"Don't worry, we will find her." Willowbolt said to him, trying to comfort him.
"She is too young, it has been too long..." He mumbled, looking almost dead on his paws.
Skydapple herded him towards his nest while Willowbolt went to talk to Jinxstar.
"We could not find any sign of her." she said sadly as she watched Birchfeather go.
Jinxstar shook his head and went towards his den with Willowbolt following. Both wanted to be with each other tonight, and in the morning he vowed that he would find her, even if it kills him in the process.
~THE NEXT DAY~
Jinxstar awoke to a commotion in camp, but he recognized it this time as the continued wails of Mulberry. He did not understand why Birchfeather was taking it so hard, as much as he knew that losing a kit was never a good thing. He looked over at Willowbolt, who was starting to stir as well. Together, the pair walked out of his den and towards camp.
"Alright, you all know what to do!" Jinxstar ordered as he looked at his gathered clan, "Birchfeather, Brindlethorn, come with me. We WILL find Wispkit today!"
Together, the three cats bounded out of camp.

While most don't who they are, they also aren't sure what they have to fear.
TERRITORY & INFO:
➨ Camp: ✘
➨ The Hollow Tree: ✘
You step into an unclaimed territory, your heart beating quite loudly. You search around, finding no trace or scent of any cats. You take a glance at the territory, seeing a few scattered logs, bushes, and mossy trees. You notice the vines hanging over you, and you stare into the trees, darkness hanging overhead. You luckily found your territory before nightfall, and now twinkling fireflies remain to welcome you. You stare at the beautiful place, few flowers, but many plants and possibly herbs to discover. All the prey is now sleeping, but you still have hope. You look around for any shelter, and find a hollow tree with a crack, just big enough to fit yourself. You squirm through the crack, scraping your fur a bit. You curl down and shut your eyes. This is home. As you begin to break into a deep slumber, you hear the crashing sounds of a nearby river..
SKILLS
Before you claimed that territory, you decided to explore and maybe try hunting. You broke into a crouch as soon as you saw a mouse, getting ready to pounce. You stalk closer, before pouncing and biting the mouse. It clearly gives up, falling limp in your jaws. You feel much prouder then when you found the territory, and decide to burry the mouse until later. Beginning to explore, you slip from a rock and fall in the rushing water. Luckily, you kick you legs and are able to swim out, efficiently for your first time trying. You decide to continue to search. You suddenly smell a rabbit, the wind gives the rabbit's scent to you, and thanks to your good nose, you track down the rabbit... An hour has passed, and you hear a sound. Not sure what it is, you decide to find out. You simply see a kittypet, and escort it back home.
PAST/HISTORY
Long after the main four clans have fallen and died, the remaining cats dispersed, seeking new territory and homes. A young cat, you, had decided to go on your own. You settled by a new clan, but quickly left after they would've chased you out. You are skinny and fighting for survival, luckily, you found a place you can call home, and you are now healthy. You search for any cats, hoping they would like to comfort you on your journey.
(This seems like fun! I can't wait to play.)
TideClan | utena wrote:
tideclan is located on high cliffs facing the pacific ocean, where the wind is constant and the skies are typically overcast. the clan camp is guarded by a thick blackberry bramble, where tall pines guard the area from harsher gales. an abandoned twoleg cabin serves as most of the dens; with half of the roof caved in and vegetation springing from the wooden floor, the cats have reclaimed this house as their own. meetings are held when the leader stands on the windowsill, with the rest of the clan gathered below.
the rest of the territory is vast, covering the cliffs to the very edge of the sea. an old lighthouse marks the northern end of their land, where cats seldom travel; though the place is no longer functional, twolegs are known to stop by. a narrow path makes travelling from camp to the shore easy, though a little precarious to a cat who isn't careful. the beach is wide and scattered with a variety of shells, stones, and other oddities that tideclan warriors adorn camp with. the more peculiar, prettier findings are reserved for decorating one's bedding, or, perhaps, gifts for close clanmates. collecting is a highly encouraged practice within the clan, as it not only brings interesting objects into camp, but it serves as little memories of those who have passed.
like most, the medicine cats of tideclan look to the stars for guidance, but they also hold a special reverence for the moon. they know the moon is what guides the tides, and so they usually sleep where they can see the night sky. other clan members are encouraged to do this when they are in dire need of divine intervention.
