A cold breeze ruffled Scorpionclaw’s pelt exposing his skin and making him shiver. “I think we should head back now” He spoke to Bluesplash who stood next to him “alright, I think we should visit Palewing once we get back” Bluesplash replied. As they arrived back at camp Palewing was easily located, she was sitting a little outside of the nursery next to Dewfrost and kits where climbing all over them. “4, 5, 6, 7, 8!” Bluesplash laughed counting each small body surrounding their friend. “Squirrelnose and Wolftail left them here with us to get used to motherhood before our kits are born” Palewing mewed pretending to sound angry “This is my second litter so I don’t know why I would need more training, I raised one needy little tom on my own” Dewfrost said as well. “Palewing, I’ve been meaning to ask you this. Do you mind us naming one of your kits? After all we are the fathers.” Scorpionclaw mewed while scratching at the dirt under his paws to hide his embarrassment. Palewing looked shocked “Of course I don’t mind! You can name them all for what I care! They are both of your kits more then they are mine.” The two toms looked at each other before looking back at Palewing “Wow, thanks! You’ve done nothing but do us favours for all I can remember Palewing.” Bluesplash said to her with Scorpionclaw nodding in agreement. “It just pains me to see two toms who want nothing more than a happy family” Palewing mewed “And I will love your kits dearly” She finished. Scorpionclaw looked lovingly at his mate Bluesplash and then at Palewing “We thank you so much for this, and you can never forget how grateful we are.”

Droserathorn had been a part of several births. He usually left after everyone was settled and allowed the mate to see them. But this time, he was the mate. He never thought fatherhood would suit him, but as soon as he saw each kit, he knew he would do his best, no less. The tom was now pressing himself close to Riversnap, resting his chin on his mate’s hip. “They’re so perfect.” He sighed with a huge grin. Riversnap giggled. “I think that’s the most I’ve ever seen you smile.” She purred, flicking his cheek with her tail. The shaman chuckled, and looked down at his three kits. “They look like a mix of us.” He observed. Riversnap nodded. “The tom looks like you, just darker.” She added. “Yea, he got his good looks from me.” The new mother rolled her eyes at his words. “I was thinking Newtkit for him.” She meowed “When I was out for a walk yesterday, I saw a newt that was the same color. I thought it would be cute.” Droserathorn grinned. “That’s perfect.” He purred. He hadn’t really thought about names, but as his eyes watched his youngest daughter, one popped into mind. He swallowed nervously. “D-Do you mind if I name one?” He asked sheepishly. Rivernsnap laughed incredulously at him. “Of course not!” She giggled “They’re your kits! As long as it’s not something cruel, like Fleakit.” Droserathorn blinked in shock. “Who would name their kit after a parasite?” He growled. “Someone with a heart of grass.” A voice scoffed from the nursery entrance. “Agaricthroat!” Riversnap purred, nuzzling her friend as he came closer. “You didn’t think I would miss out on seeing your kits, did you?” The warrior asked “I’m their designated uncle, I’ve got to meet ‘em!” The new mother purred. “Well, meet Newtkit, and…” She trailed off, looking to Droserathorn. “Oleanderkit.” He completed, pointing to the lighter kit. “Oleanderkit.” His mate repeated lovingly. “We just need a name for the middle she-kit.” Agaricthroat tilted his head. “Didn’t you give Droserathorn a seed to plant?” He recalled “Her stripes look like a little seed on her flank.” The two new parents looked at each other and grinned. “Newtkit, Seedkit, and Oleanderkit.” The father sighed, nuzzling his mate. “Our kits are so perfect, Droserathorn.” She murmured “I love you so much.” The tom nodded. “I love you too.”

Droserathorn fidgeted in his sleep. He could’ve sworn he heard rustling nearby, but he flicked an ear and curled up tighter. Suddenly, he felt something small and warm prod his shoulder. His head shot up and his fur went on end. Between his paws stood Oleanderkit, wide-eyed in fear. The moon glinted in her green eyes and she scuttled back. Droserathorn took a big breath, calming his heart from the scare. “Oleanderkit.” He huffed “What d’you think you’re doin’?” The small kit shuffled her paws. “I-I couldn’t sleep. Newtkit kept kicking me, and Seedkit snores.” She mewed “Plus I missed you. Why didn’t you say goodnight to us?” The shaman sighed, pulling her close. “I’m sorry darlin’.” He meowed, licking his daughter’s head. “Today was a long day, and by the time I was done storing my herbs you were already asleep.” Oleanderkit huffed and stuck her nose in the air. Droserathorn chuckled. He hugged her close to his chest and she curled up against his paws. “Here, let me make it up to you. There’s this lullabye my mother used to sing to me when I couldn’t sleep.” Oleanderkit beamed. “Oh, yes yes!” She squeaked. “You have to settle down first” Her father told her, and she instantly stopped moving, getting comfortable against his arms. Droserathorn took a deep breath and cleared his throat. “The night breeze is blowing. The sun is asleep. The sky is dark, but darling don’t weep. The dew will come, the sun will arrive. But for now, my sweet, close your eyes. In the morn’ you can play, but here, my darling, we must stay…” He trailed off as Oleanderkit drifted into sleep. “Works every time.” He yawned quietly, resting his head next to hers. He fell asleep thinking of fond memories of his childhood, memories he would help Oleanderkit make. In his dreams, he awoke in the Garden, and Aita walked to him.

