The pack of the Soaring Falcon

Personalities:

The wolves of the Soaring Falcon pack are small, quiet, and secretive. Their small size makes them reluctant fighters and they prefer to talk their way out of trouble before having to risk their lives. They prefer to interact little with other packs and keep out of the way of larger packs. Despite their small stature and skinny bodies, these wolves aren't bad fighters. They rely more on speed than strength since many of them are faster and more agile than strong. They get their name from the peregrine falcons that share their territory. The Soaring Falcon pack is highly superstitious, with many beliefs other packs might find odd.

Appearance:
The wolves who reside here mostly commonly resemble mexican wolves, red wolves, arabian wolves, and steppe wolves. All are subspecies to the grey wolf.
These wolves are small and skinny, which helps lend speed to their paws although they aren't very strong.

Territory:
These wolves make their home in a large territory consisting mostly of a chaparral biome(plains & mountains) with a pine/deciduous forest north of their den. They make their den in several caves within a rock structure near the middle of their territory. They have two major water sources within their territory, both flowing down into the forest. The majority of their territory looks like territory 1(below) but a south of camp, the terrain becomes drier and looks more like territory 2(below)

Whisper Pack
Number of Wolves: 2

A group of birds wildly fluttered out of the trees, a cacophony from their cries. A large wolf skidded into the clearing, staring up in disappointment. 'Leif!' A smaller wolf, yet radiating an aura of power, ran up beside him,
eyes slightly narrowed against the sun. 'You've scared them all off, silly.' Warmly, she nudged him with her head,
and flicked her tail. 'Come on, we'd better go exploring a bit more! This place is beautiful, but we need a winter den, right?'

The male wolf, named Leif, nodded, following afterwards. His eyes flickered all around as they walked, curious.
Redwood, the female, couldn't say she wasn't excited either. A new area, all for them! They'd have to start building up a pack! Oh, it was all so exciting!

The two had been walking for a little while when they came across a weeping willow. Leif gently tapped Redwood with his tail. 'You should wait here and check out the river, I'll look around.'
'What, don't think I can take care of myself?' Redwood teased, smiling as she padded away. 'Go ahead, call me if you find anything.'

It wasn't long before Redwood was summoned by a joyful cry. 'Look! This is perfect!' and indeed, it did seem to be.
Suddenly, Redwood's stomach rumbled. They caught eachother's eye and let out yaps of laughter, before setting off to hunt.

Redwood and Leif go on a hunting patrol

The wolves of the Deep Forest pack lives in the deepest part of a deciduous forest, with a stream crossing through it and a large cave where they make their camp. They are very reclusive and territorial, and will not hesitate to fight to protect each other but would prefer to become allies with other packs.

The Pack of Deep Rooted Cedars

Personality:

The Pack of Deep Rooted Cedars are known for their overwhelming sense of tradition and duty to the ways of old. Thy're very much dusty old senators; preferring to talk rather than do and their wisdom that comes from this is often overshadowed by their resulting close mindedness. They're fairly slow to make decisions, taking every opportunity to take consul rather than act which had both impeded their growth but given them a good excuse to get out of scuffles. In general the wolves of the Pack of Deep Rooted Cedars think themselves high above the other packs, being incredibly snooty and prone to looking down their snouts at the rest of the world. They are unlikely to get involved in other affairs unless they take a liking to a certain other pack, in which case they will take them under their 'wing' and decided that they are the best thing that ever happened to said pack.

Territory:

The Pack of Deep Rooted Cedars occupy an incredibly old cedar forest with trees many wolf lengths around. They make their camp in the midst of a cedar ring whose trees have grown incredibly close together to create a practically impenetrable wall. The forest is quite thick and little sunlight finds it's way down. The pack believes the souls of their deceased find their way into the cedars after they die and often confer with the trees, which makes them look a bit daft.

