Iro managed to find more cats, so far they've all been friendly. Well Iro found a cat, Kurumi found the other.
The cat Iro found said he was called Kogeta, and yet again Iro questioned how Kogeta got here maybe the same way Kurumi did? he'd never really know- anyways.
The cat Kurumi found said she was called Haru. Kurumi after finding this lost mage in training brought her back to Iro.
He told Kurumi to train Haru as she found her.

Autumn, Leaffall ❧ The time of wind is here! The air has become chill, and the falling leaves crackle underpaw with a crispness only found in the autumn-time. Prey is starting to hide in their burrows, but last minute foraging leaves still some summer-dwellers out in the open to hunt. Predators, too, are hiding away, a thankful effect of the cooling. However, be careful, as the colder weather leaves the fellowships vulnerable to light illnesses. As the days shorten, kittings will also become riskier. Mothers best stay warm.

A loud thud broke Rowena out of her meditation, causing her to jump. She had been resting peacefully on a rock overlooking the river, a gentle glow seen beneath the waters' surface from various creatures. It had been relaxing, and she had been thinking about a nice walk along the grass by herself, with nothing else going on... but something was definitely going on. Hogwarts was still in danger. Another thud rattled the entire cavern system, and Rowena's eyes widened as the caverns grew impossibly quiet. Nothing dared to move, for an intruder's presence was felt. A human.

Rowena slowly rose to her paws, stretching her winged legs silently in preparation of going back to her home base, where Miles and Musidora were. She thought of the pregnant queen, of how scared she must be, unable to protect herself. She hopes that Miles was near her, able to offer he protection. Inwardly, the leader cursed herself - how was she supposed to lead a fellowship and save Hogwarts if she couldn't even protect the two cats that had agreed to join her?

Careful not to make any sound, Rowena took a swift glide off of her rock, aiming towards camp. It seemed whoever thought of coming in was gone, as the smaller creatures began to resume their normal noises. She saw a nargle poke its head out from behind a tree, and chatter to it's friends as it declared the coast clear. A close call for the caverns, but surely there would be more intruders of ill intention. This wasn't going to be a one time event.

Rowena slowed as she neared her camp, not wanting to alarm Miles or Musidora any more than they surely already were. "Are you both safe?" She asked as she came in, looking around for Musidora as Miles greeted her. The fluffy cat gave a quick nod, casting a glance over his shoulder. "Yeah, she slept through the whole thudding. I watched the entrance to make sure nothing came in. It was eerily quiet, so I don't think any predators had any inkling to come in anyway. You good?" A deep sigh, and Rowena nodded. "Yeah, but I want to be more careful about when I leave. Sorry for doing that; I'll be better next time." Miles shook his head, nearly rolling his eyes. "You have nothing to apologize for. Musidora is tough, and I can fend for myself. Trust me, you don't need to go crazy over us, though I appreciate the sentiment."

Another sigh. "Still... I would hate if something happened while I was out. We need more members..."

With that thought, Rowena organized a patrol, wanting to make sure everything was alright. It wouldn't hurt to see if there was someone in need of assistance. Rowena would be better, for Hogwarts, and for every creature that lived in the caverns.

Crystal Moon awoke from her dream with a renewed feeling of life flowing through her. She walked over to the small waterfall pool in the corner of her den and looked down into it. Over all she looked the exact same, except for the crescent moon marking on her forehead. It had changed from the true red of her Fire element to the royal Purple of Nyx's chosen element; Spirit.

Crystal Moon thanked her Goddess for her gift, and recounted the herbs in her stores quickly. She was not sure how long she was out for, and wanted to make sure that she was not raided in the mean time. She then turned to the rising sun, lamenting the setting moon. She knew that they moon was always there, and always knew how to find it, but watching the sun rise and steal brilliance from the moon always made her heart weep.

She shook herself and looked around the ruins that had become her home, she knew that this place was too big for just herself, so she decided to go out and find more to join her.

After Etheria had stayed silent during Angus’ love declaration, it had become pretty awkward between the two of them. Etheria didn’t know what was worse: Angus orbiting around her or pretending she was invisible. It did come with a positive as Angus was spending more time training Fawkes though only basic skills. There still hadn’t been a fire elemental roaming around, and the adults were all getting rather worried about his control over his element. A small bush fire had already sparked up due to Fawkes frustration at falling out of a tree. Luckily, Sinner was nearby and coaxed water out of his stash of dampened moss to quickly put out the sparks.
This, however, gave Etheria another method of finding out what her element was. Every now and then she would think about all her frustrations and worries to try and direct anything to happen but with no luck. The air didn’t get colder (or warmer), the wind didn’t pick up, the groundwater didn’t seep up from the dirt, the dew on grass didn’t tremble, sparks didn’t fly, and the flower leaves didn’t unfurl. Nothing happened at all.

