Venus was glad she had found a golden tabby, which meant good omen to her Tribe. She decided to make him a prey hunter. He introduced himself as Apollo, the god of the sun, which was fitting for his appearance.

Apollo and Venus go on a patrol.

- Weather Report -
Current Season: Summer.
while the heat can be bothersome for most, cats are reassured by the fact that the nights seem to grow a little bit colder, which could possibly mean that autumn might be on its way. there seems to be a lot of prey creeping out of the woodwork, so cats will have an easier time hunting today.

Sunwatcher sighed, flopping down onto her side next to Bird. "You doing alright?" Bird asked, looking up briefly from her grooming. "You've been moping around the cave all moon." The grey tabby touched her nose to Sunwatcher's ear, her whiskers twitching slightly in amusement at the healer's attitude.

"Hiss has been avoiding me. I wish he would just talk to me." Sunwatcher mewed, shifting onto her back, exposing her belly. Bird leaned forward and nipped at Sunwatcher's belly, causing the she-cat to squeal and flop back over.

"He's avoiding you because he's embarrassed, Sunwatcher. You rejected him." Bird pointed out, her ear twitching. Sunwatcher felt her fur grow hot and she looked down at her paws. "Do you like Hiss?"

Sunwatcher sighed loudly, lashing her tail. "I don't know, Bird. I just don't want to think about having a mate right now." The brown, ginger and white tabby pushed herself to her paws. "Are we going to go hunting now or not? Where's Nut and Thunder? Nut! Thunder!" The tribe healer called. Nut, the brown and white prey-hunter who had joined the tribe two moons ago, rounded a boulder and hurried over to the tribe healer and other hunter. Thunder followed soon after but at a much slower pace. "We're going hunting." She mewed to them.

The small hunting patrol made their way out of the cave, running into the returning border patrol. Hiss, who was at the lead of the group, looked over the hunting patrol before looking at Sunwatcher with a blank look. "Do you need a guard to go with the patrol?" He asked softly.

Sunwatcher looked back at him, trying her best to keep her expression blank. "No." She mewed before shouldering past him and bounding towards the Sacred Lake.

If he's going to be a pain, then so will I

It was a quiet evening in camp as most cats were chatting quietly with each other or had called it an early night. It was same in the nursery when Magpie had her two kits in bed already but of course Rain had everything to talk about.

"You said we are six moons old right? Can't we start our training now?" The grey and white tom almost pleaded with his mother.

Magpie let out a sigh and shook her head "You are still a kit, why don't you enjoy that while you can?" The mother tried to get her children to understand.

"I want to be a strong cave-guard like Sorrel and you won't let me practice anything. Dark is boring to play with because she complains when I barely touch her!" Rain wailed and as if to prove his point he swatted his sister.

With the quick and unexpected hit Dark let out a cry in shocked and glared at her brother "Mama! Rain hit me for no reason!" she cried.

"That's enough, Rain you should have not hit your sister because you are upset." Magpie separated them before continuing to talk with Rain "Look, if you promise to stop asking about becoming a to-be I will let you play with Sorrel when he is in camp." the mother sounded defeated when she said that but the look on Rain's face was worth it. "Not right now though! Wait till tomorrow or something." she called after the eager kit who was already close to the entrance of the den.

Sorrel had reported to Grassteller about the cat at the border and she insisted to go back out here and wait for them to come by again. The tom listened of course to her but found himself lonely and tired, he had to pace the border in order to stay awake now. "If only I could just go out there to find them!" he hissed at himself. He knew he could track them down but it was frustrating because he had to stay with in the borders.

The whole night seemed to pass and the ground was starting to create a path from where he was pacing "That's it." he meowed grumpily before leaving the border and into the unknown territory. He tracked the scent until it became stronger and stronger, noticing that is was still close to the tribe's territory.

The Tribe of Clouded Night

Postby web. » Fri Aug 11, 2017 5:12 am

Image
The Tribe of Clouded Night was a strong and long-lasting tribe that lived in a thick birch tree forest near a great prairie. Their healer, known as the Moonteller, was a tall black tom with blind eyes that were clouded, yet had flecks of white in them that resembled stars behind clouds. He was a just and kind ruler, respecting all cats in his tribe equally. The tribe came to an end abruptly, in a mysterious turn of events. It had seemed that the Tribe of Endless Hunting had become angry with the Moonteller, as he had begun to focus more on his family then his Tribe.
The Moonteller's mate had kits, and he spent all of his time with them.. one day, it seemed the Tribe had suddenly vanished. All that was left was a kit, and his mother. The she, named Moon on a Cloudless Night, took her kit to the Pool of Endless Stars, praying to The Tribe of Endless Hunters to keep him safe. With that, she left.