Looks:

The wolves of the Pack of Deep Rooted Cedars are tanks, built for slow going and brute force. They are mainly red and dark grey to black wolves, light pelts are a rarity. They are very muscular and can knock out most prey with a few blows, though catching up can prove to be a bit of a problem.

Edit: Hey I.C.! This is gonna be amazing but we're probably gonna need a fanclub! I could make it if you would like?

    The Dawnguard Howlers

[ x x ] - Dawnguard Howlers are protective of their own, they will not allow for traitors or for outsiders to harm their own. However, be in this pack's trusted few, you'll be safe from any harm. The Howlers live in a darker forest with a cool breeze that runs through. A creek runs near the western border, but is too small to find big enough fish in. These wolves mostly live off Elk and Beavers, but will occasionally find a few hares. These wolves run larger, but aren't always so bulky. Some are more thin and quick on their feet rather than brawny fighters.

      astral pack
this pack was assumed to have been given it's name because of the connection elder members seem to have with the stars. the members are commonly caring and reasonable, yet impulsive. they'd much rather find a way to make peace than fight. don't be fooled though, their bite is much harder than their bark. the territory consists of tall red woods trees and ground covered with moss. there are several areas where the trees clear out and there is large, open space. these areas are often popular hunting grounds. pack members are usually of lighter tones, but darker ones aren't too uncommon. they're sneaky and, despite most standing out against their territory colors, manage to hide quite well.

Flower Pack lives in a meadow with flowers. (I like flowers, okay?) They are unlikely to trust other packs, but will try to settle a dispute if needed. They are a bit loose with the rules, not caring as much if there are forbidden romances. The things they are not loose with are loyalty and food. If anyone betrays their pack or steals their food, they will chase the wolf out. They are very protective of each and every member, and will fight to recapture any stolen member. They are careful around other packs, only saying what needs to be said. Most of them are rather close to the ground, to be able to hide within the grass. They come in many colors. They are built for quick running, to catch prey before it escapes. They are weaker in endurance, but, in the right areas, can sneak close enough to catch most creatures before they tire.

sunbeam pack

the members of the sunbeam pack are known for being quick and cunning. they are quite friendly to other packs, except for ones that are vicious and often attack. they are very loyal and honest with each other, and usually enjoy working together.

their territory is a large forest with many maple trees scattered around, especially around their camp, which is a clearing with many pebbles littered around it. quite a few large rocks are at the edges of the clearing, providing a little more protection. the dens are mainly hollowed-out trees, with a few patches of very tall grass as exceptions. there is a large pond nearby, home to fish and waterfowl, that has a little island in the middle.

due to the territory being a large forest, wolves are most often darker colors to blend in with their surroundings. light colors are just as common, however. they are quite slender, built to run fast and for longer periods of time. they can easily boost ahead while hunting large prey items, such as elk, deer or moose. they aren't bulky at all, and cannot take many lethal hits before running for the hills. they make up for this by defeating enemies before they are defeated; working together to take them down, fighting with tooth and claw.

Juniper's warm brown eyes opened slowly, unfocused and blurry. Where am I? The grey and light brown she-wolf quickly shot to her paws, looking around wildly as she remembered the events that had happened shortly before she passed out.

"Kestrel!" She called out, a terrified whine slowly edging into her howl. The she-wolf and her mate, Kestrel, had grown up in the same pack together and were recently driven out by the alpha female. Juniper had been the daughter of the former alpha female, so when the new alpha female challenged her mother and won, the former alpha female and all of her children had been driven out. Kestrel had followed Juniper and her family since he and Juniper had recently started to gain feelings for each other. The pair had left to hunt for the small group of exiles when they ran into humans. Before they could do anything, they had felt strange pricks I'm their sides and started to lose consciousness.

Juniper looked around at her surroundings, her warm gaze surveying the mountains and forests around her.

"We're far from home." A gruff voice barked. Juniper looked over her shoulder, relaxing at the sight of the black and light brown fur that belonged to her mate. "We need to find somewhere to stay." Kestrel said, his ears twitching as a few snowflakes landed on them.

