Moonclan has started settling down in a large mountainous area, their territory is mostly covered in trees and rarely do they see the sky through the tree tops. They’re planning to make their camp in a large cave they found, a waterfall shields the cave but there’s a rocky passage leading behind the waterfall. The cave is one of the only spots in their territory where they can see the sky clearly, the centre of the cave has no roof but the little tunnels within the cave, which will be made into dens, have high roofs and gives the cats plenty of space. Moonclan is a very laid back clan, they’re easy going and normally deals with things as they come. Moonclan treats all its members as family, everyone is respected and cared for, they love to spend time with each other and are rarely off by themselves, the Queens are never alone whilst raising their kits, the whole clan tends to the kits and their needs. Though they’re quite a relaxed clan, Moonclan is fierce in battle and rarely do they back down. Their eyes are used to the dark and they are exceptional night time hunters, they move easily through the rough terrain and rarely get cracked paw pads. They’re quite long-legged cats, but they also have large and muscular bodies suited to the prey they hunt, their most common prey is eagles, most prey in their territory are quite large but some of the smaller prey that can be found include: mice, squirrels and frogs. The clan’s prey pile would usually consist of multiple bird species, snakes and small mammals. A large hunting group should be able to bring down a Capybara, they give a lot of nutrients to the cats and would normally last them a long time.

The clan has already earned themselves a reputation so early in the makings, most cats who have heard of them know them as dark pelted cats who are barely seen during the day, you would only spot shadows on the outskirts of their borders but other than that they’re not seem until the sun sets. Some cats believe Moonclan to be a clan of nocturnal cats, some believe that the moon is what gives the clan their energy. Most of Moonclan’s rumours aren’t true, but there’s one that is; the cats of Moonclan are, sort of, nocturnal, they wake early to patrol and hunt but then they retreat to their cave and spend most of the day asleep but when the sun sets, they are full of energy and spend most of the night either bonding in the cave or playing about in the territory.

camp:
a cave opening was covered by a rock slide, but there is one opening just big enough for cats to squeeze through one at a time. following the main path, they come to a large cavern with a hole in the center of the roof that allows sunlight to stream in and heat the gathering cavern. they keep large branches with leaves on them to help sweep away the snow if some collects in the gathering cavern. the biggest branch belongs to the warriors, where each cat claims a spot and fills their nest with the feathers off their prey. the second biggest branch is the medicine den, with hollows in the walls for the medicine cat to store his/her herbs in. the next biggest branch is the nursery, where the softest down feathers go to keep young kits warm. the entrance to this branch is covered by vines to help trap the heat of the breaths of the queens. the next to smallest branch is where the apprentices sleep, and their nests tend to have the worst feathers as they'll only be apprentices for a short time and the warriors like to make them miserable as the warriors before them made them miserable as apprentices. the branch slightly bigger than the apprentice branch belongs to the elders, and they rarely spend time in there as they prefer to be in the gathering cavern with every other cat. the smallest branch belongs to the leader.

[ Nettleblaze gestures for Timberpaw to wait in their den before making his way to Scorchstar's den to report the results of the medicine cat apprentice's final assessment. Several moments later, the leader and medicine cat emerge together to call a clan meeting. Nervously, Timberpaw hurries to join them. Early into the ceremony, Timberpaw perks up happily when he realizes that he has passed his assessment and Scorchstar is giving him his full name that Nettleblaze had picked out for him. Timberpaw, now Timberleaf, puffs his chest out proudly as his clanmates cheer his new name ]
[ Daisypatch's patrol struggles to find large pieces of prey but they do manage to find three mice before returning back to camp ]
[ Rabbitmask's patrol is a little luckier than Daisypatch's patrol and they bring back two squirrels and a rabbit ]
[ Nettleblaze noses through the wilted remains of the herbs that the first snow killed. The grey tabby medicine cat let out a defeated sigh and picks up the wintergreen, sweetsedge and rosemary that he and Timberleaf had managed to scavenge before returning back to camp ]
[ Appleclaw's patrol was about to return back to camp when Scorchstar noticed movement among the snow. The Shiningclan leader stopped and surveyed his surroundings closer, stiffening in surprise when he noticed a pair of green eyes peering out from the snow. Scorchstar called for the apprentice to come join them ]
[ Ashpaw eagerly heads out to the training grounds for some battle practice. He picks up on the skill easily and passes the session ]
[ While Ashpaw did his battle training, Emberpaw was tasked to follow the apprentice and not be detected, then to attack Ashpaw when the time was right. Luckily for Emberpaw, her brother never picked up that he was being watched so she passed the session! ]
[ After harassing a busy Nettleblaze for several days, the medicine cat and his apprentice finally settle down to check Nighrfrost. Nettleblaze slowly goes through the process, pointing out signs that Nightfrost was expecting kits to Timberleaf. After what felt like forever, Nightfrost happily left the den to tell Birchstorm the news that they were going to be parents ]

