“Oi, Driftfeather! You coming or not? Last time I checked you’re a warrior, not a kit-sitter,” the sharp voice snapped the young black and white tom from his very intense game of Moss-ball with the small ball of fluff known now as Seedkit, the young she-kit he had found on a patrol a mere two moons ago. Driftfeather mumbled under his breath as he tossed the ball back to Seedkit.

“Guess I have to go now. I’ll be back,” he said. The truth was, Driftfeather was just a big kit himself, and he had never seemed to outgrow his kit-like personality.

“Aww, come on,” Seedkit whined.

“I shouldn’t be gone too long. We’ll continue as soon as I get back, and you are so going down!” Driftfeather purred.

Driftfeather! Now, let’s go!”

"Alright, I'm coming, calm down," Driftfeather muttered. The tom sighed and reluctantly padded over to the camp entrance, where a very disgruntled Sootfang sat. He gave a disapproving glance in his direction before he shook his head and slipped out of camp and into the forest, with Driftfeather following. The tom was looking forward to returning to camp and finishing their little match. The frail she-kit had begun to grow on him, and he hoped that he’d be lucky enough to take her on as his first apprentice. The young warrior enjoyed the company of the little ones, much unlike the new deputy of CloverClan, who seemed to be like every deputy ever; impatient, grumpy, and no time for kits or any fun at all. As they walked through the forest, his mind wandered. Seedkit’s condition had definitely improved, although she still hadn’t revealed what had happened, but that could wait. As the two toms reached the border and the scents of the forest filled his nostrils, he managed to focus on the task at hand; patrolling, and perhaps paying attention was a good choice. The less scolding looks he received from the long-haired grump, the better.

Sitting atop the SkyRock glancing across the somewhat bustling camp was the outline of a fluffy gray tom, staring contently at his Clan. CloverClan had begun to grow, with a good deputy, a wise medicine cat, and a fine warrior, along with the youthful kit they had found. He flopped down on the edge of the rock, and watched as today’s border patrol left, consisting of Driftfeather and his newly appointed deputy, Sootfang. The tom could come across as gruff and rude, but Smokestar was satisfied with his decision of making him second-in-command. His eyes darted from the camp entrance over where Fennelstripe was sorting his herbs and occasionally glancing over at Seedkit, who was now tossing the ball of moss back and forth, waiting for her new friend to return home. Things were going well for the small Clan, but Smokestar was a bit more on the cautious side, and things could easily change. It was now Green-Leaf, and before the cats knew it, Leaf-Fall would eventually be upon them, and that was when the prey would begin hiding away for the winter. If CloverClan wanted to survive, they would have to be prepared. He made a mental note to go out hunting once the border patrol returned, maybe he’d even ask a cat or two to join him. But, for now, he’d enjoy the sunshine and warmth and relax for a bit, although it wouldn’t last long.

As the black and white tom padded over the sand, he walked past a rocky place with a hole in the middle. Seeing the hole glow a dusky color, he made a note to come back to it after he hunted and padded towards a grassy area that held a small pool. After a little hunting, he came back to the glowing rock cave and crawled into it. "Hello?" Anhingstar meowed, tail flicking as he got to the bottom of it. "StarClan sent me, so I hope this is the place to talk with them, the black and white tom meowed. "I'd like to request a Medicine cat to help me start my clan right," the new leader meowed nervously.

Laurelstar had gone early in the morning before her clan makes awoke to ask starclan for a deputy. She though this the best solution, and easy way to not step on her clan mates paws. She knew at least Bluestorm wasn't so happy with her work so far, and she has to live up to this, she needed everyone's trust. It didn't matter to her that she would lose sleep this night, it mattered to her that everything would be alright. As curled up in the hopes of catching a little more sleep, she found herself wandering what the new deputy would be like, in the hopes they did show. Some time passed when she realized she wasn't going to fall asleep she went for a walk and that was when she found him. On the edge of the clan, a striking, fluffy male. He approached, only giving a cool nod before asking what they would be doing today.