Juniper nodded sadly, trudging through the snow to join him. Kestrel leaned down, reaping his tongue against her ears. "We'll be okay, I promise. I won't let anything happen to you."

The golden shewolf followed after her excited mate, blowing a puff of air from her nostrils at his goofy antics. The male in question, Yondu, had run into her seven months ago. They had been from neighboring packs, so had met before during Full Moons. Of course, as they were enemies at the time, neither paid much attention to the other. But then, of course as all packs do, the alphas had another litter, and had to drive out a few of last year's pups. Layla had been one of her pack to become a dispersal wolf. It was a pity; she had always thought she was mother's favorite. Yondu was a completely different story. He had been exiled from his pack due to recklessly disrupting a hunt, and causing the herd to flee. There were nursing pups in his pack, and they went hungry and almost starved due to his stupidity. Thus, he was cast out for endangering the lives of pups. Somehow, the two packless wolves had met, and Layla had found herself liking the eccentric male. After their months of travels searching for a new pack to join, they had decided to stake out their own land and start a pack themselves. Layla sighed, flicking her pale eyes to the black male as he pounced on yet another newly shaped leaf. He never changes.

"Hey, this one is soft!" Yondu's childlike voice sounded. It seemed as if the male's voice had never deepened when he reached maturity, and Layla found it quite adorable.

"Of course, Yondu. I can smell it from here, it's a cherry blossom petal." The golden shewolf replied sweetly. She tilted back her head, admiring the tall branches of the sakura tree. It's beautiful! Layla took a step closer to the tree, sniffing the bark. It smelled... sweet. Lowering her head, the shewolf pawed at the ground, testing the soil. It was good enough for digging if needed.

Yondu nosed her shoulder, grabbing his mate's attention. "It'd be a good place for a summer den." He reminded her what they were searching for. The golden shewolf turned to face her dark counterpart, a smirk across her muzzle.

"A summer den? We haven't even found a winter den yet, and that's the most important!" She allowed her tongue to lull out in a joking manner. Yondu huffed his laughter.

The dark male tilted his head comically, although he knew the answer before he asked. "And will we be needing a winter den?" Layla stepped closer, nuzzling his muzzle. The two wolves wagged their tails. Of course we will.

-

The night before, Layla had hastily dug an indention beneath the roots of the sakura tree for the two wolves to rest. She blinked open her eyes, feeling Yondu curled next to her, and smiled. "Yondu, little goat, we have to get up and find a winter den," Layla prodded her mate's side.

Yondu rolled over, grunting in mock exhaustion. "Oh, already? It's so early, though!" But he stood anyway, stretching his long legs and giving Layla's ear a lap before striding a few paces away. The golden shewolf lifted herself to her legs, fighting off a swarm of dizziness. She blinked the spots away, centering her gaze on Yondu, who had a concerned expression on his face.

"You ok?" His high voice wondered worriedly as he lowered his head. Layla nodded, trotting out to stand next to him. "Ok, because, if you'd like we can stay here. There's lots of stuff to do still." Layla held back a snort. She knew that Yondu's idea of stuff to do involved staring at leaves or tasting flowers.

"There's time for that later. Idiot." Layla leaned against Yondu, glad that she had him with her.

If Yondu could have raised an eyebrow, he would have. "I may be an idiot, but I'm your idiot! Now let's go get you that den you want so much!" He prepared to race off, but the growling of his stomach disturbed his actions. Yondu frozed, embarrassed.

Layla rolled her eyes. See, idiot. But he's right; he's my idiot. The golden shewolf flicked her mate with her tail. "Maybe we should hunt first, eh?" Layla snickered. Yondu returned with a shy nod and a sheepish grin, and moments later, the two set off to do just that.

Layla and Yondu go on a hunting party.
Layla and Yondu prepare for the arrival of their first litter.