The Tribe of Clouded Night still remains in the Birch tree forest, but have now expanded themselves to the prairie. Tunnels originating from the center of the forest lead to the prairie. These tunnels are used for storing food, keeping the kit-mothers and kits warm, and for safety during leafbare. Above the tunnels is their main dens, made of sticks from the birch and brush from the bushes. They tend to line their nests with owl feathers, and sleep under the stars. Their dens are only used when it is raining, and if the weather becomes too fierce, they sleep in the tunnels.

The Pool of Endless Stars is located outside of the Tribe, and is a large pool of water with crystals and geodes covering the bottom of the pool. This causes the water to shine and glitter in the moonlight, as well as in the sunlight. The path to the Pool of Endless Stars is short, yet hard. The pool is located after a sharp cliff, in the bottom of a small ravine. The Moonteller must travel over the edge of the cliff and down a ledge that is a paw's width. When they reach the bottom of the cliff, they must follow in the paw prints etched into the clay that surrounds the pool. When wishing to come in contact with the Tribe of Endless Hunting, the Moonteller must drink from the pool when it becomes clouded, and it must be at night.

Leafbare is the hardest month for the tribe, as heavy snowfall drives the prey down into the ground. Using their acute sense of smell, the Prey-Hunters (Also known as the Owls by the Tribe members), are able to pinpoint where prey have made their dens and retrieve them from under the snow. However, most of the prey-hunters has issues with this, as it is quite hard to train.
Newleaf and Greenleaf are the easiest seasons for the tribe, as the prey is plentiful. This is when they train their To-Bes, and when kits are born.

Their traditions seem simple to the Tribe, but many new To-bes have trouble with them. Each prey-hunter must learn to catch a bird in flight, and must be able to pinpoint prey underground. When a To-be becoming a Prey-Hunter catches their first bird after mastering the skill, they prick a feather from the bird's wing and tie it into their fur. If a Prey-Hunter has a feather tied into their tail fur, it means that they are skilled in pinpointing prey underground; while if they have a feather tied behind their ear they are skilled in catching their prey in flight.
Guards have a similar tradition, except it includes clay markings. The guards of the tribe have two different jobs, one is to protect the tribe, while the other is to dig new tunnels and keep them secure. The guards which have a strong-suit in fighting have a mark across their face, from in-between their eyes to their nose and under the eyes. The guards who are better at digging the tunnels have a paw-print marking on their right shoulder.
The last tradition is from the very old days of the Tribe. Each kit born is chosen by the Moonteller and assigned to different roles in the tribe. When the kits open their eyes the Moonteller sends the Kit-Mother to the Pool of Endless Stars with a bundle of moss.
The Kit-Mother then fills the bundle with the star water, bringing it back and setting it in the center of camp. When the moon appears in the sky, the kits take a drink from the moss as the Moonteller does. Then, one by one, each member of the tribe takes a drink until the moss is dry.

Although the tribe feels safe in their tunnels, they do have many dangers ahead of them. Owls swoop through the trees, and can snatch up a kit. Foxes regularly pass by and can cause quite some trouble for the tribe. Some cats even perish on their way to the Pool of Endless Stars- their paws slip over the edge of the ledge. But the Moonteller does their best to ensure the safety of their tribe in any way they can.

(Is it possible for the leader to be the kit left behind by the old Moonteller and Moon on a Cloudless Night? If so could he look similar to them?)

    ๏ผด๏ผจ๏ผฅ ๏ผด๏ผฒ๏ผฉ๏ผข๏ผฅ:
the tribe of rising dusk is one of the older
tribes to arise. Starting off from a brown
rosetted she-cat whom raised the clan into
the strong one that stands today, teller of
awakening nights was and still a respected
cat. Now, many generations past, teller of
    rumbling dusk leads.
    ๏ผด๏ผจ๏ผฅ ๏ผฃ๏ผก๏ผด๏ผณ :
the cat's of rising Dusk are typically shades of
grey, black and white. They often have mark-
ings on them, whether it be rosettes, dappled
or marbled markings, it helps them blend into
their rocky surroundings. It is rare that they
    aren't these colours.
    ๏ผด๏ผจ๏ผฅ ๏ผฐ๏ผฒ๏ผฅ๏ผน: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The prey in these alpine regions are
often sought after by more than just the cats,
owls, badgers and foxes are a threat to them.
They will hunt fish, mice, squirrel & rabbit.
    ๏ผด๏ผจ๏ผฅ ๏ผด๏ผฅ๏ผฒ๏ผฒ๏ผฉ๏ผด๏ผฏ๏ผฒ๏ผน:
the territory consists of mostly rocky terrain,
rugged and untamed by man. It snows heavily
in these regions of mountain, and predators
seem to flourish here. Large birds and foxes
are a threat to the camp. The camp is of a few
small caves near to a stream that then turns
in a large river. To speak to ancestors, they will
go to the large caves at the peak of the mountain,
where there is a large cave filled with fireflys that
dance around at night, aswell as a small pool that
    is directly in the centre.