prey is easy to come by in tideclan, though, if a warrior likes variety, a lot more effort would have to be put into their hunting. gulls and other seabirds are abundant. towards the beach, there are harder things to catch, such as crabs and other shellfish that lurk in the many tidepools. this simple diet has made many tideclan cats lean; this, along with their typically short, windswept fur, makes the warriors appear rather haggard. gray and brown are the most common fur colors, blending in nicely with the area. tideclan warriors are undyingly loyal and fierce protectors of their own kind, and are resourceful in order to survive in this ever-changing terrain.
footnote: the former tideclan has long since died off from illness and poor leadership. an ancestor of the last leader was called to the territory to start the clan anew.

Snowstar hadn't been able to sleep last night - her den had seemed lonely after hearing Swiftleap's invitation. She'd tossed and turned, staring unblinking at the wall of her small cave. Did she want to be Swiftleap's mate? Or was the invitation of having someone to love her just that tempting? The moment the she-cat was sure the sun was near to rising she rose from her den and hurried out of the cave the clan called camp. The pointed she-cat left the rocky mountainside and found her paws carrying her to the shore of the lake nearby. Snowstar spent several long minutes staring at the gently lapping waves of the swollen lake, staring at her own broken reflection.
A wave of rage swept over her and she struck out at the water, splashing away her reflection. Standing, the leader of Frostclan trotted away from the spot where her own face had infuriated her. Continuing around the lake's edge she took pause when a large trunk of a tree jutted from the water. It'd been there a while - the wood was soft with the absorbed water and no flood ever seemed to carry it away. Snowstar leaped onto the molded wood and slowly placed one paw in front of the other until she reached near the end of the tree. She looked up at the sky, a painting of reds, purples, and pinks. A deep sigh fell from the she-cat, "Can you hear me, Velvet? Are you in the st-stars with Froststar? Or am I alone forever, never to see your gentle face again?" Snowstar hollered out, emotion causing her own voice to crack mid-sentence. Her eyes welled and she could feel that wave of rage about to capsize her. The she-cat turned hard - too hard.
The slick wood gave way under Snowstar's claws as she harshly turned. It broke without a sound causing the she-cat she slip to the side. Snowstar hardly had time to gasp as she plummeted toward the dark waters of the lake but just in the nick of time her paws found a thick branch. She hung there, fear glistening in her eyes, until the branch came loose. The water-logged trunk had no hold and even it's own branches fell like fall leaves from a tree. Snowstar felt the icy waters close around her ribs, stealing her breath away. Her eyes were wide when the branch came crashing after her, slamming into her already breathless body, knocking her deeper into the water. The she-cat's icy blues eyes watched the surface of the lake grow ever farther as she struggled against the water.. She could feel it.. her lungs filling with the liquid, straining for oxygen.
Her eyes started to blur when she finally stopped struggling...

Swiftleap paced beside Thornblossom with a gentle sight, "I think I scared her away.." he mumbled as the she-cat crunched down on the lemming. Thornblossom looked at Swfitleap with a smile, "Swiftleap, calm down. She'd be a fool to turn you down point blank." Taken aback Swiftleap eyed the she-cat. He tilted his head, not catching the smile that crept onto his features. He had to finally admit - Thornblossom was a very attractive she-cat. The splotches of orange and black complimented her gorgeous green eyes. Why didn't Swiftleap know Thornblossom as well as he'd like? And why was he suddenly so opposed with the idea of being loved..? The past flashed in the tom's eyes and he shook it away, "Care to go on a hunt walk with me, Thornblossom?" The she-cat smiled and nodded with a purr, "I'd love nothing more, Swiftleap."
The two cats walked outside the cave and began their descent down the rocky slopes, chatting about what they each thought they'd find. Swiftleap actually found himself enjoying the she-cat's company and he was ever thankful for the distraction from Snowstar. The two were so into their chat that they didn't notice that Snowstar was perched on the water-logged trunk. They didn't see her hanging desperately onto the branch.
All they heard was the splash as her body entered the water. Instantly the two turned and without a second thought Swiftleap tore off toward the water's edge. He was near the shore when a white form dashed past him, flew across the trunk and then dived head first into the water. Completely baffled Swiftleap could do nothing but skid to a stop.

