hungry from a long winter of hibernation and scarce prey. beware of them trying to steal your prey, which is now flourishing.

They will then train as a warrior, a medic, and a scout. It is important that they are capable of doing all tasks. They will also complete both assessments.
Warriors to be will face an assessment before they are full warriors, as do scout to be's. A warrior's assessment consists of stalking and killing a rabbit. This proves they are patient, fast, and quiet.
Scouts to be will also face an assessment. Their assessment requires them to track a dowt member through the trees. The scout doesn't know who it is and the member will move if they hear them coming. This proves they are agile, observant, and quiet.

Highest Queen The Highest Queen is highly revered as she is believed to be the reincarnation of an ancestor. She is very stubborn and aggressive, and she can be ruthless if you betray her or her dowt. If you manage to get close to her though, she is very loving and sweet.

cats. all cats are found here, but snow leopards are an exception. the only snow leopard ever spotted in the dowt of hidden secrets is the current high queen. while snow leopards are extremely rare, they can still appear every now and then.

prey/predators. one of the biggest predators for the dowt of hidden secrets is the black bear. not only can these powerful mammals kill cats easily, but they also steal the fish that can feed the dowt. every so often, the high queen will send out her strongest cats to take down a bear sighted, and they usually succeed, but not always. wolves are also a threat, as they hunt in packs and can take down a patrol. birds of prey can be known to swoop down and grab cubs or young recruits, but they don't appear often. prey found in the dowt's territory are: mice, vole, squirrels, big fish, all birds, and all antlered animals.

the high queen. the high queen of the dowt of hidden secrets is a mysterious snow leopard, hailing from the snowy mountains of the southeast. her name is althea, and she is a force to be reckoned with. althea is very headstrong and determined, but she is extremely intelligent and calculating. abandoned as a young cub, she grew up with an old panther, who raised her to become strong. eventually, the panther died, and althea found the dowt.

Ania looks at her cave and sighs. "We can't have a dowt without members, now can we?" She walks out of the cave looking for a place to talk to The Ancestors. After walking her territory, she decides the best way to get close to them is in the highest tree. She makes her way up the tree, taking her time. Once she gets to the top, she sits and looks to the sky. "Ancestors bless me with a High General, for we cannot start to hunt without a commander." Ania looks a little longer and then begins her descent. Once on the ground, Ania decides to patrol in hopes of finding prey and willing cats to join.

Whispering Moon

Territory;

The Whispering Moon Dowt reside in a mountainous region located in western Russia. Their territory primarily cold most of the time as their valley is high in altitude. That being said, their camp can reach up to eighty degrees due to the thick foliage. The tree covering also keeps most of the snow off the ground, making a cave like cozy feeling on the ground. This leads the the fact that most prey runs year round. To the east if the territory runs an icy river. At the beginning of this river there is a huge waterfall the cats call Fall if Dreams. The Fall of Dreams is similar to the moonpool in the way that the cats can visit their ancestors by lapping some of its frigid waters.

Traditions; There us one simple tradition that all cats follow in the Whispering Moon Dowt. When cats are of age they will make a solo journey to the Fall of Dreams. On this journey they will learn about themselves and what it means to be part of a Dowt. When they reach the falls and the ancestors see them worthy, they will receive their Dakh, or spirit-name. This is a sacred name that they only give to cats they trust with their lives. Their Dakh is a one word summary of their future. It is often very vague and can adapt if the cat goes through a great change in their lives.

The Cats; The cats of the Whispering Moon Dowt are often big-bodied. Though it is not uncommon to see a Caracal or Serval. The Dowt is very prideful and loyal to one another and will defend each other to the death. As the saying goes, if you mess with one of them, you mess with them all.

birch's ears were pricked forward cautiously, his nose twitching as he examined the molly who paced before him. "your kits, you say?" he asked, a frown lowering the corners of his muzzle. "how far?" the caracal let out a low growl at his hesitance. "not very," she insisted, her medium-length tail lashing. "they need help - aren't you dowt cats supposed to be oh-so-amazing?" her voice had turned to a low growl. birch huffed, his chest sticking out. "we are amazing," he insisted. "lead me to them."

hestia and lyra deposited the fawn in the center of camp, much to the kit's amazement. they tumbled out of their den, gasping, kehlani following them with amused whiskers. "that's the biggest deer i've ever seen!" ajax wailed, his eyes wide and good ear upturned towards hestia. an amused purr left hestia's throat, though lyra seemed irritable, swishing off to groom the deer's blood from her muzzle. she didn't like kits, not one bit. "this is only a fawn," hestia let out a chuff of laughter. "the adults are much larger." soren's dazzling blue eyes had grown to the size of the moon. "bigger that this?" he asked, awe brightening his voice. "wow," he breathed, admiration twitching in his ears.