Even though Reign’s secondary power was weather sensing, she also seemed to have a knack for finding strange items in the dirt. There was a small pointed edge sticking out that Reign immediately spotted as unnatural. “You think it’s another scrap of Facility junk? Looks like there’s something growing underneath it.” Reign asked. Like the polluted stream nearby, the Facility left its ugly scars all over the surrounding territory.
“Might be,” Etheria sniffed it but couldn’t place the scent.
“Guys!” Angus broke through the bushes and his silence to Etheria, along with another smaller tom. “I found another serpent splice! His name is Colin.”
“You look skinny,” Reign noted, “Did you recently escape?”
“Yeah,” Colin kept his gaze on the ground. Etheria could tell he was very overwhelmed. “His escape,” Colin pointed to Angus, “caused stricter lockdown protocols.”
Angus deflated, “I didn’t know.”
“Hang on…” Colin scrutinized Angus, “I recognize you. You’re the one the Scientists screwed up.”
“That’s harsh,” Etheria spoke up. Angus shot her a grateful smile after his tail drooped even further than it was. “Everyone is screwed up from the Facility; that is their design.”
“More screwed up than the rest,” Colin chuckled. He was clearly enjoying ragging on the cat that caused complications with his freedom. “I don’t know what happened, but his splice didn’t work. That’s why they spliced me with another snake from the same litter as his. I got a secondary power and he did not.”
“That’s not true!” Angus protested. “How would you know that anyway?”
“That’s a lot of information,” Etheria said skeptically, “The Scientists were that loose lipped around you?”
“I don’t know,” Colin shrugged, “I only saw one of ‘em pointing to him and saying something about a failure and an incomplete specimen.”
“Well, do you have a secondary power?” Reign asked. She assumed Angus would respond yes and put all of this to rest.
“…not yet….” Angus said. He looked pathetic. Etheria pressed up against him like he had so many times before and he leaned into her.
“And one’s magically going to appear?” Colin had found his stride. He reviled in taunting apparently.
“Perhaps Reign could teach you some manners,” Etheria snapped, “What’s your element?”
“Fire.” Colin replied.
Damn, Etheria thought, another fire with no magik to teach him elementals.
“As long as Reign has powers, I’m sure I’ll be fine.” Colin boasted.
“Hush,” Reign cuffed his ear, surprising him. Colin looked rather offended, but the others took no mind. “Your first lesson will be learning how to hold your tongue.”
The strange item was long forgotten as they headed back to camp with the new stażysta in tow. “Thanks for standing up for me,” Angus whispered softly to Etheria. “I…I didn’t know I was incomplete.”
“You’re not incomplete,” Etheria argued. It was nice being able to talk to him without worrying about other feelings. “The Scientists are evil and traumatize us but that doesn’t make us incomplete. “You’re a triple splice.” Angus argued.
“You put too much weight in that.” Etheria shook her head sadly. “I’m no different than the rest. Even worse, I can’t use the wings I was spliced with.”
“If I can’t be sad then you can’t be either,” Angus gave her a soft smile. His eyes had the old twinkle in them again. Etheria smiled too but she couldn’t match his other feelings.

It had been a few days since Colin joined and he was already improving. Reign forbade him from speaking unless spoken to until further notice. However, that only increased the amount of snarky glares. Fawkes seemed to be getting along well with him at least; he made sure to ask about his own experiences at the Facility and listened to his stories. Angus and Reign took both stażyści out to train together most mornings, but the rain was stopping everyone from stepping out from under the rocky overhangs. That is everyone except Reign. “Come on,” She urged, “You know what this means!”
“We’re staying dry?” Fawkes piped up. He was especially grumpy since he couldn’t practice setting little leaves on fire though he was forbidden to do that anyway.
“You’ll be staying back regardless,” Reign dismissed the staźysta, “But other creatures are going to be quieter which means this is the perfect time to explore the more dangerous parts of this forest.”
“Is that a thing we should do?” Angus asked.
“It would be a great way to find supplies,” Sinner said, “Anything unusual you can bring back to camp and I’ll see if they’d have a use or not.” Reign ducked her head sheepishly as this was a dig at her carrying around the healing stone for days without knowing what it was.
“If you know everything, you should come with,” Angus argued.
“No need to feel insecure,” Sinner rarely intended to reveal one’s emotions willy nilly but it was just second nature to him, “I need to be nearby if Lani goes into labor. If she does, it’s much to early to be healthy and I would need to assist.”
“I sure feel like I’m about to burst already. I can’t believe I have another month left.” Lani complained but Sinner knew she was very excited to meet her kits.
“Don’t you want to explore more, Etheria?” Reign begged the lider. “You’re strong enough to hold your own now.”
“If we happen to encounter something,” Etheria said, “we run. I’ve seen some of the manufactured beasts of the Facility and if some of us could escape, they could too. Or I wouldn’t put it past the Scientists to let some out into the wilderness with us.” She still couldn’t get the last words the Scientist said to her as he shoved her out the door. Or is this the Final Test of them all?