Bearmask had been hunting - minding his own business while casually seeking out this Frostclan. He was about to pounce on a mouse when a she-cat caught his attention. A mostly white she-cat with a light grey mask and tail and some of the most beautiful blue eyes - almost at par with his own. Huddled in the bushes he watched as she climbed on to the trunk of the tree - watched her grow angry. Bearmask tilted his head as she spun and watched her fall with little emotion on his face. He narrowed his eyes as her paws clung to the branch and he knew it wouldn't hold long. As if on queue he saw the branch sway and snap away from it's own body. Bearmask was content to watch the she-cat drown until out of the corner of his vision he saw the tom streaming toward the fallen she-cat. This must be them.. With little more thought the tom darted from his hiding spot and sprinted straight toward the waterlogged tree. With elegance the white tom dived nose first into the lake and pushed himself after Snowstar's limp body. Thankfully she wasn't far and it didn't take long for his jaws to close around of her paws. With all his strength he swam to the surface, breaking it in a few seconds and carried Snowstar's body to the shore.
He was greeted by Swiftleap's hissing black and white body, "Get away from her!" Bearmask obliged, "Sorry, I didn't realize saving someone's life was a crime." the white tom snapped. Thornblossom approached, flicking Swiftleap gently with her tail, "He did save her life. Take it easy - he's dripping wet and likely to get sick." Swiftleap's form relaxed. A loud series of coughs interrupted the trio and they looked to see Snowstar's body spasming on the shore.
A while later the she-cat lifted her head drowsily, "Wha..?" she muttered, lifting her head, "How did I get out of the water..?" Bearmask appeared and bowed lightly, "I pulled you out, lady." Snowstar looked into Bearmask's bright blue eyes and felt a wave of gratitude wash over her, "..Thank you." She was quickly overcome by more coughing before passing out again. The trio were quick to make their ways back to camp.

"that's good, riverpaw! head a little bit higher!"
leopardflank watched as her apprentice huffed, climbing further up the wet bark with the ball of moss still in her mouth. tempeststar had tagged along to see the progress of the apprentices, and was not disappointed--both tigerpaw and riverpaw were doing well, right on track in their training.
"you've done well so far, leopardflank," the black tom purred, and the golden warrior nodded curtly, her chest fluffing a bit with pride as she held her chin higher, ever so slightly. "she's going to be a fine warrior very soon. i'm pleased."
the spotted she-cat nodded again in return. "i believe so. she's eager, and she follows directions quite well. after this, i think we'll head over to find brindleclaw and tigerpaw, and begin working on hunting. she already has swimming down pat--a natural."
tempeststar chuckled softly. "i would hope so. swimming is one of the most essential skills a tempestclan cat can have."
as the two conversed, the ferns parted to reveal the clan's trio of medicine cats, moss in their jaws. blazenose dipped his head in greeting, and rainpaw did the same beside him, lowering her head.
"blazenose, pinefur, rainpaw." tempeststar greeted. "how goes the herb gathering?"
"good. rainpaw almost recognizes all the types of herbs, though she still has trouble differentiating some of the leaves."
"okay, riverpaw! you can come down now!" leopardflank meowed in the background, and the black tom nodded.
"good to hear. have you two done any climbing yet?" he asked, his green gaze shifting to rainpaw, who shook her head shyly, not saying anything in return.
"a little, but not much."
"leopardflank!" tempeststar called after a moment of deliberation, and the golden she-cat bounded over, apprentice at her side.
"yes?"
"have riverpaw and rainpaw climb together. riverpaw is good at it, and this would be a good chance for rainpaw to learn."
leopardflank nodded, and riverpaw gave a squeal of excitement, racing back over to the tree.
"come on, rainpaw! it's super easy once you get the hang of it."
the smaller of the two silver tabbies seemed unconvinced, looking up at the looming cedar with wide eyes. was this really okay? rainpaw glanced back, unsure, and blazenose nodded encouragingly from where he watched.
riverpaw latched onto the bark, digging in with her claws. "you can go slow! do one paw at a time. left front, right back. right front, left back. like walking, but vertical to the ground!" to demonstrate, the she-cat scrambled up a little ways, before glancing down, eyes gleaming. "like that!"
"o-okay," rainpaw conceded, before gingerly beginning to follow directions. one foot at a time, tiny movements, deep breaths. slowly, the smaller apprentice began to make her way up, feeling less and less frightened as she went.