On the outskirts of a large city is a neighborhood that is always evolving. Sometimes it feels as if the changes are meant to harm the community, but in the end things adapt and make the changes benefit in some way.

Territory: A large chunk of the city that has buildings, skyscrapers, alleys, parks and houses.

Dangers: Upwalkers are the main threat to the cats in the neighborhood. They are constantly trying to catch strays, either to take them home and make them as kittypets or take them to the pound to eventually become a kittypet or worse. They are also always changing the neighborhood, adding or removing their nests, anything they can do to create change. Cars, the second biggest threat to the neighborhood cats, though it is learned at an early how to navigate and watch the horrid things. Dogs, not just the ones owned by the upwalkers but strays that roam just as the cats do. Hawks and owls that make their nests at the top of skyscrapers or in the tall trees of parks often hunt the younger and smaller cats as well as the same prey the cats do.

Prey: The neighborhood cats hunt mice (1), finches (1), pigeons (3), sparrows (3), small fish (2). With upwalkers around there are bound to be a few good ones that often leave out kibble (2) for the cats, though it isn’t the most desirable it is food.

Ranks: There is no true ranks in the neighborhood. There is a cat that controls the neighborhood and is almost always on the move, protecting all that reside in their domain. There are alleycats, loners, rogues and even kittypets that roam around. Some cats come and go while others are to scared to leave the plot of an upwalker nest they call home. There can be young cats that become lost or separated from their mothers as they travel and the leader often takes care of them. The leader knows how to use herbs and can heal the cats that need it, though herbs can be hard to come by in the city.

Traditions: There are currently no traditions in the neighborhood.

Taiga notices a weird dip in the snow just ahead of Swanmask but is unable to find a way to communicate the danger to her fellow warrior. Swanmask stumbled into a hole underneath the snow and sprains her paw. The she-cat will need to rest in camp for a moon to give it time to heal ]
[ Frostnose carefully nipped the stalk of celandine, gently setting it down next to the small pile of ivy that he had already gathered. None of the Mapleclan cats had any eye problems at the moment but he knew someone would eventually. Plus, celandine only bloomed in leafbare so it was best to get it while she still could. Satisfied with his pile, Frostnose gathered it up and headed back to camp, where Fogpaw was already putting away the wintergreen, sweetsedge and mallow they had gathered earlier ]
[ Heronswoop, Doveflight, Whitesong and Heathertuft decide to take their apprentices down to the forest to practice climbing. Scrap, Applepaw and Viperpaw immediately take to climbing and easily pass. Lynxpaw gives up on trying to follow the she-cats and fails after he rips a claw on the bark ]

The spray of running water splashed against the large tom's nose as he jumped through the curtain of water that acted as the entrance to the cave he'd found earlier in the day, the tom couldn't believe his eyes when he saw it - it was perfect for a camp! The tom headed deeper into the cave, a smile constantly on his warm face as he looked every which way, he could feel the excitement bubbling inside him. As his olive green eyes scanned the barren ground he released a small sigh and allowed for the smile to fall from his face, if he wanted clan-mates, a family, he'd need to find food. He turned and headed back out, jumping down the thin ledge of rocks that lead up to the cave entrance and made his way into the dense forrest that surrounded the mountains, determined to bring something back.