    ๏ผด๏ผจ๏ผฅ ๏ผด๏ผฒ๏ผก๏ผค๏ผฉ๏ผด๏ผฉ๏ผฏ๏ผฎ๏ผณ:
    the tribe holds many traditions,
each one specific. At the loss of a cat,
they will be buried underneath the
trilliums in the clan territory that run
near the river. When a cat become an
to-be they are to find the scale of a fish
in the stream. Becoming a guard or
a hunter, however, proves much more
difficult. Guards are supposed to watch
over the clan at night whilst different
guards try to sneak into the camp without
them noticing. Hunters are to bring atleast
one piece of prey before dawn.

tribe replies / 014.

Postby deimido » Sun Aug 13, 2017 3:36 am

- Weather Report -
Current Season: Autumn.
Autumn has officially arrived; the weather is growing a little colder by the day and prey isn't as abundant as it used to be during summer. It's best to stock up on kitting herbs or herbs that help out with illness, just so your tribe can be prepared for winter.

(apologies for the wait on these replies, guys!)

Tribe of Clouded Night | napola. wrote:Image

[ aaah i tried to find one who looks like a blend of both, hope he's alright! ]

    ๏ผด๏ผจ๏ผฅ ๏ผด๏ผฒ๏ผฉ๏ผข๏ผฅ:
the tribe of rising dusk is one of the older
tribes to arise. Starting off from a brown
rosetted she-cat whom raised the clan into
the strong one that stands today, teller of
awakening nights was and still a respected
cat. Now, many generations past, teller of
    rumbling dusk leads.
    ๏ผด๏ผจ๏ผฅ ๏ผฃ๏ผก๏ผด๏ผณ :
the cat's of rising Dusk are typically shades of
grey, black and white. They often have mark-
ings on them, whether it be rosettes, dappled
or marbled markings, it helps them blend into
their rocky surroundings. It is rare that they
    aren't these colours.
    ๏ผด๏ผจ๏ผฅ ๏ผฐ๏ผฒ๏ผฅ๏ผน: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The prey in these alpine regions are
often sought after by more than just the cats,
owls, badgers and foxes are a threat to them.
They will hunt fish, mice, squirrel & rabbit.
    ๏ผด๏ผจ๏ผฅ ๏ผด๏ผฅ๏ผฒ๏ผฒ๏ผฉ๏ผด๏ผฏ๏ผฒ๏ผน:
the territory consists of mostly rocky terrain,
rugged and untamed by man. It snows heavily
in these regions of mountain, and predators
seem to flourish here. Large birds and foxes
are a threat to the camp. The camp is of a few
small caves near to a stream that then turns
in a large river. To speak to ancestors, they will
go to the large caves at the peak of the mountain,
where there is a large cave filled with fireflys that
dance around at night, aswell as a small pool that
    is directly in the centre.

    ๏ผด๏ผจ๏ผฅ ๏ผด๏ผฒ๏ผก๏ผค๏ผฉ๏ผด๏ผฉ๏ผฏ๏ผฎ๏ผณ:
    the tribe holds many traditions,
each one specific. At the loss of a cat,
they will be buried underneath the
trilliums in the clan territory that run
near the river. When a cat become an
to-be they are to find the scale of a fish
in the stream. Becoming a guard or
a hunter, however, proves much more
difficult. Guards are supposed to watch
over the clan at night whilst different
guards try to sneak into the camp without
them noticing. Hunters are to bring atleast
one piece of prey before dawn.

Flameteller leads the new cat back to camp, introducing her to Sun as he drops his kill on the pile. All four cats go to sleep with smiles on their faces.

~THE NEXT DAY~

Flameteller woke early and trotted to the back into her den, through the narrow tunnel, and to the Cave of Flaming Water. She crouched in front of the gently roiling water and looked deep within.

"Oh, Great Ancestors, hear my cry!" She said as she stared into the glowing depths of the pool, "I need another guard to help keep my tribe safe."

after she spoke, she stared into the depths of the water, looking for any sign. She saw the faint outline of a cat, with vivid black stripes running through it's pelt. She smiled and gave a silent thank you as she left her den to start her day.

The rest of the clan was already awake and milling around, waiting for orders.

"Sun, Shadow, please go hunting for the tribe." She said before turning to her guard, "Ash, please join me. We will patrol and i need to find more herbs."

Flameteller led her cats out of the cave, eager to find the new cat that her ancestors promised her.