Bluestrom trailed behind Laurelstar and Sandbrush, the two which were deep in conversation. So deep Bluestrom had to wonder if there was something else there. But of course not, the two hadn't known each other that long. Still, it was clear that her leader favored the male, so she guessed she was grateful that she didn't just give him the deputy position. Still, she knew she'd have to gossip about this hunt later.

And that she did, with Fernstep on patrol. Fernstep though didn't seem too interested in the news though and tried to get Bluestrom to focus on patrolling.

"It would make her no worse or better of a leader if she fancied someone"
"Unless she focused on him instead of us"
"That's just what you want to happen, not anything thing close to what could".

Bluestorm huffed. How could she think that? Sure, Bluestorm was doubtful, but she didn't want her leader to fail did she? Lost in thought, she didn't notice Sandbrush stop in front of her. "Quiet" he called.

Two small cats male and female came barrelling through, who halted to a stop when they spotted Sandbrush. The male looked at the female with a wide smile. "I told you we would find a clan!"

Weather - Green-Leaf
Summer. Summer starts with little warning.
One day, intense rain falls cover the clans' lands, and the
next, the sun blazes down on them instead.
The sudden brightness quickly dries up the puddles and
flooding that many clans have encountered, but the extent
of them means some floods can still be found.
Additionally, the sudden brilliant heat means that forest
fires are beginning to break out among the hotter clans.
Of course, some days are still colder than others, but for
most, the sun is certainly proving its fiery reputation.
Prey can feel the heat too, and fortunately, most clans
send out their patrols in mornings and evenings, the only
time that the prey can bear during the day.
Some mothers might be exhausted by the heat, but certainly
their kittings should still be faring well for a while.

All was quiet outside the bear's cave. A few birds peeped their songs but they held a quiet reverence, and the wiser ones knew not to sing too early. The bear did not take well to being woken before his time was due.
Even the sunlight seemed to be afraid, dancing around the trees like a young kit, but shying away from the sides nearer the cave, and only briefly flickering past the entrance if its cover in the form of the tall pines by the entrance was broken by the wind.
And the bear himself was peaceful.
If he was going to drive these usurpers out - or drive them to at least be cunning and resourceful enough to not eradicate his own food supplies, by taking things he wouldn't dream of catching - he needed to be at his full strength.
It was well into summer, and he had caught a decent amount of prey, although he could certainly tell the effect those cats were having already in some areas of his territory. His weight for hibernation would be building up soon. Probably whomever came in the winter would be more likely to win, as he'd be sleepy and a little out of practice from that, but he required less food in the dead of winter, so the need for their fights being his victories was at least somewhat diminished.
He was already a larger target than Slatestar had met before, and proud of that. He would be no push-over.
Awaking at dawn was a bad experience, and the bear was certainly not pleased with those birds (who quickly ceased their songs as they heard his lumbering movements from deep within the dark recesses of the cave) for their act, but his lack of desired sleep was certainly mitigated at the sweet thought of perhaps eliminating one of those pesky cats for good soon.

Fennelstripe looked back at his medicine stores. He was sure something was missing... He'd counted over and over again, and every time he looked, he was sure his count was lower than it had been before, but he hadn't used anything.
And then he groaned loudly in exasperation, and trooped back out of the medicine den.
"Driftfeather!" The bicolour tom jumped, fixing yellow eyes on the black mackerel tabby. "What in Silverpelt are you doing with that moss?!"
Seedkit seemed to answer that quite well, running forward, and grabbing the moss from him as his attention was drawn away, and looking back cheekily as she drew away with it.
"Where'd you find it?!"
"Uh..." Driftfeather glanced nervously elsewhere.
"Moss is a valuable supply for a medicine cat! It's needed to supply queens with water when they're on he cusp of kitting. You can't just take it!"
"Do you want it back? I'm sure it can't be that hard to just find more moss."
Fennelstripe huffed.
"That moss is all dirty now." He knew he shouldn't be as annoyed as he was, even if Driftfeather was highly irresponsible, he had just been meaning to entertain their clan's only kit. "It's no use to anyone who's thirsty. But next time, find moss from somewhere else."
"Okay, Fennelstripe!" Seedkit said.