The next morning, Riversnap stood proudly, the three kits tumbling around her paws. “RavenClan, I present to you Newtkit, Seedkit, and Oleanderkit!” She cried with joy. The cats gathered erupted into purrs and murmurs of cuteness. “I also have something to announce.” Droserathorn stepped forward. The shaman motioned for Oleanderkit to follow him. She did, but was very confused. “As you all know, the Guardian has a plan for us. Last night, he visited me in my dreams. He told me that the next Shaman must come from the direct bloodline of the previous. He has chosen Oleanderkit to be the next shaman. When she is able to, I will take her as my apprentice.” He finished. Looking down, he saw excitement in his daughter’s eyes. “I can’t wait!” She squeaked. Looking back to Riversnap she grinned from ear to ear. “Mamma did you hear that?” She mewled “I’m going to be a shaman!” Riversnap giggled. “Yes, dear I know. Congratulations.” The Clan cheered the litter, and Droserathorn looked down at his successor. He would make sure she would become the best shaman RavenClan had ever seen.

“Stop!” Jaguarslip cried, burying his face into his paws with embarrassment. “Jaguar has a crush! Jaguar has a crush!” Agaricthroat sang joyfully. Haypelt laughed as the warrior’s dark face grew hot and red. “It’s not a crush!” Jaguarslip promised “I really like him!” Agaricthroat chuckled, are you at least going to tell us his name?” Jaguarslip eyed his friend. “His name is Seismicwhisper. He’s from ChessClan.” He meowed quietly. “Seismicwhisper.” Agaricthroat echoed “Isn’t that a hyperbole?” Haypelt shook his head. “Oxymoron.” He corrected, taking another bite of his meal. Agaricthroat chuckled again, resting his tail on his friend’s back. “I’m glad you found a tom.” He purred to Jaguarslip “You two seem like a perfect match. I’d love to meet him sometime.” Haypelt nodded. “I suppose I’m the only single one of our friend group now.” He sighed with fake sadness. He was truly happy for them. Unlike the other two, though, he was very much into she-cats. Agaricthroat noticed his change in mood, and gave him a half smile. Haypelt looked over his shoulder and his eyes landed on the new dappled she-cat that joined RavenClan recently. “Eyeing Reefpelt, are we?” Jaguarslip meowed slyly. Haypelt’s head snapped back to the group. “What?” He meowed, eyes wide. “You don’t need to act coy.” Agaricthroat purred “She’s a pretty she-cat. We can help you if you want.” Haypelt huffed. “I don’t need your help.” He determined. “Really?” His two companions said simultaneously. “Positive.” He assured. Agaricthroat smirked. “If you’re so confident why don’t you go talk to her?” He meowed silkily. Jaguarslip agreed. Before long, Haypelt found himself walking on shaky legs towards the new addition. He swallowed as he followed her long legs to her lithe frame and pretty face. Licking his lips, he cleared his throat and waited for Antlerpool to retreat. The tom nodded, took a sharp breath, and sauntered confidently up to his target. “Hey.” He said smoothly “You’re Reefpelt right?” The she-cat nodded with a little smile. “My name’s Haypelt. We have the same suffix, and therefore we are automatically required to be friends.” He meowed with a smile. Reefpelt gave a little giggle. “Okay.” She meowed “I’d like that.” Haypelt gave a nervous chuckle. “Have you been shown around the camp yet?” He asked, offering to walk with her. “No I haven’t. Would you like to show me?” She meowed. Haypelt nodded, and the two set off to walking. The tom gave a look of ‘I told you so’ to his two friends, and started his tour with Reefpelt.

Season: New-Leaf (I know the change was friday but I started these before then and used these rolls.)
Weather: The snow has mostly melted away, causing flooding. The rainy days also don't help with that. However prey have come out of the burrows in search of food a better place to live, making times plentiful. Even the medicine cats are finding herbs easier to find as they sprout out like weeds. Kittings will run smoother now as well and patrols will run into cats more often.

As you all have may noticed CaC has its very own lineart! The lines were created by the very talented Grey_Hoodie and are being colored in by various other mods, mini mods and the CaC artists. Allowing us to use the lineart for your cats lets us give more unique patterns as we are limited to free to use pictures. If you want your cats to be transferred onto the lineart all you have to do is get in contact with a mod and the team will take care of it.

I have also noticed that a lot of you have not been adding pebbles correctly. Remember, every post you make you get five pebbles automatically. Patrols will sometimes bring back extra pebbles they find as well! Pebbles can be used here at the cac store anytime!