"there you go!" leopardflank called from below them. "you're doing just fine!"
to the small apprentice, it certainly didn't feel like it, but the words boosted her confidence a bit.
"after you've climbed up far enough, that's when you pick a branch!" riverpaw purred, glancing about before making her way over to a cluster of two branches, set close to one another, one large and thick, the other looking equally sturdy but much thinner. "you want to make sure that it can support your weight, so always test beforepaw." riverpaw reached out, and swatted the branch harshly, before placing her weight on it slowly. "like that! once you know it's safe, you climb on up!" giving herself a push, riverpaw caught the branch and pulled herself onto it, looking back triumphantly.
rainpaw swallowed, but nodded. that seemed easy enough. "okay." she mewed, making her way over to the branches. she reached out, and gently placed her paws on it. solid, like riverpaw said.
however, below them, tempeststar stiffened. like a whisper in his ear, his heart told him something was wrong. cedars didn't normally grow back branches so close together, did they? the two apprentices were so high up, it was hard to tell, but--
"riverpaw, rainpaw! get off of there!" the leader yowled, throwing himself onto the bark and scrambling upwards as fast as he could.
"wha--?" rainpaw glanced down, and a stomach-churning crack rang out through the air. one of the smaller branches gave way, and the whole of the thick, seemingly steady base branch shifted, knocking rainpaw's center of balance off. she lost her footing, and reached out, paws catching the small ledge offered as the large, hulking piece of wood slammed down right on top of it.
rainpaw screamed.
agony ran up her legs as her front paws were crushed between the two branches, her mind filling with white-hot, searing pain, her back legs lashing out, clawing at the wood as her tail thrashed. she could feel the bone give way, ground down by the weight of it, and cried out again desperately, vision swirling.
her head fell back, and horror stabbed at her belly.
the branch had rolled, catching riverpaw between itself and the tree as it had broken away, and she was limp, the branch slowly sliding downward across her paws and grinding against the main trunk of the cedar. in moments, it would fall, and rainpaw could already tell she wouldn't be able to hold on. a yowl of pain left her as the wood crushed more of her front legs, and she could her the urgent cries of her clanmates below.
finally, the pressure was gone. with one last groan and the crackling of twigs, the branch fell, riverpaw along with it, tumbling to the ground below and landing with an ear-shattering thud, shaking the base of the cedar. rainpaw couldn't tell the throbbing pain from numbness as she slipped, unable to control her bloodied, maimed paws, and slid back, feeling nothing but air.
then, teeth in her scruff.
tempeststar leapt from the tree trunk, catching the apprentice in his mouth, and shifted his body as he lost footing on the tree. like this, at least, he could save her. like this, he could sa--
the world went black.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
when tempeststar opened his eyes again, he was lying in his den, tiny rays of sunlight shining through the thick leaves and ivy the provided him cover from the rains. his vision swam, colors and shapes bleeding together, and he felt numb. his breathing was weak. his front foot twitched, but he could feel nothing in his hind legs, a heavy, throbbing ache in his face and back.
"tempeststar? are you awake?" came swiftfern's familiar voice.
"...barely..." he breathed, finding it difficult to draw in breath through his nose. "where's riverpaw? rainpaw? are they alright?"
"...tempeststar." came the disheartening reply. "...riverpaw is dead. she was likely dead before she touched the ground. rainpaw is in the medicine cat's den--she survived, thanks to you. blazenose said the first night will decide if she recovers, but she avoided paralysis and damage to her head, thanks to you."
the black tom could hear his own heavy breathing fill up the dark space.
"i couldn't catch them both."
"no one could have."
"i wish i could have."
"accidents happen, tempeststar."
the leader closed his eyes. "...as long as she survives."
"yes, tempeststar. she'll be alright."
with the whisper of starclan in his ears, tempeststar's consciousness slipped from his grasp, pulling him away from the terrible ache in his skull. while he slept, riverpaw would be buried, her jaws open and eyes closed, peace on her face. swiftfern did not find it necessary to tell him that they'd lost one of the kits, as well--already the tragedy was hard enough. he would wait until he woke.

Rainclan cats are very superstitious, and they believe that any cat who dies before they have earned their warrior or full medicine cat name, will be reincarnated into the clan so as to live a full life.