WEATHER REPORT - LEAF-BARE
Leaf-bare is here! Snowflakes fall silently on the ground, too little to coat the ground in snow as of now, but as
weeks go by that'll all change. Warriors should be sent out on hunting patrols more often now to stock up
before all the prey takes shelter from the cold.

Still, older cats are feeling the cold in their bones, and the elders may be complaining about the nail-biting cold. Kits, queens, and elders should stay indoors for most, if not all, of their days, where at least the cold wind won't reach them. And if cats feel the cold, so can the prey. Mice, squirrels, shrews, and all other sort of prey-creatures are determined to survive through the winter season by either hibernating or hiding from the cold and predators. Queens will be less likely to birth many kits per litter, and there will be an increased chance of queens and/or kits developing potentially life-threatening complications during birthing.

[ Watching from above, the cats of StarClan watch sadly as two of EchoClan's members leave to join other Clans. While they have no say over anyone's final decisions, many agree that choosing to join another Clan is no easy choice, and respects the decisions that Snakeshade and Hurricanejaw have made. StarClan wishes the two cats only the best in their new Clans. ]
[ Foamsplash catching the Red Plague is something not even StarClan foresaw. Those who were struck down the plague when it first hit EchoClan know that many cats will die, just as they had, but they can only hope for the best and watch over their Clan. ]
[ Crowcloud and Mousepaw are great medicine cats, but they are only merely mortals. They, being busy from checking up on Felicia's health and Foamsplash's Red Plague, do not catch Splitear, Cassie, Cassius, and Ankara and their paws hurting. Perhaps, Crowcloud soothes himself, StarClan will be kind and not let any of his Clanmates die. ]
[ While herb-hunting, Crowcloud and Mousepaw stumble across a precious patch of catmint growing far away from their own clutch. While the stalks are not ready, Mousepaw promises Crowcloud he would do anything to care for the patch, just in case they are needed. They do bring back the Yarrow x1, Lovage x1, and Goatweed x1 they collected back to camp. ]
[ In the midst of EchoClan's newest troubles, however, is one thing that StarClan can be positive about. They celebrate the makings of five new apprentices - Grousepaw, Beaverpaw, Porcupinepaw, Hedgehogpaw, and Thistlepaw. They only can hope that these young apprentices won't be affected by the dreaded Red Plague. ]
[ All apprentices learn their respective skill; however, Squirrelpaw spent too long in the frigid water when she went to train with her mentor (swimming), and developed a cough. She will need a moon of rest and a cough-curing herb (lovage, bright-eye, catmint, or chickweed) to recover. ]
[ While hunting, Rabbitwish's patrol stumble across a tall tree, complete with an eagle's nest. They become worried, but seeing no sign of any birds of prey nearby, the patrol continue on their hunting, and manage to bring back Mouse x1 and Vole x1 to the Clan, along with the news of the eagle's nest. Perhaps they should keep a close eye on it? ]
[ Frecklewish's patrol is a little more successful than Rabbitwish's hunting patrol, when Wickerfur scented rabbit. The patrol brings back to the Clan Rabbit x1 and Mouse x2 after Mossycreek and Icefang work together to catch the mice. ]
[ Acciaberry's border patrol seems to go uneventfully, until they come across an old badger den. While the scent of badger is stale, and there is not a trace of any recent activity, they do discover that two snakes inhabit this den. Thinking quickly, and after determining that these aren't adders (poisonous), Thunderstep, Strawberrypatch, and Acciaberry attack the snakes after Haybriar lured them out into the open. No cats were hurt, fortunately, and all come back to camp unharmed. ]
[ Hazelburrow's border patrol decides to go back to where another patrol had found the dying mother and the three new kits the previous moon, just in case there was something else, like fox or badger. However, they find nothing of interest, and Floodstone even manages to catch Pigeon x1 that practically flew into her face. The patrol is happy about the turn of events, and comes back in a good mood, along with the fresh-kill. ]