“What is that?” Angus whispered. Etheria, Reign, and himself were currently crouching under a bush starting at a small dragon-looking creature. “That’s not a feline splice at all.”
“A dragon?” Etheria guessed. “Its wings look a bit like Sinner’s.”
“I don’t think so,” Reign said, “The wings are connected to its front legs.”
Etheria racked her brain for species that had been mentioned at the Facility. “Wyvern?”
“A young one if that,” Reign said, “We could take it.”
“It doesn’t look very threatening,” Angus reasoned.
“Are we sure?” Etheria shook rain droplets from her wings. They had become heavier than usual and she was starting to feel the strain on her back.
“Definitely,” Reign shivered in excitement, “but it’s your call.” She added hastily.
“I suppose,” Etheria unsheathed her claws. It felt strange unsheathing them for something other than getting a better grip on a branch. There would be blood on her paws in a few moments and she didn’t know how she felt about that. This wasn’t a kill for food or survival; there was a clear choice to initiate a fight.
Reign was the first to strike and she caught the wyvern by surprise. It squawked in surprise, another sign it was young, and dropped a beautiful blue flower from its mouth. Angus snatched it to save it from being trampled and Etheria completed her first ever swipe. The feeling of claws against scaly flesh was an odd sensation; she wasn’t sure that she liked it. The wyvern automatically lashed out and left a trail of small scratches in Etheria’s fluffy white fur. Another nip from Reign set it scattering and the three were left with the blue flower. “You alright?” Angus dropped the flower to check on Etheria.
“Fine,” She brushed him off, “Let’s get the flower back to Sinner. I have a feeling he’ll know if it’s special or not.” Angus’ lip curled as the tom’s name was mentioned; it seemed that the empath mainly revealed his feelings more than any other.
“Excuse me?” A soft voice interrupted them. “Is that beast gone?” A solid black molly with soft lavender sprouts and milky white eyes stepped from the ruins the wyvern had ran away from.
“A vegetation splice?” Angus muttered.
“Blossom splice.” The molly corrected. “My hearing is much better than my sight,” She tutted, “While I can’t see, I still am able to fight fine. Just not at the moment.” Her fluffy tail curled around her belly. She must be pregnant, Etheria mused. “I am,” The molly nodded leaving Etheria confused. “Due in two months.”
“We have a molly almost due as well,” Reign said. She paused with her nose towards the air and lifted her tail. “And now would be the perfect time to head back if you’d like,” She smiled, “One last thunderclap and the sun should be on its way out.” The thunder rolled and the rain started to let up. “Reign, by the way,” Reign introduced, “Weather senser.”
“Geni,” The molly said.
“Great! Angus can take the flower, that’s Angus by the way,” Reign said flippantly. “And Etheria can lead the way back.”

“So, what did Sinner say that flower does?” Angus plopped down to Etheria with a mouse in his jaws. He let her have the first bite; it was the first proper conversation they had between the two of them in a while. “Bring a cat back from the dead or something?”
“Increases the number of kits a molly has in their litter.” Etheria swallowed the mouse. “Sounds like a lot of work.”
“Oh, kits are fun!” Angus excitedly took a bite. “I love those little guys. Wouldn’t having a bunch of kits running around be great? You’d never be alone and always have something to do! Everyone grows to love kits.”
She wasn’t so sure about that. Kits seemed like a lot of work, and shouldn’t kittens be a result of a strong loving bond between two cats? The only feelings she was comfortable feeling where loneliness and fear as that was all she was used to. Now she was having practice of feeling content and safe but those were still foreign. But Angus seemed really happy and she didn’t want to stand in the way of someone’s happiness. Maybe one day someone would let her be happy.

“Minute please,” Sinner ushered Etheria into his medical den. “What the hell are you doing?”
“I don’t know what you mean?” Etheria stuttered.
“You don’t even like the tom,” Sinner argued.
“He’s a really nice cat, and I think we’re friends,” Etheria said.
“I wasn’t talking about friends,” Sinner shook his head, “Don’t start a family when you don’t even know what you want for yourself.”
“It’ll be fine,” But both her and Sinner knew she was lying. How could they know everything would be okay in the end? If their time at the Facility taught them anything, it was anything could go wrong and it must likely would. “I don’t love Angus, but I don’t know what else to do.”
“I can’t stop consenting adults,” Sinner sighed, “but I can advise them. You are still recovering from the Facility. He is still too unsure about himself and his decisions. This is a bad idea.”
“I’ll take your advice into consideration,” Etheria said softly. But again, they both knew the decision that would be made.

The current season is autumn! You can tell because the leaves are changing colors, and it's starting to get chilly! Although, that could just be the forest nymphs up to their usual mischief. Air element cats are having an especially lovely time frolicking around in the crunchy leaves, and predators are more inclined to leave them alone while they look for food. However, because of the chill it's a little easier for cats to fall ill, and births will become a little more difficult.

✧ With Sinner's help, Lani gave birth to three healthy kits: A tom, (air element), a molly, (air element), and a tom (water element). Unfortunately Lani is having trouble supplying milk, and will need 1 borage.

✧ The red tabby tom with yellow eyes, purple wings, and folded ears was colored by me.