The vision before Aurorastar's eyes was, by now, not an unfamiliar one. She'd been leader long enough to recognise Starclan territory quickly by now, and the lingering memory of a burning pain creeping into her throat and chest as the water rushed around her served a clear answer of why, too.
It being clear didn't make it easier to accept, or less terrifying to have just experienced.
But her breathing was slow. Such was the manner of drowning. The water goes around one's mouth, and they can't breathe, and they panic... and then suddenly, all is calm, their mouth opens - free will to the Dark Forest - and the pain makes their mind fade away - or else, they remain calm, and blissful, still aware of it, until, several minutes later, sleep comes to guide them to whatever lay next. Neither was a good way to go.
In the light of the stars, and what shimmered down to the forest floor, there stood a beautiful silvery-grey she-cat, though with how spirits worked here, it was impossible to tell what tone she'd been in life, only that she'd been a tabby cat. She looked old and experienced, and so frail that tiny gusts of wind from around them were enough to make her outline dance and shimmer.
It was the cat that had given her her second life from Starclan. But...
"Where's h-"
The tabby cat hesitated for just a moment, thinking how best to put it, before speaking. "He's moved on to his next set of duties.
"Repairing your injuries from drowning was not so easy for us, Aurorastar. It took two lives. And there are surely more damaging injuries yet you could have sustained. Having nine ... seven lives, does not, and will not, make you immortal. You must still be careful, and have an eye out for any traitors your clan must encounter."
Aurorastar opened her mouth to reply, just to hear the molly tut once and gently.
There were other noises around her by now, and as she faded quickly into consciousness, she was sure that the tabby molly faded twice as fast as her surroundings.

Don't worry about that, I'm not going to judge for longer pauses between posts occasionally, as everyone gets busy spots in their lives, and writer's block is a frequent problem for people generally.

Anhingastar requests a medicine cat at the MoonCave

There was dark and still and silence for several moments.
And then that changed.
Light bounced up from the water outside, dancing along the rock walls of the cave, a vibrant blue catching in places, and, over the course of a few seconds, filling up the gaps between the glinting lights with blue, which swiftly changed in colour, so that the illuminated patches started to make a scene along the walls of the cave.
Anhingastar could still hear the outside world just fine, but its relevance seemed to fall away, and his ears tuning far more closely into the land he saw in the cave lights.
A warrior on one wall looked at him, listening to his request, and she nodded her tri-coloured head at him to hear it. Behind her, a few kits played - a calico molly like herself, and another who was presumably her son, a ginger bicolour. Were it not for the stars glimmering in their pelts, they might have been mistaken for living kits. But that was true of every cat he could see in this scene. Every one of them, had they not been warped to fit the cave surface, and not had that starry twinkling in their fur, might have been a living, breathing cat.
"They'll be on their way shortly, Anhingastar. It's good to see a wise choice. Clans need a strong leadership most, and a desire to follow your ancestors' guidance is a wise one indeed."
It felt for a moment that she was talking to him like her own child, but she certainly wasn't his mother. He couldn't help the feeling in his gut that she really was one of his ancestors, however far back that must have been.

weather: green-leaf.
during green-leaf, you can catch a max of six pieces of prey. during patrols, you are more likely to run into twolegs and their dogs, and rogue groups will most likely start to try and settle on your territory, so keep an eye out. you are still likely to get floods, but there will be more droughts towards the middle of green-leaf. the cats in your clan can get dehydrated easier during green-leaf than they would in other seasons. your clan will still receive new cats but not as much as you would in new-leaf.

EARLIER THIS MOON:
Snowstar felt his pelt prickle. The mountain-side border was not safe. Someone....or something was lurking here.

A yowl was the only warning Snowstar had. The cat, larger then Snowstar pushed him to the ground and Sonwstar felt teeth sink into his neck. He gasped. He felt the pain and world slowly fading away. He was losing a life.

Snowstar awoke in a starry version of his territory. He shook out his fur. How long was he going to be here? Then a familiar figure stepped forwards. Cherish, Snowstar's mother, who had given him his first life.

They rubbed muzzles. Cherish was the first to pull back. "My son....you know you are losing a life." She mewed. Snowstar nodded. "Yes." WIP
