Blazestar had woken up with a thorn in his side. This wasn't his morning, his nightmares of his mother's death still were haunting him in his dreams. He couldn't sleep. However, he had to get on with his duties.
The leader looked across the camp at Vanillapaw and Bearpaw as they cuddled and shared tongues. 'She wants to be mature, but is still too young...' He thought with a roll of his eyes. Blazestar narrowed his eyes at Hurricanecry as she suspiciously trotted back into camp rather early. With a leap down from his rock, he stood very close to the she-cat. "What were you doing out?" He jabbed the question bluntly.
Hurricanecry jumped, her hair on end. However, she quickly composed herself. "Am I not allowed to leave camp?" She calmly stated, yet he could see the agitation as she flicked her tail.
He locked his eyes on her, staring the female down. "Vanillapaw, you and Hurricanecry are going on the border patrol with Flameskip." He stated, not breaking eye contact with Hurricanecry.
Vanillapaw opened her mouth wide as if to say something, but simply stood up. Her annoyance was seen by everyone, obviously disrespecting him. 'Learn your place for now, apprentice.' He scorned, yet kept that to himself. 'Keep a cool head...' He thought, attempting to calm down for now.
