▶ OVERVIEW

CascadeClan shelters in a small, lush, fertile river-valley centered around a pond. The weather is mostly warm, moist, and humid. A farm can be found on the hill northwest of Cascade known as the Ryefields. Wheat is grown there and it makes the perfect hunting ground. To the east of Cascade is a jungle filled with exotic creatures known as the Wildcries. It's rumored that another Clan lives deep in the tropics, but no cat of Cascade has ever met one of theirs. The jungle is the second hunting ground, but only skilled cats can go in there, as the Wildcries are a very dangerous place. Cats of Cascade also fish in the pond. However, it will easily flood during the rain. Cascade cats' dens are out in the open. They sleep in nests made of lush grass. All cats sleep in the same area regardless of rank. However, sick cats sometimes stay at the farm. Cascade cats can be found in all colors, though some are less common than others. Grey and black-furred felines are seen often, with russet coming in as a close second. Brown is significantly rarer for whatever reason, as is cream. Solid white is much more common than partially white, though these felines rank in between greys and brown, and of course, only shorthaired cats or naive, pampered, or lost kittypets dare to venture in the wilds near the equator.

The current season is leaf-bare! That means it's very cold, and I can't say I'm enjoying it. The snow in some territories is quite beautiful and tempting to play in, though- maybe ask some of your friends to help you build a snowcat? Since it is so chilly, everyone is doing their best to stay inside, which means you'll catch less prey, as well as meet fewer new friends. It has become much easier for sickness to spread and queens will find that births are the most difficult in this season. Be cautious and make sure to stock up on healing herbs!

As Mellohi and Kure were returning to The Slope, they discussed how this'd be Mellohi's last trip out for a while, as her kits were on the way. Mellohi was being a little stubborn at first, but Kure reminded her that Kitty would stop at nothing to hold her back from work. They made it back to the slope to see Kitty and Suno curled up together in a huddle. The two turned to each other and smiled, then joined them. Around an hour later, the four were awake, awaiting Kurisu's arrival. Moments later he popped his head out from a tree and trotted over. "Guys!" He chimed happily. "I found someone!" He smiled, stepping to the side to reveal a shorter, fluffy molly who was smiling nervously. They all knew what was about to happen, and then they heard it. A dramatic gasp came from beside Kure. "A new cutie!?" Kitty jumped out and quickly dragged her paws over. The group knew kitty had a strange fondness for cute things. The molly's smile grew brighter. "What's your name?" Kure appeared next to Kitty with an expression of excitement. "Gin!" The molly squeaked out. Kitty looked as though she was going to explode but calmed herself quickly. "Are you hurt or anything?" Kitty asked. "Nope, just expecting kits." Gin giggled and Kitty's eyes lit up once more. "More babies!?" She half-screamed. "Okay!" Mellohi interrupted the interaction with a mew. "Shall we get moving once more?" "Where are we going though?" Kurisu asked. "While we were waiting for you to arrive, we discussed how we're planning to go to the strange tree." Suno said calmly, looking out into the colorful pasture once again. "That means we'll have to travel into the Cracked Ley." Kitty explained, as well as announcing what they'll be calling said field. "Shall we follow the stream? As far as we can see, it leads to the tree." Kure pointed out. The others nodded, Mellohi took a spot at the edge of the slope and looked down. "It's quite steep." She noted, shuffling her paws a little reminding herself of what condition she's in. Kitty walked out from behind her. "I'll go down first, and break your fall." She smiled happily and slid down the slope. She positioned herself to where once one of the mollies hit the bottom, they'd bump into her, preventing them from toppling over. Mellohi came down first, then Gin, then Suno. After the monarchs had crossed into the Cracked Ley, they waited for Kurisu and Kure. They began travelling on the stream, Kurisu taking the lead. The stopped at a small boulder that barely stuck out of the ground. They could see the tree much better from this distance.

"Okay then it's decided. Gin, Suno and I will stay here, whilst Kitty, Kure and Kurisu go off on their duties." She smiled, the others returning it, then breaking away. The three mollies rested themselves beside the rock, Suno off in the grass by the edge of the stone, while Gin and Mellohi sunbathed atop it.

Venomstar woke up in a daze, as if much time had passed without him realizing it.
After regaining his surroundings, he almost couldn't remember what life was like
before he had fallen asleep, it all felt like a fever dream. His tail was wrapped
around his loving mate and her four little kittens. He was overcome with love and
the urge to protect all five of them. However he suddenly became restless and
eager to get outside and get his clan back in order, the thought about asking them
if they had felt like he had when they woke up, but decided it wasn't important.
As he stirred, so did Huckleberry. "Hello dear, you may rest, you have your little
ones to take care of." She looked at Venom with a little bit of confusion in her eyes,
for she had felt the daze as well, and thought maybe this daze had changed Venom
for the better, for he seemed much nicer. "Thank you my love, I will keep them safe
don't you worry." she cooed. Venom smiled wholeheartedly, "I love you. Now it's time
to get my clan back in order." He gave Huckleberry a few licks, as well as his children,
before stepping out and taking everything in. About half of the clan had awoken and
also seemed to be primarily taking in their surroundings. Tikkitavi had been the first
one to walk up and talk to Venom, not idling in small conversation, but getting straight
to the point, "Hello sir. What are the plans?" Venom smiled once more and told him to
gather all of the warriors, while he went to greet these new cats that he noticed before.
