Round Two
There was chaos in the village upon finding Kichou’s body in the state it was in. No one was willing to point fingers, until Maria piped up with a vote on who to kill. Her voice was the one that startled the rest into beginning to vote. No one expected her, the most caring villager to want to hurt anyone, but as she had said herself, it was time for action. If they didn’t act then more villagers would fall prey to the wolves.
So the villagers ganged up on Cynder, a girl that seemed suspicious in their eyes. But the girl with the dragon tail had a surprise defender. One of the two half-cats was nearly certain that Cynder was innocent. She, Milah, also was suspicious in the villagers eyes and wasn’t able to save Cynder. So in the end she voted for herself. That resulted in a tie.
After that display the shocked villagers headed off to bed, unable to decide which was more suspicious; the half-cat, hell-bent on saving the dragon girl, or the dragon girl herself?
All except Dasy6798, who simply couldn’t sleep, and Otsoa‘s guardians. One by one the guardians found themselves falling asleep while they were supposed to be patrolling. But the lone villager still could not sleep.
Dasy was perched up on the voting board when she heard an odd sound behind her. The little cat dismissed it as nothing and headed off toward her home finally tired enough to sleep. But she would not make it home. As she padded off toward her home she heard the noises grow stronger and more discernable. She flexed her claws and turned to face the one that was following her. The cat froze, looking very much like an ice sculpture, as she was met with the face of a wolf.
All that was left of the cat in the morning were a few bones. The wolf left no message.
During the night Wingforce awoke to a single howl. With a start she jumped out of bed and grabbed her trusty sword. She looked cautiously out her window, but nothing was out there, not even the guardians. Wondering about this she slowly made her way out of the house. When she was about five feet away from the house she heard a faint ‘click’ sound and then felt more then saw her house go up in flames.
Furious, she looked around for the one who had caused her to lose her home. “You won’t be needing that place anymore,” a voice whispered. She turned in the direction of the voice but could not see the source of it. Then from the opposite direction she heard, “No, none of you villagers will be needing your homes. You won’t live long enough.”
Wing knew she should be scared, she was pretty much surrounded, but she wasn’t scared. She was furious, she had spent a lot of time making that place what it was, and now it was up in flames behind her. Those wolves would PAY for what they did. She’d make sure of it, even if she died.
The wolves themselves were quite amused by Wing’s attitude. They didn’t get prey like her very often. So they were quite content to let her TRY to get revenge. From each side a large grey shape emerged. They had been hidden in the shadows waiting for the right time to strike.
Wing looked from one wolf to the next a scowl on her face. If she was going to die she was going to at least HURT one of them first. She charged at the smaller of the two, sword drawn. The wolf stepped out of the way, but not without being nicked in the paw. It howled in pain, for any animal’s paws are very tender.
A triumphant smile crossed Wings face for a moment before her face settled back into a very angry look. One of the wolves laughed as they danced out of the way of her blade again.
“You’re bound to get tired eventually little villager,” the wolf snarled, amusement plainly evident in its voice.
Wing slashed at the wolves paws angrily at that remark. The sword made contact again, but stuck quite firmly. She backed quickly away, not realizing that her battle had taken her right back to her front door. Those few steps sent her right into the flames.
She tried to run away from the building, but he wolf ripped the sword out of its paw and stuck it through her chest.
Sometime during the night the flames died out.
The next morning a scream can be heard throughout the whole village. Racing to see what is wrong they find Milah staring at the remains of Wingforce.
Her own sword is still stuck through her body and as her house didn’t burn down completely they can see that her lower half has been eaten off. And her upper half is slightly charred.
The words:
We saved some of the barbequed cat for you.
Have been written in blood next to her body.
NO ONE was lynched.
Dasy6798 and Wingforce were eaten.
